1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best practices to prevent hackers from stealing our crypto assets on: February 28, 2023, 07:20:20 PM
I think that the point of educating yourself includes all other points. From all the books I have read on Cybersecurity from many vendors that offers a lot of training I have been able to spot one thing which is,user education and training is the most important part in any job a user perform and I am making for a second time the analogy here to emphasize how important it is education when it comes to digital assets like our cryptocurrencies are.I agree on everything and I would add to the list a point which is to use secure operating systems like Linux, while this alone won't help people who do not know what they are doing,it will drastically improve the security posture to people who know what they are doing.
That's basically the key point to every safety and every software. I just saw an instagram reel where a father makes a joke to his son, the "recipe" for peanut butter sandwich says "put the knife in the peanut butter" and he just puts it in directly, simply throws it in, not like trying to scoop some up or something, literally just puts it in as a whole.

Now we all know that is not true, but the instruction said "put the knife in" and he did. If users are terrible at security and safety, no matter what type of instructions and what type of tools you provide for them, they will fail to protect their funds. So we need to make sure that we know how to properly do it.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 28, 2023, 06:45:01 PM
The winning goal finally came for Lazio in the last ten minutes and they got the win. We are seeing them in top 4 temporarily but this is very likely to change as well.

Because Roma are going to play against Cremonese and I think it will end up with a victory for Roma. I remember their Coppa Italia game which ended quite surprisingly. It is time to have their revenge on Cremonese. The Serie A is a much more serious tournament in the end so I expect Roma to show a more impressive level of performance for the win. It might just not be by a big goal gap.
1.73 for Roma to win is pretty high considering the fact that they are playing against the team at the bottom of the league, I would for sure consider betting on Roma here to get their revenge with such high odds, just like what happened with psg and Marseille on ligue 1, 3-0 is a good score.
Definitely a good one, since this is not Napoli we are talking about, and Roma, that means the odds make a bit of sense, because they are not doing that amazing neither, and they are not really on an amazing momentum neither, so the odds "sort of" makes sense from the oddmakers point of view.

However, it is definitely a good bet to have, specially when you consider if you wager on Juventus to win as well, when you combine these two bets suddenly you have a very good return on your bet, I did that and I am quite happy about it. We still don't know what will happen, maybe one of the teams will lose, but at this moment it looks like both could win and odds make it worth the risk.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 28, 2023, 06:23:39 PM
Juventus know that if they win Europa League, they will be awarded a special ticket to join Champions League in a next season. They do know that it's impossible for them to complete Serie A in top four because they have too big gaps with top five at the moment. The deduction with 15 points is harmful for Juventus chance to finish in top four.

Winning Europa League is not easy but it is a more realistic task for them than ending in Serie A top four. They don't have to chase any club in Europa League and task is beating each opponent to the last one in final match. Juventus have enough good players and a very experienced coach in cup format, Allegri that can help them lift Europa League.
That is going to be a big deal for them, and knowing that they are doing a very tough job right now, it's going to get even worse. They are not playing well enough to win europa, they are not playing well enough to beat anyone to be fair, they are losing to everyone and failing miserably right now.

This is why I would suggest that the best thing to do at this moment is to make sure that they are ready for next season. Forget about this year, just focus on next year and maybe they will get a better manager and a better team. It's obvious that they were trying to rebuild the whole team but as we can see they failed, so they need a better management.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: February 28, 2023, 09:41:03 AM
I would like to point out that these methods are exclusive to countries where those services are available. It is usual that, for example, some franchises offers those discounts in United States but does not in Latin America. The same happens with food coupons.

My methods on saving money on food are mostly based on buying cheaper food and prepare one's meals oneself.
Sardines and beans are cheaper than beef and chicken.
True, not all countries will get a discount like that even for 1 full month. In fact, in just one country, different regions can have different prices and also discounts.

My method on saving money is that the most important thing is being able to buy rice first, because it's not usual to have breakfast with bread and consuming a lot of bread is also expensive. Then the side dishes are optional, if you already have rice, with just the fried tofu is delicious. All will depend on income and save as much as possible.
This is true in my nation, my parents live in a different city then I do, and they have different prices than I do. Since they live in a small local town, they have some food stuff that are cheaper, because there are farms and orchards and so forth around them, which makes the food cheaper because they don't really have to travel to anywhere to get it, or the food doesn't have to come to them, it is literally just a walking distance away.

However, some other stuff like internet, or electricity is higher. Because they far further away from any big city, which means the providers of that service needs to spend a good chunk to get it to them.
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 27, 2023, 07:04:33 PM
cryptocurrency trading is very beneficial but for it there is needed some amount of money because you can make money by using money. If a person have money so I will suggest that never use your whole money as investment because investment is not that thing which will surely help you in enhancement of profit but if you decide wisely and grip coin like Ethereum and bitcoin for at least three or four year so yes it's true that it will enhance your chances of earning.

nowadays There are not such jobs which can provide you huge money for the successful life so crypto trading will help you in this case. Individuals are getting cash through trading and investment in various coins but successful rate depends completely on selection of coins.
I agree that it is quite tough to find a job that will give you enough money to live a very rich life, as a "job" you are employed by someone and that means you are going to make very little compared to executives and owners, and that is why you should be staying away from it as much as you possibly could.

If you have your own business, then it could be better than investment, instead of buying bitcoin, you could buy a machine that makes you even more profit, that is understandable. However, if you are a worker, then trading bitcoin on the side could give you that extra push that you need and it could definitely help you with what you are trying to achieve.
1326  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 27, 2023, 06:03:21 PM
Education is losing value right now, especially in Nigeria where it has little value, where graduates are wandering the streets looking for jobs, and where a large number of people are still enrolling. I believe we need to diversify into other areas, such as learning a skill or entrepreneurship, as people here have the mentality that you can't succeed or make it if you don't go to school, which is a very bad mentality.
In my opinion, education is learning knowledge, education is not necessarily going to school to be called education. You can study anywhere as long as you have the knowledge, without knowledge, you will never do anything. I wonder, without knowledge, how you would do business, who would hire you to work for them? I have a nephew, he studied well and got a job right out of school, while his friend still doesn't have a job. In this case, should we blame the education system or ourselves?
This is true, in fact I have met with so many coders who never went to school for coding and yet they are coding better than many people who studied software engineering at school. You know why? Because you can give someone a Harvard level education and if they don't care, and barely pass enough to graduate, and not work on their craft, they will be bad, doesn't matter how good the education was.

But, if you give someone online course education, provably worse, yet they work hard 12 hours a day to be better at it? They will beat the other person with what they do and what they know. So education is something that happens when the student wants to learn, not the other way around.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 27, 2023, 10:49:53 AM
Atalanta have started to be quite inconsistent again and this caused them to be a little away from top four. It looks like this season can be a similar one to the previous season for them. Actually they have a really good potential for qualifying for the Champions League. But they just can't use this in an effective way. Their squad quality is quite decent normally.

There are four teams ahead that have the same goal now. Therefore it will be really difficult for Atalanta to be successful in this. But there are still more than 10 weeks left. They just need to start a good form immediately.
Inconsistency is something you usually have when the strategy is not stable enough, which is not true because they have been playing similar to what they always played and that means they shouldn't be this inconsistent at all. I can't really put my finger on the main reason why they are suddenly so great and then suddenly so terrible, there must be a reason, there must be some logical explanation on why, which usually is tactics changing constantly but it hasn't.

I really don't know the answer, if you do then please enlighten us, but I just can't figure it out. I guess it is just going to be like this and at the end we are going to see how they ended up.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's second biggest weekly gain happened yesterday on: February 26, 2023, 07:26:30 PM
Yesterday Bitcoin had the 2nd biggest weekly gain in almost a year. At moment it is just hovering around the 25k mark. Either it might break this mark or we might see a fallback.

What do you guys think? Is this Whale manipulation or Bear market is over and we might see a new ATH by end of this year?
Does this mean anything specific for the future though? I understand that it was a good increase, and I am happy to see it, but are we going to see it keep going up, does this mean a start for the bull run? Or is it just a regular situation and nothing major?

I can't really say which one it is but I can say that it is definitely not what I can guarantee at this moment, it is definitely not a sure thing, maybe this big increase wasn't something good? I hope that it is something good, but I am guessing that it may not be at all as well. I don't mean that bitcoin will go down, hopefully it will go up, I am just saying that it is not a must at all, it may change.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 26, 2023, 02:05:01 PM
I see that btc almost hit 25k$ this morning and i believe that if btc rise 25k$ most of the altcoins will also rise or follow btc trend, so i think this time will be the very best time to decide what altcoins can give us profit in short term investment if you have any suggestions please extend or let me know.
with 1 week or more that this is happening? and bitcoin crossed already 25k ? i find now coin that manage to bring best profit because most are also following the movement of bitcoin , from pumping then dumping .
lately the price is consistently holding 23-24 coins for the whole week mate.
if this does not change in the next month then I believe we will be leaving the market with this 20k level till the end of the year.
I think an understanding of how crypto moves is lacking with most people. People think that it is going to be volatile at all times, I believe that we will go beyond 24k, and we will not be seeing 20k for the rest of the season, but that is how it all works if you look at it from a realistic stand point. People saw that it moved up for a while, and they all start t consider that it will keep going up no matter what.

I agree that if we can't crack above 25k, then we will not be getting any better later in the year as well, my only different opinion is that we are going to see it crack 25k during this spring, not going to be tomorrow or anything but it will happen.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 25, 2023, 09:29:09 PM
The championship race in the Bundesliga this season is very exciting. Because for the first time in a long time, there are too many candidates. Borussia Dortmund are among the favourites. I think Bayern Munich will be champions again this season. But Borussia Dortmund can push them and make a surprise. They have 6 wins in a row in the league. They beat Chelsea in the Champions League on weekdays. They are going through a very good time. Their current rivals Hoffenheim are going through a very bad time. They have lost 9 of their last 11 league games. In my opinion, Borussia Dortmund will win this match and increase the difference in points with Bayern Munich.

Dortmund will definitely get this one. Hoffenheim is a tough team against big clubs, Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund, Berlin, they all have harder than usual time against the club historically, Hoffenheim could lose to Schalke and beat Bayern back to back, they are a weird team like that, no idea what makes them such a club, but that's how I have seen them for years now.

But even with that in mind, I am sensing that Dortmund has so much riding this game and would not lose. Bayern would probably get a win as well and both teams will continue their fight on another platform, tiny bit away from Berlin. Wagered both to win already, not entirely sure how it will end up.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game that you suffer consistent losses but still keep playing? on: February 25, 2023, 09:04:19 PM
It all started when I saw a tweet of casino about user winning jackpot prize on a slot game. I become interested to try my luck hoping that I can manage to win that same multiplier or close to it. At first I’m winning decent profit like 6$ for a 0.1$ bet in just a couple of spin then later on the slot game stop giving profit even after many spin. This scenario keeps happening to multiple times but still I can’t stop playing this slot game whenever I’m visiting the casino. I’m winning on other game but this specific game keeps draining my funds.

The game is called Big Bamboo by push gaming. I keep coming back because of its cool animation and early payout. This attracts me to play more because it gives me false hope that I can win bigger amount on next spin.
Simply just Dice, nothing more. It is basically an obvious game where you are not going to end up being the winner, you are not going to get anything in the longer run, and I keep gambling on it ever since the earliest days, literally since satoshidice on-chain dice and yet I still can't stop.

It's obvious that I am going to lose, even if I end up with a short run of wins and get a profit, I am going to eventually lose that too, there is no other choice, and yet for no known reason ever, I still gamble on it. Like for example in sports betting I could end up breaking even in the long run, it looks that way, even at slots, but for some reason Dice has been terrible for me and yet I still gamble on it.
1332  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 25, 2023, 05:00:29 PM
has it ever occurred to do the drawing directly, I mean broadcast live so that all can witness and of course there will be a lot of hope that the tickets they get have, have the opportunity to get their ticket out as a lottery winner, it will certainly appear transparent that the draw is indeed random but that will make everyone sure that this draw at Freebitco is true and honest, so that there are no skewed thoughts towards the draw at Freebitcoin.
Broadcasting the drawing can create excitement and anticipation for participants. Knowing that their ticket could potentially win can be a thrilling experience, and watching the drawing live can add to the suspense. However, I don't think that this will contribute significantly to transparency, since the FreeBitco.in lottery is already provably fair and it has multiple safeguards in place to ensure that winners are picked randomly and fairly.
I am not entirely sure if it's even doable. I mean the current system is definitely a "drawing" but in the sense that it's not really a drawing that's slow, it's a system and they put it in and it shows the winner. Could they do like "anticipation" type of thing beforehand and then the result will come in quickly anyway?

Maybe they can, but would that be bringing enough new players and more purchases etc to make it worthwhile? I am not entirely sure. If they make the same amount of money as they are right now, then what's the point of doing that just to make it more "fun" for the current customers, financially it would be the same anyway, no reason to test it and then take it away.
1333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: February 24, 2023, 08:24:04 PM
Bitcoin price growth has started since early 2023, you should check again BTC price history.
Sure, when we have some increases in Bitcoin price, there will be some corrections. But the price continues to raise gradually, the corrections are just the beginning for the next higher price. You must remember that BTC price was $17k-$18k before January 2023, it can reach $25k this month. We can see a positive move in BTC price during early 2023.

Well, everything looks good so far, BTC price has increased as predicted. So, no doubt that BTC to continue to increase!!
Corrections are basically people who got in when it was cheap, and selling to take their profits. This is normal and happens with every single increase in price, but I always found it wrong because if they don't do that, then we would see even higher prices and they would make even more profit.

It's alright though, they could ignore that as much as they want to but in the end we are going to definitely see it grow bigger, no matter how much they sell. Because of two reasons, one is the fact that there are plenty of people who are holding right now, and two is the fact that these sellers sell to someone who would hold until it is higher than what they bought.
1334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 24, 2023, 07:12:24 PM
And still though, we haven't seen $25k after that huge spike, on the contrary, the price went sub $24k in the 4-8 hour time frame. But the good news is that price goes up to $24,100 but far from what we wanted to see this February which is $25k.

So as others says, the selling pressure is still there and somewhat $25k is a big barrier in front of us. And we are just a week before the end of the month, so it's going to be close if not sure if there is some push to get into that $25k again, in my opinion.
I know that people are quite upset the way it is right now and I get that, but the reality is that we are at least trying to get higher, and that's an important thing to do. I know that not many people would be happy about the current situation, and they rather see it go up a lot more, which is understandable. But that doesn't mean that we should be avoiding buying more just because we think it may go down.

Look at how the drops are always recovered, this isn't the first time as we all know, we have gone above 24k a few times, and then dropped and recovered above 24k quickly again, which proves 25k+ will come soon enough if we wait.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 24, 2023, 05:36:18 PM
Osimhen has scored 20 goals across all competitions for Napoli this season. I know he is in good form with his current team. If he wants to actually go to another club, I believe it should be an upgrade. But, there is no chance for him to go to Chelsea right now. That is not going to be an upgrade.

Of course, he can go if he has some emotional attachment to Chelsea, which I don't believe he has. Manchester United can be a decent option right now if he wants to move to the English Premier League. But he has to remember that Manchester United is not very stable even at this moment. I hope he chooses his team correctly. Personally, I do not think it is going to be a good idea to leave Napoli right now for Osimhen.
Napoli will be offered a lot of money, and so will Osimhen too, when a team offers x2 or even x3 more than what you are getting paid right now, you do not reject those people, plus being in those big clubs could actually mean more money on endorsements as well since they have more viewership.

So there is no scenario Osimhen says no to United or Chelsea or any other team that big, even if he was benched, it would be still better for him financially and he could at least show himself when given chance. Plus, no team is buying Osimhen for that much money just to bench him, if United ever gets him, then they plan on using him, but with Rashford being this good, I think they won't.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 24, 2023, 03:35:29 PM
Borussia Dortmund should really take advantage of this good opportunity if they also intend to focus on the Bundesliga title race, especially since they will only be playing with a club that is close to being in the relegation zone.
The current situation definitely points to Dortmund who has been doing very well for a while now, on a great winning momentum whereas other opponents have losses and draws. I am not saying that they will win the league, but a potential leading the league before it ends is quite possible indeed.

Just for example if Berlin and Bayern gets a draw this week, that would be Dortmunds league for a while longer. Of course we still have 10+ more games left, and 30+ more points potential, which means that it's going to be quite tough to make a decision just yet, imagine a league where there are 43 points for leadership, and 39 points to be won if you win it all, so it's literally anyone's game at this point.
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 23, 2023, 09:15:55 PM
How can the government make sure that something like FTX (cooperate finance enriching themselves) never happened again? Crypto is presently not regulated and I don't see how regulation will fix this issue, my concern is the CBDC, I think it will work better as the real Stable coin, unlike Luna UST that team claimed was back by dollar but was not backed by anything... Wouldn't CBDC fixed this issue of fake USD backed stable coins?

You as a crypto adopter would you like to use CBDC if the pairs are available on all crypto exchanges as a way to store yourself some digital US Dollar?
Regulation of crypto after CBDC is created will be a hot topic, and will cause a lot of trouble for many people and raise a lot of questions. I think governments who finally manage to do it, will put a big strain on crypto and its movements and make CBDC a lot more relaxed so that everyone would go towards that instead of trying to work and make the current system better.

I know that CBDC will not be available for many governments for at least years, it is something that they are considering, but governments are slow, they are very large entities which makes them slow so even if they are considering, it will take years for them to do it finally.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 23, 2023, 07:48:44 PM
It's definitely not what everyone expected at the start of the season. Everyone assumed that Real Madrid would win, and I think this 8 point difference shows that sometimes things do not go the way you want them to go. I believe that we shouldn't be expecting them to get a win all the time, they still could, and won most of their games, but that doesn't mean that they will do that, it could end up meaning that they could have a bad season and just end up losing.

I believe that Athletico Madrid game will be very tough, could they win? Of course they can, they are Real Madrid, but that doesn't mean that it is going to be an easy win for them, they have been having hard time, so they may end up losing.
1339  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 23, 2023, 05:00:38 PM
It is very difficult to rely on taking out a loan because there is a return on the money we borrow after our affairs can be resolved. That's the point of having savings in anticipation of emergencies like that so we don't have to borrow money from other people or other places. Sometimes, borrowing money becomes a shortcut for people but they don't realize that the refund must be returned as soon as possible. There are some borrowers who provide interest for the money we borrow so that our debt becomes even greater.

If that happens, we are really in trouble to repay the money because the amount of money we owe is getting bigger and bigger. We definitely don't want to get into such difficult situations so we have to have some spare cash for those emergencies.
It is definitely true that we can't really make a big loan to pay off our debts, I did that back in the day, I am still paying off a bit of debt, not a lot, very tiny, like 50 bucks a month and it's fine, I could have paid it full as well but I wanted to keep it for something urgent and it happened and I spent it on that, and paying my debt easily.

But, if I had a lot of bitcoins, and it went up? Then I would have been rich enough to not take a loan at all and would have been able to pay it directly. This is why I am trying to save again and trying to get wealthy again, thanks to bitcoin price being so low, I can gather a lot and make a x5 profit in the near future.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 22, 2023, 02:24:20 PM
I don't know why people feel disappointed with Union Berlin. It is not easy to go five matches unbeaten and finally you got a draw not even a loss and people keep complaining that in Berlin was supposed to win the match. Is it that easy for everyone to be winning matches. To the best of my knowledge Union Berlin has really tried for this season and they will keep up that way by next season they will do well in the Champions League and also be more advanced in German Bundesliga and may likely be winners in the next 2 to 3 Seasons if they remain consistent
The main criticism is that they had a great chance to reach place 1. But they did not use this chance. So it is absolutely legitimate to criticise that.
But you are absolutely right and I think I understand what you mean. At the beginning of the season nobody expected Union Berlin to be where they are now. We have to acknowledge that and pay respect to the whole team.
That is the "elite" level trouble that these other teams could face. There is this cultural thing, where Dortmund and Bayern could play with 100% and not worry about leading the league in a single game, because they are used to it, Dortmund may have not been in a while but they are a club who could, and did before so it is not a shock to them. However Union Berlin hasn't been leading the league in a while, and haven't been champions... I don't even know if they have been ever.

So all in all, when it comes to "win this game and you lead the league" games, many teams start to play much worse because of the stress that type of game puts on the players.
