1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 14, 2023, 09:19:39 PM
I believe it depends on a person. We all have different vices, but jealousy isn't one of mine. So I don't feel sorry that I didn't get in on Bitcoin early, and I don't regret any of mine Bitcoin-related decisions. I'm happy to read successful stories of others, I'm glad that some people knew how to do it right and managed to benefit greatly from that. Also, I feel like I'm a risk-averse person, so I probably would not have risked investing in Bitcoin early on and not selling the minute it starts costing something significant. I did, after all, invest in Ethereum at $16, but I sold at $300. So it would have been similar with Bitcoin, even if I managed to invest in the first place.
I do believe that is to be case, plus if it is in numbers it becomes even harder to be jealous of someone. If your friend gets suddenly super rich, like got millions of dollars, then I could sort of understand and see why that could make you feel worse, because in the end it is just one person and you can see how they grew to be that much richer.

However, when you hear about thousands of people getting richer online, that becomes a bit more like a situation where you could definitely accept it because they are both strangers to you but also there are thousands of people like that. I do not feel envy at all to bitcoin whales because they are just way too many.

So far, we have seen that Arsenal's performance is in pretty good shape and they even left Manchester City with 5 points Maybe it's still too early for us to say that Arsenal are champions, just like what you said right now Arsenal still have some tough games ahead, the match against Manchester city, liverpool and chelsea can be a real test but i think if out of those three games arsenal can get 6 points and all the rest of the games can be won then it is certain that arsenal will win, the toughest game in my opinion is against manchester city and let's see if Will Arteta be able to break Arsenal bad record every time they face Manchester City?
Lets to see
Maybe the game against City and even maybe Liverpool could be a trouble but I really do not think that Chelsea will be a problem for them. This year Chelsea has played terribly and they are going to face teams like Newcastle who has been a lot better than Chelsea this season as well, so if they need to fear any team after that two then I would say that Newcastle has a bigger chance to get some points from that game than Chelsea could.

I do not even think that Liverpool would be an issue neither, if they play like their United game then they can beat Arsenal as well, but if they play like most games they played this year then they will lose.

Curtis is a veteran of the industry, I guess thats one factor in favor of winning an Oscar.  Not just the film performance but the career as well though Im not sure it has to work just like that but her dad was famous as well.  Certainly she has been in some Oscar winning films another factor I'd consider for improving the possibility, me personally I liked the film but am really surprised its such a contender this year vs other possibilities.
It's official, Yeoh finally won after a long battle.

Although it's definitely hard to pick between these two talents.
Everyone may hate me for saying this but I honestly still think that she didn't deserve it, not because she acted badly, she acted greatly and she is a great actor there is nothing wrong with her at all.

However, I always felt that the movie was not that great and I watched it several times and I still think that she wasn't as good as Oscar buzz made it seem like. In the end, I have to say congratulations, even though my best candidates lost, I feel like there is this logic behind Oscars that I will never understand and she is a great actor so there is nothing wrong with such a great one to win it in the end and that's why I feel like it was all ok in the end.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 13, 2023, 06:54:29 PM
It's normal to foul in that situation, but what's not normal is taking too much time before fouling Josh Hart. It's just unfortunate that he didn't miss the free throw, and even if the Lakers made the 3-point shot, time was not in their favor. Maybe they'll reflect on what happened, as they came back but wasted the opportunity to have a chance to win in the end.
What is to be so aware of? I mean players should be aware of the time that is remained, and the point difference and they should know if they should foul or not. There is no scenario where it is alright to let the other team take so much time when the situation is like that, what did they expected Knicks to throw the ball in the air? Obviously the time would run out if you do not foul right away.

Plus, we are talking about a situation that doesn't even require the coach to tell you to foul, it is the common sense and you should be doing it right away even without getting any orders from the coach as well. This was a simple mistake, shouldn't be repeated for sure.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 13, 2023, 05:53:19 PM
there is no guarantee that Manchester City won't lose any points. Recently it wasn't like they are winning everyone of their games by a big margin. Sometimes yes, and now it was a penalty that decided about the win.

Manchester City is as hard under pressure as is Arsenal right now, but you are right that they should not lose easy points along the way now. There isn't much room for error, but that's the same situation for Manchester City. But Man City has one joker and that is the game at home against Arsenal by the end of April. Until then Arsenal has to try and keep going.
Everyone felt like Arsenal would be the ones that will be under pressure and they will not be as good as they started the season which seems definitely a funny thing as of now. However, if you look at it City is a lot more under pressure to keep winning and get the leadership and they are having a bit of hard time, barely winning games and all that, even getting draw when they were close to being the leaders.

All in all I still think that Arsenal could win this season, they look like they have what it takes and they do not crack under pressure neither and doing very well. Obviously losing to City was a bad game, if they won that then everything would look differently today.
1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good wallet I can use to store Bitcoin? on: March 13, 2023, 04:33:59 PM
There are many apps you can try to store your first bitcoin and it's free as always. Just keep safe your pass phrase so that you can recover it anytime if anything happen to your phone. If you have much bigger budget just get a hardware wallet which is far better, safer and superior from non-custodial wallet apps.
There is more time to search for the ideal bitcoin wallet to utilize. Although Trust wallets are considered soft wallets and are only accurate and useful for bitcoin transactions, they are safe for storing Bitcoin. The security mechanism that keeps scammers out of soft wallets is a set of 12 secret key words, yet they still get in through phishing emails. Other than soft wallets, storing bitcoin in hard wallets is safer. Although there was a certain time this phase took place, Bitcoin made both pump and dump moves in the market.
I would guess that anything where people could open up your computer and steal your money is more than enough to be considered a safety risk. I think it would be a lot better if you could end up with something much more safe, such as hard wallets like trezor or ledger because they are a lot more better.

Someone could have your phone, your wallet, your computer and they would still not be able to hack into it and steal your money. That type of thing triumphs over everything else. This is of course for people who want extra security, like if you want to make sure it's safe and have a lot of money. I personally don't have enough to worry this much.
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto related jobs on: March 12, 2023, 08:51:48 PM
So if ever one of you guys know such jobs or sites, can you list me what's your favorite ones?
I would say that crypto.jobs is the best one but if you want to have a chance then you need to speak with the person hiring and in that case this place and reddit would be the best one.

I think it is easy to say that it is going to take a while before people could make a decision like this but if you could talk with them personally then you would be doing a much better job because you would be basically getting the first hand experience of convincing them. That is at least what I do, because normally if you apply to a job that 10 thousand people applied to with a CV then you may not get it, there is a 99.999% chance that there is someone with a better CV than yours out there.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 12, 2023, 12:53:09 PM
I'm sure no one thought that Liverpool would be that bad, I'm quite disappointed to see the way Liverpool played, I see that they underestimated this match a little maybe they thought Bournemouth wasn't a tough opponent there were many reasons for the first meeting where Bournemouth lost badly without being able to score, as well as in the previous match how they beat Man United, it's quite a shame this season Liverpool have actually lost several times to teams who weren't considered to have the capacity to beat them, they lost to Bournemouth, Wolves, Forest this was very disappointing, Salah's failure to execute a penalty kick made them even more disoriented.
Many people thought they were the best team after beating Manchester United 7-0 but they are a mediocre team who had a good game against Manchester United who did not wake up from bed! It was the worst game of the season for Manchester Untied and I expect them to bounce back and good on a run of good form to finish the season. I expect Liverpool to finish outside the top 4 and prove to every one that the game was a 1 off result and nothing more.
I honestly do not believe this, to my core. I think they are a good team that had a bad season, not a bad team who had a good game. When you look at the team, this is just one player or two short from the last season when they were fighting for a title in premier league and also played the finals in UCL, so they are not that bad at all, they are doing as well as imagined.

However, we are talking about a bad season because they lack Mane that's true but they were also in injury trouble most of the season and also they never got a form, they were always in a bad momentum. I hope they can fix this, because it doesn't look good at all if you ask me.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Biden budget proposes 30% tax on crypto mining electricity usage on: March 11, 2023, 09:02:48 PM
I find it funny seeing so many people think that this has already become a law already. There's a huge difference between proposal and law. Crazy crypto related proposals are suggested all the time, but very few become laws.

This particular proposal sounds like one of those proposals which will get swept under the rug pretty quickly since US senators stand to lose more thanks to it in the long-term.

Stop jumping to conclusions and think for a second. Just my 2 cents.
That is the saddest thing about media and it really hurts me deep down. You could always title something as good or bad and convince people accordingly, and if enough news people do that, then suddenly one thing could become very good or bad. Lets take this for example, 30% tax proposal right, that is the FACT we have right now.

You can name it "Biden finally accepts crypto by putting 30% tax regulations to legitimize it" and that is taking the fact and stretching the truth to make it look bad, or you can title it "Biden wants to warn people against crypto and put 30% tax on it" type of thing and that would be bad, just name whatever and people who do not know the reality will fall for it.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 11, 2023, 07:08:49 PM
It seems that many have felt disappointment for Inter Milan in this match. because to be honest I was very disappointed with this result. especially when Martinez failed to take advantage of a Penalty kick which should have made Inter have an additional goal in this match. After seeing this, I even doubted Inter Milan in the second leg of the last 16 of the Champions League later.
This is a major problem with Inter and that is why I have never rated them highly. They're so not reliable. You can never bet on them and be certain that they'll get the job done. They struggle too much even against the smallest teams. Dortmund is another team that is like this, so was Arsenal. These are teams that you can never rely on, they'll always find a way to disappoint you.
What excuse does Inter have for not winning Spezia? And they actually played way better than Spezia. They had so many attempts to score but they couldn't make use of all those chances, that's what I found most frustrating. Although Dragowski (Spezia goalkeeper) was superb, Inter should have utilized their chances.
The weirdest thing is that they were the one that gave Napoli their first ever loss this season, the best team in the league lost to Inter, and Inter still could end up losing to bad teams anyway. That basically shows that they are not doing as well as they hoped they would and that's the issue.

I personally believe that the best thing to do right now would be making sure that they are doing fine, and not going down, they may lose a few games like this, but if they can finish at the top levels and go to UCL next season, that would be good enough and nothing else should be expected from Inter because they can't deliver it with this team.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: About Rapid Wealth Accumulation on: March 11, 2023, 06:26:38 PM
This depends on if you want to be a millionaire on paper or if you actually want to have a million dollars in a bank account somewhere. If you want to just say you’re a millionaire then DeFi is the place for you. You can get locked into some shitcoin with massive interest payouts and if you’re early will no doubt be a millionaire on paper for a while. When it unlocks the value crashes and all your money is gone, but for a while you can say you’re a millionaire on paper. That’s the fastest and easiest way. The long hard way is to invest in Bitcoin and help grow the community instead of shilling shitcoins, but that takes 8 years and dedication.
That is unfortunately true. There are so many people I know who had so much money (not millions) that ended up being basically nothing when the time came for it to be unlocked. This happened during the 2021 defi hype period, they were basically rich for a few days before all came down crashing down on their portfolio.

It is sad to see someone get that much hyped about being rich, and then get upset that they do not have as much as even what they invested, which is why it was such a sad situation to be in. I hope that the same mistakes won't be repeated again this time around again, because we will see similar stuff and I hope people won't fall for that.

What we can do is be patient with the decision to invest in FUN Token, 2 years is quite a long time but in that time we can get other benefits from WoF or interest when storing BTC here.
Investors who are patient with the assets they have chosen will enjoy better profits, a lesson we can take from BTC holders, those who are still holding for a long time are enjoying seeing their portfolio value increase.
And a good investor will always be realistic with the profit that will be obtained because if we expect hundreds or even thousands of percent profit in the short term then it's more of a speculators.
I think that is the benefit of FUN token, you do not just invest and hold, it does something meanwhile. It is obviously not the first coin ever to do something like this, there are others that you stake and such, so it is not the first. However, there aren't that man that gives you extra benefits on a casino with extra chances.

Like even the extra wheel of fortune could mean a situation where you could earn a Rolex there, very unlikely and a low chance, but it is there and not impossible neither. So that is why this is both great, but also something you need to stay active for unlike others and gives you so much benefits, so you don't just "hold", you participate.
1293  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: March 10, 2023, 09:08:19 PM
Since people ask for listing on Binance only to hype BFG and pump the price, why not whine and ask for listing on every huge exchange and acceptance as an additional currency in one little country like Malta or Liechtenstein? Grin

I think people here focus too much on BFG token, rather than gambling or focusing on BetFury platform in general. Owl.games has Owl token, but community does not seems to care much about it; they just gamble and that is it.

We would better focus on such new feature as https://betfury.io/promo/share-win. Does anyone going try it? Seems easy to participate.
I would guess that since the price is low, and there is actually a centralized organization to talk to, they do whine about it like this. Believe me, if Satoshi was around and the price went down, same people would blame Satoshi for not doing anything to make it go up, and of course they are doing it right now to Betfury as well about BFG.

The reality is that it's a token and it's on the market, if we want it to go up, then we need to all get together and buy it, which would make it go up in price, if we don't do that then asking betfury to make the price go up is highly against decentralization of crypto world and that is just saying "give me money" with extra steps.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 10, 2023, 08:41:19 PM
No matter on what it would be as long it would be putting those bookies on disadvantage, then we do really believe that they wont really be making something to get rid of it if it does really work?

It is really just that a false hope if someone do really mind off about using AI on their betting on which trying out to prove that it does work or have higher chances of winning which we know that it cant be possible.

If you are really that curious about this then you could really test out for yourself whether it is really that working or just people are trying to push up on something
which doesnt really work at all.
I think bookies would not be in disadvantage at all, remember every winning side has a losing side and they make most of their money that way. You may think that the team that won caused the bookies lose some, but then there are other people who wagered on a draw or a win from other side and that could be the case in this situation as well.

I believe that we shouldn't really be doing anything regarding AI with betting because expecting bookies to have a losing side is a funny thing that shows we do not understand the sportsbook business at all. Plus, there will always be situations where the team that is high favorites will end up losing, and they make a bank on that too.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2023, 06:04:49 PM
Corruption will exist as long as the member nations are provided with equal voting rights. For example, for deciding the hosts for FIFA World Cup, Argentina and Brazil have the same voting rights as Palau or Nauru. And this is one of the reasons why there is so much corruption within FIFA. These smaller nations can be easily bribed. Qatar spent $300 billion to host the 2022 World Cup. Don't you think that they will bother paying a few million USD to bribe some of the small island nations to vote for them? And this is exactly how Qatar got the hosting rights for the 2022 edition.
Yeah, the sad thing is that FIFA is rich enough that they do not need to be corrupted, it's the people that are corrupted at the top, or at least it was, can't talk about the current one but they did not reverse any decision neither for legal scare.

However, if you pick people who are honest and true to their word, then you shouldn't be worried about corruption because FIFA is not corrupted as an organization, it's the people in that organization, so you fire them and get honest people and FIFA would not be corrupt at all. Paying a few million or even a lot of million to people could sound easy, but you need people who will say no to bribery like that, hard to find but they exist.

Spoting almost did it but own goal from its player was destroying a chance for sporting to lead the match for the second leg. The next match gonna be a very important and most difficult match for sporting caused by it must be playing at emirates stadium.
Manchester united is coming back again with its true performance. Im so glad that if i have not made the wrong choice for MU vs betis.

Betis looked like a mediocrea team during the match against manchester united.

Look at how stupid pellegrini was comparing EPL to the laliga and said that if la liga was even better compared with EPL.

https://www.football-espana.net/2023/03/08/the-best-football-is-played-in-spain-manuel-pellegrini-compares-la-liga-and-premier-league

He must be feeling embrassed with his statement.
It's really a shocking result, that was the game that destroyed my ticket as well, did not expected Lisbon to play this well. Don't get me wrong I still believe that we are going to see some sort of situation where it is going to be as decent as it gets when the time comes, and it is not going to be a situation where it is going to end up with a problem at all for Arsenal on the second game, because they are just way too good and they have been destroying everyone all year, and I agree that the recent period has seen maybe some unexpected loss or draws for them, but they are going to be fine when the second game comes, they will get a win for sure, I have no doubt.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 09, 2023, 08:50:55 PM
I think it's really not that much of a difficult thing to be fair. If you see it high, you avoid buying, if you see it low, you avoid selling it. It's literally that simple and I have been doing it for many years and I have met some super smart people here, I am not even at top 10% of all the people I know in this community, so if I can do it, then most other people should be able to do it.

It means that it's a bit more about emotions and lack of being able to control them, and that is not just a crypto thing, people who fail to understand or even understand but fail to practice the simplest of trading mechanisms due to lack of emotional control, could probably have the same issue in regular life too.
Yeah, OP has named some bad emotions that could be sad to have, but you never named the good ones which could be equally bad if you are not careful. Being happy, excited, hyped, joyful, greedy, and many other things could actually end up costing you money as well. You should be very careful what you wish for because it could end up being something quite terrible if you are not careful.

I personally ended up with some sort of situation where I made a lot of profit on something, x4 my money and thought that I could actually make a lot more from it as well. What ended up happening was the price going back down again and I barely survived with breaking even.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 09, 2023, 08:15:15 PM
PSG in Ligue 1 is now confirmed to win the title but unfortunately, PSG has been eliminated from the Coupe de France so PSG at this moment no longer has a lot of pressure. Because of these results, of course, PSG will have a lot of freedom to play in Ligue 1 and I think it will also be good if Christophe Galtier makes a lot of experiments when playing against lower-ranked teams to play second-tier players or apply a different strategy with main players.

But if this is not implemented, then PSG's main players, especially Mbappe, who of course has the target of maintaining his position at the top of Ligue 1's top scorers. But, speaking of Mbappe, is Mbappe really going to leave PSG at the end of this season? or not, because Mbappe really wants to play in a team that can go further in the Champions League and PSG is not the right team.
PSG has a few very good players, donnaruma, hakimi, marquinhos, kimpembe, messi, mbappe, and even neymar when he plays, but the rest could be changed if I am not missing any names, I think midfield is their biggest weakness, they do not have any star level players on midfield, and when you are playing against a team that has a midfield that played together for this many years, all you do for full game is try to get the ball from defense to offense and fail to do that most of the time.

They really need to start spending money somewhere other than mbappe, sure he is one of the best right now, but they need a better midfield and need to spend some to get that.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: March 09, 2023, 06:25:19 PM
I have not done this for a long time, but before I was really active at these airdrops, especially the days when you could at least get $5-10 for every project that will give out their coins. Now, it's all either dust or zero. It's back in the days when Etherdelta was still alive, I have no idea if they are still running. Because it can easily be sold for Ethereum and cashed out.
Never have I seen recently a project which airdropped a coin that gained value. Most of them are just created for fun, scammers, or those without a future. Continuing this kind of path is just a waste of energy and effort and you are wide open for an attack. I would not recommend it anymore and it's a pain in the ass finding where those airdrops came from.
During the peak time of bitcoin and bull run, you are right that doing airdrops definitely was a smart thing to do, even if some of them did not pay, you could participate in like 10-20 of them in a single day, and that means even if one of them paid, that wasn't bad.

People made hundreds of dollars by just retweeting something, and that's per month, not per project. I highly recommend staying away from them right now because that really doesn't mean that it could work very well for a while, it is going to end up with being something quite terrible in the short period of time, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a good profit today, we need to wait for the bull.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 09, 2023, 04:52:09 PM
The possibility of Madrid overtake the position is still there, although Barcelona will not remain silent in observe Real Madrid's developments
Conquering the Laliga is the motivation for Barcelona's change this season, Xavi's team will maintain their ambition of lift the Laliga trophy this season

If look back at the records of the last 3 seasons, this is the right season for Barcelona to win Laliga. The three Laliga Atletico teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona will each taste the title for the last 3 seasons
I highly doubt that, I mean if we are talking about mathematical possibility then I agree that there is a "chance" of that happening, there is no denying that it is still mathematically possible. However lets be honest and say that Real is not winning this year, they have already taken the point difference high enough that it looks as unlikely as it gets.

Barcelona would need to go on a losing streak for something like this to happen, is it possible for Barcelona to lose 2 games in a row while Real winning them to make it closer and more believable? Sure, it is possible and has happened before but I do not see that happening this season, not when Barcelona has nothing else left.
