921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 08, 2023, 06:51:12 PM
I've seen over one dozen websites believing that BTC will skyrocket in the upcoming years.
The platform I use is Coinbase.
I'm thinking of just buying BTC-USD and just leaving it be.
Any thoughts on this strategy?
Buying BTC-USD using the dollar cost averaging method is still very relevant to do, but don't let BTC be stored on the buying and selling platform.
Whatever platform you are going to use to buy Bitcoins and choose to just leave it on the buying and selling platform without moving it to a trusted wallet, then that is not a positive strategy but a strategy of handing over the safe keys to robbers to take your money.
BTC USD? Is this some kind of a peg in order to prevent the value of BTC to fluctuate? But I thought OP only wants BTC alone and not other variations with it. That will still work and it was in fact better because there is no risk on it, I mean the coin is originally developed by Satoshi and we are sure that he won't do some manipulations or sabotage it like any other coins out there.

Coinbase is a registered company. It's not new anymore so I don't wonder on why the OP and others are confident on leaving their funds on them for a long time but as you said, it is still better to transfer the coin to the wallet which lets us own our keys because we still don't know what can happen to them later on. It's better to be safe than sorry.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: July 08, 2023, 05:54:10 PM
I can agree when you talk about it is possible a surprise to occur in this incoming election. Actually, Barack Obama was a surprise candidate who ended up winning and beating Hillary out her chances to become the first Woman in charge of the USA. Or I think it was another man... I dont recall.
If the health of Biden continues to deteriorate and Trump ends up in prison, then there will be more chances of a younger and less extreme person to take over the polls.

Though, Trump still could run from Prison, as far as I know.
Knowing how selfish Trump is, I don't think that he will allow anyone else to get nominated from the GOP for 2024 polls. Not even Ivanka. We saw that during the 2020 senate runoff for Georgia. Trump refused to campaign after he lost the POTUS elections and as a result GOP lost two senate seats that they would have won otherwise. If someone else becomes the GOP nominee, then Trump will simply refuse to support that candidate and his supporters will simply sit at home and don't vote in the elections. Democrats are more united, at least when compared to the GOP.
It's not about his ego or being selfish, if he is prisoned, or at least he is in a situation where he can't be nominated, then there has to be another one. What would republican party do, not have a nominee? Of course they are going to offer a nominee for the candidacy.

For the time being, Trump is leading but that is until this investigation is over, when it is over either he will be in jail or he will be the nominee, it all depends on the result. I believe that they are going to have some hard time, but I think it can still be done one way or another. Trump vs Biden is such a shameful period of USA history, a few decades down the line I really hope people look at this as a terrible period and not the period when all this crazy started.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: July 08, 2023, 04:48:20 PM
The crypto market has experienced rapid growth in recent years. However, behind this tremendous potential lie serious challenges related to security and privacy.

What many people are asking is what are the main challenges faced in protecting the security and privacy of users in the crypto market? How can the crypto industry overcome these challenges?
Not realizing how to protect your coins as a measure before you get in is a common mistake newbies make. They get into crypto to make money, and they try to learn more about trading and such, which is understandable because the only reason why they get in is to get richer, and you can't just protect your money to get rich, you need to make more of it that's what getting richer means.

But they keep forgetting about how to protect their coins and eventually they end up getting scammed or hacked, which results with them losing all their money instead of getting richer. That's a terrible thing but that's just the reality we live in, there is no way else and we need to make sure that its not going to be anything different than that.
924  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 07, 2023, 07:06:54 PM
You guys should do better. With this odds provider and robbery mindset u cant motivate people to place bets there.
But since the sports book is so bad anyway we all know they just want casino players.
Many people have been complaining about this for a while but I have accepted the situation at this point. The reason I have been provided for was the fact that the yare giving back bigger when you win something special, and it is also true that they are spending way more on marketing and getting more people so even with these odds they have more gamblers than probably any other place.

So, assume that you are the biggest ever casino and everyone places their bets with you, would you try to lower it? They are already happily playing with you anyway, so you wouldn't feel the need to change that. Aside from that we are talking about bigger returns when you win a promo, bonus, challenge or whatever and that part is true as well, so maybe average you are not earning much, but if you win one of those, you get huge return.

Red Bull is desperate to dominate, huh? even they were willing to intervene in the agreement that should be done by Mercedes. this may be a fairly important agreement in the future for Red Bull in dominating the race.
And I don't think it would be surprising if Ferrari would be able to get Red Bull engineers to be able to fix some of their problems, like revenge, or would they not? let's see how Ferrari responds to this.
@retreat I don’t think that he can carry any secret over but he can suggest more improvements but currently I feel that it’s almost perfect for Redbull and thus I hope that they don’t break something that isn’t broken. Furthermore instead of revenge Ferrari needs to work on fixing their issue’s but if they indeed manage to poach rival engineers and those engineers end up fixing their issues then it’ll be a really sweet revenge.
To be fair aston martin hired engineers from Red Bull and we are seeing the difference that makes for a car, I am not saying "this" engineer would bring in the same results but we can definitely see that he is doing as well as hoped for and that's why it is going to be a tough one for Ferrari. Considering Red Bull is already dominating and Ferrari already having terrible results, I would guess that the new engineer thing doesn't really seem like a good way forward for them.

Red Bull could keep getting better but at what cost, the sport is getting boring again just like when Mercedes dominated it, I did not had that much fun watching Hamilton win over and over again, made it look like he was the best driver ever, when the reality was that they just had a better car than everyone else. We need closer cars, not the other way around.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making a x10 or x100 by short selling on: July 06, 2023, 04:39:35 PM
It's the dumbest thing to use leverage as high as x10 or x100 and open short position on futures, it's just the dumbest thing to do in the world. By using x10 leverage, in case prices increases by 10 percent, you are going to lose all of your money and with x100 leverage, in case price increases by 1%, you are going to lose all money. While it's true that in case prices decreases by 10 percent or even more, you are going to make enormous profit, your timing should be perfect and there is a very low chance one can be that lucky. In the best case, you may succeed with x10 leverage but your timing should be perfect again. Personally, I wouldn't risk with more than x2 or x3 leverage because you have to keep in mind that sometimes exchanges manipulate with futures trading to liquidate assets. You can open Binance and see that sometimes on futures trading, enormously prices increase or decrease, is not on par with spot trading and then after some minutes, it stabilizes. This is the time when your assets will get liquidated, that's why you shouldn't risk with more than x2 or x3 leverage.
Unfortunately there are a lot of people who do that, why do they do that? I have no idea but we all know that they are still doing it. Leverage is a very risky business and we need to realize that it is going to hurt a lot of people and we need to move away from that as quickly as possible as well.

If we keep on trusting that bitcoin will be going up or down for sure and we end up with an investment like that, we are not going to be happy about the result, we need to just realize that's not possible anymore. If you think you are 100% certain that you know which direction bitcoin will go enough to do a 100x leverage trade, you either have to be amazing at trading, or you are going to lose all your money very quickly, that's not that smart.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: July 06, 2023, 03:25:08 PM
Yes indeed, after all Haaland is a great player which of course will make Haaland more closely guarded by opposing defenders. Therefore, it will make opposing defenders prioritize stopping Haaland's movements. So yes, from this style of play, then of course teamwork is very much needed and other Norwegian players cannot always depend solely on Haaland's skills and abilities. Also, with this result it seems that it will still be difficult for Norway to qualify, because so far Norway has only gotten four points from the four matches that have been played.
Being dependent on a single player doesn't always work well. And we have seen this in the case of teams like Portugal, Belgium and even for smaller teams like North Macedonia and Wales. But then, Norway is a very small country and the national league (Eliteserien) is not very popular. Recent downturn in their performance can be attributed to the overall decline due to smaller player pool. Norway is a country that is rapidly ageing, much like Danmark, Germany and Italy. And unlike France and England, they don't have a large migrant population who can inject fresh blood to the national team.
They used to be a bit better but they were never a team that had any chance to win euro cup to be fair. When was the last time you saw Norway as the top three team to win any euro or world cup ever? I do not remember that happening anytime in the past, maybe it has happened back before I was alive, that is a possibility but I do not think that they were ever that great. So, with Haaland now on the field, they are still not that great and can't really make that much difference.

I would guess they will win "some" games, but they are not going to win it all, I do not see even a semi-finals for them neither, the very best ever they could hope for is a good draw against weaker teams hopefully, otherwise maybe not even qualify for it as well.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 06, 2023, 07:46:23 AM
We think that the best thing Messi did was to leave PSG, because the atmosphere there was very bad, I really don't know how he could resist so much, if in Barcelona they took him out through the back door, then they wanted him back I don't understand how human beings can be like this, it's a great gesture that Messi has rejected them, that's something that can be very significant for his life and when they interview him he himself says that he said NO to Barcelona because of the way they scared him at the beginning, in fact since Messi left Barcelona they never won a UCL again.

Now things for the Argentine star are going to change much more , at Inter Miami things are not as Stressful as in Europe , things can look bad for many , but you also have to think about your well-being as a person and for your family , things can Change from one moment to another and everything is going for a better path.
Barcelona never really had a chance to get him back from the start because he remembers very well how the team he provided his 20 years into and his talents and won so much ended up saying "sorry we can't afford you" and basically kicked him off, and did so by trying to achieve that result for many years and different presidents, so they provided proof that the team was in shambles and in bad budget.

PSG was a weird situation, he played not that bad, sure maybe he wasn't the 90 goals Messi per year by that time, but he had like what 16 goals and 16 assists? That's not too bad is it? I would have guessed he would be liked there. I hope he does a lot better at Miami, not just stats but like I hope his life is better there and loved more there at least.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 06, 2023, 07:25:49 AM
I agree with what you said Union berlin in the champions league would be a little bit impossible because the big club competition is there and Union berlin is actually better suited to try to be better in the european leagues.
In the European league, I think Union Berlin will have no trouble testing its performance to try to get a trophy because I also saw last season that Union Berlin has also performed very well and has potential in the European league rather than the Champions League.
I don't think you should give up hope for clubs that will be playing in the Champions League, because that would be underestimating them. Although I won't deny that Union Berlin will probably be better prepared to be in the Europa League.
If they are a bit lucky, then they will be in a group that allows them to be ranked 2nd for example. And also in the knockout round if they are lucky they will meet a club that can be said to be the same as them. Last season, there was actually a surprise from a dark horse club like Club Brugge although in the end they were not too strong to reach the higher rounds.
They should hope that they do not meet with a team that ends up taking the third place, that's what I would say about them. Union berlin will not go out of group stages, the best they will do is group stages at this point, so the only question remaining would be will they be third and go to europa, or will they be fourth in their group and go back home? Because there is a big potential that they could do that too.

I believe that there is a good chance they will end up being quite unhappy with the result as well and may end up with a loss. I am not saying that fourth is guaranteed, but it is also not guaranteed that they won't be. That's their level, third or fourth and they should try to get as many points as they could to get that third place.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 05, 2023, 02:02:49 PM
Going to be a win win for us, if bitcoin goes down, then we can buy cheap coins again, if bitcoin goes up, then just hold on it. So far though we have broken the $30k resistance and we have achieved $31k already.

Hopefully this is still a bullish signal for us, and there are speculators including me seeing the price to go to $36k at the end of the month.

I know it's huge jump but with so many news, then we knows, maybe it's going to be very easy reaching that price.
36K is definitely something that can be achieved, there are a few things we are waiting on right now and if those things happens then we can see it go that high for sure. It is not going to be a simple thing to arrange any of this and we need to make sure that it is going to take a while, but if we can do that then we are going to be fine about it.

People are still worried because we have been doing something that bothered a lot of people with that fall and then the increase stopped so people are worried we might drop again like last month, but I do not think that we are there just yet. I believe we are doing fine and we should be quite happy with what we have. People are just too much worried about the situation and that's not going to solve itself anytime soon.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 05, 2023, 10:53:31 AM
Top players need top managers to excel. See how well the Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland excelled under the management of Pep Guardiola. Steve Gerrard does not exactly fit the profile of top manager, he refused the deal before to move to Saudi Arabia, but since he has been without a job for a while, I am sure he has been forced to reconsider, also joined that the league is getting attention now more than last three months since they started heavily bringing other professional footballers to the league asides Ronaldo. He has some experience in English football as a player and coach in Aston Villa, and that can be of benefit to the improvement of the game of Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Professional League.
Saudis are splashing money like never before. This is the difference between them and the other Arabs. Qatar Sports Investments invested money in foreign leagues and clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain. The Saudis on the other hand are trying to strengthen the local league by spending money to acquire players and coaching staff. And the results are there for everyone to see. Qatar failed to win a single match during last year's world cup, and the Saudi Professional League is about to become one of the top football leagues globally.
Does that make more possible sense or profit though? What Qatar and Saudis are trying to do basically is to make sure they have a source of income after oil ends, one day oil will end and that means they are not going to be as rich as they are right now.

This is why it's quite important to realize that they are going to need some other income. Having a club like PSG to grow big and when oil ends they have something that worths maybe tens of billions of dollars is a good investment, the moment these big names leaves however the Saudi league will not worth anything at all. They are not making a profit now, and they will never make a profit, they will need to pay a lot to get these players all the time, and that means in the future they can't make a profit.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 05, 2023, 09:14:43 AM
I don't think that you fully understand the current gap between Saudi league and Budesliga/Ligue 1. Former is ranked somewhere between 50-60 strongest league, which is equivalent  of German 3rd league and for that kind of league to come into top 5 you would need an insane amount of money, especially in the country that is not known by its rich football history. Also keep in mind that they don't produce their own quality players (unlike Bundesliga and Ligue 1) which is another big problem.
The Saudi League is more like a show league. They don't seem like they aim to increase the quality of the league much more by starting to grow big names from their youth setup. The only thing they aim is to maintain this show by bringing mostly old stars to make supporters happy. They have oil money and they can easily make way better offers than a European team. This is all about the Saudi League.
The other day, a friend of mine made a resemblance that we all laughed a lot. I do not know if you heard of it but there is a "big3" tournament in basketball where old NBA retired players end up playing basketball there, there was even one scenario where one of the players were asked to come back to NBA for one more season just to fill a role, but at least it happened.

So, there players who are like 38 to 45 end up playing against each other 3vs3 with a backup so players can rest as well. That was a funny thing and it is just half court so they do not run around all that much. My friend said Saudi league is basically big3 of football, where players who should be retiring end up going there and getting money because they have their name, that's it. I loved that, it is very true.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 06:20:36 PM
Dame wanting Heat is not really a "terrible" idea, the problem is that the assets Heat would have to give up would be hurting them. I am not saying that it would hurt them more than Dame helps, they would overall be a better team if you ask me, but in the end they will still be left with some empty spaces.

Giving away Herro for example is a mistake, not because he is a great player, of course he is not and any Heat fan would know that he is a sinkhole on defense and needs to work on that, and his Offense relies on shooting alone. However, with Dame on the floor, they will need players like him to stretch the floor. All in all, if Dame was a free agent, that would be simple, but right now it looks like it is not going to be easy decision at all.
His addition on heat can really be a big gamble to that team since they need to give up their good piece and might they lose huge contribution on bench so maybe they need to work this out on free agency and get those guys that can potentially help them if they really want to get Lillard into their team. This is really a big decision that they need to take since they already lose Vincent which and now they might lose more.
I do not care how much they would lose their bench players, if they can get some free agents for minimum and handle that part that would be enough. Right now, they are working towards making a third team, that way Heat would send players to third team, and Portland would send dame to heat, and the third team would pay picks to Portland instead.

So any team that wants players like herro or duncan or whatever, would end up with paying picks in the draft, and Portland would get the picks so they can rebuild after dame, and Heat would get the big trio. Right now, they already made 2 finals in the last 4 years if I am not wrong, and adding Dame to Butler and Adebayo would mean that they could actually be insanely well, making a team that is already good and finalists to even better team is rare and they should do it.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 04, 2023, 05:44:50 PM
Well, in terms of strategy, I think every coach has his own views regarding his squad and I think it will be suitable as long as Enrique is given enough time while he is PSG coach. Enrique is no ordinary coach and with his experience of course things like this are not a problem for him to give good direction to his players.
Enrique will become PSG's coach but enrique must try to make fast move as soon as possible caused by there is limited time for the transfer season. Im waiting for enrique to implement tiki taka on PSG even though it's an old strategy.
The first task to rebuild the club again. Enrique is trying to make sure PSG will have a new form soon.
I mean would you leave if you had 60+ million in salaries and at least another 60+ million on bonuses and such on the club? That would mean that another team must offer at least that much if he leaves, and no team is offering that much for him, not because he doesn't worth it to be fair, it's because that was one of the biggest European contracts ever in history and no team has that kind of money, they would love to offer him even more, 100+100 if they could, but they just can't because financial fair play and to be fair they don't have the money for it.

So, he wants to stay at least one more season and get that bag before he leaves for another club and gets paid a lot less. He already has enough money so it's not that shocking to accept lower after that.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: July 04, 2023, 06:09:22 AM
I still haven't found anyone using AI like this but I'm sure people must be doing it.  Is anyone aware of any reddit posts or other places that people may be discussing different prompts they are using to try and do this sort of gambling?  I'm very tempted to do some sort of thread documenting the success of AI in gambling decisions, but so far I haven't found a good method to do so.  Hopefully I get it figured out before the NBA season starts again.  It would be cool to start doing some fun stuff with AI when that time rolls around again.
The thing is that, at least with OpenAI, the models are trained with old data, years old sometimes. So, you can't realistically use the ready models to ask for a prediction of a game that is happening soon.

The most important data, recent one, is not available in the model yet.

Maybe there are other models trained specifically to do this, including the latest results, and news, etc, but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe people are using them privately, which would make sense.
The most important criteria about "open"AI is that it's open source, well at least a lot of it. It means that you could build your own AI with a good foundation. A lot of people built a lot of AI products by simply getting the base code of openAI and then improved on it or shifted it to whatever they want. With that regard, we could have a company or just some people who will end up downloading that, and then they will end up doing something much better with it as well.

They could put all the information in there and they will do very well. I am not saying that it will be easy setup, but it will certainly be a good period for sure. I think it will be a sad moment to see when AI is used for risky stuff that may end up making you lose money, but it's still good to see it improve at least.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 02, 2023, 06:09:40 PM
I know Harry Kane is a good player but I find it a little bit exaggerated to see him as the unique choice that many teams are chasing starting from EPL teams to La Liga (Real Madrid) and Bundesliga (Bayern Munich) ones.
Kane literally ruined his career when he agreed to extend his contract with Spurs and there is many players who require more attention
I disagree, he is still a great striker with a great talent to score goals and there is absolutely no way that he lost any of that talent. The problem could be money and maybe he doesn't worth as much as Spurs wants for him, I can definitely agree to that part but that doesn't make him "bad" at all, he still is a level of talent that can play in all the best teams and he has been like that for like 5+ years now, so the talent to play is there but money could be questionable.

This is why the part I agree with would be finding either cheaper or even better talents, either you find someone better than Kane, or you find someone that is cheaper and close to his talents. Osimhen is the same, he definitely is a great striker, but not 180 million euro worth at all.
The problem is his age and investment required to get him. I mean would you get a "great striker" for 100 million if he is 30 years old? I personally wouldn't, that kind of money should be reserved for players who have a future, when you buy a 23-25 year old striker for 100 million that means that player could either play for 7-8 years at least, maybe even 10 years for you, or they could play a few more seasons with you and then you can sell them for even more later on.

I think the value at age is the amount of seasons you can give to a team. Technically speaking a player that is 30 but plays great for 10 years would worth 100 million as well, but nobody sees that possibility with Kane obviously and that is why nobody wants to pay that much for him.

There were some rumours regarding Lukaku to join Milan this summer. Is there any update about that? As far as I can see there isn't any development about that. Milan were going to sign him for 40 million euros which is current market value at the same time. He has officially returned to Chelsea now. And his contract is a really long one which is until 2026. I don't know what Pochettino thinks about him but Chelsea must not have any plans about Lukaku from now on.

But actually he can still be a substitute player for Chelsea at worst depending on the performances. If Pochettino insists on keeping him then Milan's plans can be ruined. Milan really need a striker now and it looks like Lukaku is one of the alternatives because his cost is quite low.
There is none, so far there is no situation that he would be leaving, not because Inter and Lukaku became a great duo or something but because there aren't any teams willing to spend a lot of money for him, and Inter do not want to part ways for free after spending money on basically his recovery.

I guess he is going to stay there for at least another season and provide some goals and show that he still "has" that talent, after that maybe they can find a buyer for him to leave with some good amount. Inter also lost Dzeko this summer as well which means that it is going to be a bit of a tough situation as well. I am not saying it will be easy or anything like that, but he could definitely be a good thing for Lukaku since he will be one of the main strikers for sure.

De Gea's contract with Man United has officially ended. And currently, de Gea is a free agent. Yes, Man United did not renew the MU goalkeeper's contract for several reasons. However, because he is currently a free agent, Man United can actually re-sign a contract with him. But I don't think this will be done by them. Moreover, they are currently eyeing several good and quite young goalkeepers like CostaCosta,  David Raya and others
They are looking for a replacement after the departure of De Gea. I think it would be nice if Manchester United took a more harmonious approach with de Gea so that he would sign a new contract at the same time Manchester United also brought in another goalkeeper. Many regret that De Gea left Manchester United because he is the most qualified goalkeeper after Edwin van der Sar. However, this month de Gea status is no longer a Manchester United player because he is already a free transfer player. I think he will get a lot of offers from European league teams be it from the EPL or teams outside the EPL. Indeed Andre Onana is the best goalkeeper Inter Milan has and Manchester United plan to bring him in might be more appropriate if they fail to convince De Gea to return to Manchester United.
It is such a sad thing to see. This dude played 545 games for United, maybe some more with friendlies or something, and been there for 12 years and gave his all, and they didn't even resigned his contract. His PR team and agent even worked towards making it known that he wasn't looking for much, he just wanted to stay and not change his life or anything, and yet he wasn't really accepted, they obviously didn't want to continue with him.

That's a bit of disloyalty but it is business so I can't say much, players do not resign and leave their team for free as well, we call that business too. At least he is still 32 years old so he is very young for a goalkeeper, he can play at least another 5 seasons with another team, I would guess that he can find a good spot, maybe a lot of money if he goes to Saudi Arabia as well?

I guess that a "good" country has a government that provides more to its citizens than it takes from them. But unfortunately, this is not the case in many countries... I think we can say that even in some good countries situation now looks a lot different than before with so many immigrants from all countries. This is an interesting article: https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/11/17/even-sweden-doesnt-want-migrants-anymore-syria-iraq-belarus/

But we can't forget that even many of those "good" and developed countries made their economy by exploiting everything and anything, mostly in the third world countries and people who live there... they still do it. So this kind of economy we have now (and for centuries) should end... I am optimistic about that end! Simply if we wish to see a better world (not just some countries and cities with "privileges") for all the people (not just for the "elite") we need to see some big changes. And that will happen eventually, I can only hope that I will be alive to see that.
It's understandable that nations started to say no to immigrants because when you start accepting just a few, then thousands and thousands will follow them. It all started with getting educated and needed people, you can't cover all the positions at some jobs, so you hire people from other nations who are willing to relocate, and that was a good idea because it allowed the nation to have people in all jobs that are needed, could be high end job, could be low end job, but it was needed.

After that, we ended up seeing tens of thousands migrating due to wars, Arab spring in 2011 started that, and in the last decade or so more people relocated than many decades before. Now we have tens of millions of middle easterners living in western nations because of that.

Mount is a decent player but I really don't see how he fits in their team. They need central midfielders, they have way too many players that play attacking midfield or on the flanks.

I'm glad that Liverpool dodged the bullet here - because the same thing applies to us as well. Mount is good, but where would he play?

I really like that we're closing in on a deal for Szoboszlai though. That guy can be a top class player, and 60 mil euros sounds like a fair price.
I am guessing that it was more like a quick move so that United fans wouldn't get mad. I mean between the take over deal and all the other things that's going on right now, United fans are getting incredibly pissed and that is hurting the bottom line of United as well. That means if the team gets worse, Glazers can't sell the team for this much, they are already rejecting the offers they are getting at this moment, can you imagine if it got even lower? That would be a nightmare for them.

So in the very end, I believe that the best thing to do right now for them is to get some players no matter what, it would cost them a bit but at least they would be able to show the fans that they are doing something for the team and that's an important thing.
