1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 25, 2023, 06:22:03 PM
Every big team experience such games in which they lose points despite dominating it with their game.

It was the same scenario for Bayern Munich against Koln. Koln were able to go for only two goal attempts but still one of them ended up with a goal. They resisted incredibly well despite Bayern Munich's trying everything they could. The captain Kimmich still became his team's savior in the 90th minute but Koln still got what they wanted. This kind of point losses are nice to see for Bayern Munich in my opinion because these are keeping the championship race alive for teams like Leipzig for example.
Indeed, if the league is controlled by one team and is far away from other teams it is very annoying and there is no competitive friction that makes the league interesting to watch, the Bayern Munich match against Koln is of course everyone's prediction that the match should be won by Bayern in this match. , especially those who have bet on Bayern in the match, of course they are shocked by the results of the match.
Regardless of whether this is a scenario or not, I think it is appropriate for Koln to play in a draw in that match, on the other hand Leipzig scored a 6-1 goal against Schalke and were in second place in the standings before Eintracht Frankfurt vs Freiburg and Union Berlin vs Bremen which are in 3-5 standings with 30 points.
I do understand that it could become a bit boring when one team rules over everyone, but that team managed to do something that was good and sustainable and allowed them to be as good as possible in bundesliga.

It requires some finance to keep a club running at a high level, and the more money they got the more they invested into long term future of the club instead of just getting results right away, which resulted with them having financial freedom to build a team that can be sustainable, which they achieved 10+ years ago and ever since those days they managed to be the only team at the top. This isn't some hidden secret, other teams are welcome to try it as well.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me about the coin portfolio. on: January 25, 2023, 04:31:30 PM
I usually invest 70-80% of my assets in Ethereum.
This is a one way of beginner's mistake and this may be the right time for converting your ethereum or altcoin investments into bitcoin. Instead of doing with ethereum or any other altcoins, you should do for the same 70-80% with bitcoin for securing your future. If you are a short term player which is the reason why you are dealing with ethereum, in my opinion, you are again making another blunder mistake. Realize about the true potential of long term planning with bitcoin and plan up for conversion as soon as possible.

My altcoins consist of coins in the top 100 list, and waiting for altcoin season to come back so I can sell them at peak prices.
Unfortunately all the coins in top 100, not scaling its peak at a time. It means we need to cash out whenever one coin gets into profit zone. I am also holding lots of altcoins to sell off at break even points as I have lost faith on them to make me rich.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 24, 2023, 09:50:21 PM
Like other great players from the past which still mentioned even today for sure lebron's name will be called out due to the legacy he left once he officially retires. Maybe for now he's not thinking that since provably his target is to surpass Kareem's record and be the top 1 on all time scoring title. For sure fans would miss how Lebron play since it will take more years to discover the same like talent or close to on the league.
His goal was always playing with his son Bronny, he will play one year with his son and then he will retire, not because of 40k points or anything because that will be this year. Basically there is 2 more years of Lebron after this season, this year will be Bronny's senior year in high school, and next year will be Bronny at college freshman, so 2 more seasons like that, then Bronny will be drafted and we will see Lebron and Bronny play together, so it's three years not just two, but we could see two more years at Lakers because we won't know who will draft Bronny just yet.

After that, Lebron will probably be free agent, and whoever drafts Bronny will get Lebron as package, and for cheap too, and we will see them play together and then Lebron will retire, that's going to be a sweet season for sure, a farewell tour basically for him.
1424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 24, 2023, 09:06:43 PM
Now bitcoin has started to increase again to $ 23k and there is a possibility that the price will continue to increase after yesterday's correction. Yesterday's correction turned out to be a small correction that had too much effect on the bitcoin price so that the price did not fall too deep and could experience another increase today. I feel that the next barrier for bitcoin price is at $25k.
Barely holding $23k, but I do agree that it's nice to see that price after a long time. But we need to hold and sustain this price, because from the looks of it, doesn't yet that sustainable. And if I'm not mistaken, we hit $23,500 before the correction. So we need to see that price again, if ever we can reach that in the next 5 days or at the end of this month.
Holding and sustaining the price is only possible if everyone in the market trusts what's going on. There are too many people who think that bitcoin is not where it should be and they are afraid that it will go down, too many people are worried that we are going to crash even harder and there could be even a lower bottom after this.

If we keep fearing upside, then we will go lower, however if we get hyped about the current situation then we could be going even higher and that will be much better, it would allow everyone to work towards making bitcoin price higher. For this to happen we need to keep buying and keep saying good things about the current situation in every possible place.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 23, 2023, 08:51:29 PM
The prize tag on every players signed by Chelsea is so ridiculous. How on earth will Chelsea pay the sum of 106m just for Enzo Fernandez? I believe clubs are doing this probe to Chelsea's current situation. Enzo is leaving a lower league to play the most competitive/difficult league in football, and I doubt if he will play up to the expectations. Chelsea should have a careful thought on these transfer terms, £106m is so much for a young guy who just began making a name in football.
It is 100% just a situation where Chelsea overpays for one player, then the other player is asked the same, if you pay someone who is worth 20 million and you pay 50 million for him, then when a player worth 50 million is suddenly asked for 100 million is not a surprised.

Every team expects Chelsea to overpay right now to recover the terrible season they are going through. In any case, if they still luck at the end of the season, the whole management should change, not just manager, but all of front office too. Owner did what he should, he spent money like he should and that's all he is responsible for, it's the management that sucked and got the terrible players.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 23, 2023, 07:49:04 PM
I don't think we can judge Real Madrid just by its poor performance this season, because last season when Real Madrid won the Champions League was also the reality that Real Madrid was not having a very good performance. Not only that, even when Real Madrid played and then the available odds never put Real Madrid as the favorite team to win.
So, whatever performance Real Madrid is currently experiencing, they will still have the chance to go further and even win the title. But regarding Manchester City, I personally am still not completely sure because even though Manchester City has a very good squad, but they often find it difficult to win.
I think it's clear that people should never underestimate Real Madrid during any UCL at all. I am not saying they will win it this year again, I think City will probably win this one, they are looking like an unstoppable force right now and only problem they have is Arsenal having one of the best seasons they ever had, and that's why it looks a bit hard on premier league but they could even win that if Arsenal loses a few times.

I think UCL is still very important for Real Madrid because they are famous for being a continental team. Hell, it was their president that wanted to build the super league, which I think is not a bad idea but a bad one just for the league, I think UCL should turn into a super league which it is going towards that route.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is FTX going for a reopen? on: January 23, 2023, 06:55:00 PM
A brand is highly tied to trust, respect, and credibility. Is there anything left about those aspects when people hear the name of FTX? I doubt there is any even for a minuscule amount.

I believe rebranding won't even solve it. The news about the reopening is merely sensational bait about FTX, the media loves it, as does the public who gets "triggered". We should note that the main thing we should take from what the article conveys is that mainly the reopening goal is simply to repatriate the funds, which what it is all about is beyond my understanding that the process of Chapter 11 bankruptcy is required to go through that path.
I think the three qualities that you said there are all the same and it still points about being fair and not a scam. We all know what happened to FTX. The exchange collapse due to miss handling of funds. Although this seems different from being a scam, but still it's a turn off since many people have affected about it. They are investors on that company obviously and as well as who only invest in normal cryptos are seeing a decline on their portfolio.

If FTX reopened it can cause a mixed feelings or feedbacks which are both positive and negative. Positive because as you said, people hope that their money will be returned and negative because a second collapse can happen again.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana blockchain on: January 22, 2023, 08:33:39 PM
Of course, there are many factors that negatively affected Solana, including the actions of SBF, which actively acted on pumping and dumping some tokens, including Solana, which Alameda used as collateral for loans, such even began to be called "Samcoins". But be that as it may, Solana continues its development as a blockchain and, for example, fulfills its promise to release a Saga smartphone for which it has officially opened a pre-order in 33 countries.

Archive of an article in the New York Times about how SBF used FTX to pump some tokens: https://archive.is/T3XkX
I don't think Solana is that centralized to be pumped and dumped easily. SBF is only one of it's supporters but we should also consider the thousands of people who invest in the same project. However the collapse of FTX have affected the entire crypto market and not just Solana. After it I think Solana also faced some problems which worsen their price evenly.

Alameda have the rights to use Solana as their collateral whenever they take a loan because it was their own possession. They pay for the coin to be able to acquire it. It's nice to know that despite of the hardships Solana is facing now, they still have the passion to pursue their project.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 22, 2023, 08:08:21 PM
There are a few matches that I think are worth watching this week because apart from Monaco against Marseille there are other matches like Lorient against Rennes and Nice will host Lille.
I think these 3 matches will be quite tight. but for Marseille I think I already feel they have won even though Monaco have been quite strong this season as well.
I think that the match between merseille against monaco will be the most interesting match compared with rennes vs lorient and nice vs lilla. Marseilel has been placing in the top 3 which was under Lens while monaco was under Marseille. Marseille will able to surpass lens if it will able to win against monaco. Lens itself will be facing a weak team. I expect lens to get full points and there will be no change in the position of french league. I have picked Marseille. Bookies were giving 2.25 for Marseille which is a very good odd for me.
Marseille has more than 60% probability to win the game against monaco.
I would agree with that too. This week looks like a good time to bet, it's definitely one of those weeks that made some good money and I think it will go on like that. I am not entirely sure if I will get them right again, but ligue 1 has been looking a bit more top heavy these days and for the past 5 years or so the top teams changed too much, and this time around the teams that are not PSG ended up being a little bit better and that is the reason why it's easier to wager on the games.

For some reason or another before this season there were like 10-12 teams that could beat each other, and that wasn't really good, but this year there are like 3-4 teams that could beat everyone else and that's great.
1430  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 22, 2023, 07:02:33 PM
I am strongly in favour of desktop applications or even web based, as I think that phones are usually to small and I do not really trust much the apps, but there seems to be many people who would rather use their phone. Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer? It may also be a regional issue, the same as people that do not use a browser?
I consider the ambiance of using a desktop suitable if I'm gambling as I've preferred not to move the screen left and right or up and down as it only distracts me. The wide view helps to clearly see what happened. However, we can find the advantage of using the phone for gambling as you can carry them wherever you are.
But anyways, it all depends on us as gamblers. We choose what we think is comfortable for us.
If it's about the ambiance, I think this will depend on the gambling site that we are using and not about devices. Some gambling site is just poorly built. There are some who only look nice on a large screen so pc/laptop will win here. There are some who look okay in desktop view but looks pretty sharp on mobile because they have a mobile application. I am not a fan of installing app on my phone.

I think the reason is because my phone isn't a high end one so I am afraid that it will lag and will affect the other apps that I primarily use, so I don't care even if the gambling site has a decent mobile app but I will still visit the gambling site in either my mobile browser or on my laptop.
1431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 22, 2023, 09:35:41 AM
Newbies can't figure out what really happens in the past few years and I understand them but I think it is also important for them to know about it. Perhaps, it was their obligation to search back and understand why old investors are encouraging them to hold. It is important to educate ourselves and don't just remain as newbies, we have to enhance our knowledge as well even though we are new in the crypto market. Otherwise, we never go far and remain ignorant of what happened before.
That's fine, they will live and learn. I mean I didn't understand what was going on in 2014 and 2015 period neither. I thought that in 2014 we were going up so high that it was always a shock the more it went up, and I didn't think that it would ever go higher and it still went up, it was insane period because it was the first time I saw it rising like that. Imagine seeing it at 30-40 dollars and then one day it was like 1400 dollars, that was insane.

Also following that it crashed to 150 dollars or so, did not see that as a thing neither, didn't know if it was dying or not. After that 2017 was a bit more expected, still higher than I expected, from 700 low on 2017 to 20k high, that was a lot, but it was expected to go up at least. So in 2021, it was just boring good old increase that I always knew that would happen.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 21, 2023, 08:56:41 PM
Please even with Haaland at the club they still won't have been the favorite. Haaland with all the talents at Manchester city that he has at his service can't still perform against Chelsea. I'm not talking about the team entirely but just the individual performance by Haaland. For Manchester city to even destroy us they had to bench Haaland. A typical number 9 is easier to defend against then a false 9. Last year tournament Chelsea were right there up to the round of 16 but we're eliminated by the team that went on to win the tournament which we still defeated at the second leg.

Chelsea are definitely a force at the champions League level, we have been making name for ourselves recently and that have earn up two trophies. It mightn't be much in numbers but when it comes to the champion league, that's definitely a big flex. What has Dortmund gotten, they're a small club and one who Chelsea doesn't have to stress themselves against to win them.
I think that Dortmund would have been definitely making them the favourites on this game. In fact, I do see them as equals right now even without Haaland so with Haaland I would say 1.70 odds on Dortmund type of deal. Why do I see Dortmund to have any chances? Because Chelsea has sucked recently and they have been playing terrible football, even when Dortmund is not good, Chelsea is even worse.

I think Chelsea has a chance to win, and they are "slight" favourites in this game but at the end of the day the difference between the clubs is smaller than the difference Haaland could make, if he was still there then he would have taken Dortmund to a win.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 21, 2023, 08:26:51 PM
ChatGPT is all the rage at the moment. I’ve seen that people are asking it to predict sporting events. Would you leave gambling decisions up to artificial intelligence? Do you see any potential drawbacks for outsourcing your bets to a software program? Has anyone here tried this yet? Do we need someone to put together a thread of ChatGPT predictions to see how accurate they are?  Any other thoughts?
There are companies out there who specialise in this sort of thing, but unless the ai has up to the minute inputs of news (like the top striker in a football team got injured the day before the match) then it'd not going to be especially effective. It is only as useful as the data it's been fed. Otherwise you might as well just gather statistics and come to more up to date conclusions based on relevant data.
I agree that the data that you feed it will be the only thing that it will base the whole thing on, but the reality is that we are not going to see any AI that could put the "human" part of the football or basketball or any sports into the calculation. Why do you think that all those unexpected things happen in sports?

I have been giving the same response for a whole year, and I am going to say that again, Real lost to Sheriff and won the UCL last year, no AI in the world could ever calculate that. This is why it's going to be impossible to calculate these things. That's just me, maybe it would lose a bit but win a lot more and that's going to make people some profit.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: January 21, 2023, 05:34:52 PM
When projects promise too high rewards there are only two possible outcomes: scam or priceless tokens which you won't be able to sell even for 1 satoshi each. Developers doing this are only looking for greedy investors, as they know high rewards will attract them. It's the same method used by scammers who run hyips. Unfortunatelly that is not the kind of thing which is going to disappear from the crypto industry or from the internet, because there are many people looking for such investments yet, and since crypto is an anonymous and decentralized environment, it's also a fertile field for such schemes to take place.
Developers are looking to make money for themselves first, and not to make their projects a success, that's the issue and I think it will continue to be like this for a long time considering how unbelievably difficult it is to continue down that path. I know that it is not going to be too simple to go on, we are talking about something like a wave here where scammers keep creating new projects to make money from newbie investors by promising a lot.

But, eventually something will be figured out to prevent this, like pinksale requires badges, similar to that, and people will want to see how legit a project is from that thing and invest accordingly which would make scamming harder.
1435  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: January 21, 2023, 04:46:05 PM
There are several views from people about bitcoin, trust before starting accompanied by knowledge about the journey of bitcoin, early 2017 I started trying to learn about bitcoin in terms of investment, because at that time many of my friends started investing. Unknowingly this influenced my subconscious psychology to try, and it really got me hooked to collect bitcoins gradually, precisely when bitcoin reached ATH in 2021, this incident hit me psychologically because I didn't try to buy bigger when the bitcoin price has not reached ATH.

To this day bitcoin is known as the best investment asset in the long term, many understandings that previously did not trust bitcoin, instead these people have been in the current investment model and around me more and more people are trying to learn about it, although there are also those who refuse truth about bitcoin.
That is true that 2017 was a good period, too many people got in and that's when it started to go up because all of you got in. People who are not aware of the fact that bitcoin is by far the best thing ever, are the people who have absolutely no idea about how awesome bitcoin is in real life.

I mean I have to say that it's going to be something special when the day comes, as high as 100k or 200k or even more. In order to profit from that, we need to keep on buying more and that's going to take a while, so we should all keep buying more no matter what the price is. I will keep buying now, and I would buy if it was 100k too, I just buy no matter what I do.
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 20, 2023, 09:03:35 PM
There's also no guarantee that Napoli can be consistent until the end of the season, the competition is still very long and there are lots of matches remaining that allow anything to happen, I don't think that Napoli will still be as it is until the end of the season, there are many possibilities if their performance will decrease.
I think there are several teams who have the same chance to win the Scudetto, not only Inter Milan but Juventus also have the same chance.

and the important wins that Inter Milan have won in their last few matches have made it possible for them to improve their mentality which will have a positive impact on the results they will get for the next matches, that's why I say there are many possibilities and advantages for Inter Milan to be consistent seize positive outcomes that will benefit them.
Maybe it is a difficult thing for Napoli to be as good as they have been so far, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I agree that there is a possibility of them not being as good as they have been, and that is a normal thing because they have been unrealistically good, like Milan is playing at a level of a champion so far, if you look historically, Milan has been good enough to be a champion, and Napoli is even beyond that right now.

So, it would make sense for them to come down there a bit. But, just because they may not be as good as they have been, doesn't mean that they can't be good enough to win a title neither, I think that could happen.
1437  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 20, 2023, 01:09:30 PM
The people are very conscious on how they spend their money and I would like to be precise about the type of rich people that i mean. We have the materials inclined rich people that are only after buying expensive wears and jewelries to impress the public about how rich they are. That is not my point of view because the kind of rich people that I mean are those that are investors in nature.

People like Elon Must, Mark Zuckerberg etc are the type of people that don't spend money to buy expensive wears to press people buy use there money to create more businesses that would yeild them more money.

This is the kind of rich people we'll have to look to and learn from them how to create a better businesses that will make us successful in our endeavours.
I don't care how people spend their money, they could very well have a luxury jewellery set that could build a whole factory instead, and I would be ok with that too. What I really care about is their income, if you make 1 million dollars a year, and you can live comfortably and do not have any financial issues, then go ahead and do whatever you want with that money.

Not everyone has to become a billionaire, if you have like 200-300 million dollars in the bank, you do not need to have 200 billion valuation at all. These are just examples, you might as well be someone with 10k dollars a year income in my nation, and not want more and only focus on living a good life. It's all about income, as long as your income can support you, then do whatever you want.
1438  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: January 20, 2023, 12:15:32 PM
I was going to agree with you but then read rat03gopoh's comment — after all even your ownership of property is just your name written on paper, just like your holding of shares.

Although, changing of ownership is dependent on medium — house ownership, share market, crypto. Crypto being easiest of them all to lose ownership, in case key/mnemonic is known by someone else.
Well, "it's written on a paper" but at the same time it's hard to find someone selling your house and getting the money for it, without actually owning your house right? The paper you get saying you own that house is not there to prove that you own that house, it's there to make sure nobody else could prove it's their house, you basically block everyone else from doing it, not to just do it yourself.

I would say that scammers on crypto world are much worse, they could do all kinds of fake stuff, I once saw someone trying to sell test net money as mainnet one, 300 BNB on testnet, as the real one, and get the money, things are much wilder here for sure, and that's why some think it's riskier.
1439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 20, 2023, 09:46:22 AM
This is the type of thing where you do not really have to take for example and run with it. I mean I am not saying wager all your money in a single bet if it is 1.01, obviously avoid that if you could because it would be a bad idea if you did that.

However, if you are gambling, there are also people who won 5000x as well and I am not seeing anyone who spends 1.4 million dollars on those bets neither. It means that if you ever to gamble 1.4 million dollars on anything, then a lower odd thing is a lot better than low chance to win. I rather wager 1.4 million on a 1.008 bet than a 2.20 or whatever bet, it makes a lot more sense that way, and this example is just very rare.
1440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 20, 2023, 06:34:03 AM
There are reports that Atlético Madrid are close to signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona in a deal worth around £3m. A mixture of injuries and form concerns have ruined his 2022-23 season so far. So instead of sitting on the bench, I think it’s a good move for him because he has struggled this season, making just four appearances and scoring one goal across 206 total minutes.
that's a very small amount of money. Barcelona was selling him in a big loss again after he bought from MU during the van gaal era. It seems depay was very tired of waiting for regular time to play caused by xavi didn't wanna try to waste an opportunity by not letting Lewandowski play. he has made a good decision if depay was really moving to the Atletico Madrid. Barcelona may be interested in such offer considering Barcelona was always selling its players in big loses like that. I hope that depay will be happy to play in the new team with new teammates too. He shall not waste more time in Barcelona.
I think it's a bit more about them not wanting to pay his salary and get some financial relief out of this than anything else. I am not saying that he worths 3 million now after he couldn't provide anything for them, even on his worst situation he still worths a lot more than this, but that 3 million minus his salary worths a lot for Barcelona right now. That means they could get another player if they want to during this transfer window, and if not then they could have a good chance when the summer transfer window comes along.

It requires only a small amount to leave, to make a much bigger debt because you get the money today, but get the debt for later, hence why it works like that.
