2901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 05, 2020, 08:29:51 AM
do you registerhow much you separate for gambling?
do you see it as an investment?
I understand that you are questioning about how much money people here are allocating for gambling purposes and spending money for gambling is an investment for a fee for entertainment? I never have a budget for gambling anymore as I have already lost big money in gambling. From my own experience, gambling should not be considered as an investment opportunity hence expecting a return for the money you gamble with, will definitely lead further big losses as you may start chasing your losses if you consider entire gambling as an income stream.

if yes, how do you track it?
simples spreadsheets, physical notebooks or maybe some different way?
When I was an intensive gambler I do track my all gambling activities with a spreadsheet. Because, I gambled at least 5 different gambling houses at a time with different strategies; to keep track of my bankroll and strategies, I needed some references and from that I developed the habit of tracking them with a sheet.

But, I suggest everyone NOT to go in gambling into a level where you need a spreadsheet to keep your records. Just gamble with your least affordable money and then forget it regardless of you make profits or not. Again start as a new gambler with fresh mindset yet with least money and enjoy your gambling and leave it for some time and then repeat!
2902  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: April 04, 2020, 09:01:28 PM
There is couple of stuff wrong with that link though. First of all is it just me or do you only see from 18th of march to today, I can't see anything before that, I would love to see some sort of chart that is basically exactly the same but from all of 2020 which we could analyze a lot better to see if lockdown had any affects or not. Secondly this is a second hand place, its not directly from bustabit and I am not 100% trusting a third party with the numbers devans could provide.

I still think we should wait for devans to provide some sort of chart himself, that would be a lot better and further back and more trustworthy. However, it is not something he has to share neither, he doesn't have to do it and that is something I can totally understand if he doesn't.
2903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: April 04, 2020, 07:49:47 PM
Esports definitely got a huge spike during this period, they have been the unloved child of sportsbooks and really not get as much as the regular sports while betting but during this period they have gotten a lot more attention and they have been getting a lot more wagering going on in esports.

Lottery is definitely wouldn't be in my list, it is still as slow and close to impossible as ever, there must be some lottery increase but doubt it is as big as people imagine, I would instead put poker in there, a lot of places are now doing online poker tournaments which is getting a lot more attention if you ask me. And of course the biggest one is casino games like dice, they are definitely getting more and more people these days and that is obvious from the results.
2904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 04, 2020, 05:59:29 PM
Honestly, it all depends on how low he is willing to go now as well and not "if" he can play in europe. Dude is a good player but he was a huge wage that was not needed and if he moved to another team he would have to get a lower salary and he didn't wanted that. Now he played somewhere he doesn't want to just for money, he might have realized that money you are making right now is important but if you are willing to give up on today and make some more in the future that is sometimes worth more.

If he agrees on playing in some lower European clubs for a season or so and show his talents and how he is still good, he can still make a comeback. Ibrahimovic still played at age 38 so he still has a lot of time to comeback and still play at a decent club if he shows he is still good.

If I was him, I would wait until next season since leagues are not going on right now, pick an Italian team that is low on the rankings, play there for a season, if he is good as he thinks he is, he will be picked up by a better team following season.
2905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly does a good project needs. on: April 04, 2020, 12:56:28 PM
Innovation is very very important, you are building a project in the lands of projects, there are probably close to 5k coins/tokens right now in the world, thousands of them didn't day of light and they are all gone, probably around 3k of them are still around somewhere in the world and around 1000 of them actually gets listed somewhere right now.

It means you have a HUGE competition and in order to stand out somehow you need to innovate, you need to do something that will actually change the world or at least make a huge impact on the crypto world. You may think the innovation and the idea you have is enough, but I can promise you that it is not really enough, you have to do even more and more so that you can show the world that you are "the one" otherwise people will just overlook you.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It doesn't look like binance taking over coinmarketcap on: April 04, 2020, 10:37:14 AM
I guess 400 million dollars was a lot of money to begin with, maybe they will pay a lot less and just partner up, that way binance wouldn't have to pay too much for the whole company, keep most of the money themselves, and work with CMC to improve their AI and help them realize what the real volume is and what the fake volume is, they probably have access to such product already so it would be easy to implement anyway.

New CEO wasn't really all that much needed, after all the current CEO is the one who brought everything to this point, love him or hate him dude was the reason why CMC was getting interest from all over the world and why Binance is getting any interest in them as well. Hopefully the new CEO will be even better otherwise it will be seen as a horrible decision.

2908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on DEX's - What's your experience? on: April 02, 2020, 07:25:36 PM
I have only traded on binance dex once and it felt nothing like dex, it felt like a regular exchange, if I didn't know the difference and didn't know it was dex, I could swear it was a regular exchange like any other. I suppose when people get used to it, it is not really all that different, you could simply just act as if it is centralized if you really want to trade there or you can feel like dex is giving you more power.

However I do not even believe that binance has a true dex, theirs is basically a dex until they decide it is not and that is not something I would want to give power to anyone, a dex based on a chain that is risky is never the solution a true dex should be on ethereum because its big enough to not get under control of one person.
2909  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: April 01, 2020, 05:57:34 PM
Yeah, I haven't joined any so far as well because the start time of the tourney is quite late for me, even if I join it by that time and stay awake, the ending would mean I would play basically around morning, well early morning maybe I don't know, or very late night, basically not hours that I would really like to play. Maybe we could ask steve to have tourneys 12 hours apart? That way we could have two tourneys that we can actually join, one would be perfect for everyone no matter where you live and what time zone you are in because there is 12 hour difference, if one is not alright the other one will definitely be alright.

Also, I hope that you guys make the poker a bit like a different tab instead of making it a screen inside a screen type of thing it is right now.
2910  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin halving, whales manipulations and its 2020 price valuation on: March 29, 2020, 07:24:47 PM
Whales do not have a manipulation at this stage during the sell time. I mean they had nothing to do with the stock market neither. The world is just in a big ball of fire right now that we are going to end of times, maybe it is not as severe as that but many people think of it like that. I have literally read a news story about a guy who went to his nuke attack bunker type of place with all the things he needs and plans on not going out until all of this is over. A BUNKER, he is that much scared.

Now, when there are people who are actually that much scared from something like this, you can't really expect people to suddenly see this as a normal thing. It means it will take some time to recover and that has nothing to do with whales, it is just human emotions.
2911  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think? on: March 28, 2020, 07:16:43 PM
I doubt that corona will be "resolved" all that easily, humanity will just adjust to it and starts living with it, you think swine flu or bird flu or influenza or whatever else just gone away totally? They no longer exists? They are still around, they still kill many people as well, we just started to learn how to live with it and it doesn't kill as much as it used to because we have medicine against them.

So, what will happen is we will find a cure, we will fix many of the sick, there won't be many that are sick and out there anymore, anyone who gets it will go to doctors and get better, and that way people would be allowed to go outside because even if you get infected you will be cured so there is no problem anymore. That is not something we do overnight.

2913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lightning Network - Thoughts? on: March 27, 2020, 01:55:04 PM
Think about it, exchanges make a killing from the withdrawal fees, they are using segwit and lets say they pay 300 satoshi for 5 transactions in a single move from one wallet, they collect 500 satoshi from each of them making a 2200 satoshi profit.

Now you may say 2200 satoshi is nothing but that is just one transaction, think about how many withdrawals happens in the big places, these dudes literally make thousands of dollars per day from the excess withdrawal money they ask from people.

So, if the whole world changes to LN, that would mean the end of all those profits for exchanges, well when exchanges do not accept deposits from LN and they do not withdraw to LN that means the whole world has to accept the fact that they will not use LN at all. Only possible way would be some exchanges start accepting LN as an option to get more users and be competitive, which will result with others following because they are losing users to their competition.
2914  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: March 26, 2020, 04:50:57 PM
--snip

Unfortunately our odds provider is not very good with esports, however we are definitely looking at expanding our esports offerings.
Well, that is all you may do for us during this hard times, please just try your best. I do not understand any provider who is not looking into esports nowadays, I mean I get it, regular sports is still getting a ton of more money wagered on them (well not now, they are postponed, but in general) and esports is nowhere near that amount. However, don't they think that esports is literally getting bigger and bigger? Some cs:go skin websites making gambling available for knife trading is getting more attention than all of esportsbook companies combined, why? Because, it is actually making it for the gamers themselves.

There is money to be made right there, but providers do not take it, because lets face it they do not really understand gaming at all, they think its childish and let millions of dollars of income go. Makes no sense to me but I do believe stake must be doing their best.
2915  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: March 25, 2020, 07:32:35 PM
During this period where every sports are basically getting postponed, please take a look at esports a bit in more details because there are a lot more new stuff coming up constantly, even players are playing each other type of stuff, there should be some dedicated employee who checks where can you guys find some new esports to bet on and you could potentially just allow us to gamble on that, I have literally seen just 3 races recently that you guys passed on and wasn't available.

It would be great to increase esports gambling options during these self isolation times.
2916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos that allow bch and ltc and eth investments? on: March 25, 2020, 05:48:04 PM
Plenty of casinos started to accept ETH as an investment, however not so many do it for ltc or bch. First of all you have to realize that BCH is not liked by many people, there is a devoted number of people around it and I get that, those people are what keeps it alive, plus it is not really listed so many places and doesn't have all that liquidity so it is easier for Jihan Wu and Roger to keep it up in the ranks, but at the same time it is still not liked by the olds of the crypto world.

But, LTC is just not ranked all that well to be an investment everywhere, it is in some places but it is not great to be in everywhere. Which leaves us with ethereum, any place that takes only bitcoin takes only bitcoin, any place that looks for a second one actually uses ethereum as the second one.
2917  Economy / Economics / Re: US Bail Outs in 2008 Were Loans. Not Grants. People Actually Made Money! on: March 25, 2020, 03:09:53 PM
Lol, you do realize that when you give that little loan and make that little amount of money, you are in the end losing money actually because of inflation right? Or you could have invested into something else and make even more money.

Even spending that much money into education, healthcare, infrastructure and other vital stuff in the world you could have over long term make more money from people you educate well enough to go into work force and make money for the nation, for people who would normally work and help the economy with their taxes but can't because of their health issue or going bankrupt, people who wants to go to work or school but because of bad infrastructure they can't and far away.

Basically that "loan" that government "made money" could have been made anywhere if they wanted, but they picked bankers. Nobody should forget that banks actually gave themselves HUGE bonuses after the 2008 bail out, that's where your money went, for the CEO to buy a super yacht.
2918  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: March 25, 2020, 01:58:39 PM
How do you decide if something is store of value or not? I mean do you look at it during bad times only? Do you look at it over time only? What makes something just a store of value thing? Look at gold for example, it literally dropped during this period and it is widely regarded as the most store of value thing in the world.

People literally buy grams of gold all around the world for store of value and in case anything goes bad, that's GLOBAL, we are talking about trillions of dollars. So, if you think bitcoin is not a store of value because of the drop we had this month, do you also think that gold is not one as well? I doubt anyone could say that. In all regards bitcoin IS a store of value, just not all the time and also not as commonly known as gold, that's it.
2919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone made money by investing in crowdfunded startups? on: March 24, 2020, 07:10:27 PM
I honestly invested into a startup that was working to get a "esports media" type of thing, basically it was a digital agency but their customers was mainly companies that wants to address to esports world and also basically help out the gaming companies as well to place themselves in there too.

It wasn't much, it was a small amount but they were starting very early, now they are doing online tournaments because of corona and I realized that no matter what you invest into esports you will lose it because esports is basically just profitable for the gamers that go into it and maybe not even for them as well when you consider they will retire before 30 and then won't have anything to do after 30 if they do not stuck around in the scene. So it wasn't a successful.
