The idea of local private currency is not a new concept, see the Bristol Pound or the Utah Goldback note. However, that wooden scrip thing is completely vulnerable to counterfeit.

Damn those nanny-state drivers' licenses. Am I being forced to be responsible for other people's safety? If people don't want to share the road with unlicensed drivers, they should stay home. I work hard at being a safe driver. I resent the deep state questioning my ability to drive safely. No worries there Jimbo...once self-driving AI is proven by the state to be safer than human drivers, the nanny state will get rid of driver's licenses entirely and no one will be allowed to drive themselves anymore. OMG What will the insurance companies do? Oh I'm pretty certain that the human owners will still have to pay the insurance and be liable if their self-driving cars run over someone.

Ugh, these algorithmic trading patterns are so exhausting and predictable. Prepare for the "grind it down to just above $11k, spike down hard below $11k, raise it back to $10,990 and goes sideways there for a while...then short squeeze hard bart" pattern.

Germany taking a step backwards. Don't they know that the Honey badger will not be defeated.
Germany has been cucked by leftists beyond any rational measure. As far as I'm concerned, they are well on their way towards becoming a failed state within the next decade, at their current rate of decline. Very sad to see Germany falling prey to the pitfalls of modern social justice initiatives. I sincerely hope they lose Merkel, and regain a sense of national pride. Thanks, Soros. Your post is complete rubbish. Germany has been ruled by the conservative CDU for decades. The moderate left SPD is in decade long decline, only a shadow of its former strength and soon in oblivion. Their historic mistake was to switch to neo-liberal policy (as did Labour in GB). The SPD was strong in the 70ies, that is long ago. There is a left wing party Die Linke but it also is in decline. The Green Party is went from being left in the 80ies and maybe in the 90ies, but they switched to become conservative/new liberal after that. Many expect a Coalition between the conservatives and the Green Party to rule Germany in the future. Yes, but I think BobLawblaw's point is that Germany's conservative CDU still supports decidedly non-conservative policy views such as large centralized government, increased citizen surveillance, social welfare state, open arms to refugees, and relatively high taxes.

trying to mix this craziness with the additional craziness of picking and timing the "right" shitcoins is craziness squared. with the additional risk of playing here with illiquid scams, criminal pump&dump schemes and the fact that those assets represent nothing but lies and greed and no technical or economic value whatsoever, this is craziness tripled.
in other words, outright stupid. I rather miss all the pumping shitcoins. it's the only way to make sure to also miss the dumping shitcoins.
The proof that shitcoins in general have no value is their fad nature. The hot shitcoin du jour always seems to fade away just a year or two later, to be replaced by a new one (or set). I could list a number of "next big coins" from 2016-2017 era that are near completely forgotten now, even by the shitcoin hype beliebers. Same with shitcoins from the 2011-2013 era, and so on. Meanwhile Bitcoin is a decade+ on, still in its infancy, yet still going strong and gaining in market strength yoy.

TBH, I'm not really impressed with the volume so far. I know this isn't going to be a popular opinion, but it feels as if a single entity (or a small whale group) controls everything in the market float from ~$10,5k to $12k. And it looks as if their mega pump hasn't really attracted other whale traders en masse at this point.
We could have retracement soonish. Prepare to BTFD.
We are still in the beginning phase of a bull run, so no worries there.

Fireworks accident my ass, That was like a small nuke with a mushroom. Check out that blast wave ring. Dude. Very few explosions mankind humankind has yet devised are more brissant than ANFO. Perhaps you're right and it was indeed ammonium nitrate. My point was more that there's a high level of skepticism in 'how it happened and why' rather than what was used. It certainly looks controlled as a single blast. Surely the timing and location of such a critical blow is suspicious. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/bride-groom-survived-beirut-explosion-wedding-day-213432157.htmlThat shockwave blast, sheesh. Feel bad for this couple on their wedding day. Definitely something they'll remember forever.

Wow, now that's one conspiracy theory that even I had trouble stomaching because it's just so incredulous. So on some level Pizzagate is real then?? And on both sides of the aisle, no less.

The ignorant masses see Bitcoin and PMs rising in price and think it's because they are in some kind of speculative bubble.
It's called "real value assets repricing against a plummeting dollar."

No camera footage exists of all his rounds trips with all the guns and ammo. (My understanding is there are also hidden security cameras inside the high-end hotel suites like the one he was in). He had been checked into the hotel for a week, and still zero footage.
Sure there is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCfC7riTfmsYou missed the key part there, see bold. If you think those few measly bags shown in those short video clips represents 22+ heavy rifles and a shitload of heavy ammo, then you clearly don't know anything about weapons. Also with all the video cameras filming his every move in every corner of the building for a solid week, is that all the video we get? Really? Again, the basis of the absurdity lies with 1) bringing 22+ rifles, no one with actual intent to kill would bring that many, 2) not bringing an actual sniper rifle for the range required, and 3) after 64 years of life, no background/history, no records, no motive, no reason.

Be neither conspiracy theorist nor conspiracy denier... i.e. use your brain.
"Not all conspiracy theories are true, but that doesn't mean none of them are." i.e. use your brain. I see we're saying exactly the same thing. Some conspiracy theories are bullshit, but that doesn't mean they all are. i.e. Use your brain. Yes, but I'm also saying Some "official MSM stories told to the public" are bullshit. Not all, but some. Is the public smart enough to know the difference? Or are they really that gullible/susceptible to being gaslighted?

It's surprising how many peeps whom I have considered to be quite intelligent (not only on this forum but also IRL) have fallen for conspiracy theories (COVID-19, 5G, Bill Gates mind control chips etc) With all the conspiracy theorist propaganda out there, it's easy for the weak-minded to be brainwashed. That said, don't be a conspiracy denier either. Of course the examples you listed are laughable but that doesn't mean that what Edward Snowden pointed out is also bullshit. Plandemic and chemtrail mind control may be imaginary but covid and PRISM are very real. Be neither conspiracy theorist nor conspiracy denier... i.e. use your brain. I remember this one time when a sixty-four year old white man just out of the blue decided he wanted to shoot up a bunch of randoms in Las Vegas. So he drove something like 100 miles from his house and went to a high-end Vegas hotel that literally has spy security cameras in every lobby, elevator, hallway, stairway, corridor, street, garage, and back lot. Taking 5-6 separate trips up the elevators from the parking garage, he managed to drag 22+ heavy rifles of different makes and various calibers and a shitload of heavy ammo up to his penthouse suite completely without suspicion or being remembered by any of the hotel staff or other patrons. Because it's more exciting to evade arousing suspicion and being caught the more round trips you can make, and you can never have too many rifles with you if you are a sharpshooter assassin (/s). Of course there is zero recorded camera footage of all these separate trips. Note also that none of the 22 rifles were configured or even appropriate for long range shooting. Then he proceeded to open fire on the crowd of randoms with only 2 of the rifles (that could barely hit the broad side of a barn at 500 yards), and ignoring the 20 other rifles he brought with him because, hey, you can never have too many rifles with you if you are a sharpshooter assassin (/s). I mean, why bring only one AR-15 when you can bring 14? And everyone knows that bump stocks are really accurate, right? (/s) No camera footage exists of all his rounds trips with all the guns and ammo. (My understanding is there are also hidden security cameras inside the high-end hotel suites like the one he was in). He had been checked into the hotel for a week, and still zero footage. No burn marks on the carpet from the hundreds of spent ammo rounds. No day job or career history, no phone or txt msg records, no public ID record, no background, no gun purchase or registration records, no criminal history, no online internet history at all of the shooter for the 64 years of his life. No motive at all for the shooter. To this day, the police have zero motive or leads/evidence as to any sort of planning or motive. Absolutely nothing about the official story adds up. It's fucking absurd. But hey, the public turned off their common sense and dismissed any questioning of all this as a "conspiracy theory". Just believe exactly what the MSM tells you... and they did. "Not all conspiracy theories are true, but that doesn't mean none of them are." i.e. use your brain.

I cannot care less about what his opinion is on masks insofar as it's effect on whether or not I wear one. That is my choice and I own the consequences. On the other hand there is some theories solid proof that masks protect other more than the wearer. In this regard I believe locally based laws and regs are appropriate. And if you are breaking the law by not wearing one I think that too should be something one is ready to face the consequences of.
Masks are mostly about stopping the spread, not about protecting the wearer. It's too bad "laws and regs" are required to prevent reckless endangerment of others. Asymptomatic carriers who've been brainwashed by covid-denial/anti-mask propaganda don't suffer any consequences for the harm they're doing. How about the death sentence if there is sufficient proof that your failure and refusal to wear a mask had caused the death of someone else? Sound good?
A little extreme, perhaps. This isn't cold-blooded premeditated murder in the first degree. It's more a case of manslaughter or even as low as criminal negligence causing death.
It is the result of stupidity, not malice.
Ten or twenty years should suffice. It's also too bad that hundreds of thousands of George Floyd protesters around the globe spent about 1-1/2 to 2 months running around literally in each others faces *without* masks on, potentially (likely) infecting the rest of the population... and hardly anyone in the media said shit about it. The media down-played it and made excuses for it. Because, ya'know, political agendas and all. Shall we go ahead with incarcerating the hundreds of thousands protesters worldwide, or do they all get a pass?
