Many people create their own traps.
Do you believe you can set yourself free?

I was born free, was I not?

Isn't biology a constraint, a prison if you will, as well?
3162  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 3 Numbers Game Free 0.01 BTC on: April 27, 2014, 02:39:03 AM
Please verify the exact format:

1, 2, 3
7 8 9
7-5-2
or
453
Which exact "format" is most likely to win?

How is the format of the post in any way relevant? I would assume you only need to guess the number...  Tongue

Will i still get paid on May 1 if i joined today ?

I also joined under that assumption; provided we can make 50 posts until then, that is. Can someone confirm this is in fact the case?

In for May

Hmm, isn't the post count at the enrollment post needed?
3164  Other / Off-topic / Re: Religion Poll on: April 27, 2014, 01:04:08 AM
i remember giving church a go when i was in my teens.. they told me i was a lamb of god, and my money was his. they passed around baskets asking for donations. i passed. i am grateful i wasn't raised to be religious.

btw, im certain that there's a fairly large group of guys who go to church to find a chick to hook up with.. i admit, it's a great place to meet people and find networking/connections. the only problem is that it is with the kind of people i don't want to associate with.

Why wouldn't you want to associate with people that believe in an invisible man in the sky that is always watching them? People these days are too elitist.  Tongue

Anyway, I don't see Pastafarianism in the poll... what about those that believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster)?

EDIT:

3165  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good MMO games on: April 27, 2014, 12:54:53 AM
I recommend Vindictus. Not really full scale mmo title (world is not open, it is mission based title) but it has one of the greatest combat systems I have seen. Your gear is not that important as your skill and control over your character. It is free to play.

I played it up to about a year ago, and I have to say it is pretty good. It could be better however, if it had more of Mabinogi (the previous game): an open world + dungeons, the possibility to mix abilities without class restrictions, and instead of choosing what ability to level up, you had to use it in order for it to become stronger.
3166  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does Anybody Know Any Good Paradoxes or Riddles? on: April 27, 2014, 12:45:51 AM
Oh, yes. The Ship of Theseus? I think it would be different, of course.

Well, it isn't exactly clear to everyone that it would be different, though I myself agree, up to a point. But at what point do you consider it would be a different ship? After the first patch of the ship, or when it was composed of completely different materials? Or at some other point?

Also, if a second ship was built using only the materials of the first ship, would this be the original ship?
3167  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Global Conflict Today and where it started on: April 27, 2014, 12:17:06 AM

I didn't see the other videos, but there are a couple of misconceptions in the quoted one... for instance: conflict with the USSR didn't start at that point; it started as soon as it was seen that it could be a viable alternative to the system in place in the west, so basically since the revolution there. It didn't always manifest in the same way, but that doesn't change anything. Also, Russian tanks threatening South America? Really?  Cheesy

A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.
The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years.
Which room is safest for him?

I already know the answer to that one, so I won't spoil it.  Wink

But here are a few sites I had bookmarked with a lot of very good riddles, or to be more precise, lateral thinking puzzles:

What comes into your house every day and twice on a Sunday?

Is it the sun? It doesn't exactly walk into your house, but if you have windows... plus, on a Sunday it would come in as usual and it would be a Sun + day.  Tongue
congrats Smiley

Alright my turn then: what is it that enters the water and doesn't get wet?

I'm sure there are many answers for that one, so don't take it too far...  Wink

In terms of paradoxes, have you guys heard of the "Ship of Theseus" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of_Theseus)?

If someone will tell me he is using Lynx (web browser) I will tell he is a maniac or a h@x0r

Hey, Lynx is very cool...  Grin

It has been a long time since I used it last though; I mainly use Firefox now.

I would also like to join this campaign:

btc address: 1L7RPAAfE1Z4Xi6iYSnkJD389Ukybgq9gZ

Just a clarification, if you don't mind: posts anywhere in the forum count towards this campaign right? Off-topic, other languages, etc.

Bitcoins received and feedback given. Smiley

And that's it for now. I expect I will have a little more free time from now on, so I'll probably be looking at the other deals.

Thanks for running this great campaign EvilPanda.
3174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Teaching martial arts to children, and Martail Arts in general on: April 26, 2014, 04:20:09 AM
It can be anything but it would be really amazing if the video or exercise could have a game component. Because itīs a lot easier for children to learn that way.

You mean, something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i01nQ28REN4?

Sorry, couldn't help it... Grin

3175  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: April 25, 2014, 04:57:41 PM
Try this methods which will work for you.  Smiley

1. Request vod and tomatocage to remove their trust to whisker.

2. Apologize to whisker and explain that you will not do it again.

3. Post in the meta section. That whisker is abusing the trust system and you want him to be remove from the default trust.

4. Explain to stunna or ritz. Maybe they will accept you.

5. Create another account.

I think it was BadBear that added whiskers75 to his trust list, so you would have to talk to him instead of Vod or tomatocage.
3176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you want superpowers? on: April 25, 2014, 04:35:29 PM
Simple teleportation would be enough. Saves me time, can travel the world more, start a business with it, can get me out of life threatening situations. Practical and not too much downside.

Tell that to the guys in the movie Jumper (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489099/).  Grin

EDIT: though his idea of starting a business was robbing banks, so there's that...
3177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 25, 2014, 01:31:46 AM
How am supposed to answer to that question?

I give up; how do you?

Perhaps the same way you always do?
3178  Other / Off-topic / Re: If all the fictional alien races ever created were actually real............. on: April 25, 2014, 12:47:09 AM
The Borg were never defeated.  Captain Janeway just returned to earth.

The replicators all returned to one planet.  Just don't do that.  Smiley

Regardless, all in all the Borg weren't really that strong, their primary weakness being that they were really bad at technological development; they simply assimilated others, and were defenseless against those able to resist... during the events from Voyager, species 8472 was already beating them senseless, before Janeway got in the way. Tongue
3179  Other / Off-topic / Re: If all the fictional alien races ever created were actually real............. on: April 24, 2014, 06:37:58 AM
All of those had weaknesses
1. The Borg were defeated,
2. The Replicators where held indefinitely in a statis field.

Now the Q - beings that were only (as I recall) weak against their own kinds - now THEY could be definite contenders.

That's cheating... the Q were pretty much godlike. Grin

What about the aliens from the thirdspace in Babylon 5? They were even stronger than the first ones (vorlon, shadows, etc).
3180  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where are you from? on: April 24, 2014, 01:49:05 AM

EDIT: not the typeface...
