The Young Turks did a short piece about this at the end of last month: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVgSF8CzSy4.

Isn't there just one answer - 42?

And why you think 42 will be THE answer?

Isn't it the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything? Smiley

How bout Greenland?

How is Greenland any better than Iceland?
Isn't green a better word than ice? Who'd like to live in an Iceland anyway?

Are not both places rather cold?

What is your definition of cold?

Does it change that much between those places for it to be relevant?

Is it even worth for you for this month? Payment is on 17th.

Seriously? There's nine days left. Not exactly difficult to make 50 posts within that timeframe, and like Deisik said you can carry them over.

It might not be difficult for you to make 50 posts in that timeframe, but not everyone is a postaholic...  Grin
3206  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: April 08, 2014, 11:13:57 PM
League of Legends is my game of choice.

Try something better namely Dota2, LOL is just... just I can't even describe it, it is like target of LOL is 13 years old ADHD kids with no skill... Plus you don't have to buy heroes runes etc to play better, in DOTA2 no money can help you it is just your skill.

I was under the impression there was virtually nothing in LoL that would give you an advantage and that you could only obtain through investing in the game; at most you get different skins for the characters if you're willing to pay for them.
3207  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Golden Battles - Paying you to play! Up to 0.08 BTC. on: April 08, 2014, 07:44:35 PM
Well why don't you just fight specific alien with specific weapon? In that way you'll level up really fast no matter how much energy you left.

Anyway are you still playing the game? Just curious about it haha. Smiley

Well, I haven't played in a couple of months, but only got as far as level 6 or 7. At that point I only had the initial pistols, one of which had already ran out of ammo. So, the only option I had was to try and beat the harder enemies to avoid spending too much ammo, and still make enough money to at least be able to buy another weapon when needed. Maybe I missed something, or perhaps I didn't start off in a good country, but I think I would run out of ammo for both pistols pretty quickly without making much progress, if I expended all of the energy fighting the weaker enemies and just working.
3208  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Golden Battles - Paying you to play! Up to 0.08 BTC. on: April 08, 2014, 06:57:37 PM
I started playing this game a while back, but got bored pretty quickly... it's just annoying having to constantly return to the game to fight.  Undecided Plus, I think the higher the energy you have, the more damage you do, and so the higher level aliens you can defeat; so ideally you would be fighting only when near max energy, which means you would be in the game every 10 or 20 minutes (or how long it took to refill the energy), to be in top shape, and win as much as possible.

Then there is also the part about the whole concept and options being just like MarketGlory, only under a different theme.  Tongue

It will never end ! but I'm wondering what's the next topic would be?

How about the IRS rulings on taxes and cryptocurrency?
Awww mannn, dou you have to bring THAT up again?

I seem to be obsessed with it, do I not?

is it really a bad thing for bitcoin? I don't think so

Did you really have to answer your own question?

I am starting now!
Post count: 188 posts
Do I have to give a BTC address now or can I do it later?

I think you have to be at least a Full Member to be able to join this sig campaign; take a look at the first post to know the details.

Where can I trade BTC for some Amazon Gift Cards?

No idea... though you can propose that somewhere in the Marketplace.

And are there any No Limit Texas Hold'em Poker sites with BTC ??

Quite a few, I believe: http://bitcoinpokersites.net/.
3214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: April 05, 2014, 02:09:41 AM
Hi, faucets will take down the bad road... .01 BTC is 4$ - simply buy it.

Where's the fun in that?  Roll Eyes

Besides.. Why would I spend money to buy money?

Well you wont get money for free either.

Really?? one learns something new everyday..

So.. expecting donations?? would that be considered wanting free money? Roll Eyes

You're still using up your time asking for donations, so that isn't really free either... unless you value your time that little. Tongue
3215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: April 04, 2014, 04:11:40 AM
Not all but I checked the ad in the siggy thing and most of them are looking for Members not Newbies so that's out of the equation and... so far I haven't found a thing to do in the services thread.. so  Cry

Is there a way I can make like 0.001 BTC at-least? like today?

I am losing all hopes Sad

EDIT: I signed up at Ritz, they game me 0.10 credit, don't know what's that worth in BTC, and I am playing slots right now, I'll update if I win anything.

UPDATE: Lost all credit!

As I suggested above, you can also take a look in the Marketplace, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0; maybe look into selling stuff or so... but you're likely not going to get btc today that way either.
3216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: April 04, 2014, 03:14:11 AM
#services??

Sorry for being a noob but I don't know what services you mean.. Huh

Whose advertisement should I put in my sig??

I'll try those gambling sites, I don't know if I am that lucky but I'll give it a shot.

He meant these services, in the Services board of the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0.

EDIT: in there you can find the signature campaings mentioned, like PrimeDice or Ritz and many others, but you'll usually need to have Member level activity (basically, have been posting on the forum for a month or two). Alternatively, you can try finding something else, like for example, designing a logo for btc, if you like doing that sort of thing.

EDIT2: you can also visit the Marketplace (which includes the Services sub), which offers a few more options: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0
3217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: April 03, 2014, 04:52:00 PM
I suppose you can also try gambling sites like PrimeDice or Ritz, which start you off with a small amount of btc to play with. Other than that, sig deals as mentioned, though you'll need to stick around for a few months before making that much.

Hey! That sequence is mine...  Grin

23 pages in and this is still going?  Smiley I suppose no one would bother to take into account the numbers mentioned previously for 0.01 btc, but I would have imagined someone would have hit it by now.

Oh, well I'll give it a try as well...  Grin

Excuse my ignorance, but why are people joining a signature campaign which rates are not even close to competitive compared to other ones such as ritz and primedice? Maybe I'm missing something.

If you don't post an awful lot, this campaign does actually have much higher rates than those two... unless they just dramatically increased their rates today, which I think didn't happen (it was only a mild increase, while they were competing with one another).

EDIT: notice that for the 50 posts required by this campaign, you get paid 0.0016 btc per post, if you're a Sr or Hero Member. PD for example only pays 0.0007 btc per post for Hero Members, so it is only worth it if you do many posts a month.
