The Next Generation = Yes season, episode =
Season 2, Episode 16
Q throws the Enterprise into uncharted space where it encounters and is engaged by a vessel of a previously unknown species: the Borg. When the vessel instantly and effortlessly overwhelms the Enterprise, Picard realizes that the Federation may not be as ready for the future as he thought.
Here we have the first mention of The Borg, and their introduction is admirably mysterious. At the time I was rather annoyed at the lack of info, but over time I came to appreciate it. Their subsequent presence in the series is strengthened by their first appearing like this."
Ah, I'm sure I saw that episode, some 20 years ago or something like that... but I didn't remember that scene. Thanks for bringing that up. Personally, I kind of liked the abrupt introduction, and how "different" the Borg seemed at that time, compared to the other more traditional species. And it also left you wondering why Q had done it in the first place: was it a creative way to get rid of the Federation, or did he have some ulterior motive for doing so?

I don't dismiss your post. The bars on top and bottom make it stand out more, and also make it so that you cant put stuff visibly below the Primedice logo. If you post in the Ritz thread and are from Primedice, you get your post deleted.
You don't automatically get your post deleted if you work for Primedice and post in Ritz's thread, and you can check the thread right now to confirm that. Further, even if that was the case, it's not as if I have any influence over that, and I don't think that's what brush242 was getting at. But anyway, thanks for not dismissing it outright just because I don't work for PD. EDIT: as an example of what I was saying, boumalo and howzar both have posts in the latest page of Ritz's thread.

Back off Q!! She has amazing powers that are hinted at and never shown or explained. Though why anyone in the Q Continuum would be in any way intimidated by Guinan is never explained. Obviously there's more to her species than we ever learn, but unless she's omnipotent, there's no way Q would act the way he does here. Sure, Q exhibits many petty quirks and inconsistencies, but... come on. ~source Eh? I think I missed that episode. Is that from The Next Generation, and if so, what season, episode?

Supposedly Lex Luthor is also in the fight, so it will probably be the same old story... EDIT: Superpowers are for wimps. I want god-like powers.
So, you want to be part of the Q Continuum?

Simple teleportation would be enough. Saves me time, can travel the world more, start a business with it, can get me out of life threatening situations. Practical and not too much downside.
Yea...until you teleport inside a wall or tree That's what GPS, or Google Maps is for...

Just so everyone knows, you get:
0.7 experience/day (everytime you work) - 0.2% experience/day
So yeah... It would take many months to earn 100 exp... and 1000 exp is impossible without a large amount of investment.
Well, you can get up to 3 experience points each day if you have 5 or more refs, and you can invest €20 in the game to get 100 experience points immediately... of course if you have that much to spend in the game, you probably wouldn't care about the 0.0021 btc the op is paying that far. As for reaching 1000 experience points, it might be worth noting that even Tamerlan, possibly the most sucessful player in MarketGlory, is only at about 1500 points, and he has been playing for years. So effectively, the game might be long dead before anyone starting now actually reaches that point. EDIT: Oh, right: you can also buy experience points within the game, but they come at a price of €0.5 per point (gradually lowering to €0.4 as you gain more experience).

Maybe that was just if the person 'resigned' early from the campaign then.
[...]
Yes, if you had been advertising for Gaw Miners over a week and had over 50 posts, you could resign and be paid earlier. As others said however, payments would otherwise be automatic, requiring no further communication from either party. Here are my humble opinions.
For someone making tons of useless posts, I believe a mod should delete the posts to give them a warning, and ban the user insists on making useless posts, and delete all his posts.
If you only ban the accounts, the users may still be able to collect their payment on that month (so they are still paid for spamming).
Wouldn't it be possible to remove signature privileges from users caught spamming while promoting a service in their signature? I guess it depends on the campaign, but I'd say most would assume the user had left the campaign and decline to pay automatically, without there being a need for someone to go over every post from that user to check if it was relevant or not.

You can count me in! Posts: 211 Address: 16EQZLSuEe4tdkEu2hiZnriLgF2DC7ZRH2 Forgot to ask.. Am I automatically enrolled or do I need to wait for OP's confirmation? Just a couple of posts back you have someone ask the exact same thing, and receive an answer... anyway, no, you don't need to wait for confirmation; you're good to go.

Not that anyone asked, but personally I don't like the Full Member signatures as much. Senior and Hero Member sigs look very good, but the dashes above and below the sig in Full Members looks somewhat obtrusive to me. I know that given the smaller font size they had to stand out somehow, but perhaps thinner dashes or only keeping the lower dash would wield better results. ...Says the guy with a competitor's .sig (at the time of this writing) below his post. Lots of credibility there. Sounds legit to me. Really? Just because I work for the competition, you automatically dismiss the post without giving it a second thought? While it might be useful to have an idea of where another is coming from, you should always look at content first and foremost, no matter if it comes from your worst enemy or your dearest friend.

The new signatures look much better than the previous ones. Good idea to have different signatures for different activity levels, just so everyones doesn't look identical...

As several others have said, probably "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (the first 5 books of the trilogy at least ). Now, I'm probably going to read "The Call of Cthulhu", which seems to me to have the perfect start for a terror (short) story: The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age. EDIT: Read it, and recommend it.

I haven't seen either of those, but to be honest I can't even remember the last movie I saw... most tend to be very poor excuses to spend 1 or 2 hours.

People will do something about it when the prospect of being murdered by armed thugs seems like a better deal than their day to day lives (i.e. going to work or whatever).
The sad part is, it doesn't have to get to that point, if people start doing something about it. And it doesn't even have to be much at this point in time... Like what? Call your congressman? Write a letter? Vote? If these things could effect anything, they'd be banned. Best thing to do is to withdraw from the system to every extent that's possible. The enslaving debt based financial system requires ever more debt, so if people stop creating more debt(currency) then the financial system will collapse. Stop being good consumers. Stop borrowing and living beyond your means. Stop using electronic credit dollars and use physical dollars. Keep your currency away from banks. So, we agree up to a point, right? You're already providing a few things that people can do, starting immediately: "Stop being good consumers. Stop borrowing and living beyond your means. Stop using electronic credit dollars and use physical dollars. Keep your currency away from banks". I would say however that credit unions would perhaps be a good replacement for banks at this time; no need to keep your money under the mattress. But I disagree that the rest is fundamentally ineffective; it tends to take a lot of organizing to get it to work, probably more than most people are willing to (and given the situation of a lot of people, even able to) put up with, but it's possible. There's only so much influence big money has on government, and only so much the mainstream media is able to brainwash. So, take for example what the guys from The Young Turks are trying to do: they created Wolf PAK ( http://www.wolf-pac.com/) with the idea of passing an amendment to the constitution to get money out of politics. I think this is the most recent update from them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZfIShjcA9w. Why not give it a go?

... Why does everyone who makes mistakes have to be high in your opinion?
Do you think the reason is: mistakes made while being high, lead to thinking others do the same? This is a good point, how did you come to this idea? Do you think that, perhaps he has the benefit of experience to reach that conclusion? Maybe, but why don't we ask him? Bit_Happy, are you saying this because you have the benefit of experience?

the thing is why he didnt even bother to update us on this thread regarding his new account
I'm not sure there would be much point in that being stated in this thread, since this relates only to the signature deal. Also, I think Ritz (at least the person taking care of this thread) is a she, not a he: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=227066.

Yeah, it has been tough week for me.

In situations like these, I would like to have something useful or at least interesting to say, but never having gone through what I suppose you're going through, I'm somewhat at a loss. So I'll just say that I hope everything works out for you. Take care.

But didn't you lose your progress in the game, or something like that, by doing it? Or am I confusing that with another option? Go to country tab, at the top of it there is a dropdown list. Choose the country you want, then click "request citizenship'. After that, you need to travel there.. You get free instant teleports x10. Where it displays your current location... beside it, click change location, and choose the Country you want, and choose "Teleport instantly' Ah, thank you, but I don't play this game anymore (and only played a little some time ago). I just had the idea that you could, sort of "restart" the game elsewhere (without actually creating a new account), but would lose experience and some other stuff. I thought that was what you were suggesting, but I guess it's not the same thing then.

Is there a reason to be registered for UK??
UK is a pretty great country, it has very active members... But you can always change citizenship and teleport to other countries.
Another option would be registering under Netherlands, very active there too But didn't you lose your progress in the game, or something like that, by doing it? Or am I confusing that with another option?
