3281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's high time we end Forign aid to Israel. on: February 12, 2014, 07:42:43 PM
Why should the American tax payers fund the Israelis?

While I agree with the idea of cutting this type of aid to Israel, I was under the impression the Israelis had to spend that money in American military hardware; so isn't it more like "why should the American tax payers fund American private companies"?
3282  Economy / Services / Re: We will pay you to advertise our site in your sig.. Post your asking price here! on: February 12, 2014, 05:35:46 PM
I have sent you a PM in relation to this promotion.
3283  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: February 11, 2014, 11:34:34 PM

You know what, I'm out of this thread.

I see now some people have no problem with returning to societies where those unable to fend for themselves are left to die in the streets.

Fortunately I believe these people are in the minority.

Good luck with your infantile libertarian wankfest.

Sorry to correct you, but you don't know the world you're living in. We are the majority.

In India and on most of Africa, there are thousands dying in the streets everyday. According to the U.N. there are 842 million people who do not have enough to eat. I know many people are just dreamers, and the news only confirm this: the U.S. House just once again raised the debt limit. I'm proud to say I'm standing on my two feet while you're sitting on hot air.

How exactly does people starving by the millions equate in any way to them agreeing with you?

Just 2 posts back you have someone saying the giveaway is over; what exactly do you hope to accomplish with posting your address here?  Tongue
3285  Economy / Services / Re: WILL PAY MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE FOR RENTING SIG SPACE on: February 11, 2014, 04:39:45 AM
Can pay in zetacoin.

Still open.

If you could trade in those coins for btc and use an escrow, I'm sure you would get a few people in this campaign. I know I would probably be interested, as I don't usually post enough each month to take full advantage of the primedice campaign.

^^ I bet the threshold is either 1 or 2 hours

That long? Try to edit the post now... I'm sure half an hour will do the trick.  Wink

Now I feel sad because I haven't received money from 1Enjoy 1Sochi  Undecided

Technically, neither did anyone else...  Tongue

How can you tell if someone edited the post? Huh

A dotted line appears under the date and time of the post. If you move the mouse cursor over there, it will show you when the post was edited (see my post as an example)...

I think this only happens if the edit happened several minutes after the edit. If you edit your post before then, no such line shows up.

EDIT: testing... Tongue
3289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enjoy? on: February 10, 2014, 10:16:30 PM
I  wonder where are they getting the addresses?

The address to which I received the satoshi I only use in this forum, in particular in the primedice sig campaign. However, the transactions are visible to anyone through the blockchain, so that isn't much.
3290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enjoy? on: February 10, 2014, 10:06:11 PM
Ah, I was wondering who had sent me 1 satoshi last night, and why it had only been seen by 2 peers... guess this explains it. Roll Eyes

I have one question any one have 0.8 btc in a month from this campaign ?

Up to this point the maximum offered was 0.4 btc... and I'm not sure anyone got that many posts.  Grin

I think this is a better video from TYT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsfZlGYRWWs
And this one which mentions the black kid who was sent down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYORruzVefQ

You're right, those videos are much better at explaining the case. I'll add them to the first post.
3293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you have Affluenza? on: February 07, 2014, 06:10:25 PM
Yeah, this was appalling. Apparently the same judge sent a young black kid down who got into a fight and accidentally killed the other kid after he fell down and banged his head or something. Love the Young Turks too.

Well, that black kid wasn't suffering from affluenza. Roll Eyes

Affluenza? That cannot be a real thing. Was that used in the defense?

Yeah, it was used by a psychologist the defense called. And yes, the psychologist just made that up; it's not a real diagnosis.
3294  Other / Politics & Society / Do you have Affluenza? on: February 07, 2014, 04:18:02 PM
In June 2013, a teenager crashed his car, killing 4 people that were on the side of the road and paralyzing another. Turns out he was driving drunk, with 7 of his friends in the car, and they had just robbed a liquor store.

The case went to court and the judge sentenced him to 10 years of probation and advised he should spend some time in rehabilitation.

Quote
The case set off an emotional debate because a psychologist for the teenager said his family's wealth impaired the youth's ability to take responsibility for his actions, calling the affliction "affluenza."

The story in TYT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq3vaJ7P41g.

And as hilariousandco mentioned down bellow:

3295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Massachusetts Pirate Party is allowed to collect Bitcoin donations on: February 06, 2014, 07:48:11 PM
I'm sure all pirate parties accept BTC!

Well, probably... but you know, bureaucracy. Tongue

Besides, it might be a good idea to always keep track of where the money comes from, particularly in the case of the large political parties; so at least you know who is screwing you over. Roll Eyes
3296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Massachusetts Pirate Party is allowed to collect Bitcoin donations on: February 05, 2014, 11:07:47 AM
Can you tell about them for all those non-US citizens? Smiley Who are they and what are they doing? Pirating movies from torrents and going like "YARRrr" ? Grin

Nothing that drastic... Grin but they are for copyright and patent law reforms. Or as wikipedia puts it:

Quote
Pirate parties support civil rights, direct democracy and participation in government, reform of copyright and patent law, free sharing of knowledge (open content), information privacy, transparency, freedom of information and network neutrality.

Also, there are Pirate Parties in several dozens of countries, a couple with official positions already. So, depending on where you are from, you might already have one near you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Global_atlas_of_identified_Pirate_Parties.svg.

3297  Other / Politics & Society / The Massachusetts Pirate Party is allowed to collect Bitcoin donations on: February 05, 2014, 05:10:26 AM
http://torrentfreak.com/pirate-party-can-collect-political-donations-in-bitcoin-govt-says-140204/

If you're a supporter of the Massachusetts Pirate Party and a US citizen, you can now donate to them in bitcoins.  Grin

Quote
Responding to an inquiry from the local Pirate Party, the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance states that political parties are allowed to accept donations in Bitcoin. The approval, which is welcomed by many Bitcoin supporters, comes with strict guidelines.

Alright, let's see what kind of response I get. If I don't get one then ill go ahead and add it anyways.

Maybe he did not answer because answer is in the 1st post of this thread?
Smiley
You should not advert any other site or put any quote. You sell your advert space on your account to them when you apply.
This is how I understand it.

Well, you can at least put a quote in there... Tongue

Quote
You may not advertise any other sites/threads. This includes non-paid for advertisements. You may include other non advertising related. Eg. a quote, your Bitcoin address etc.
3299  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.8BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: February 05, 2014, 02:21:24 AM
Quick question. Is it ok if we put an affiliates link in the url? I see a few people doing that.

not clearly sure about that man  Huh  Huh  Huh

Stunna please clarify before PD3 launches. This way we can maximize referrals.

As Stunna wrote: "You may not advertise any other sites/threads. This includes non-paid for advertisements. You may include other non advertising related. Eg. a quote, your Bitcoin address etc.  "

I think this make you understand Smiley that the best is to keep it clear Smiley
thats what I understand - I might me wrong - correct me if so.

I messaged Stunna to clear things up.

I've sent him a message last month precisely about this issue and never got a response. Sad

I guess you can participate in this round since you will have 50 activity by the time you ask.

On another note, I read somewhere that the activity calculations were updated. Im not sure but assuming the old version is still being used, then its ok.

He may be able to participate, but according to the first post he may not get paid for those posts while he is bellow 50 activity:

Quote
EDIT: Due to the great number of complaints about spam bots, we will be restricting the next round (Jan 17th onwards) to users with 50+ activity. Any posts you make while you are under 50 activity will not contribute to your total.
and who will know how many were below?

Good point. I guess you can sort of calculate it given the activity formula, but it's just easier to make sure new participants already start with the minimum of 50.
