I was going to say the Indiana Jones movie series was pretty good, but then I remembered they actually made a fourth movie...  Roll Eyes
2982  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE MORE. UP TO 0.0014 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 18, 2014, 05:18:18 AM
True, maybe they should though, :p. I just wonder if these other guys that are joining realize that until they're confirmed, they aren't confirmed. So people who joined a couple days ago may not be confirmed and may not even be accepted, despite going around to make posts.

I suppose it is reassuring to have official confirmation as soon as possible. That said, they stated there was no limit to the number of participants of this campaign, last I asked, and if people followed the enrollment "procedure" correctly, there is no realistic reason they shouldn't be accepted, even if confirmation takes longer.
2983  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: May 18, 2014, 04:37:48 AM
I wish everyone's dream or wish comes true...do you think it is possible ?  Huh

Even if it were possible, do you think that's wise? Without wanting to give out too many details about the story, it kind of reminds me of The Vision of Escaflowne, which I mentioned before; people's wishes are often contradictory, and when they aren't, they can lead to competition and conflict. I'm not sure that can end well. Tongue
2984  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE MORE. UP TO 0.0014 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 18, 2014, 04:29:04 AM
I am just waiting to see how many people will join UP/DOWN campaign till end of the month. So many up/down sigs already!

I'm more wondering if the UpDown.BT is still around. They haven't been on in almost 2 days.

Well, it is the weekend... not everyone lives for the forum.  Grin
2985  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Poll] Should the minimum wage be raised? on: May 18, 2014, 04:20:24 AM
I'm sorry, but this seems like the propaganda going around about the evils of raising the minimum wage; do you have any decent sources to back that up?

It depends what you mean by sources.

Almost no economists would dispute the negative economic effects that increasing the minimum wage can have on society by driving price levels up. http://ftp.iza.org/dp1072.pdf

Just typical AS/AD diagram shows this...

The real problem is a political and a welfare one, which is much harder to model.

Well, yes of course it is harder to model it when you're looking at the real world, but that's what you have to work with; and in this context there is no evidence that small increases to the minimum wage will have large negative effects down the line, especially when you consider my previous argument and the fact that productivity continues to increase.

As for "no economists disputing the negative economic effects that increasing the minimal wage can have on society", here's someone who disagrees:
An interview with Robert Pollin from the Political Economy Research Institute on The Real News: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKXTUJrk3GY.
2986  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Poll] Should the minimum wage be raised? on: May 17, 2014, 02:56:42 PM
When price levels rise with wages, output declines and it would have hugely negative inflationary effects. Even small increases on minimal wages have been shown to have large effects down the line on unemployment and general shopping baskets.

One of the best things about America is the low minimum wages in certain states. Sure wish we had that in the UK.

I'm sorry, but this seems like the propaganda going around about the evils of raising the minimum wage; do you have any decent sources to back that up?

EDIT: because remember, we're talking about people that are already receiving the minimum wage; these people aren't going to save what little extra more they might get with an increase - they're going to spend it in their other basic needs. So, this is money that's going directly back into the economy, perhaps providing more business to the very guys paying the minimum wage as well, now that more people can afford their goods.

2988  Economy / Lending / Re: Fast loans on: May 17, 2014, 02:18:30 PM
Have send documentation.
[...]
I agree to terms and will provide further documentation if needed.

I can send you ID and Address proof as appropriate collateral if needed

Perhaps you guys should read this thread, also started by Trista354: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=610944.0. As Monbux suggested there, don't send your personal information directly; send it to escrow, if you even really need to provide it at all.

2989  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: May 17, 2014, 01:47:48 PM
You can't wish for 'more genies'. More isn't a defined number, so more could be a billion, trillion and such. Do you want to cause a paradox with a single wish?  Cheesy

Hey, it seems to have worked for him. Grin Then again, we never saw the next panel in the comic, so it could have been the end of the world due to genie overpopulation...
2990  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your dream job? on: May 17, 2014, 01:28:36 PM
Work in a lab with free access to any kind of physics chemistry and biology equipments

Since you mentioned biology there, and this being for a "dream job", how far along morality would you be willing to take those experiments? Tongue

Want to be a teacher.
That sounds like a reasonable goal for some reason the first one that came to my mind was Great Teacher Onizuka ^_^

Great Teacher Onizuka!! It has been a long time since I've heard/read that name; thanks for reminding me. Grin
2991  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you want superpowers? on: May 17, 2014, 10:22:09 AM
the only superpower i want is money ,, because if you have money you can get anything buy anything ,, it's simple look at batman and iron man they dont have superpowers all they have is lot of lot of money ,, plus they are the coolest superheroes ever ,, -_- i am batman  Cool

You can't really buy everything with money; perhaps you could build a suit like iron man's, but at this stage, more than access to resources to build it you need knowledge on how to build a power source powerful enough to allow the whole thing to function and small enough to be mobile.

Maybe throwing a lot of money at it would give you the solution for that in time, but there are other "superpowers" you would probably need ages before acquiring, if ever; to pick on a few from this thread: mind control, teleportation, time travel, mind reading, etc..
2992  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: May 17, 2014, 05:02:17 AM
It should surely count for something, but does anyone care?

Aren't those raising and discussing the issue already effectively caring about it?
2993  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Marketglory - Paying you to play! up too 0.03 BTC on: May 16, 2014, 04:29:09 PM
Did OP do escrow for this ? Before that a lot people have been running away without paying .

Well, if OP did escrow, the btc would be trapped literally forever, as no one is going to reach any significant amount unless they invest (which kind of defeats the purpose of all this). Read the rest of the thread for details. Wink
2994  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE MORE. UP TO 0.0014 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 16, 2014, 06:58:50 AM
Till when is Updown.bt paying weekly??

According to the OP:

Quote
UPD: During the first month of the campaign payouts will be provided on a weekly basis. First one will be made on May 15.

So, having paid yesterday already, I'd say there are still 3 more weeks before they switch to monthly payments.
2995  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 16, 2014, 05:28:11 AM
Guys, I have a couple of questions:

1. If I applied one week before 17th can I claim payment for posts?
2. Should I reapply each month? If the answer is 'yes', when?

Provided you can make 50 constructive posts before the 17th, it doesn't matter when you've applied.

In relation to the second question, yes you should reapply each month, with the same format as the OP states (see the very first post in this thread), and I guess you can do so anytime after sending in the PM on the 17th.
2996  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 15, 2014, 09:23:51 AM
First, It's not a link, and second, they don't pay for sig, I am employed by them and I am just putting my title in my sig.
I'm sorting it out with Stunna right now, he's telling me to remove by BTC address too.... -_-

Can't you just add your title with AnxBTC to your profile overview (the thing on the left for each post)?

EDIT: I haven't tried it, but you probably lose the formatting you would otherwise be able to use in your sig. On the other hand, it's better than nothing. Tongue
2997  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 14, 2014, 08:01:39 AM
I'm wondering who Updown.BT is?

They're the new deal on the block: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600446.0. They have the highest payments so far, and in order to gain trust with the community faster, they decided to pay on a weekly basis for the first month of the campaign, and offer a bit upfront for Hero Members that join them.
2998  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 14, 2014, 07:00:19 AM
No offence to the op of this Casino but you should change the title since your no longer the highest paying Signature, third highest now you can add to it.

Updownbit can't be counted until there's confirmed payouts, which is tomorrow. I'm thinking he'll pay providing he is who he says he is though. And have you requested that Ritz's also changes his thread title?

Hazir already has... you wouldn't expect that to take long, would you? Tongue
2999  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 13, 2014, 11:03:29 PM
FWIW, I see Ritz' posts without any red warning.  I don't know if something has changed with the trust situation since everyone was talking about it, but I don't see the warning anymore.

I still see them with the negative trust warning... did you add Ritz to your trust list? I think that would be the only way for you not to see the warning.

EDIT: and looking at the feedback left, it all still appears to be there.

I'm currently torn between German and Russian; I've spent more time with German so far, also on Duolingo, but I really like Russian. Roll Eyes
