There are a few tricks for buying energy the less possible, first is put you hapiness as high as possible to avoid hiring new workers to replace the dead ones, dont renovate until 50% and put all your production buildings on lvl 5 48 hours production.

Yeah, happiness isn't at 100% yet, but even doing all the rest, I still burn through energy at an alarming rate...  Undecided

the thing i hate is that you lose the worked time and resources if some worker dies while a factory was making production.

you have to watch out for the days of life remaining, imagine if you put your gold mine on 0.5 and some worker dies in the meantime.

I haven't had that happen to me yet, fortunately.  Smiley But it would be nice if that just temporarily stopped the production, until you assigned someone else to it, instead of immediately losing everything because someone died 1 minute before the end.

Ahh ok, that looks pretty good too but I would prefer a course dedicated to neural networks so I think I'll keep watching the lectures from the course I found and then maybe check out the machine learning course when I'm finished (is it also free?).

Sure, have fun.  Smiley And yes, the machine learning course is also free; in fact I think all the courses in coursera are, which is pretty cool.
3345  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Artificial Neural Network & Genetic Algorithm Library For Deja Vu on: January 17, 2014, 09:17:47 AM
Ah, sorry, actually I meant this one: https://www.coursera.org/course/ml with Andrew Ng from Stanford University. You can see the videos the course is based on in the preview, and it starts with neural networks at week 4.

You can trade the bonuses of gold in the market and you will get tons of resources so you will have a turbo to level up, and to claim the next bonus will be even more easy.

...or save it to buy energy later. At level 16, I'm constantly running out of energy to do stuff.  Roll Eyes

I've watched almost all of his videos, I'm extremely grateful that you could show me this mans channel, what a brilliant teacher.
No problem, he is certainly a great teacher. He is able to explain things in a very clear and simple fashion and he doesn't overcomplicate anything beyond what is necessary. I've tried watching other lectures on ANN's and all of them are very hard to follow compared to this lecture series. He also has a lot of other great lecture series related to ANN's if you look through the videos in his channel.

I personally liked following the Machine Learning course in https://www.coursera.org/. The teacher is great and covers most of the basics; unfortunately, it never gets to anything much more elaborate.

I personally don't even believe using the death penalty is just.  Roll Eyes

Yes, the guy was a sad excuse for a human being, but killing him or making him suffer like that won't change anything: she will still be dead, and others will still do the same thing. We should focus on how we can prevent this from happening again.

If he realy didnt do antything you have nothing to worry about.... just stay calm  Smiley

Sorry to say, but that's the worst advice ever...  Tongue

Anyway, as others have said before, IP alone can't be used to identify someone; see for example the following case (from 2011) http://www.zdnet.com/blog/networking/court-rules-internet-ip-addresses-are-not-people/1022.

Quote
As Judge Baker wrote, "In this case, not a single one of the plaintiff's 1.017 potential adversaries has been identified. … Moreover, VPR ignores the fact that IP subscribers are not necessarily copyright infringers." He also said that even when the ISP does provide an IP address' subscriber information that the subscriber may not be guilty of any crime.

EDIT: Added a quote of the relevant part, from the linked site.

I signed up.

Really?  Grin What made you do it? And did you get selected to the next stage, the 1058 candidates they chose?

Mars One could be beat by SpaceX...

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of the private spaceflight company SpaceX, has announced an ambitious plan to colonize Mars by shuttling 80,000 pioneers to the Red Planet at a cost of $500,000 a trip. The first phase of the program, which is contingent on the development of reusable rocket that can take off and land vertically, would start off modestly with only a handful of explorers leaving Earth at a time. But in short order, the self-sustaining population could grow into something far greater.

The announcement was made by the billionaire Musk to an audience at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London on November 16. He was there to talk about his business plans and to receive the Society's gold medal for helping to advance the commercial space industry.

Now, if they could send a house building 3d printer like Contour Crafting and modify it to use local resources, it would speed things up considerably and remove the need to send in living areas or construction materials in the same quantity as a colony would otherwise need. Smiley

How does my holding onto my stuff, or me and a buddy agreeing privately on payment for a job threaten violence (or just "not avoid" it?)

Because to people like him wanting to hold onto your stuff is 'hoarding' and should be punished Tongue

Just to be clear, and to others who might read this, we're not talking about personal property here; no one wants your toothbrush. Tongue

The problem, as far as I see it, is that it isn't just you and your buddy voluntarily agreeing on payment for a job: if you allow private property, say land ownership or of a factory for example, then those who need to make use of the land or the resources produced need to enter into contract with the owners. If they have have no other choice in the matter, this leads to inequality, or hierarchies, which is exactly what anarchy is supposed to avoid.
3353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] How would you describe yourself politically? on: January 11, 2014, 01:59:05 PM
Because if you support the threat of violence against other human beings then that just makes you an asshole.

Sure, but I don't see how anarcho-capitalism avoids the threat of violence when it promotes private property and wage labour.

The average temperature of Earth according to NASA figures is 15°C

Yes, it's amazing the amount of nonsense Spendulus comes up with. Roll Eyes

Anyway, just a minor correction about that site: Sedna's average temperature is about -261C, not the -280C shown.

The only ethical option: anarcho-capitalist.

How do you figure anarcho-capitalism is the only ethical option?
3356  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] How would you describe yourself politically? on: January 10, 2014, 11:10:44 AM
Libertarian Socialist is a confused person, how can the government provide many goods and services to the public and control the means of production (Socialism) while at the same time leaving you free to provide for yourself and be small (Libertarian)?

Your definitions are a bit off, hence the confusion. Socialism doesn't necessarily imply government control of the means of production; you can have state socialism which does, and libertarian socialism which doesn't.

Libertarian socialism itself strives for a non-hierarchical society, governed by more direct forms of democracy and without private property in the means of production. Notice that this is in no way incompatible with providing healthcare or assistance to those in need.

3358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Wet out there on: January 07, 2014, 08:39:41 AM
It's so wet out there where I live that the sea dragged about 20 cars (including a bus) yesterday. And a couple of days ago it was also quite windy...  Roll Eyes (you might need to use google translate to actually read those)
3359  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: January 07, 2014, 08:18:19 AM
Name an MMO and I probably play it or have played it -- hazard of the job that I'm in. Although I do meander around a great deal, I often do circle back to World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2 nowadays.

Have you played Mabinogi, or Vindictus?

At the moment, I only have time to play Goldentowns (my ref link), which is a rather slow placed browser game.  Roll Eyes

Because the first captcha was easily cracked by OCR software. I was aware of it and thought nobody would bother to do it with such small amounts, but i was wrong. People even started selling bots that would solve the captcha automatically for free play.

 Grin

So, you helped create a new market opportunity... not bad.  Wink

I realize they are a pain to solve, heck even I hate solving them but I was left with no choice really.

Well, I can't really blame you, I guess. It would be nice if there was another way of doing this, but I can't think of anything either.  Roll Eyes
