3441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Switzerland to vote on $2,800 monthly ‘basic income’ for adults on: December 08, 2013, 03:17:59 AM
I'm surprised no one posted this yet: http://basicincome2013.eu/. Basically the same proposal, but for Europe. Also, this movie might help explain a little better how it could work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExRs75isitw.

I for one would like to see this implemented in a small scale, to test it out, pretty much like it was done in Canada with Mincome.

Sad

He has one negative review saying that he couldn't prove he had funds, but he did take a few screenshots of his balance.

Here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345114.0

Thanks for the link. After seeing the requests for an escrow in that thread, and after being scammed in one of the "play goldentowns for btc" threads, I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to always request some form of escrow be used for these things.  Roll Eyes I mean, reputation counts, I suppose, but making a habit of always asking for some proof/account balance/whatever could prevent a lot of issues later on.

Also about this. There is another sig campaign that is paying more than this, but Stunna wants to wait for a month to see if the person actually pays out.

I guess a little competition would be good, although from what I read in this thread, he already has a negative trust score, unfortunately. Did someone jump the gun and assume it was too good to be true? Tongue

By the way, do you have a link to the other campaign? I tried doing a quick search, but was unable to find it.

Quick question. Bitcoin is dropping. You said that if it started to drop you would increase the amount? Its at $750 right now!

Hmm, I didn't read the full thread, but I did read one post where he explained that he had lowered the payment due to the competition doing the same. I might have missed something in the meantime though, but here's to hoping it goes up either way. Grin

I posted this on another thread, but here it goes again:

What about posting a message in the advertising area (the thing on the right) to get more attention to this? Maybe include his username and a link to this thread. Though I suppose this requires a bit of gold to do.

With a bit of luck someone else will see it, and decide it's a good investment to invade him... Wink

EDIT: We can also leave a message in the game's forum about this.

You're right, it seems I was able to log in this time. Thanks.  Smiley
3451  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: .01 BTC Poker Freeroll SnG on: November 24, 2013, 09:29:18 PM
Yes, the first error was not the main problem. The second error however prevents me from playing altogether.

That is, I click "play now" in the homepage, after log in, and it takes me to the game environment. It seems to load the game just fine, but as soon as the lobby window opens, I get a "Session key is invalid or expired" error. And if I try to log in directly through the "login" button at the bottom, it gives me this error: "No session key specified, direct logins not allowed".

Edit: Also, after clicking "Exit" while within the game, it closes the lobby window, but nothing else happens. It never goes back to the homepage.

Edit2: I don't know if it helps, but my username is "jf094q" and I'm using firefox at the moment. I asked a friend of mine to try it out as well (using chrome), and he gets the same errors.
3452  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: .01 BTC Poker Freeroll SnG on: November 24, 2013, 09:02:43 PM
I was going to try out the game, but I got a couple of errors that prevented me from doing so.

First, after entering the site, in the top left corner a couple of error messages appeared: "Notice:  Undefined offset: 2 in /var/www/functions.php on line 155" was one of them. I suppose that was what a previous poster was talking about.

Next, I pressed play, but as soon as it reached the lobby another error message appeared, stating the session key had expired, and it didn't allow me to log in directly with my credentials either.

Is the site having problems, or did I do something wrong? By the way, the game environment looks cool.

True, but where can you find the level 5 players (or level 3-4 players). That is the problem.

You're it...  Smiley

I've just signed in as your referal.

user: u9y420

Could you please confirm everything worked well? Also, do you have any tips on how to play?  Smiley

Must be busted, or it hates Gmail.

I had no problem using Gmail to sign up.
3456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Will Bitcoin Reach $1000?? on: November 20, 2013, 02:07:58 PM
BTC value will rise until people realize just how hard it is to get their money out. Once they do, it will crash massively and pick up again when more exchanges appear and make it easier to convert back to fiat.

I imagine the increase in services that accept bitcoin directly might help mitigate any drop though, or maybe avoid it altogether. But then again, that might be too optimistic.  Roll Eyes
3457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy bitcoins? (from europe) on: November 20, 2013, 01:31:15 PM
I haven't actually bought any myself, but doesn't localbitcoins have an escrow system, so in theory making it relatively safe, even if dealing directly with other people?
3458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's stupid that newbies must make 5 posts and browse for 4 hours. Here's why on: November 20, 2013, 01:22:28 PM
Well , i'm probably the only one that thinks the limits should be 50 posts and 12 hours.

I would hope so...  Roll Eyes

Also amnesia would make this suck.

Good point. : D

And there is always the risk of keyloggers and the like.

I'm also curious about this.
