2941  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: May 21, 2014, 01:41:35 PM
Very nice development in the promotional signature campaign war. Another competitor who offers more? I like that. I will monitor this thread for further information. And I like how you promote less spamming by include max post count!

The largest campaigns that pay per post already have a max post count, it's only that in their rush to claim the "highest paying" title, no one can probably reach it. Grin

Hi fxo, let me know if you would still be interested in letting me advertise Smiley I have a lot of posts!

Indeed you do; unfortunately, the message that comes along with those posts is not one that most people trust, considering past history.
2942  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE MORE. UP TO 0.0014 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 21, 2014, 01:28:59 PM
@UpDown.bt There is a higher paying campaign on the block => FXO: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618870.0

Do u plan to raise your rates to be the highest paid on the board ?
Great question. Also, tomorrow is payday Grin

It's higher for a single post, but has a weekly 125 posts limit.

True, but not many people do more than 500 posts a month, I'd wager... Tongue so, it's effectively the highest paying campaign at the moment.
2943  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 21, 2014, 01:25:00 PM
I still think you have to wait a little for FXOpen to be considered, even UpDown.

It's not whether they pay out this month, it's whether they stick around a long time.

Well, FXOpen has weekly payments, so that should help mitigate the risk a bit. Also, you never know when a campaign might disappear; it can happen even to those more well established. What you do know however is that they are paying approximately 20% more.  Smiley
2944  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 21, 2014, 01:16:57 PM
FXOpen (Thread)
Payment period: Weekly
Minimum posts: 10 posts min per week
Payments: M: 0.0007 BTC per post, F: 0.0009 BTC per post, S: 0.0013 BTC per post, H: 0.0015 BTC per post. Max 125 posts per week.
Miscellaneous: Constructive posts only.
Thanks a lot! Checked it out, made a few adjustment and added it to the OP.

Perhaps you could also add the maximum number of participants allowed in the campaign, 30. I expect that if they pay out in the first week, the places will be taken pretty quickly.

Updated Smiley It looks like scarsbergholden and wasserman99 are owned by 1 person, just my thoughts

Hehe, two persons registered their bitcointalk account on the same day, and joined the same sig program on the same day Roll Eyes

Suspicious, but they could also just be friends or something like that... I guess only mods can see the IP address of users, right?
2946  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Poll] Should the minimum wage be raised? on: May 20, 2014, 05:39:31 PM
so what the idea of basic income and rise of wages? I believe that it's at least worth considering. Sooner or later we as a society will have to face the challenges created by the technological development and its effects on employment. Computerization, advancements in robotics and manufacturing and soon self-driving cars, the future is already here and jobs will be lost. It's true that the history teaches us that for every job lost due to a technological revolution thousands new are created but will it be the case this time as well? Basic income might just become a necessity to keep the economy from collapsing.
The Green Party have something similar to this in their manifsto, they're calling it a citizen's income:
Quote
A Citizen's Income sufficient to cover an individual's basic needs will be introduced, which will replace tax-free allowances and most social security benefits. A Citizen's Income is an unconditional, non-withdrawable income payable to each individual as a right of citizenship. It will not be subject to means testing and there will be no requirement to be either working or actively seeking work.

The Citizens' Income will eliminate the unemployment and poverty traps, as well as acting as a safety net to enable people to choose their own types and patterns of work. The Citizens' Income scheme will thus enable the welfare state to develop towards a welfare community, engaging people in personally satisfying and socially useful work.

When the Citizens' Income is introduced it is intended that nobody will be in a position that they will receive less through the scheme than they were entitled to under the previous benefits system. Children will be entitled to a reduced amount which will be payable to a parent or legal guardian. People with disabilities or special needs, and single parents will receive a supplement.

Initially, the housing benefit system will remain in place alongside the Citizens' Income and will be extended to cover contributions towards mortgage repayments. This will subsequently be reviewed to establish how housing benefit could be incorporated into the Citizen's Income, taking into account the differences in housing costs between different parts of the country and different types of housing.

That reminds me of the unconditional income the Swiss had proposed a few months ago, as well as an European initiative with the same intention that failed to gather enough signatures to move forward. Also, things like these have been tested before, as in for example Mincome, in Canada. Too bad no one ever bothered to continue looking at it.  Sad

The great majority of jobs are already in the services sector; considering many of those could be easily automated tomorrow if we wanted, I'm not sure it would be possible to re-train everyone for others tasks anytime soon. And even then, re-train them to do what exactly? Official youtube/facebook like giver? Or for that matter, forum poster?
2948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Poll] Should the minimum wage be raised? on: May 20, 2014, 04:18:09 PM
Sub poll:
How many libertarians and anarchists voted "yes"?

Whatever the result, the number would likely be higher if the poll values were realistic to being with... one might be libertarian/anarchist and still look to a gradual change in the system towards their ideal, even if just by freeing people from the misery they're in.
2949  Other / Off-topic / Re: Snowden poll on: May 20, 2014, 04:09:18 PM

All media propagates their own opinion inside it - no matter if you watch US, China,Russia, European or Afghanistan TV.  Some may be more obvious than others to the perceiver.
The west has programs like Operation Mockingbird, China/Russia and others have their own variant.

no!  west world full of multi-voice but countries such as china, north korea NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I'm probably wasting my time here, but I'll give it another go anyway...

This isn't a black and white issue: dictatorships only have state propaganda, and democracies have free press; it's more complicated than that. While in a totalitarian state the press is usually under direct control, in more open societies the press still has to respond to its owner's interests. That is to say, the press is restricted in its speech by the people that write the paychecks of those that work there. If they don't like what you're saying, they'll cut it out of the news, and if you insist on it you're fired.

There might appear to be freedom for discussion and different ideas going around in the mainstream media, but this is mainly in subjects that don't really affect the interests of the business owners; those with real power. That is not to say these exchanges aren't important, they are: so for example, you might see a lot of debate going around about gay rights. That's great, and it will affect the lives of many people, but ultimately it's meaningless to the "owners". Now look back at the reporting before the Iraq War we were talking about yesterday: where was the debate? There was none. The news were full of "Iraq has WMDs" and "they were responsible for 9/11" or some such nonsense, both of which were obvious lies.

To further illustrate this point, look at the cases of those that dared to speak against the establishment; you have multiple cases, just in this last decade if you want: Manning, jailed, tortured, held for an endless time before even getting the chance at a trial (nevermind a real trial); Assange and Wikileaks which despite in many respects being little different than the many other mainstream news organizations that printed the same stuff they did, they alone have been persecuted; the attacks on some journalists at the Associated Press; etc.. And even if you'd think they should be safe going through proper channels and reporting wrong doing to their superiors and stuff, the cases of Thomas Drake and William Binney for example show that those in power won't care, but will still hunt you down and shut you up first and foremost, in whatever way they deem convenient.

While I can understand the disgruntlement of the fast food workers who staged a one-day strike not that long ago, I've always kinda assumed that community colleges and government-backed student loans existed for a reason. If nothing else, go freelance. If enough people get out of the fast food industry, places like McDonalds will basically be forced to either pay their workers better or automate the job.

I don't think most people grow up dreaming of being a McDonald's employee; but life happens, and especially if you have a family to feed, you might not have that many options of where to work. Often times this is true even for people with college degrees, sadly enough. And needless to say that going freelance isn't always an option, and when possible can still be a huge risk.

one btc or $$$ or any other currency you need to clear out this bcoz we are confused totally about your question sarcasim

I don't think the minus before the one is accidental, so it's effectively meaningless; he's broke. Tongue

Hi, I was interested in joining your campaign. I noticed under the May payout section, you wrote:

Quote
The offer is limited to 80 participants

It is not clear to me (without reading the whole thread) how many participants there are. I assume from looking that the offer is still available?

Thanks. Smiley

It seems to be still available, but you can take a look at the list in the first post to find out for sure. Besides, I'm sure EvilPanda would just edit the post to state they had reached the limit if that was the case.

I'm not sure but if halfwits gathered in crowds would they not be dangerous?

Hence the crux of the question; if pairs of them form into fullwits, wouldn't they be safer to hang around?

Could you repeat it in english?

Can I really do that without breaking the thread again?
2955  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much cash do you carry? on: May 19, 2014, 05:18:29 PM
As with most people here, I usually have anywhere from 0 to €5 with me, and just use a card when I need stuff. There are very few places that don't accept them directly around here these days, and even for those that don't there are always ATMs at no more than a minute walk. It sucks to leave a trail for everything that you buy, where you buy it, at what time of day you do, etc.. but it's just far too practical.  Undecided
2956  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE MORE. UP TO 0.0014 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 19, 2014, 05:02:08 PM
For what it's worth, I want to point out that you shouldn't be doing these things anyways. Whether you're afraid of not being paid for them or not is irrelevant. Anything that isn't constructive in some way is spam and only works to degrade the entire forum experience.

And eventually get the person banned from the forum altogether, once the mods get tired of the spam; I don't know if they are still in "banning mode", but I wouldn't risk it.  Wink

I didn't refuse to answer your question, I only asked how it was relevant to any of this. As soon as you can provide a satisfactory answer, I'll answer your question.

And I'm sorry to say, but I suspect you mostly watch propaganda. I suggest you avoid mainstream media, because you're never going to learn anything about the outside world through it.

In democratic countries, medias are free and open. Only the authoritarian State media spread propaganda. Cool

I have many good friends from Arab world, eg. Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan etc.

I think I know much better what they think and i respect their thoughts because I know what freedom of speech is.

You avoided a direct answer from a simple question. It already shows there is  guilty conscience in your heart.

No need to answer my question, I knew what you thought.

Guilty conscience in my heart for 9/11? You knew what I thought? This is getting ridiculous; are you going to accuse me of having participated in the 9/11 attacks next? And as I said, I don't mind answering the question if it is in anyway relevant to what we were discussing; but instead, you seem to be using it to run away from my previous arguments. Are they that hard to answer honestly, or did you never thought about them and are desperately trying to evade them?

And "In democratic countries, medias are free and open"? "Only the authoritarian State media spread propaganda"? Now I hope you really are just joking; have you never heard of "Faux" News? One serious look at the mainstream media, in the US for example, will tell you how wrong you are. Please stop watching that stuff and use online sources for news...  Roll Eyes

Didn't that happen quite often in this thread?

It seems to but do not halfwits abound?

do you english?

Do you even dutch?

Do two halfwits make one fullwit?
2960  Other / Off-topic / Re: Snowden poll on: May 19, 2014, 03:57:06 PM
A long life and university degrees don't automatically translate to a wise person. And what does my feelings about 9/11 have to do with any of this?

you refused to answer my simple question, you are afraid of answering it. but you had told me the answer with your stupid question.

look, i often watch TV news , some Arab children carrying guns, burning United States flag  and so on ..

you said they are NOT educated to do so ??

I didn't refuse to answer your question, I only asked how it was relevant to any of this. As soon as you can provide a satisfactory answer, I'll answer your question.
