1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 21, 2015, 12:47:13 AM
I literally can't run far enough away from this bs.

What was the net hash on this when rewards were 400-300?

Disconnect yourself from the axiom of Coinmarketcap and decide whether you see value in the project.

Ok, let's say you're right about potential.

But still, what's gonna happen if you are not able to gather $1.2M. What if there's only $0.2? It's possible and you say nothing about it which means the crowdsale isn't planned well or you're hiding something.

It's simple. If we don't raise enough funds - if the community doesn't care to support our decentralized, open-source project - then we will have failed, and there will be no Synereo. Smiley

Let me save the suspense, there is no way you are going to raise anywhere near $1m usd at this point in time. Maybe a year ago when there was lots of stupid money flying around.

euh.. did someone actually read the whitepaper ?

Looks great until you start reading it.

You actually read the whole thing? and stayed awake? you deserve to be paid for this level of attention. Amps please, devs?
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: March 19, 2015, 07:42:23 PM
I asked Tobler in a pm whether you would be able to drop any fraction of a geocoin, he said yes. If this is true, one geocoin could be used for a large geocaching game.

more pig anus coin

if buy dump first pump or hold bag

What makes you sure it will have any pump? At this price it could easily go like SMAC, down into Satan's asshole from the opening gate.

While the team looks a lot better than the SMAC team, I'm not convinced the ico investors will do any better.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IC] InvestCoin - first coin with stock market in wallet | Loan system on: March 19, 2015, 05:09:12 PM
We live in Netherlands. We were in crypto world when bitcoin price was a few dollars. Our team has a stock market specialist who worked for almost 15 years. We are preparing escrow.

So what's the deal, are you going to use an escrow or try to do this without? If the latter I don't want to waste anymore time checking in.
1169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Buffett was right? on: March 19, 2015, 02:23:17 AM
Buffett is good at what he does, but his track record doesn't mean anything for things he doesn't know. For example, I wouldn't count on him giving good advice on how to play go (an ancient chinese board game). He obviously doesn't understand tech, or doesn't care to understand tech, making his opinions on this matter about as authoritative as your average Joe.

Even if bitcoin fails, his reasons are simply not correct. A lot of people don't understand this concept. You can have the wrong reasons but accidentally hit the right answer. It doesn't make you right, though.

So yes, bitcoin still has a lot of obstacles to overcome. But we should listen to people who actually did their research and critical thinking, rather than famous people.

"Buffet is good at what he does"
Don't you think that's just a tiny bit of an understatement?

Can we make this the new Geo logo - at least until we can get some distance from 10k sats?  Grin
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) NUCLEUS - LASER ENGINEERING (CROWDFUNDING) on: March 17, 2015, 11:37:04 PM
2 month ico period, $1m mkt cap price, vague indirect answers to questions regarding what is supposed to give nucleuscoins value once ico ends.
Think I'll pass on this one, but will be watching in case answers move from bs to reasonable.

Let's see what will the future bring.
Wish you good luck!

Thanks we are trying to bring crypto to the engineering industry. We greatly appreciate all the support.

How are you bringing crypto to the engineering industry exactly? you are asking for dollars, why aren't you seeking traditional investors, and what will give the Nucleuscoins value? I don't see any connection between what you supposedly are working on and cryptocurrency, other than you want us to send btc so you can immediately cash them out for dollars.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IC] InvestCoin - first coin with stock market in wallet | Loan system on: March 17, 2015, 12:08:26 AM
Escrow is not an option these days, if you aren't willing to pay for that you aren't for real.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is ethereum actually going to launch on the 20th and in what condition? on: March 16, 2015, 02:44:17 AM
Who knows if they will produce anything?

Quote
"Risk that the Ethereum Platform May Never be Completed or Released
Purchaser understands, that while the Ethereum Team will make reasonable efforts to complete the Ethereum software, it is possible that an official completed version of the Ethereum Platform may not be released and there may never be an operational Ethereum Platform."

Why do anything for 5 million bucks when you told everyone upfront nothing may be produced? I cannot believe people bought into this.

What's even harder to believe is people bought ethercoin at several times ether ico price. Buying from scammers who "promise" coins from original scam. Does it get any dumber than that?

Perhaps but we never know what goes on behind closed doors.  That Ethercoin never had much volume, AFAIK, and it could had been somebody buying up their own stuff and catching the occasional sucker now and then.

Ethercoin on Trex did a lot of volume, how much of it was real I have no idea.

I gave up and waited for the wife to get home, the first thing she suggested was to hold the control key down when you click the login tab and it worked - then I clicked register and i'm now registered. Hopefully this post helps others.

This is why I didn't buy the Twister ico, F'g Yobit. Thankfully alcurex exch is working fine, but we need to get this to C-cex as the next step anyway.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PLANETCOIN - SCRYPT - ParmaBTC(Escrow ICO) - LAUNCH 03/11 9PM CET on: March 12, 2015, 05:48:58 PM
I've tried 3 different computers and my phone on 4g with different browsers and they all do the same thing, nothing when I hit the registration or login tab. Wtf?!

If you want , i will register for you .
YOu can then change the pw and all
PM me with details Smiley
I don't think that will work because the login tab does nothing as well. Any ideas what I can try? this isn't an isolated problem, doing a search reveals lots of others complaining about the same thing. What I can't understand is why do these tabs work for some but not others?
I had no trouwbles at all, working smooth, sorry
What is supposed to happen when you click register or login tab, does a new window pop up or does it go to another screen?
