Why? Focus on getting your coin to usability, at some point volume will reach a critical mass and exchanges will add it. Focusing on more exchanges while your coin is still just a speculative vehicle just makes it look like your priorities are in the wrong place.

The guys who doubt that DRK will reach its previous peak make me laugh. Anonymous currency will be a multi billion dollar market in the not too distant future. There are hundreds of billions of dollars waiting on a solution for anonymity (though the vast majority are probably not even aware of crypto at this point). To think that a functional anonymous currency couldn't exceed a 70 million dollar market cap is ludicrous. Even funnier are the ones who doubt that anonymity is desirable at all. I mean how clueless do you have to be to hold such a view? It defies belief.

A lot of noise is made about this coin, especially on the Trollbox at Poloniex.
Poloniex just happens to be the place where people trade it.
In terms of whether it will be a success, I can only say it won't, or at least it won't last long into the future.
I have not seen a coin with more shills.
Plus, DRK captured the high-end of that particular market. Before anyone says DRK is not really anonymous, I would like to pre-empt you by saying most people don't care about anonymous transactions. BTC is pretty anonymous anyway. I used it for a year on SR, never got a problem, even when my last payment ended up in the hands of the authoirties when SR was jumped.
Maybe the owners of it watch a lot of James Bond, but for most people there is no reason to buy into something that carries such a risk. When you shill and shill and shill, then you tell me that your product is not really worth my time.
DRK provides enough privacy for 99.9% of people. If you're trying to fund a terrorist movement or buy weapons of mass destruction ( the cases where you would need "bulletproof" anonymity), no solution will ever be perfect. That's why I just don't understand who Monero is targeting. They won't get the privacy market, there will be tens of coins offering privacy by the time Monero achieves decent usability. The only reasons I can think of for wanting to cross the bridge from privacy to complete anonymity all involve breaking the law. So criminals? Dissidents in totalitarian countries? |

Daily volume is pretty much meaningless. Shitcoins often get to top 5 volume , for one or several days, then drop off, never to be seen again. Average volume over a month would be a more useful metric.

What surprises me is the lack of well organized scams in the anon field, given how easy it would be to make a bundle. I've seen a few short term scams, like concealcoin, but the real money would be the long con. I'd be wary of anything without a discussion of how their technology works.

You're intentionally creating a system where a small number of insiders get an advantage. I'm not saying you can't do it, just don't purport to call such a situation fair. No one forced you to use a crippled hash, a little bit of effort at the start could have prevented this.
