You'd have to be an idiot to use Zerocash, considering who funded the research.

Darkcoin will be implementing Cryptonote ring signatures in version 2, so Zerocash is practically pointless as long the Darkcoin team keeps working.
Why wait for darkcoin v2? I mean if its just copying stuff in bytecoin then you can already use that. Because it wasn't 80% premined on the dark web?

Is there any development going on for this coin?

That was actually one of the things I felt was holding it back. Good change.

Approximately 1 million coins per year, with that amount going down by 7% every year.

Can anybody answer me? i am asking again as nobody answered. Why does the title say first anonymous coin?? bytecoin was released in 2012 so that means dark is not the first
Besure to include some links with this, people will get confused with other not so liked Bytecoin. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.0Also, check out Monero. Yup, i have invested a lot in Monero, it will be 'the' coin On what basis would Monero be "the" coin? It's a Bytecoin clone. Its development is months behind DRK. By the time Monero becomes accessible to the average person, DRK will already have I2P, ring signatures, IP obfuscation as well as momentum. Also, there's the fact that Bytecoin/Monero/Cryptonote clones aren't perfect, read Anonymint's criticisms. If crypotonote isnt perfect than ask anonymint about dark, dark isnt in the league I am not comparing here but implementing ring signatures will take considerable change to the codebase and it hasnt been implemented on a protocol other than cryptonote yet, so its questionable We can see what people think once all the planned changes are implemented. Meanwhile, the market has clearly decided that Dark is better.

Is there an IPO? Does something have to be provided to get a share?

I just realized DRK's biggest troll (Cryptohunter) was the 5th post on this thread. What an idiot! If instead of trolling he had put a couple of bitcoin in, he could have been a millionaire. Now he spends his time taking out his anger on those who weren't so stupid. One of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Did someone approximatively calculate the annual interest rate of masternodes ?
Bumping the question Depends on how many there are.

If the bitcoin price increases significantly and there is a lot of merchant uptake of Nxt then it could increase a lot. Don't know about $1 though.
Litecoin reached $25 at its peak so dont see why NXT wont get to $1 Wrong litecoin hit $49 usd at it's peak , NXT won't hit a $100 because it's a crap coin. Litecoin will be over $100 by the end of 2014. Litecoin is a shitcoin. Its only claim to fame is being the first shitcoin.

If you think the tears are delicious now, wait till Evan finishes DRK V2.

Who are the developers for Bytecoin? Also the name sounds way to similar to Bitcoin. Almost like a parody.
|
|
|
Out of the Cryptonote coins, I'm inclined to go with BCN, because no one cares about premine outside of miners. .
No one cares? What if a few people own most of the worlds total wealth? We will be their puppets, so what? No one cares It's inconsequential as far as adoption goes. If BCN had a top notch developer, and Monero had a mediocre one, BCN's distribution wouldn't stop it from dominating. That being said, I don't know much about the developers involved in either project.

Seems like there's 3 coins using the exact same technology. Still uncertain which of these, if any will succeed. Out of the Cryptonote coins, I'm inclined to go with BCN, because no one cares about premine outside of miners. The coin that will win is the one with the best devs, that's all. I do think that DRK will win the anonymity battle. It has the momentum. Regardless of what technology another coin has, once DRK is established as the anonymous coin, it won't really matter.
DRK is anonymous? Since when? Since 2 weeks ago, for transactions of up to 10 DRK. The limit will be lifted in a couple weeks.

I hope Evan can work in IP obfuscation, as Anonymint suggested. Then it would be hard to challenge DRK in any foreseeable way.
