Whats with the big slide down on polinex are there other exchanges with MRO. Would this be a good chance to buy in now?
Remember that around 24k coins are being released per day. Absent significant developments over the next few weeks, the price will stagnate or even decline.

Do you guys think a smartphone wallet with darksend will be technically feasible?
An Android wallet is nearly finished, but I'm not sure about whether it incorporates Darksend.

It's been intermittently down today.

When can we expect to see libertysend?

Sorry chaps, I'm jumping ship  Grin

It'll be a riot to watch them struggle with implementation.

Risky investing is something with so many clones, and no first mover advantage. At this point it's naive to suggest that Monero will be "the" Cryptonote coin simply because it was the first Bytecoin clone.

actually, it is the only cryptonote coin that matters so far, and the best privacy of any crypto on the market.
And what makes you think that besides that fact that you're invested in it? A different clone could gather a better development team, and then surpass Monero. It's not something you can definitively say won't happen.
then that coin would definately not have first mover advantage compared to this coin. your concerns seem to be contorted to fit your argument. is this fud?
It's not first mover advantage if it's a carbon copy. "Well we cloned it first!" Sounds a bit trivial doesn't it ?
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: May 20, 2014, 01:34:49 PM
The only way to save this coin is to relaunch with a fair start for everyone. Of course, that won't happen because you're heavily vested.

You state " Skycoin transactions have higher privacy than Bitcoin transactions". I see you mention CoinJoin, but is that all as far as anonymity?

Yeah id throw in if there was a bounty to get the whitepaper professionally translated to other languages specifically mandarin. Can find someone on elance.com
We should really get on this. It's a tiny cost compared to the awareness that it will raise.

Do we have any translations of basic Darkcoin information in the works? Seems like it would be prudent to at least get a few of the major languages done sooner rather than later.

I see poorly translated pool information , but nothing telling people what DRK is or how it works.

1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [MRO] Monero logo contest - 300 MRO bounty on: May 20, 2014, 12:43:42 AM
The worth of 300 MRO skyrocketed (currently worth something like ~1.0-1.5 BTC vs. ~0.2-0.3 BTC yesterday). As a reference, we can currently buy about 30 professional designs from 99designs for $299 (~0.6 BTC). So at 300 MRO we have no incentive to pick a design from all your hard work here instead of just going to professionals.

Because of this price volatility, I'm going to change the bounty to be a constant value in BTC to be paid out in MRO. You are welcome to withdraw yourself from consideration if this is a problem, but I think this is agreeable (it's just economics and nothing has changed from before in terms of BTC/fiat value).
That's kind of a scummy thing to do ex post facto, just saying.

Tacotime are planning to work on this project full time? Are you balancing this work with your MC2 project? Do you have a day job that you have to dedicate time to?
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocash paper released on: May 19, 2014, 07:21:39 PM
You'd have to be an idiot to use Zerocash, considering who funded the research.

This^^, Zerocash has too many flaws. Rather use Darkcoin.

Zerocoin and Darkcoin have flaws.

Monero on the other hand...
Don't act like Monero doesn't have flaws. Refer to Anonymint's posts in the Monero thread.

lol AnonyMint again, he even said Bitcoin is flawed many times. Should we listen to him, abandon all crypto and back to use fiat ?

Bitcoin will become susceptible to attack if a quantum computer is ever invented.

Every coin is vulnerable to quantum computers.
Right. That doesn't mean we shouldn't use them, but it is something to be aware of.

"So we can see as it is currently structured, CryptoNote doesn't really support anonymity much.

Sorry to blow holes in your enthusiasm. Reality sucks if you haven't taken the time to do some serious work before launching."

1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [QCN] QuazarCoin | Privacy&Data protection | CPU only | Optimized miner on: May 19, 2014, 02:31:20 PM
What is the advantage of QCN, compared to BCN and MRO?
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Darkcoin release schedule / inflation rate? on: May 19, 2014, 02:27:49 PM
I believe Darkcoin is the only coin that uses inverted block rewards based on the current difficulty (the exact formula is in the Darkcoin announcement thread).

What you meant to type is, Darkcoin is one of the few coins that uses a coin emission method designed from the ground up to be a pyramid scheme.  The more hash you throw at it, the less coins come out, rewarding day 1 miners who got the 500 reward blocks even more.

Translation: I didn't invest so now I bitch about non-issues. Cry me a river.
