https://www.mtgox.com/

"A call center has been established to respond to all inquiries. The call center is planned to start on March 3, 2014. All inquiries to MtGox Co., Ltd. should be made to the following telephone number:

Telephone number   +81 3-4588-3921
Working hours    Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm (Japan time)"

I think that this phone will overheat... Smiley

they lose 500 million USD of bitcoin or some such.....

they have 35 million USD in assets

this is likely a voice msg system to inform (under bankruptcy law) how that share of 35 million in assets will be handled by the bankruptcy process..as to the
bitcoin that is not real fiat under Japanese law..so that will NOT be address imho...the usd paid as an exchange for services they can track etc for fraud on such
transactions imho but the actual 'worth' of the coin....the bankruptcy guys will not touch that again imho

and as a guy who was involved in a class action suit against Washington mutual who was involved in the meltdown of real estate that helped start the
great recession 2008 ..out if 500 million of loses there ...my share was $10.38c ...I got it like 6yrs later as an example (it is framed with the check as
a life lesson will someday go up in the bathroom)

this is just something they have to do cause they went bankrupt imho..it is not gonna do much to improve mtgox owners mood imho

(will be like adding gasoline to a fire imho)

Searing

Very good point. I know it's very hard for many people who has money in MTgox to accept the fact that they lost all their funds.
They accepted the risk when they "invested" in bitcoin, using mtgox. Any investment might be lost. There is always a risk.

"invest only what you can afford to lose"  it must be the adage for those who are using Bitcoin and the exchange services.

I don't understand the idea of that phone number! They owе me some bitcoin and a lot of fiat and they know it. What should I be asking them on that number?
-Ah, mt.gox, are you going to return my money or do I have to come to Japan?

Its pointless to me, am I missing something?

You will never get your money back. Move on...that's it.
2343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC China will be closed. All Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed. on: January 02, 2014, 07:02:16 PM
it's closed as I stated 3 weeks ago. Wink
2344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone else bought high? Worried? Still holding strong? (I bought in at $1080) on: December 18, 2013, 07:58:13 PM
I bought all my Bitcoins at $1050 on Coinbase.  A few days later the "China Announcement" was released, I was still awake at 4 am and saw the announcement 1 minute after it was released.  Knowing the value was going to plummet fast, I logged into Coinbase to sell my coins before they started dropping.  However, despite taking the money out of my bank account days prior, Coinbase hadn't actually given me my Bitcoins yet.  So all I could do is watch in horror as the price crashed from $1200 to $500 before Coinbase finally gave me the coins.

Since then I've tried to buy more coins at the bottom of the two latest crashes, but despite coming out of the same bank account as my 1st purchase, Coinbase keeps cancelling them for being "high risk".  *which is absurd, my credit score is over 800 and I've never cheated a single person out of $1 in my entire life*

Coinbase is the ultimate scam, as of last week they have cost me $4,000, and as of this week almost $8,000.  They've left a bitter taste in my mouth, I am about done over the whole Bitcoin craze.  I think at this point I'm going to hope they get back up to the $1,000 range, so I can sell and go do something else with my money.

What's the CoinBase bank?

FACTS:   Bitcoin China will be closed within 30 days.

Just exactly where does it say that they are closing in 30 days?

CIYAM, I said that .  I am the source  Smiley)

I came here with the news that BTC China will be down and here it is. It's down.

You said that I am bringing FUD while I told you that I am saying the truth and that you will see in 2-3 days.

Now, 2 days has passed and all I said was true. Next time, believe my words.

Do you want me to tell you who will be the next Bitcoin exchanger who will close its business? Smiley

Stay cool, it won't be before February. It's enough BTC china for now. Smiley

2346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin exchangers banned on: December 18, 2013, 04:28:48 AM
Btcchina is talking for regulators and asking for it.
http://paymentweek.com/2013-12-2-largest-bitcoin-exchange-btc-china-seeks-regulation-3772/

Why will be outlawed if they do the first step to be regulated?

Also, to be regulated in China its more easier than USA because only one regulation (not one for every state).

it's too late for BTC China. With or without license, the China gov has banned all the financial companies to deal with Bitcoin.

BTC China must close the business until January 30

That "giant", multi-millionaire company is closing in 30 days. Funny!  Smiley

Many people were thinking that nobody will touch BTC China but...surprise !
2347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC China will be closed. All Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed. on: December 18, 2013, 02:38:32 AM
it due to certain facts. Bitcoin is anonymous. That's why China doesn't like Bitcoin.

Also, this the main problem for this so called system(it's only a speculative game), it's anonymous.
2348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Class action lawsuit against Coinbase, inc on: December 18, 2013, 02:16:54 AM
What bank are they using?
2349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC China will be closed. All Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed. on: December 18, 2013, 01:58:59 AM
This is FUD - seems a lot of topics appearing from 0 activity newbies trying hard to keep pushing down the price.

Exactly what I thought.  People only do that if they are desperately in need to jump on the bitcoin train.
If this was true, bitcoin would be dropping a whole lot more. :/

I was the one who came with this info on this forum. This info is not FUD. It's a fact of life. Yesterday many people blaimed me that I don't have any proof. Now, everybody is talking about that. Smiley

BTC China will be closed within 30 days. The chineses will be able to withdrawn funds during this time.

I am not using Bitcoin at all. I don't even had a Bitcoin account so I don't care about rates  Smiley
2350  Economy / Economics / Re: Big news.Chinea central bank closed the internet transfer channel to market. on: December 17, 2013, 11:51:56 PM
Another FUD topic to try and push the price down - we already have at least 3 others.

If you bother to try it out yourself you'll find that btcchina is working fine (as has been pointed out in the other silly FUD topics).

(also interesting to note that these topics are mostly being created by "new accounts")

You should post facts not other "things".  Smiley

FACTS:   Bitcoin China will be closed within 30 days. They are not accepting funding by bank transfer.

See the funding/withdrawal options for BTC China:
In both screenshots, all the 3rd party payment companies have disappeared from Funding Options with the exception of Yeepay.

For the Withdrawal Options, only 5 options remain. all of them banks.

Both screenshots are from today. It is also mentioned in article that some guy attempted to fund an BTC China account via a Merchants Bank of China account, and was met with 'transaction errors'. i.e. it was not possible to deposit funds through this bank today, whereas it was possible a couple of days ago.

2352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin exchangers banned on: December 17, 2013, 09:43:01 PM
You cannot exchange in China if you are not regulated. BTC China is out of law as it is CoinBase in USA. They are not licensed. It is a matter of time until CoinBase will be closed by US Gov.

Also, Bitcoin is not regulated and this is the main issue. It is anonymous. You cannot deal with anonymous systems while you are financial licensed.
2353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC China will be closed. All Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed. on: December 17, 2013, 09:33:56 PM
To be honest, this outcome was foreseeable. The Chinese government would never stand for something they themselves didn't come up with.

VERY true! Smiley
2354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC China will be closed. All Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed. on: December 17, 2013, 08:56:50 PM
Crypto currencies will survive, the fight for freedom will never end.

what does have that with the exchangers from China? Smiley

We are talking about real things not fantasies.

The chinese are very resourceful, there are workarounds for every system. Those that hold wealth in crypto will find a way to open up the market place in one form or another. Others, like yourself, will panic and lose money in the process.

There are plenty of HYIPs already.
It is a speculative bubble. The people wants to earn money overnight. Otherwise, they will use other e-currencies. Why wouldn't you use a system who is backed of gold? There are a few regulated payment systems which are dealing in gold. You can sell, buy, send funds in gold and you won't face any delay, any problem with your bank when you want to send or to receive funds from a such company. Smiley
2355  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HELP!! Hacked using Blockchain.info! Someone sent my BTC AWAY! on: December 17, 2013, 08:46:30 PM
Hey BuryW, I m sorry for posting in multile threads, i was freaking out, just wanted to have maximun feedback as possible, i am stoping to do that. You are the person who is helping me more anyway with your analisys.

How do i check for Key loggers? Are those the guys that steal passwords that i type in my computer? If that was the case then it would mean that the coins were STOLEN right? But the coins remain there in this adress since the "hack"... then, i don't know. Do you know any coin following service? Or painting coin service (just to prepare in the case the coins will be sent away from there)

And if it was a bad PRNG who is to blame? I know the first one to blame is myself but if i can t do anything about, the least it will be for me a very expensive lesson, i have to learn what was the problem, where did i make a mistake. (i can see during our conversation some mistakes like, do not enablin 2FA, do not enabling IP Logging, Sending the coins to an already used adress, i didnt empty the whole wallet...)

I never did a backup of my blockchain.info wallet, started to do yesterday 1 hour before the hack-system fail.

The only way to someone get ahold of my wallet backups woud be through my e-mail, hotmail, but it is secure with a big password.

Thanks for your attention

Contact the Bitcoin central authority and report the stolen funds. Oh, I forgot, Bitcoin is not reversible and nobody can help you to recover your funds even your account was hacked. "Free Bitcoin", right? Smiley

How much influence does China really have on the BTC market?

World's largest Bitcoin exchange.   Wink

It will be like a Bitcoin "earthquake". The rate will go down very fast. China is a huge market for Bitcoin and banning the exchangers is like you will cut the wings to a bird.It will still live but... Smiley
2358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase fails to deliver funds on: December 17, 2013, 07:45:50 PM
On December 6th I sold 50 BTC, and was informed that I would recieve some $40560.50 in my bank account by 11 December.  This has not occurred.  I have emailed coinbase, tweeted to them, called the merchant services line, &c., for several days, to no avail.  As far as I can tell, they have simply walked with my BTC.

That's why they don't want to be regulated. A licensed company cannot do a such thing or they do but they can explain...
Now, you just have to pray... Smiley
2359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin exchangers banned on: December 17, 2013, 07:35:15 PM
All the Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed until January 30.

BTC China is forced to close its business after China gov clarifies that all financial companies including "exchangers" must stop accepting Bitcoin.

This is totally false. Sources are only related to third part payment processors. january 30 is only related to payment processors.

Third part payment processors have no influence in the future of exchanges. No problem with wire transfers have related
and some payment processors yet are working with exchanges, because they are linked to bank accounts.

Anyone really thinks that bussiness like btcchina or okcoin with millionary venture capital investments, are going to close??

You can see todays infos from okcoin

Funding account with RMB using your bank card through paygate Yeepay is for free without any fees and works fine. Until today they were using paygate Tenpay, today they switched to same as BTCChina.

Withdrawing RMB is possible only to your chinese bank account where you must enter your name and your bank account (no anonymous withdrawals), withdrawal fee is 1% of transfered amount, minimum 2RMB and minimum amount to withdraw is 100RMB.

OKCoin today followed BTCChina and introduced 0.3% transaction fee for your buy/sell orders and it's charging 0.0001BTC to withdraw BTC to different BTC address. At 1PM local time there is no lag on the market.

EDIT: Only official statement from OKcoin today:

https://www.okcoin.com/t-1005042.html

Yes, I see China closing all the bank accounts related to any millionaire or billionare. Who is BTC China for the chinese gov?  Nobody.

Are you joking or what? Smiley   We are talking about China.

I saw USA who seized MT Gox accounts too. China can do that without any problem.

China banned the financial companies to deal with Bitcoin. It is a fact.
The financial companies(banks, insurers, exchangrs etc) must stop accepting any Bitcoin business(to open accounts and so on).

Normally, all the exchangers from China must be licensed but they are not because they must follow strict rules after that.
Even the exchangers should not be licensed(let's take this way too), the banks will not allow them to keep their accounts because they are dealing with Bitcoin.

I am not interested what OKcoin or BTC China is saying. I am interested what the China gov is saying.  The China gov said "all the financial companies must closed their businesses related to Bitcoin".

the complete forum is full of noobs that predicts the end of bitcoin.

Yes, I am new on this forum so you may call me noob Smiley

I didn't say that Bitcoin will die. I am just saying that the Bitcoin chinese exchangers will be closed within 30 days.
