Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 20MB Fork

MP is a sensationalist and he likes drama and attention. In my view in business and in ecosystems there are no people, there are only ideas. Starting his article mentioning the person behind the idea is simply bad intended from the start. Right after that he starts praising MPEx which again has absolutely nothing related to the main idea and to the main subject of a bigger block size. After filling half of the article with useless nonsense about MPEx he reverts to a journalistic move in order to divert the attention from the subject which is to reveal something sensational and he chose to reveal that regular users will need 914TB of storage in order to pay for their coffee. I have already answered to this stupid and non-existing issue. We will develop a way of not needing that amount of storage for regular coffee buyers. Afterwards he starts pushing his view of the blockchain. For a decentralized thing people trying to limit things their way isn't so good. Gavin is only trying to not limit things and to have large open doors for everyone. Keeping a 1MB block limit is a bad intended and limiting move.In the end of the shit article MP closes with: If Bitcoin can't pay for its own security, it is best to find this out sooner rather than later. Bitcoin security will be insured by the services running on top of it and allowing services to run on top of Bitcoin by increasing the block size limit will definitely insure security no matter what. there are MANY other ALTCOINS who are not limited as BTC. why don't you use them ?

Is it not BTC about decentralisation, freedom, no globalization , no secrets?
lmao lay off teh pipe dude. welcome in the real world. it was an irony, dude. there is so much hypocrisy here. it's funny because the BTC users don't think about "Who is behind Bitstamp, Coinbase, Kraken, BTC-China, Ripple? " Answer "Roger Ver, Micky Malka, Erik Voorhees and another 2-3 people."

Will you be supporting any efforts to kill off the 1mb chain after the fork?
If the minority end up using the 1MB chain, it will become just another altcoin. To my knowledge Gavin doesn't actively engage in destroying altcoins that I'm aware of, unless others know different. Of course if the minority choose the 20MB, that will become the altcoin. I would do that if I were a developer like this "Gavin". I would create Bitcoin 2. what can be wrong in that? BTC should be like any other "currency". right? BTC 2 = other "virtual currency". it's like you will use USD and EURO

Try to think a little bit. Who is behind Bitstamp, Coinbase, Kraken, BTC-China, Ripple?
Take a look ! Roger Ver, Micky Malka, Erik Voorhees and another 2-3 people. Yes, these people control 90% from BTC
They funded all these exchange businesses so they control them meaning they control the whole BTC market

tell me how many genuine miners exist then. 2-3? or less? The answer will be probably like this: Here's a list of legitimate cloud mining services, which you'd already know if you bothered doing any research:
AMHash Bit-x Genesis Mining Hashnest KNC Cloud MegaMine
All except MegaMine are operated by or in partnership with the ASIC manufacturers. They're pretty much certain to carry on because new contracts will be created as new miners are created.
yes, they are very devoted to BTC these miners. they are mining for free or on loss

@ducatitalia , news about the situation ? Does he repay you or not ?
This is the latest communication from oscarftw from Jan 29: Gonna fix this soon. Having some difficulties will be closed tonight or tomorrow I guess
Hoping he comes through---Would be such a shame to ruin a senior level account over this small loan. I've offered to try and work something out to assist...awaiting his response.. Ok , I've left him a negative feedback ... that's very bad. I hope he will repay you. have you used his services? No, I didn't use his service. Ask also the other users , thanks for your post. how can you leave a feedback to someone's services you never used? how old are you? 17?

Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Do NOT Double your Bitcoins!
|
on: February 06, 2015, 03:17:21 PM

Have you considered putting money on a website that says "How to multiply your Bitcoins hundredfold in a day?" DON'T.
These websites are scams, and yes, there is a lot of them. Are they ALL hackers who found a flaw in Bitcoin? Hopefully not! And notice all these websites say the EXACT same thing, but with different domains and addresses.
Second, people have reported bad experiences with them.
Third, why would they even release this to the public? I mean, seriously, 0.9 BTC free in one DAY? Why not just use it for yourself?
Last but not least, (this probably supplies the most evidence) although the payouts displayed on the website differ, the blockchain payouts are ALL THE SAME, which means they probably pay to STOLEN MONEY to one of their partners in crime.
I also truly hope this IS a scam, or else this will crash the Bitcoin economy.
Agree that ponzies are scams. This thread should be pinned on gambling board so that hundreds of people don't loose their money. says the guy wth -8 trust who cares about a forum trust?

Bizarre that people use these exchanges as a bank account and then bitch when the funds are taken.
Would you trust a currency exchanger at the airport with your life savings? Of course not. You only use them to convert small amounts of fiat.
Same applies to exchanges. Only a fool would put keep large sums on deposit at those places.
there are SO many stupids. they are now crying because MTgox and others ran with their funds

contact the ones who sent you the letter. I think it's better to talk with them by phone. it's faster than email.
The notice clearly states that creditors with a foreign address should consult a lawyer familiar with US bankruptcy law. It also says that court staff cannot provide any legal advice. how much money do they own you?

I use it because it is better than other dedicated exchanges sometimes. I rather wonder why people used it to buy mining share, whose value is declining theoretically. why would you use an ex mining company for trading? cloud mining is dead from a long time...only the "players" still "invest"
