1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO: bitcoin is far ahead! Altcoins are distractions! on: February 25, 2015, 05:55:49 PM
Sure Bitcoin is and will be main cryptocurrency, i dont think lot of alts will survive in long run, maybe few with some fancy feature like anon or faster coins for small transactions when Bitcoin becomes big.

BTC is smaller and smaller.  aprox 200,000 unique BTC address are used per day. Part of these belong to the same owners(internal transfers). So, what is Bitcoin? Around of 100K users per day and a lot of media buzz Smiley
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Miner Aquifer Files for Bankruptcy on: February 25, 2015, 05:51:05 PM
No wonder they are bankrupting. I never heard anything about this company. Aquifer sure did not spend much money on promotion if they are unknown on the biggest bitcoin forum...

Why would they be? The mining is not about popularity. it's about how you can get free electricity and about selling BTC to USD Smiley

Only the cloud mining needs advertising.

The question still remains. How can the miners continue their work with the BTC price? Normally, 99% of them should close the biz. Make the calculations and you will see that I am right.
1503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Brawker.com $800 on: February 19, 2015, 07:27:42 PM
Hello,
Last week I joined brawker.com to buy some bitcoin. I purchased an $800 item for someone on the 8th January, his bitcoin went into escrow and he received his item on the 12th. He confirmed he received his item and the transaction closed.

However, the bitcoin remain in escrow. Both of us have been contacting Brawker about this and they claim it is a bug in their website that does not allow them to release the bitcoin to me. Despite admitting that their website is at fault, they refuse to take responsibility and to refund me my bitcoin. Brawker.com is either an elaborate scam that selectively targets new users or the staff there don't have a clue what they are doing.

So far the customer service has been atrocious. No apology has been made and despite acknowledging that it's their fault they claim no responsibility for the coins. Brawker is like a middleman who carries no responsibility, will not reply to your messages and who still takes a large fee based on their services (which in my case is 100%).

Brawker uses a multi-sig system so each transaction carries 3 keys (the buyer, the seller and Brawker) and only 2 keys are required to release funds. They claim that my key won't work despite me signing the transaction and getting a confirmation on my end. Even if this were true, they still hold the 2nd key which will release the bitcoin. So their whole story makes no sense. When I pointed out this fallacy in their explanation, they boasted about how they've processed 1,500 transactions and that I'm the only one who has failed (again not offering me bitcoin or compensation or even an apology). They are changing the goal posts in their argument and keep changing the topic with jargon such as "the issue could be hashes". Now they put the blame back on me and they are claiming that because I changed my password once, that I cannot get the bitcoin.

Even if this is an honest mistake by Brawker, they have not offered any refund and they are not helpful and they blame me for their fault. Brawker are acting very unprofessional. They are not offering my bitcoins. I am 1 week waiting for bitcoins which have already depleted in value massively.

Do not use Brawker unless you want to be scammed.

have you call them prior posting on this forum?
1504  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: February 19, 2015, 07:26:50 PM
Return my 14.09 btc, that's a huge bargain for you considering how much the price has dropped. The wait is getting ******* ridiculous

call him or pay him a visit Smiley
1505  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINOGRAPHIC IS A SCAMMER [CON-O-GRAPHIC] on: February 19, 2015, 07:24:47 PM
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20417.msg253384#msg253384

I wanted to post to address a couple of the issues raised and try my best to answer them;

1. We have not appointed a liquidator for the simple reason we cannot afford one.  We have posted a link so that anyone can request a wind-up order for our company. At that point a liquidator will be appointed. We have no liquidator information to post because there isn’t one as yet.

so you want us to pay to wind up your business?

2. We do have some stock but not as many as people think.  All we have in our hands are 1ltc coins.  The silver coins are being retained by the coin manufacture.  The coins we are holding will be given to a liquidator should one be appointed.  We also have a lot of boxes, holograms & proto-type coins as assets.

so what happened to the 45 bull, 29 chickun and 38 LA coins you emailed me about in Jan?i offered to buy them off you when you emailed me and said they were in stock? Did you sell them? Did you sell them to Charles Lee like you said you would? If so where are those funds?

3. We have shut everything down because we can no longer operate as a company and have exhausted all possibilities of trying to raise capital to make things right.  Neither the company nor I own a single Bitcoin or Litecoin
i am confused, where did all the coins people send you go? Let's be honest mark the only mold you had made was the 5BTC coin and that was finished before people sent you lots of funds.

4. Since we announced our problems we have not sold a single coin, we did not accept any orders that we knew we were not going to be able to fill.

Bullshit - Mark do you forget our conversations on the phone, the emails you sent, luckily I recorded them all -- you have been having problems since what November? Are you saying I didn't make payments at a time you knew you were not going to be able to fill - where did these coins go Mark. You may as well share this info here as you will have to share it in court - by the way I have requested judgement be made in person at the court so I can provide evidence in person and Mark there is a lot of it building up. EVERYONE who sent Mark funds after November please post below

5. Any monies received for pre-orders of the bitcoin collection were invested into the company and the production of those coins.  We paid for molds, dies, prototypes, boxes, holograms, competitions, designs, website, advertising, hosting, office costs, and internet as well as many other associated costs.  I personally invested much more of my own personal money into this project then was ever received in orders.

Mark, did you also not fail to pay your designer? You do realise you will have to evidence these costs referred to above in court, I am pretty sure the amount you have received in BTC and LTC a will exceed these. By the way your office in Western doesn't exist, neither of them do - one is a virtual office and the other next door to the gift shop well let's just say I spoke with the landlord and shop manager.

6. Support for our product was very low since the company started.  We have had no more then 30-40 customers since the company started last April.

7. We never kept any private key information.  Redeem your coins if you wish to or can’t trust that fact.

8. No fraud has taken place here.  Every penny received can be accounted for in costs.  We have all the paperwork and details for everything.  This is simply a case of a company running out of money and not selling enough products.

Who is Greg Manning? The mystery investor you mentioned was cutting ties with you in December? Did you use the funds to pay him back, you said it was around £8k he wanted so what happened to him, did you use customers funds to pay him his investment back? What about Delia? Either way Mark you are full of shit, I am obtaining their details soon and will speak to them direct.

9. I personally have no money.  My other business has also gone bust at the same time. I am struggling to put food on the table for my children.  You can DOX me (my information freely available on the net), sue me or visit my house.  It doesn’t change the fact that there is no money. I don’t own a house or any other assets personally.  If there was a way I could have sorted this out from my own money, I would have. I had/have no interest in ripping anyone off; I simply do not have any options open to me to resolve this.  Closing the company was my last point of action.

I look forward to discussing this in person at court, you have lied lied and lied continuously, but you clearly can not remember your lies, luckily I recorded all conversations and kept every email and PM from you

10. We are not hiding any Bitcoin or Litecoin.

Customers, if you sent Mark any funds after November please state below or PM me. It appears Mark is digging an even bigger whole for himself. Finally, when you login to www.coinographic.com, it states very clear that the company is in liquidation. This is a lie, and it is illegal to claim a company is in liquidation when you have not appointed an insolvency practitioner, this is classified as fraud. No IP has been appointed, Coinographic states this in order to scare away people from taking action. An IP costs anywhere from £5-10k on average

sounds OK.

I have deposited my bitcoins to http://ubitcoin.cf but unfortunately the website is down now and another is running with the same wallet address "1Man5tP18tLdk6UnU3FM6cdbwkhoPNCvPK" named http://ucrypto.cf. Another one also running with same logo named http://grow-bitcoin.in

1510  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Proof that MineThatCloud is a Ponzi on: February 18, 2015, 11:54:46 PM
(Ok I will have to do a suicidal face palm if I am wrong and they end up being a scam and will apologise to each person individually that I doubted, but yeah i'm gonna
trust them for now, more fool me you might say)

Quoted for posterity. I am 100% sure you will not receive full payouts for 1 year.

I've shown that by using the absolute best numbers possible, they're paying out $1000 for every $500 they bring in. It's not possible for them to stay in business. They will fold before you finish your contract.

You bought mining hashpower. You have never received a mined bitcoin from them. You received some of your own bitcoins back. You invested in a ponzi.

Those of us who've been in bitcoin for years have seen this happen time and time again. You will learn the hard way. For your sake I just hope your lesson wasn't too expensive. Unfortunately by feeding these scams you are enabling further scams. And that's bad for the bitcoin community. I hope you apologize profusely when you lose.

Quoted for posterity. we will like to return to this thread in a year and then you can appologise.

and actually its people like you that ruin this community by slandering legit services, people like you are why people are afraid to use bitcoin.

You profile claims you are a legendary member, more like a legendary idiot.

APOLOGIZE NOW

it's a common thing on forums , the word scam is used without brain.
1511  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: RAXE.IO on: February 18, 2015, 11:52:30 PM
at least, they reply. normally the OP should edit the title "scam"
1512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How 999dice.com is stealing your coins, and exactly why you won't believe me on: February 18, 2015, 11:50:45 PM
From my personal experience, when I started there I won as expected. Won some, lost some. Went up 10+ BTC, lost it. Went up 15 BTC, lost it, went down 10... went back to +15 or so... and thats when the insane losses started. And me, assuming it was provably fair, deposited more, to try and win back those losses. A few times.

If a site that is programmed to scam you by hiding the provably fair numbers just ripped off your first deposit, you wouldn't come back and refer others to the site.

If you won some, and the site appeared to play fair for a bit, to the point that you believed it WAS fair, it's a lot easier to take the rest of your coins, and probably have you deposit more, too.

All I know, and can state for sure is this:
New player, site seemed legit for a bit.
Then massive, uncontrollable losses happened.
Figure out whats going on, start requesting the hash with every roll.
After winning back 61 BTC by requesting the hash, I'm banned from the site.

Again, no, not any PROOF at all, but thats one hell of an odd coincidence isnt it?

call the website rep. Smiley
1513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMED BY A HERO MEMBER KRISHATNET on: February 18, 2015, 11:48:51 PM
hopefully you can get back up on your feet, $300 is a one weeks paycheck, so you can buy back bitcoin due the recent price drops.

OP is a scammer, he deserved it.Karma got him.

And OP has written arround 100k$ in bad checks...

any proof for that?

Here is a quote (but writes $40k in bad checks, must be more somewhere..) and there is more info on localbitcoin as he had done trades there, but not face to face just online ones.
Better get your refunds before he goes to Prison by the end of this month I promise you. HE deposited over $40,000 in Bad Checks. Most of them in grand larceny amounts. Deposited around 20 bad checks. San Quentin is really accommodating I hear. Karma hasn't died yet either. I strongly suggest you go to the post office to pick up the 2 Notice of Dishonored Check letters I sent you to your home address and pay the total amounts stated on both letters [over $4800]. You can alternatively face the consequences as well. Best of luck to you; it isn't too late yet either. Time is ticking however. You have until February 16th, 2015 to repay me.

he must be very stupid to do that...by using his name.
1514  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: February 18, 2015, 11:47:02 PM
printshop $305 CAD
justadude $300 USD
Shane Bellone 1 btc
All subtracted from $5744.65 USD is owed to me.

So your owed $5744.65 USD AFTER them 3 payments, or them 3 payments need to be deducted from the $5744.65 usd ?
The 3 payments need to be deducted from $5744.65 usd
Ok, and there is only 3 victims ?

only 3 Smiley
1515  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: seems TeraBox scammed me f4gs. on: February 18, 2015, 11:43:36 PM

Of course it's a ponzi. Good luck.

most of the members of his forums are playing in ponzies Smiley
1516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinurl - SCAM? on: February 18, 2015, 11:42:05 PM
Yes I am getting regular payment, still not matching the amount it is reporting I am earning though (as detailed above). Admin is apparently working on it but not heard anything for a week or so.

then why this question "scam"? Smiley
1517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LXC turned scam? on: February 18, 2015, 11:40:34 PM
LXC dev missing since Jan 29 without notice, he holds donations raised for code review. It is possible he is accumilating coins for his librex send release which was talked about by him as almost ready at beginning of Jan, although not likely as he just recently announced the failure of his planned Windows mobile staking wallet. So in short buyer beware if dev raises from dead and announces some kind of progress as this likely just to sell the accumilated coins from driving the price down with being absent from his/her thread.
bump

i don't think you will find "help" on a forum.

1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take the money and run is the Bitcoin way! on: February 18, 2015, 09:31:18 PM
I'm sorry, but with the amount of thefts and hacks this month alone, only regulation and compliance is the real way:

https://blog.gemini.com/welcome-to-gemini/

Basically we tried to it do it our way in our playground, but there's no one in charge to put anyone in timeout for the bad kid that continues to give all the good kids titty twisters and indian rope burns.

It's inevitable and indisputable, gotta regulate, yo!  Not sure how Decentralized Exchanges like Coinffeine or BitSquare will turn out, but doesn't look like they have the resources to compete with the scope and scale Gemini is going for.

Bitcoin is all about NON regulation, no GOV did you forget? Smiley

Things change.

Money is about government and banks and fiat, did you forget? (Takes a look at Greece, hmm maybe not)  Smiley

I know that very well but then Bitcoin is useless. Why would somone use Bitcoin when we have normal payment processors already? Smiley
Just to wait for an hour a transaction confirmation? don't think so
