3182  Economy / Speculation / Re: The flipist method on: January 11, 2012, 12:53:49 PM
ah yes I see, I'd forgotten that you weren't using leverage, that also could be a flip option for 1:1, 2.5, 5 or 10 x
3183  Economy / Speculation / Re: The flipist method on: January 11, 2012, 12:41:23 PM
The coin is bullish! First flip: 1 - act! 2nd flip: 1: buy!. So since I'm already long, I hold my position.

This leaves an unrealized net value of 103.85 USD currently.

shouldn't you be buying more that time, doubling your position or adding another $10 long or something

many thanks, yes I was going to suggest that too, an optical flashing red or green only option
3186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sleepless? Tired? No time for family? on: January 10, 2012, 10:34:13 PM
brilliant, donating tomorrow

I like the bull & bear sounds but it would be cool if one could customise or at least have options for a few others that were more subtile in case those become a bit too much when one has alarms set very close to the last price that go off a lot, many thanks for this app Jessi
3187  Economy / Speculation / Dyslexic trading & other follóns on: January 10, 2012, 12:33:15 PM
Yesterday I thought that some limit buy orders in the falling market would be a good thing to put in place, but being dyslexic & distracted from having builders in the house I went & confused quantity of Bitcoins for price, I couldn't work out what had happened when I looked afterwards as it seemed that my limit orders had all been immediately filled at a much higher price than I'd put them in for, at the current market buy price in fact, luckily no harm was done as my mistake made these into only small buy orders but it shocked me how easy it was to mess up & how grave that could possibly have been if I'd been using some other quantities & prices, anyway just curious about how others may have made similar slip ups for better or for worse

finally after about 2 days my Bitcoinica Mt.Gox $ withdrawal code was issued so I guess they've resolved their monthly limit issues now
3194  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgoxdead on: January 08, 2012, 07:33:36 PM
they've just started a one day public holiday in Japan, expect that they're all out of the office climbing Mt.Fuji under the full moon
3195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin trading at $6.66 - Another Sign of the Beast? on: January 08, 2012, 06:50:36 PM

3197  Economy / Speculation / Re: The flipist method on: January 08, 2012, 06:01:43 PM

3198  Economy / Speculation / Re: And today there is no buying on bitcoinica on: January 08, 2012, 05:02:44 PM
I wonder if there'll be a big move when it's fixed, the only thing is that with Goxxy being in Japan they're waking up around now to a public holiday so may be on short staff & later Monday it's also a public hols in Russia so maybe more rich ru's at home looking for some BTC action or vodka fuelled trading plus it's a full moon too  Tongue  gooôöòóoœøōõo looooôöòóoœøōõooooong (hold down the o key I just noticed gives this bunch of còól ōptions, nöt sure if that's this fôrum or my cømp, first time that I've seen it = neatõ)

3199  Economy / Speculation / Re: The flipist method on: January 08, 2012, 04:55:51 PM
yes this looks like the most obvious flaw of flip plan trading, I think you need a bias towards holding your position or adding to it rather than a 50/50 switch direction & also if you do get a switch signal to then place a limit order at the current price of the instant buy price if you're selling & for the current instant sell if you're buying
3200  Economy / Speculation / and now for something completely different on: January 08, 2012, 04:06:37 AM
yep, I must admit that I went heavenly (that was a Mac auto correct from heavily) long in again at around $7 rather than waiting for my more conservative limit buys to maybe get triggered later this month/year, gosh drunk trading again ftw, just transferred a bunch of BTC back to Bitcoinica for extra margin as I've really no clear idea at all of what I may have set myself up for there & basically now just need to not look at any sites or charts & blow off steam so for anyone else who would also like a break here are some comixs & stuff to take your mind off of all of that BTC things, feel free to add in if you like, as I shall do for about 10 mins before sleeeeeps ...
