lol, I & someone else I know have put in multiple CS reports in the past & never, ever received one single reply or solution to various & serious problems except for the auto responder, you're only hope imo is to catch Zhou's attention here on his thread & as it's public he does tend to address genuine issues once posted

Now that Bitcoin has P2SH / multisignature capability, one of the last remaining valid criticisms can be addressed.  Right now, those buying tickets are trusting that the operator will truly make the payout.

With M of N signing, the funds from ticket purchases can be swept into an escrow that would require two of three signatures.  So if there were say two additional trusted parties then there is no longer the risk of no payout say should bitlotto's operator become unavailable (as the two trusted parties could make the payout transaction to the winner), for instance.  At the same time the jackpot would more protected as to make any payout would then require signature from at least one of those trusted parties.

Though BIP 16 / escrow is technically possible now, the GUI clients are offering it yet so this isn't something that would be implemented anytime soon. But I wanted to see if this would be something BitLotto would consider down the road.

yes, I was wondering about this too today, if he had any plans to put a dead mans switch in place to pay out funds in the event of him being kidnapped by aliens from the future or something & to also hand on the Bitlotto infrastructure so that it keeps going

I assume that each month's lotto address private key is kept offline like in an Armoury wallet & was also wondering about how to make an annual El Gordo jackpot say with some sponsorship maybe

2774  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's called a correction (waveaddict's bitcoin charting subscription thread) on: March 31, 2012, 03:07:57 PM
hi guys, I've set up a chat room for regular members of waveaddict's charting subscription service for anyone who may be interested in discussing the charts & advise openly in a private virtual room, it can be found here:

http://www.chatzy.com/53133032409124

if you are on the list of members here & you'd like to drop in then please to PM me for the room's password or post here & I'll send it to you, if you're not on that list then please to ask WA to let me know that you're a member & I'll add you (unless you'd rather be anon - in which case pse to let me know)

note this is an unofficial WA room, though like my site he's welcome to take it over at any time or just drop in to use it if he wishes - I've emailed him the regular & admin P/Ws, also note that as I don't know who most of the premium service members are the contents of those emails should remain confidential for now

thanks to SkRRJyTC for the chatzy tip Smiley

lol some peeps are trying or pretending to frog march the price of Bitcoins up having put up a bid wall before the price fell to where the market had it heading (down < $4 for sure), never forget that probably 99% of Bitcoin demand is by speculators & speculators live in houses with no floors or ceilings, there's some small overlap from say The Silk Road & such like (that have an actual use for coins), maybe up to 5% of demand but a lot of that also being speculative due to the risk tolerance of them who dabble in those parts, anyway just my guess at the proportions for actual BTC demand atm, oh & 1% for legit uses perhaps too maybe atm - Bitcoin price is very sensitive to news being almost totally based on speculation, a USA ruling to make it illegal & hence an underground niche game would see speculators dump it like a race for the hot potato door = adios 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 where it may hang on for an on the ropes bell comeback

edit: what's been going on since the 26th is manipulation at it's finest, these peeps have just one objective in mind, to enrich themselves & that has to be at the expense of the sheeple - be careful how you're being herded towards the sheep dip & sheering pen guys

edit 2: PM from myself - i <3 sarcasm

2778  Economy / Gambling / Re: *[~BITLOTTO~]* April 4 draw over 155 BTC!!!! on: March 30, 2012, 07:22:25 PM
oops BW ty, I forgot the total on BE is -1% for the JP

I think it would be cool if you could commission some Casascius 1 BTC coins with your web site URL around the top www.bitlotto.com that people could use for promotional purposes, tips etc - I don't think that Casascius offers this service as yet but someone should suggest it to him as many companies may wish to have a run of promotional physical Bitcoins made (sometimes maybe on pre-order if that's the right word, so that the run isn't produced until enough people have pre-ordered the total quantity required to make it happen, if there weren't enough orders in by a given cut off date then they just get regular Cas coins, this could also work for limited edition coins) - also he would probably need to have his own web site https://www.casascius.com/ prominently shown first which I'm anyway surprised isn't on the coins atm as far as I can see, around the edge would be good too or a shorted version like http://goo.gl/ajbZb maybe

& this would make a nice round 100 bets coin with www.bitlotto.com URL around the top - great for those little client gifts & perks where you don't want compliance or the regulators to know just how generous you've been  Wink
2779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt Gox thinks it's the Fed. Freezes acc based on "tainted" coins. (unlocked now) on: March 30, 2012, 06:37:37 PM
very glad to hear that your coins have been liberated, I note that Mt. Gox didn't answer many of the questions posed in this thread, as in how many coins do they have locked down atm & how many if any have ever been sequestrated & returned to those who have claimed to have had their private keys stolen & most importantly what is their ongoing policy on this & how is it workable

in future I think that any coins Mt. Gox has on a black list as so called tainted, or freezes, should be regarded as having caught the gox, a nasty unpredictable & highly contagious disease not unlike the pox, often fatal to your coins or anonymity but as we have just seen can be subject to unexpected miraculous cures as well

remember folks, always check first with the bitcoin police & instantly quarantine any coins that they say may show early symptoms of the dreaded gox, ie totally unworkable so pse someone open another exchange or two with strong DKYC policies in force (Don't Know Your Client)
2780  Economy / Gambling / Re: *[~BITLOTTO~]* April 4 draw over 155 BTC!!!! on: March 30, 2012, 01:24:02 PM
I vote announce & start that any amount may be sent & what's not divisible by 0.25 coins (the last left over bit) goes in to the JP tip jar starting with next week's May lotto (to keep things simple this time, as we've already had the one major change this month to accept multiple 0.25 bets in one tx) & I confirm that I shall be seeding it with 100 coins on day 1 or sooner if bitlotto sends me the address beforehand which he said that he's going to do
Second.  The 1% rake is fantastic.  This will keep the rake the same but give bitlotto a bit more - either on purpose or by accident.

actually I meant for any over-payments portions to go to the pot as bitlotto said; it keeps the total received = jackpot, so nice & simple, but I'm cool with them going to bitlotto as a tip for vanity amount bets etc also

edit: jackpot now plenty enough for a BTF Lab's BitForce Single  Tongue
