how about after this cathartic learning experience you also change your martyr forum ID: guywhogotgoxed
to: guywhogotrapedforeternitybyspeculators
victim syndrome or what
PS - don't lock ur $ up, especially in volatile markets, if ur going to need them at short notice - lesson learned, move on
& as previous poster, I'm down atm probably about 100 times what you are & I blame no one & it's what I risk managed
for better or worse - just happens to be seems worse atm but that's par for the course, any cash that I may need access to
immediately doesn't get to go here

Fuck all of you dipshit motherfuckers who have the power to make my assets lose over 10% overnight. I never even had a fucking chance to sell. Problem is I need the cash right now, not the coins, and am forced to sell cheap.

I hope you get all raped in hell for eternity.

it was Bruce what done it & he's totally behind your punishing agenda too I'm sure

um, don't you check things out before parking your cash in them, Bitcoin is famous for it's volatility with price swings of 25 to 30% in very short time periods being the norm, if you have a need for your cash to not do this to you then perhaps you shouldn't be putting it in to Bitcoins, simple - US $ do a good job of just draining away slowly without daily 10% leaps & bounds up & down

Don't blame others for your lack of due diligence, it just compounds your failure, live & learn

lol at hoping the 'Fucktard bitch' you owe doesn't mind you being in default & running the tab on the gyrations of Bitcoin's wild chances of paying him back
3024  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: February 14, 2012, 09:23:58 PM
I've used them a lot & they certainly are convenient for UK Internet banking transfers when their UK banksters don't suddenly pull the rug out from under them that happens regularly & repeatedly, there are some amazing arb ops sometimes too, though I'm sad no-one has yet picked up my offer of 1,125 BTC @ £2.6999 = $4.2354 from earlier today (still live btw, if any Brits fancy a panic sell - wakey backie TSR users yes I'm lO_Oking @ you, please step up, ZOMG tomorrow all ur BTC will be worth nada)

As Paxum is out they do need to update all their account withdrawals/deposits pages to reflect this & also they never did let me know when I might be able to withdraw my GBP funds the same day as requested if I so required, just a lame notification on the page that these things will be handled if & when their bank Lloyds starts to process their Internet banking again if ever - sorry that is not good enough when you are effectively locking down thousands in client's funds & so it certainly is not what I'd call a professional service, but hey it's Bitcoinron world & I still loves them  Kiss  for what they've done & are trying to achieve for BTC  Smiley

I wouldn't bother posting here any more, it's been a week since I asked & Khoutong hasn't donated the promised $ of the OP so he's probaly abandoned this loss leader & is just concentrating on how best to tax those already invested with him by using 'swap' interest deducted from your account positions unless you leave him a bunch of US $ just sitting there

Request: if it's over & done with then please to close & lock up the post
3027  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoinica's Interest System on: February 13, 2012, 08:15:01 PM
very confused  Undecided

could someone make a formula to calculate this by inputting all the different fields of one's position

atm it looks to me like Zhoutong is going to tax you about 20% per annum for going long & reward you with 12.55% for shorting, I hope that I've got this wrong, that's assuming your margin deposit is in BTC which pays next to nothing

& edit: as he's offering 12.55% annual interest for parking US $ with him will this maybe result in a flood of them & what would be the likely repercussions of having so much spare $ on hand for perhaps people to then go long BTC with them, I think that KT is trying to be making the starfish an endangered species with this

<3 *

edit 2: a formula like this would be most welcome as atm I haven't a clue as to what he's just implemented to positions already open

the formulae for calculating the ZT price is:

entry field 1: Long / Short
entry field 2: Current Bid (changes to Ask if you've entered Short)
entry field 3: Net Value
entry field 4: Maintenance
entry field 5: Amount
entry field 6: BTC Balance

The calc then does the formulae:

F1 = Long
F2 - (F3 - F4) / (F5 + F6) = ZT

F1 = Short
F2 + (F3 - F4) / (F5 - F6) = ZT
3028  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: First Pirate Savings and Trust on: February 13, 2012, 10:51:04 AM

given your track record, i don't think anyone would refer you.

What's this all about?

yes, what exactly are you referring to chungenhung, it helps to be specific when you start bad mouthing people's reputation in public without any justification
3029  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: First Pirate Savings and Trust on: February 13, 2012, 01:58:42 AM
OK - I've asked the 2 largest borrowers that I lend to to refer me if they happen to be able to, but perhaps being borrowers predominately rather than lenders they may not be able to & those that borrow just to arb lend on to you wouldn't anyway, Current available space for the savings plan is: 275 BTC down from 350 BTC last time I checked but seems like the take up time isn't quite as fast as previously, it was an hour or 2 ago & normally peeps jump on these funding windows quicker, maybe the falling BTC price isn't helping atm

anyways, best as always

Otoh

Goomboo, out of all the prognosticators in the Speculation Forum, you're the only one I know that says things like

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." - Proverbs 1:7

verily I say unto ye that the TA prophets are upon us

actually in a non religious sense I do agree with both of those proverbs

& yes, I & those I've invested for are sitting on that unrealized prophet atm

We give Thanks!
O.

Glad to hear the markets are treating you well.

well I still have to reach my base price on Bitcoinica (it's close) though interestingly enough 5 days or 6 now I started a fund for a friend's sister's kid who just lost her father in a tragic accident very young, the BTC & money I paid in to that have done very well - basically it's private but once I ask & hopefully receive permission from her mom (who doesn't know about it yet) I will send you the link to it, I believe that it's not a coincidence putting energy & effort in to that disinterested venture prospered & I'm sure that you will find it of interst

I firmly believe that those who honestly seek wisdom will eventually end up on their knees before God and the Cross.

I beg to differ, if only for your definition of God as something one could ever be separate from (how silly) & personally i don't humble myself to instruments of torture however symbolic they may be

The person who wrote those words 3,000 years ago was really an interesting man.  He was the richest king in the world, had 1,000 women, an army of traders, a kingdom...basically anything you're passionate about, he had it.  He ended his days in depression and despair, however because he decided to pursue these things - wealth, women, fame - with all of his heart.

been there, done that

In his last passage of scripture, Solomon speaks the absolute truth about life:

"dood - I'm outa here"

actually in a non religious sense I do agree with both of those proverbs (say 'Lord' = Universe, eternal & infinite or that symbolism harmonious constant change of yin & yang, or any philosophy which isn't trapped in unresolved duality & for 'your' equating to the ego, the illusion of separation from the totality)

Hi Otoh,

Since you're an active lender on the forums, I'm wondering if you could give me a loan of a few hundred BTC on March the 1st, for 10% monthly interest.  I'd repay the loan in 30 days (Mar 31).  I've repaid three large loans (>$1000 value) already on this forum.

Thanks!
inau

many thanks for the offer but wouldn't you just then be lending them on to Pirate next time he opens a funding window so that I'll carry his risk but for a lower profit as you're the go between which means I carry a double risk from first Pirate & then from yourself, no offense & you're justified in doing this in the circumstances but I would rather wait for Pirate to invite me on board his brigandier himself which he prob won't bother to do in any hurry or at all if I supply him funds indirectly via you, please to excuse me if I have made incorrect assumptions re this & to let me know

good luck with your ventures  Wink

in the interests of openness, re restricting new accounts & how that plays out
3035  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: First Pirate Savings and Trust on: February 09, 2012, 02:22:36 PM
afaik there's no reliable way to ID 'bad' Bicoins or even just slightly naughty ones if peeps mix them up somewhat
3036  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: First Pirate Savings and Trust on: February 09, 2012, 10:25:54 AM
Hi,
you posted saying you are a great lender.
how much BTC you have?
We can start by you lending me some BTC, then if you are trustworthy, I will refer you to pirate.
Let me know.

thanks for the offer, but you don't mention your terms & what's this about "if you are trustworthy" - I'm offering to lend BTC not trying to borrow them so how exactly can I be untrustworthy, Pirate already knows that I've requested a new account & can give me one or not as he chooses but I'm not going to start jumping through a bunch of hoops with other forum members just to have the privilege - also posting this to the thread so he & others can see how it's working out or not
3037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intersango - Warning GBP withdrawls frozen, yet again on: February 09, 2012, 09:33:56 AM
Sorry you feel that way, but 3 days is totally usual for bank withdrawals in the UK. For example PokerStars takes 3-5 business days for withdrawals.

PokerStars take deposits by credit cards etc so obviously a completely different situation, Intersango say that they check several times a day for bank transfers - this implies that they also process withdrawals several times a day & these take under 2 hours to clear in the UK period, I can send them money & they receive it cleared to their bank account in under 2 hours & they can do the same - it's not exactly dificult & if they can't then they should let there customers know this, how long it will take & when it is finally done
3038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intersango - Warning GBP withdrawls frozen, yet again on: February 08, 2012, 11:24:49 PM
just checked & it's been sent & cleared, but only in the last very few hours & with no notification to me that this was happening (3 hours ago I checked & it was still stuck as before on being apparently 'possessing' at Intersango), so just 3 days too slow & without any updates that it had finally been fixed, if you think this is either acceptable or professional then sorry but I don't, I do actually like Intersango but this type of piss poor service can cause real hardship & losses, a bit more communication when they know that there's a problem would be the least to expect & I held off posting as long as I reasonably could, next time I'll post same day & update their total lack of response for the following 2 days & eventual lame response with no actual solution they send & will post for however long it takes to sort out
3039  Economy / Trading Discussion / Intersango - Warning GBP withdrawls frozen, yet again on: February 08, 2012, 10:54:09 PM
an open letter...

Patrick hi

over £5,000 of my money is effectively frozen on your site since last
Sunday, over 3 days ago now & you have given me no indication of when I may
have access to my funds again despite repeated requests

kindly inform me every single day from now on of the current status of this
fiasco & the expected date for the release of my funds

Many thanks

Otoh
3040  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Custom Made Wooden Mining Rig - 5870 - 1784MH/s - UK Only - £1000 on: February 07, 2012, 09:34:01 PM
bulanula - many thanks for your offer, if CYPER can't set it all up for me which I'm hoping that he can as normal customer service then I may well take you up on your offer, I installed Linux on my Mac so expect I should be able to do that if his comp has Windows or somthing for me to access the Internets with

CYPER - yep I understand you'll need to wait to see how the Auzies respond, re payment I can send £ by Internet banking to any UK bank account which is free but would have more security if we used BTC & it would be good to make the sale in BTC in any case. I saw here that one of the very old established forum members with very high post count & hopefully lots of OTC rep had offered to act as escrow anytime in these situations for free I think to facilitate BTC business, re my positive feedback on eBay I will PM you 2 of my accounts to see & also note that I have lent out 100 BTC to Deathandtaxes on 1/2 plus 250 BTC to Imsaguy on the 5/2 so expect that either one of those would be prepared to act as an escrow if I asked, perhaps also pirate@40 would too if he wasn't too busy plundering or whatever

I'm fine with it being disassembled for extra secure packing, if you can give very precise idiot proof instructions of how to put it back together again, like little coloured stickers on each part & where it plugs in to etc

np about deleting the HD but please to load it all up again with what's necessary to mine & point it to an account for me would be much appreciated

Before anything else I must say that I'll be away between 16th and 25th of February for my ski holiday, so I would suggest I send the rig after I come back, because if I send it now I won't be available if you need any help. Like I said I'm in no hurry to sell it, so it is up to you - if you want it now that is ok.

that's good for me as I'm also in no rush

About the bank payment - do you have a UK based bank account, because sending Euros to my UK account is not free, at least not on my side - the bank will probably charge me some fee (and I have bank accounts in 7 different banks  Grin)

yep, I have a few UK based main street bank accounts in GBP np, also if you liked Wells Fargo for US $ in the States, Dwolla too - I have € acnts but wouldn't use those to pay non € peeps, my preference is BTC then $ then £ - btw you trump me in UK bank acnts atm (care to sell me any of those, jk  Wink) - also I have more than enough at Intersango except that their withdrawl of £s to UK bank accounts is broken yet again atm

The idea of using a trusted forum member sounds good, but how does it work? You send him all the BTC, I send you the rig and after you receive it, he sends me the BTC?

yep, that seems the best way to go as we'll then both be trusting someone who has high rep here & can follow their advise on how best to do this, I hope that you checked out my glowing feedback on EBay - was just added $2,500 worth today I see

About the rig - I will make an HD video of the rig before taking it apart and comment in it how everything fits together. I think that is the best way and you won't have a problem putting it back together.

cool

I've spent some time deleting personal information on the HDD, so might leave it as it is. Will confirm that later on before finalising the sale.

better still  Smiley

I've contacted you on Skype Smiley

will check it out - was afk - thanks
