1521  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 14, 2019, 10:12:37 PM
What i think is , the only reason it was successful was because of Lightning network.

It actually enabled payments to be made in an instant and also , it's like Making payments with a credit or a debit card therefore it is actually very convenient and at the same time more and more wallets are now integrating it with their software.

I just hope more security would be added in the network.
It's not instant. As far as i know, lightning software still in the beta and not all of the nodes are using LN. LN will not solve the big problem of bitcoin with its scalability and i was feeling doubt about that. Maybe it can be even faster than before but i doubt if that will create an instant transaction for bitcoin in the future.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions: This bull market peak price and month it will occur on: May 14, 2019, 10:02:31 PM
That's unrealistic for now though it isn't wrong in aiming for the best. As for me, it's better to wait for Bitcoin to reach $20k first as it did last bull run. The market has just started recovering so we must not expect too much from it this early.
Why? didn't you watch what things will happen with bitcoin. More market accepts it, halving is ahead of us (probably next year), tether problem makes people are wanna converting their stable coin to the bitcoin and more to come. With a bunch of that good news and im sure if bitcoin can reach that price.
it looks like you are feeling pessimistic about bitcoin these days.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any projects with a real product? on: May 14, 2019, 09:52:38 PM
Hello everybody!

I found this project called Yanu that has a real product coming out soon and the project seems promising.
I haven't been so up-do-date with other crypto project, so I started wondering if there are any other crypto projects that have or will have a product in the future?

I bet for harmony and that has already created an interesting protocol that makes binance wanna accept it as the next IEO to launch in the binance launch pad. I never heard about yanu but it doesn't seem a good project. I thought that harmony will be more interesting compared with yanu. you can check it and this is my best recommendation for you.
That's a new platform but has already made a partnership with binance.

1525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where/Who are the best traders? on: May 13, 2019, 11:29:15 AM
I think the best traders are people who create something with their work and sell it that actually has real world use.

https://twitter.com/ThugLifeBlazer/status/1127742824806539265
Is that he called as the creator of the product rather than traders? I can't agree with it. Traders have a lot of meaning and you can't define that just only based on that opinion. When i try to sold e stuff to others and can't i be called a trader?
The trader will depend on what he means about that dude. anyone has a different opinion. When he called them all as farmers and i can they are all traders.
1526  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: May 13, 2019, 07:41:09 AM
The hackers seem to be one step ahead in technology because even the most considered secured exchange like binance is successfully hacked recently. Aside from high technology, hackers are always devising ways on how to hack their target successfully so exchanges should not also stop looking for effective solutions to prevent their systems being hacked.

The hacks not usually happen due to security flaws but it may also happen when insider cheat and leak the vital information to hackers due to that the hackers are able to hack the exchange. So we cannot always blame the technology flaws.

thats also what im thinking about . maybe the hacker is one of binance team and it was an inside job  ?  but luckily the hack was only small , it was only 7k btc based on what i read .  binance exchange are still in control of the situation   .  this is why i dont like to store my coins on an exchange , not even on an online wallet  .  anyway , lets hope that incident will not happen again because this causes alot of trauma to some .
We can always make presumptions that the site either being fully hacked or just an inside job.No one really knows until if theres some leakage about such informations

but for now we are sticking out on the situation that they are totally hacked.7000 btc isn't really a small thing no matter which angle we do try to see yet its 40M usd atm.
It might be 2% on Binance total possession but these exchange hacks do really trigger out panic on the market.

Yes, it's just a presumption that it could be an inside job. But I don't think that CZ will be benefiting if they lie to their customers.

It is 2% of their bitcoin holding's and that is still huge. It could be the hacks has triggered panic already, but the market bounce back immediately and it seems that this issue has been forgotten because we have a massive rally at this point.
But can we withdraw such amount automatically? i thought that to withdraw that amounts or even more than 1 million dollars and we will need direct contact with exchange site. It's a pre-assumption but it looks like true if there was something weird with binance. This looks so horrible for me personally.
There was a lot of impossible things that happened with the latest case that happened with binance.
1527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rises very fast! on: May 13, 2019, 07:30:06 AM
Bitcoin should have started to grow long ago, judging by the amount of positive news, so it’s not clear to me why the price increase did not start earlier. Now there is an opportunity to buy Bitcoin before it has soared to its price highs.
But the stable coin was preventing bitcoin to grow. this time people realized if stable coin is a crap thing. Remember the increase of bitcoin can't be created by the news but that needs a lot of support. This time the stable coin market has already fallen and the demand was moving towards bitcoin and that created the latest FOMO that gives a big pump to the bitcoin.

Buy when it was getting correction and always remember that.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of free crypto trading signals channels/bots telegram on: May 13, 2019, 07:21:20 AM
Hey!
I currently use this: http://elitecryptosignals.com/
It’s a Discord Group and with their signals you can make around 10% profit each day: https://discord.gg/sc6Me8g
There are free and premium signals too, and it’s a very friendly community.
They provide detailed technical analysis.
The premium signals are way more accurate and profitable, but even the free signals are okay.

Just another scam signal. And it looks like you have been created to spread that bullshit group around here. Anyone should not trust because anything related to the pump and dumps signal just another kind of scam.

The easiest way to get quick money is to create a crypto trading signal in any social media and the most foolish way to get burned and loose your fund for free is to follow any of their calls i.e join anyone. Someone that is given a call to hundreds of people have already purchased bunch of it, just go and buy, and it dumps on your head. Be wise guys
That's why we have called that as a scam because it has already organized to scam the new people that joined in that group. That's fully manipulated and we must throw it to the trash.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 12, 2019, 10:45:32 PM
You are too late to realize year of hacks. Hacking issue has begun since 2018 when several exchanges reported that their funds were stolen. I wish what just happened to Binance is the last of this issue. This year should be the time for Bitcoin to gain its positive trends and not about hacks anymore.
You were too late either for the exchange site hacking issue begun in the year 2013 with cex and the Binance will definitely not be the last issue if exchange site don't upgrade there cyber security. However, the only exchange which I have never hear any hack issue about it is coin base.

They must always try to update it anytime. The security measure is a thing that will need a lot of money to do that. Remember the fact that with a lot of money and that will be so difficult for some small exchange to cover it.
Binance never think if their security still has a bug and that's it
They must always try to see and watch the transaction in the exchange site to able to find the security breached related to the WD issue.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins can my computer mine? AMD A8-6410 on: May 12, 2019, 10:42:11 PM
There are many coin I would have suggest for you to mine, but it sems as if your PC processor is not that strong to handle the process you might want to increase the capacity or you buy minning rig. But for now you can start wirh minng Uplexa token their mining pool and earnings is encouraging. That should get you started for the time being
OP's pc processor is not recommended to be used to mine crypto right now. That only waste a lot of time and that will make OP needs to pay more. He can't even get a buck in a day. This time the recommended CPU to mine crypto at least ryzen. But it's still not too strong enough compared with the GPU. That's better to sell his CPU and try to convert it into the GPU. Even second-hand GPU is much better than it. https://www.miningbenchmark.net/cpus.php
that gives a lot of insight about the profitability of A8
agree with you. I'm not really good at Mining problems, but I think using a PC processor will only make you lose. right now, there are so many good coins to mine. maybe the suggestion above is very good. if you intend to mine, try to take risks. selling CPUs, and buying GPUs that support Mining will get better. even more so if you can make it in the form of a rig.
Especially when you have seen that the notebook that used by OP can be categorized as old version consider it has used a8 processor and i thought that used the build it GPU. Whatever coin that will be mine and that will never be profitable. An old GPU like 1060 much better than it.
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going up again. on: May 09, 2019, 11:02:04 PM
I recently noticed this dramatically change of price of bitcoin this 2019. It looks like bitcoin will mark another in the history of cryptocurrency. I think there's a lot of people who holds their btc now  and its very lucky for them. As the article said, there are two possibilities that might come up this 2019 and obviously it will rise up.

source of the article
Those are the old analysis of the price of bitcoin but the fidelity market may add more value to the bitcoin instantly caused by it has a very big volume. The market of bitcoin grows instantly right and as i predicted and i have bought a lot of bitcoin when it has reached the bottom. I glad to keep all of my bitcoin safe in my wallet.
$6500 looks real next month.
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I change the principle of profitability of the cryptocurrency market? on: May 09, 2019, 10:59:38 PM
Now the cryptocurrency market is built in such a way that we keep our cryptocurrency until we feel that it has reached a price peak, and then we rush to sell it immediately in order to make a profit,

Speculation is not necessarily a bad thing. Wherever you find something of value, there is speculation: fiat money, gold, commodities, etc. Greed is a part of our human nature. I agree, it would be nice if we could eliminate it and use the coins or tokens just for the purpose they have been created for. But the reality proves us otherwise.

We now see how very popular are ICO projects, such as Miracle Tele and others, which provide for such an opportunity. What do you think about this?

I've never heard of Miracle Tele before. On the website, they say they will share their monthly revenue with their token holders. Any idea where this revenue is coming from in the first place?

The Miracle Tele project has been there for a while but am yet to understand the real use of the project. A friend told me it's about telecommunication. He said something about being able to use the communication line anywhere in the world.
That's indeed and me too. it's very complicated when they aim to create an ico project. I have seen so many platforms are using that idea but they are all failing. Remember about bubble tone project and that builds a similar thing with what has already offered by miracle tele but it doesn't seem a good thing at all.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WeChat bans crypto transactions in its payment channels on: May 09, 2019, 10:49:52 PM
That just sucks. In the world where crypto is being adopted (slowly) there are still some companies that are still banning crypto.

But isn't WeChat a Chinese company's app and crypto is already banned over there?
Wechat owned by Tencent and that's not a big surprise if that company at the end of the story has decided to ban crypto. But it doesn't matter a lot and none use we chat to create any crypto transaction or crypto related activities. I don't care so much about that because china and its company around there are the FUDders since the beginning of crypto itself.
That will always do that.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: May 08, 2019, 10:47:16 PM
There are lot benefits in POS over POW, the first one being the cost of running. If genuine one is found, proof of stake will definitely yield more return in term of profit as compared to proof of work which is expensive to maintain based on the electricity required

That's right. POW is way more expensive to maintain that POS. It's better to just buy the coin in the market and stakes those in a wallet. Not only it's less hassle, you'll also helping the market grow. POS is the future in my opinion.
from the analysis of the POW or POS method, what will become number one seems to be POS and I think this method in the future will last a little longer than POW.
Not sure about that because if you are using one of them and that still has a chance to be a centralized system but POS is in demand right now consider about it's more conservative and fair to give a chance to the holders to get the benefits from the network rather than putting all of the POWER to the miners. Hybrid will be much preferable to be used by any platform in the future caused by it will create a stable ecosystem that will be decentralized. Both stakers and miners are securing the network at the same time.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elixxir (by David Chaum) - Fastest - Coming soon! on: May 08, 2019, 10:39:48 PM
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elixxir-betanet-soars-receives-350-160000423.html

Did everyone see that Elixxir had over 870 submission for its BetaNet from operators in more than 80 countries?

That's huge
I did.
Because this is a good one to bet and a lot of people are interesting to take apart on this one. I'm interested to participate but after i have seen the requirements and it looks very high spec to me personally. It may take a few bucks to rent cloud VPS that meets with that spec.
Ripple backed this one and that's why there was a lot of demand to become a part of elixxir.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE -HACKED on: May 08, 2019, 10:35:06 PM
Agreed, and it appears that the first decentralized SPV lite multiwallet will be released by a 3rd party to use with Block DX so that the full chains aren't needed to trade. That's going to be huge! I'm going to pick up some BLOCK to run a Service Node since all fees are distributed to nodes.

This will be a game changer for sure. Smiley
The fact that a few years ago there was a lot of people have been saying if that will become a game changer but this time it doesn't get even a lot of users. How it can be a new trend if the investors don't wanna move to the dex. A few times the hacked cases happened with dex and there is no one of that dex gets hacked on its how wallet. Most of them are getting hacked on its DNS or gets a similar phishing site.
Crypto users are still not yet ready for that.
1537  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far bitcoin will it go this time and why? on: May 07, 2019, 10:22:01 AM
The good/bad news makes it difficult to predict but a bottom at 10k is doable before the end of the year.Let the rise be 1k+ per month 15k is in sight.
But when the trend has turned into the bullish market and there will be some person that blindly bought more and more crypto without care about the news and 2017 can become the best example about that.
Bad or good news will give impact when there are some paying so much attention with it and started to create panic sell to the market.
This time bad news has already appeared and nothing happened with bitcoin. The latest news comes from bitfinex and tether gets a problem with US prosecutors.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes hodlers make on: May 07, 2019, 10:17:49 AM
btc has mooned a little bit, and suddenly we have self claimed analyzers almost everywhere claiming bitcoin is going to 10,000$ in May itself , small time now and a little bearish they will moan again,

the time they suppose make small profit from the greens; they are busy forecasting

Note: Taking your profit does not mean selling your entire portfolio; it means taking profit; retaining your capital
You can always buy back the low

But it's not true at all. that will work when you are wanna saving your portfolios and try to make some profits from there. i have sold all of my bitcoin when it was 20k and then buy back bitcoin when it gets decreased to the 3k rate. in fact, that depends on the condition of the market. Sometimes you just sell some of your portfolios to avoid the bearish market or the next bull when you can't hit your bottom rate to create a buyback.
There was a lot of reasons for that. but that should be the main reason why reason tries to anticipate the market by selling some of his portfolios.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you are GPU only miners? on: May 07, 2019, 10:13:03 AM
How many of you are GPU only miners?  I have 75 GPUS running for 2 years with 4.2 kwh electricity and the GPUS are consistent making money and paid the themselves off 18 months ago.  I'm planning on slowly expanding but I don't see any reason to buy ASICs, the ASICs I've had have been 50/50 profitable.  With GPUs they also have high resale value if you want to close up shop and liquidate everything.

Have always been a GPU minner and it serves me perfectly, a friend of mine thought he would advance by going for ASICs and funny enough he is back to GPU
gpus are better overall, they can also be used to do several other things like rendering, training ai or machine learning etc. not just mining like with asics. i would choose gpus over asics anytime.
Did you know that? that's why asic mining is more profitable than GPU mining right now. ASIC has been focusing its advantage to create an effective and efficiency for mining purpose and with only an asic mining rig and we can earn some pennies. Basically, who has used GPU and make it as his mining rig will always try to put all of the performance of its GPU to mining altcoin.
I guess he was using another GPU to do another job like what you have been mentioned in your thread.
