1021  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: December 12, 2020, 04:56:51 PM
Now that there is already a vaccine , could it be the end of covid- 19 virus? How are you after one year of covid-19 pandemic?

I'm just glad that I still have my work even if it pays only enough. I admire those who lose their job but still find a way to earn for their family. They are very resourceful and know other ways to earn beside their chosen profession. Even if there's a vaccine we can't guarantee that covid will be gone and won't return. Only few people are vaccinated so we can't assure that those are effective and won't cause some bad side effects to our body.
Vaccine gonna be distributed across the world and corona will be gone gradually and ofcourse that's gonna take some time to happen. The effectiveness itelf is already tested but we don't know for sure but country with weak economy gonna suffer a lot in the upcoming years.
Also, once covid gone jobs opening will be massive I guess the problem about unemployment gonna solve itself when corona just gone.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden Explores Moving to a Digital Currency on: December 12, 2020, 08:34:36 AM
Blockchain really is a breakthrough of this decade. So many governments and corporations implementing it within their system. Can't wait to see how blockchain grows in the next few years considering in a decade it's already impactful in effort to disrupt our traditional economy.
Whether it's just for testing, they atleast spend time digging through the benefit of blockchain better than nothing I guess. Moreover, these government just gonna create stablecoin-like digital currency which I assume will not be harmful for those decentralized coins.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: December 12, 2020, 04:08:32 AM
In now days too much Altcoin Project are Launching one by one and all of them claim that invest in his project because we will be successful in upcoming days but in the end they run away and make a scam. They don't woory about people fund and stole them.
So how we can trust on altcoin to give us profit after investment. Because most of them become Scam and Scam. All of them has one Aim how to stole too much fund .
So how we make altcoin investment safe ?
Not all new projects are scam my friend, even today if you carefully select a quality new project you still have good chances of the proje t being successful later and your investment growing multifold. But yes there are risks involved that should be carefully assessed before investing.
Guess that guy never knew that scamming doesn't happen only inc cryptocurrency communities, try to look for startups business most of them are either a failure or scam. It's just happening everywhere and not only in crypto market alone.
heck, even stocks aren't guaranteed to be scam free. So many manipulation happening under the hood. It's just how investment business is, so many people trying to steal our money. but there's some projects that are really good in quality if you take a look at it deeper and more cautiously.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about USDT? on: December 11, 2020, 02:03:50 PM
It seems majority of people don't even care about it though, although so many rumours going around about USDT printing this coin like there's no tomorrow but as we can see it's the biggest stablecoin and most used one.

my guess is USDT just gonna stay strong as ever until it's proven that their pegged money isn't 1:1 in ratio to their USDT otherwise it's just merely a rumour with no reasoning at all. Not to mention that the excahnges which accept USDT not just sitting around when they heard about such rumour. They must've made some investigation.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is about wake up as sleeping Dragon on: December 11, 2020, 09:24:57 AM
Waking up as sleeping dragon is honestly the last thing I'd expect from litecoin where it's already stagnant for too long and there's just no innovation coming out from litecoin anymore.

It's already good at this current price point right now for bitcoin's alternative to send money for those who hate XRP and ETH with relatively cheap fee but honestly if there's any upcoming pump in the future, other coin deserves it more than litecoin.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: December 10, 2020, 10:58:15 PM
Wait until polkadot has as many project as ethereum and including dexes then we'll talk about this topic again. When the market cap gap is still 15 times apart there's just no point of talking whether polkadot gonna kill ethereum or not.
Polkadot's main concern is to make that platform home to many newly created projects becasue that's the only way to boost the demand for polkadot otherwise just forget it. Ethereum has too much project relies on its blockchain at this point and that's gonna be difficult thing to beat.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 19-Year-Old Ukrainian Politician Owns 185,000 Monero (XMR), Bought In 2015 on: December 10, 2020, 03:45:42 PM
Dang, he's got the jackpot I guess. Not everyone at that young age have the opportunity to spend thousands for a crypto with a lot of uncertainty. Though, I wonder why he bought monero in the first place as it's very anonymous coin and his parents are from parliament but that's not my business I guess.

So as the title said that he's 19 year old politician does that mean he's already in politic or what? Also I wonder how he report taxes from all that money he hold, not that I understand how Ukraine government works.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 10, 2020, 09:42:30 AM
As far as I know blockchain system still stucks on scalability. Popular coin like BTC and ETH struggling a lot when there's overflow of transactions and that's already a proof. Can't imagine if the entire world sending transaction at the same time, the fee gonna be whooping high despite ethereum 2.0's sharding.

It's still lacking and insufficient to replace the current centralized traditional money but as the time goes it's gonna be capable. It's just matter of time really and I disagree that it gonna be One World Digital Currency or whatever it is, I can't see it happening.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Private Anonymous StableCoin ? on: December 09, 2020, 04:27:00 PM
Can't imagine a stablecoin being anonymous. Yes your transaction might be untraced due to the anonymous nature but everything is actually saved up on the blockchain and the company that owns that stablecoin could be an easy target by the government to reveal all the information regarding their specific customers.

Stablecoin and anonymous just doesn't sit well in one sentence.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: December 09, 2020, 02:53:36 PM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...
I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.
Thats quite strange you didn't include uniswap in the list - the only dex exchange that actually beated binance once and still remains in top10 of exchanges overall both cex and dex.
Its only a matter of time before dex takes over the market
The thing about uniswap is that it only good for erc20 tokens within ethereum blockchain and unlike centralized exchange which usually accepts coin other than ethereum and the tokens within ethereum blockchain uniswap only limited to eth tokens.
The platform is good indeed but it needs more than just eth tokens for it to compete against massive exchange like binance which offers convenience and any other typical centralized exchange features.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Apple co-founder and Blockchain Project on: December 09, 2020, 10:34:12 AM
I guess it pretty much has nothing to do with Apple. It's just this coin coming out from Apple co-founder which definitely gonna boost its popularity but means nothing to the whole crypto market anyway.

Steve Wozniak also said that this token acts as shares of stock or more or less like that. But, I guess people not buying it because of the premise as environmental blockchain project but instead because of it coming out from apple co-founder
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people understand what market cap is? on: December 09, 2020, 07:54:01 AM
Well market cap in crypto is as simple as mutiplying total supply of a coin with its price. That's without taking into account all the lost coins that was wrongfully sent to address without owners and many more.

market cap is probably not accurate way to measure how big a coin market is but atleast that's what we got right now.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the current Bull run stop on: December 08, 2020, 04:09:17 PM
Now many inexperienced people experience Fomo and think that this bull run will last forever, or at least for a long time. But from the beginning of next year, you need to be very careful and be sure to set stop-loss, as the market may collapse.
It seems you have not experienced with the last big bullrun of crypto and the bullrun will be last forever. As long as there will be more big entities tried to join in crypto and the bullrun will always continue but otherwise, when people will be thinking if there will be no something new in crypto and they will be starting to take the profit from the market.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot can take place of Ethereum? on: December 07, 2020, 03:19:03 PM
All that quirks and features goes to waste if no one using it. Although polkadot market cap can be considered big but to take the place of ethereum it needs the acceptance ethereum has to the point where using erc20 is the norm among many new projects which Polkadot has yet to achieve that.

However, if there's any rival to ethereum I think it's not xrp but polkadot but that's just my opinion
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you trust the Code or Human? on: December 07, 2020, 09:59:41 AM
The code part belongs to DEX right? But isn't DEX built by humans? What code are we talking about? There is no difference between centralized and decentralized exchanges because they are both managed by humans and they can both be tampered with in any way possible, do not be deceived by decentralized
The difference sometimes DEX being open source meaning they could be inspected or reviewed by many open source community but doesn't necessarily means decentralized exchange is safer than CEX.

However, DEX usually runs automatically without the need of human intervention but some of modern exchange are automatic aswell but with exception that some transaction may undergo human review. It all depends on how we see it tho.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: December 06, 2020, 11:36:21 PM
Seen ethereum in the top 3 the only thing that is close to overtaking ethereum would be ripple at the moment they are banging the top 3 spots with bitcoin, we all know bitcoin is here to stay in the top 1, if you ever read the news or the coinmarketcap list of top coins there is one-time ripple gain top 2 but it was just very brief stay, and ethereum just get it back after just like a day or hours if I'm not mistaken, so ripple is my 1st candidate for that.
Ripple is not really new though but it's true that it's the most realistic candidate so far despite many people accusing it of pseudo-decentralization.
But, being ripple supported by many of its partners which is not some measly company but banks, I'm not surprised if someday it's gonna break through 2nd place for a long time meanwhile ETH creating its own foundation by all the projects using their blockchain.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: December 06, 2020, 05:25:13 PM
Because most major trends in the crypto market have to rely on the Ethereum blockchain. From ICO to Defi, NFT, most of them are tokens and projects launched on this blockchain. With such a large number of projects, ETH will remain the top 1 altcoin for a long time.
It is true, ETH will not easily collapse and be displaced by others, because many project developers are using the platform from ETH to create new tokens, from here everyone can see that ETH enthusiasts are very smart and big people.
The decentralized exchanges and the like of Uniswap really help ethereum gaining a lot of projects to make ERC20 token therefore if ETH collapse means those project collapsing also which not realistic at this point since many of them has huge market cap.

Ethereum is like having its own safety net by grabbing all these projects altogether bringing traffic to ETH network it's actually very resilient.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions about Ethereum and ETH2.0 on: December 06, 2020, 08:36:18 AM
Implementing ETH 2.0 is not as easy as flipping burgers. It takes time and there's no guarantee that the high gas will be fixed aswell(though they said gonna increase network bandwith by sharding). However, right now as I'm posting my post here the gas fee already decreased compared to it was before. I could say that we got the improvement even before ETH 2.0 fully implemented. You can foresee the future that ETH 2.0 gonna resolve our gas problem though if another wave of massive traffic comes again with even larger scale it might  be clogged again.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 05, 2020, 02:51:28 PM
if there is an airdrop link and they require to send a fee to be able to withdraw it I think that the "scam drops" airdrop does not charge the slightest and if indeed the airdrop is not a scam, the token has value in the market and that is clear.
Usually an airdrop will just distribute the token without any excuse like that. To be frank, any airdrop that demands ethereum for "transaction fee" is those airdrop from somewhat broke project that's gonna end up worthless.

Most of the airdrop that are huge success as I've seen just give the token right away to the airdrop participant without any such lame excuses.
1040  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another malicious browser extension is advertised on Google search on: December 05, 2020, 08:53:14 AM
Maybe we really need browser that focuses on security and disregard any of these unnecessary extension? In the past there's an extension that automatically swap our crypto address everytime we pastes our address into address input in an online wallet and now it's phishing site.

It seems our browser just aren't safe anymore although only some people gonna make mistake installing everything that's on internet.
