1301  Other / Meta / Re: Is it only me? Clouldflare on: December 29, 2022, 10:39:27 PM
One problem with anti-bot checks, such as those provided by Cloudflare, is that they can be intrusive and disrupt the browsing experience for users. This can be especially problematic for users that are on older devices or on a slow connection. It is understandable that websites want to protect themselves from bot attacks, but it is also important to consider the user experience for legitimate visitors. So I think it may be helpful for administrators to review and optimize their anti-bot measures to minimize the impact on users.

You're right, it's never too late to keep starting over after all the spending he's spent on. Because celebrations to seek pleasure need to be done but with sufficient portions. If it's already done, let it pass, and in the future what needs to be done is to always control finances by minimizing waste. There are still many holidays to come, if you only spend them for one day it will be quite difficult to manage your finances the next day.

I agree. It is always a good idea to keep an eye on our finances, especially during the holiday season when it's so easy to get carried away with all the celebrations and gift-giving. I do not know about you, but I find that the holidays are a time when my spending can get out of control. There are parties and events to attend, gifts to buy and wrap, food to prepare and share, and it is very easy to go over budget! But as you pointed out, moderation is key. After all, there are plenty more holidays to come, and we do not want to start the new year feeling financially stressed.
1303  Other / Meta / Re: This forum will need explicit rules on the use of AI. on: December 29, 2022, 08:44:34 PM
It all depends on how and where the AI-generated content is being used. If you are posting AI-generated content and pretending it is your own original work, then you are committing plagiarism. Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's work as your own without proper attribution. But, if you are using AI as a tool to help you develop and improve your own original text, then I do not think it is considered plagiarism. For example, Google Translate is an example of AI-generated content, and grammar checkers like Grammarly rely on AI to generate content. It is hard to make a clear distinction between these modern tools and define what is allowed in the forum and what is not in a clear-cut manner.
1304  Other / Meta / Re: Undo and Redo Symbols on the Standard Tools Bar in BTT on: December 29, 2022, 08:14:56 PM
Base on the Subject, I have lost words, phrases, Clauses and sentences because I have not seen undo sign to reverse back the lost typographs or words. So I am trying to know if there is any symbol or tool for me to click to bring back the lost words. Specifically for phone. Because for laptop or desktop, You can press Ctrl + Z to bring back the mistakenly deleted words on the typing interface of bitcointalk but for phone, I have not seen such features, probably I don't know where it is, so if you know it, show it to me.

The ability to undo actions is a feature that is specific to individual applications, rather than being a part of the operating system itself. In Windows (or other desktop operating systems), the Ctrl-z keyboard shortcut is a common way to invoke the undo function, but this can vary depending on the specific app or website you are using.

Sometimes it pains me when I suffered to type a very good thread and mistakenly refreshed the page, or clicked delete and everything that I have suffered to type were wipeout. With the anger in me I left the topic.

Let bring this feature  to the tools bar in the typing interface.

Use the Preview function instead. Every time you use the preview function, a copy of your post will be saved to your draft folder, which you can access here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts
1305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: withdrawing bitcoin - newbie - advice welcome on: December 29, 2022, 07:43:39 PM
Stalker - so, what youve said, seems ok...'they' send my the bitcoin.

SO...once..i have that in my 'desktop' wallet...its there...it cannot be taken off me by casino etc?    casino part is done..they correctly paid me the bitcoin ( assuming no high hidden charges for privledge ).

Yes. Once you have bitcoin in your wallet, it is yours  to spend or transfer as you see fit, and no one can take it away from you. There are some fringe cases where hackers or malware attacks can potentially gain access to your wallet, but I don't want to go into too much detail here. The most important thing is that you keep your private keys or backup seed phrases for your wallet secured from unwanted access.

Quote
So, this casino is in Euro...paying on mastercard transfers via dollers or whatever - to be honest - conversation rate -  Yen anyone!

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say here.

Quote
SO...once i have bitcoin in my wallet....i can then shop around / or look for a way to then get it into my bank account.

Yes. Once you have bitcoin in your wallet, you can use it to buy products and services from any company that accepts the cryptocurrency, or you can send it to a bitcoin exchange like Coinbase or Binance and then withdraw fiat currency into your bank account. Most bitcoin exchanges are only available in certain countries, so check to see if yours is supported before opening an account with them.

Quote
For example Danska bank do not deal with bitcoin ( in the headline blurb at least ) , does my 'wallet' transfer that across?

Bitcoin is a decentralized system, so your wallet does not rely on any central banks or government institutions. That means your bitcoins are yours, and only yours, to spend as you like!

Quote
Worse case i lose what..well..is mine...but give it a go?  dip toe in...so long as follow a few simple steps ( this is not simple at all ) .

But thanks once again for the time and replies.

No problem, happy to help. If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to ask.
1306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: withdrawing bitcoin - newbie - advice welcome on: December 28, 2022, 11:10:59 PM
Im hoping its simplier than it all sounds to be honest.

I can certainly understand how all this may be confusing to someone new to cryptocurrencies. We have all been there at some point! Take your time and get things right. If you have any concerns along the way, ask for clarification before proceeding further.

As others have already said, you will need a Bitcoin wallet to get started. A Bitcoin wallet is a software program that allows you to send and receive Bitcoin. There are many different types of wallets available, ranging from mobile wallets that can be installed on your smartphone, to desktop wallets that can be installed on your computer. There are also hardware wallets that can be plugged into your computer and act as another layer of security for your Bitcoin. To get a Bitcoin wallet, you can visit bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and select the type of wallet that you want to install. The website will show you a list of wallets that are compatible with your operating system, and you can then download one of them onto your computer or mobile device.

Once you have installed the software and created a Bitcoin wallet (by following instructions carefully step-by-step) and familiarized yourself with the basic functions of the software, you will need to provide your Bitcoin address to the person or entity that wants to send you a payment. Your Bitcoin address is a long string of letters and numbers that acts as a unique identifier for your wallet. You can find your Bitcoin address by going to the "Receive" section of your wallet.

To receive a Bitcoin payment, the sender will need to send the payment to your Bitcoin address. You can then check your wallet to see the incoming payment and confirm that it has been received.

OP, do not let the bear market keep you down, but rather use it to its advantage by investing into something worthwhile. If you are an investor, this is one of the best time to invest because prices have been dropping over a long period of time, and now you have many tokens with low price. Markets go in cycles, with peaks and valleys. The only thing that is certain is that markets will not stay down forever. We can make the most of this situation by not being greedy, learning to hold on to our coins and invest in more promising coins.
1309  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary & Sr Account connected on: December 26, 2022, 07:36:23 PM
What I want to know is, the quality of your posts makes it clear that you are not new to the forum.  So why do you need to create a new account to post on the forum?

He has every right to do so. Alternative accounts are allowed on the forum.

I am sure you have multiple accounts.

I'm pretty sure you have multiple accounts too. So what is your point?
1310  Economy / Reputation / Re: This 2 account Connected on: December 26, 2022, 06:46:57 PM
Sir I made a mistake.  If people express their wishes from the gallows, the conditions are taken to fulfill them.

Your posts are hard to understand because they do not seem to make sense. Could you please try to use proper English so that your message is clearer and more understandable?

In this case I want to give me you all a chance.  Of course I demand this opportunity, give me a chance.

So, you want another chance? Well, you were caught in multiaccounting and cheating in bounty campaigns years ago. How many more chances do you need?

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!

LOL! I remember this scene, but not from the original movie but from "Home Alone".  Smiley
Little off-topic, but I couldn't resist from posting Smiley. Actually, there is no original movie, this scene was filmed specially for Home Alone. Once I wanted to find this movie and watch, but only found this infromation Cheesy.

Seriously? I did not know that. The line has become a popular catchphrase but I always thought it was from some old black and white movie, but popularized by Kevin from Home Alone. Thanks for this info.  Cheesy

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night... unless you're celebrating Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, in which case, happy holidays and let us hope we can all get through this winter solstice together!

1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: December 25, 2022, 07:55:09 PM
Indeed. These are some of the most popular types of bets that are commonly offered at sportsbooks. Here's another one:

  • Futures bet: This is a bet on the outcome of a future event, such as which team will win the championship in a particular league. For example: Super Bowl or World Series. Futures bets are often made before the event takes place and the odds can change as the event approaches.
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: making 500-1000usd daily in poker must read i need a partner! on: December 25, 2022, 11:15:06 AM
Sorry OP, but I am not falling for it. Your offer to reveal a supposed money-making poker method in exchange for money reeks of a scam and raises more red flags than a Soviet May Day parade. If you truly had a reliable way to earn money through poker, why are you in debt? I think it is best to steer clear of such sketchy proposals.

1315  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag on a supposed Poker Player on: December 25, 2022, 11:04:36 AM
"Beware: sending funds to this individual may result in financial loss."

I stand with the flag and trust feedback in warning others. A newbie asking for money for his gambling expertise is a sure sign of a fraudulent scheme. It is ridiculous to think that someone who claims to have a foolproof method of winning at poker, yet is in debt, could be trusted.

1316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come people spend days here? on: December 25, 2022, 12:27:40 AM
Bitcoin is a subject that I personally find very interesting. It is a revolutionary idea; it continues to develop and evolve in intriguing ways. The technology is young, but it is well on its way towards widespread adoption. So, if you are interested in joining a community of people who care about money, Bitcoin, and the future of currency, this forum is where you will find them. It is no wonder that so many people point newbies here for advice, because there really is no better resource available. I am not advocating that you should drop whatever it is you're doing and get involved with Bitcoin, but I am saying that if you are interested in learning more about this technology, it is hard to find a better place than this forum.
1317  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: December 24, 2022, 10:34:55 PM
Well, I think it is too late for such advice now. Everyone who wanted to spend money on Christmas has already done so, since it is getting close to Christmas around the world. But hey, at least we can all learn from our mistakes and make a plan to have a more financially responsible holiday season next year!

Merry Christmas to you too!
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 24, 2022, 10:27:23 PM
Where I come from free usually means worthless. Would you be interested in worthless crypto coins and tokens? Of course not. You want something that has real value and can be used for something, right? Well, that is the same thing when it comes to free cryptocurrency airdrops. They are not worth much because there are so many of them out there and they do not have any real value.
1319  Economy / Reputation / Re: Members Asking For Neutral Trust To Be Removed on: December 24, 2022, 02:09:25 PM
In my case I have recently received PMs regarding neutral feedbacks only but have any of you recently received similar PMs asking for either negative or neutral trust to be removed by those that you left them for?

I have never received a PM request for my opinion on a neutral feedback, and as for the negative, I agree with what LoyceV said. It is better to discuss such things publicly, so I always refer to a relevant topic where the defendant can complain if he wants to. I have received PMs from some people asking for my opinion on neutral feedback posts, and I always respond with my thoughts. I do not mind public discussion, but in some cases it is better to avoid any potential conflict by PMing each other directly.

JollyGood, I noticed that you mentioned a particular signature campaign. Could you share publicly which campaign it is about and which members specifically contacted you? It is possible that the signature campaign manager made this a requirement, though I have never seen such requirements before.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 23, 2022, 10:36:00 PM
There are many reasons why people might sell their valuable assets, including bitcoin. For example:

- Needing to liquidate some assets in order to pay off debts or purchase something important; or to meet other financial obligations.

- Someone might decide to sell their assets due to changes in their personal circumstances, such as a change in their financial situation, or a change in their interests or priorities.

- An investor may choose to sell assets if he believes the value is likely to fall or wants to take advantage of a hot market.

- Someone may decide to sell assets in order to diversify their portfolio and spread risk across multiple investments.

In the end, the decision to sell your precious possessions is a highly personal one, and should be based on your unique circumstances and financial goals. It's crucial to weigh the pros and cons of selling your assets and to seek out expert financial advice if you have any doubts or concerns. Or, you know, you could just flip a coin. That is always a solid investment strategy.  Wink
