If you are preparing to ship, then you must have a fully tested and ready product.

Can you post some photos, and provide some specs for your units ?

I hope you can appreciate many of us, myself included, are very dubious of your claims TBH.

Hi Dave,

Will there be a chip sale sometime soon? How about the broken / eol boards?

Thanks a lot
683  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support thread on: December 10, 2013, 04:41:10 AM
Received my latest ant a couple hours ago and have a couple questions. Possible problems:

1.) Network,  The ant is submitting shares as the well as the other 2 I have in my possession the only difference is on the first 2 ants the ethernet port only blinks green. On the new ant the ehternet port flashes yellow and green. Anyone know if this is an issue. The logs show it is eth1 is up 10mbps/ half duplex and no errors. The logs for the other ants show the same thing. Maybe this is not a problem at all.

2.) Temperature and fan. On the first two ants the fans show to be running upwards of 5000 and higher with temps no higher than 47-49

On the new ant, antminer does not report speed higher than 2600 or so with higher temps. Any thoughts or comments on either of these issues?? Thanks in advance.

All my ANTs blink green, no yellow (both old and new).

Temps reported by newer ANTs are in the 49 - 51C while older ones report 45 - 46C (same conditions, PSU, etc).
Without an infra-red thermometer it's impossible to judge which one's correct.

Fan speed's reported as 5K rpm in older ants and 2.5Krpm in the newer Ants. I am 80 - 90% confident that the fans are not spinning at 5K rpm.
I have a few 5K rpm fans and it's impossible to miss them at 5k (It's like a jet engine right before take-off). I maybe off here, since I do not own a tachometer.

Seems Like Avalon2 Chip?
Is it?
Are there any tech docs available.
If it is Avalon 2 (even it is not) The price is too high in my opinion. Two months to market at least for minig borads to be assembled

My feelings tell me that it is Avalon2 for sure...But anyway time will tell
Good luck to you and your customers

It's more efficient than Avalon 2, though datasheets will reveal more about the comm protocol. # of chip pins are not same as Avalon2.

How to fuck can I be so unlucky Huh all in less than 24 hours !!!

- My localbitcoin holding was hacked and I lost all my holding.

- I had finally done a very good order on btc-e but never received the bitcoins so had to cancel the order making a loss.

- 24 of my 32 videos on youtube were deleted.

- I ordered a new phone two weeks ago but it never arrived and today they sent me a message saying that the phone was never sent.

Bad luck streak Sad I would just stay indoors and do nothing for a few days and dust myself up.

PPS: looking at my stats so far, it appears the newer unit has a much lower number of stales/24hrs but slightly more low difficulty shares. I havent been monitoring stats very long yet to see if its random or a trend yet, but has anyone else noticed something like this?

any idea whats causing the difference? I can repost the stats in a few hours once they are larger numbers, but the version1 unit still produces a higher number of HW and rejected

Yes, the newer unit has a much lower number of stales. But HW of these two version are same.
If you care about the stale number of the old version, please try to update the firmware.
Download: https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/firmware

Thanks successfully updated the firmware of my rev1 units.

How can I know which board is version 1 and which is version 2?

Build date's printed on PCB.

v1) For miners with build date 2013/11/4
v2) For miners with build date 2013/11/18

Any word on the 500 or so defective boards Dave mentioned?

I imagine those would take additional work since they need to be marked in some way to distinguish them from the new boards.  IE:  The folks that buy a new A/C at wally world and return the 12 year old clunker in the box a week later.

Sharpies do nicely
Cool, I would be interested in these boards as well. $100 - $200 a pop would be a nice price for EOL cards. BTW do you still have those 2layer gaffe boards ?
