Dont you think better to change resistor R01F to Variable Resistor and we can player with it.
The resistor is in a regulation feedback path, so we don't want long wires that can influence stability of the control loop. Also, potentiometers are notoriously sensitive to wear and dirt.
Why do I measure the resistance of R01F and R02F as 1.3KOhm on the h-board, is it in parallel if other elements on Vout?

we need a pictured guide for dummies ... so we can break our boards trying ...

Use pencil mod on R2F, make it around 1.1 - 1.2K, voltage goes from 0.66V to 0.81V. The default value is ~1.3K. It may blow the 30AFuse if you go too high; so make sure you do it only if you have a soldering station handy Wink
What is "pencil mod" ?

Note there's no 30A fuse, and it doesn't blow. There's a resettable polyfuse in the 12A supply. If there's too much current, it will get hot, and as it gets hot the resistance increases, which will reduce current. It is resettable, which means that after removing power and letting it cool down, it will restore itself. There's no need to replace it.

Unfortunately, these polyfuses aren't particularly accurate or fast. Don't depend on them to save your board. Their purpose is to protect your power supply from blatant shorts on the H-CARD.
Ahh thanks for the heads up. I thought that was a fuse that would blow. The label on it is 300L alpha, so I thought for a moment it was a 30A. Forgot that it was placed in the 12V input.
Also the user above explained pencil mod Smiley.

have a board with only first 4 chips hashing. I think the chips start from bottom left corner and go vertically up (U40, U41, U42, U43) down (U44, U45, U46, U47) ,..., then down the second column and then up, etc. Any tips on how to make the board fully functional. It's okay if chip 5 will not hash.

Okay problem solved. Inferring that the problem chips be disabled as per cscape's suggestion
I cut the SPI traces of 4th and 5th chips using a knife and shorted the jumpers using thin copper wire. Here are the results. The board now uses 14chips for hashing.

I fixed an EOL board by shorting the solder jumpers. no need to cut the traces. Funny, my EOL board with disabled chip is hashing at 25GH/s Smiley

I tried that, it still didn't solve the issue with my board. That's why I had to cut traces.
BTW what was the initial hashrate of your EOL board?

How were you able to tell which chips were bad?

Where's the reference to how to fix the problem?

Thanks.

Here, it's in the EU thread.

Can you explain how to do this?

:-)

Maybee some pictures ...

a) Get an Ohmmeter or DMM

b) Get an HB or softer Pencil

c) Locate R02F resistor. Donot mod R01F.

d) Make sure R02F measures 1.3KOhm

e) Rub pencil on the surface of R02F 3 - 4 times

f) Measure resistance, if it's 1.2K plug the board in

g) Measure output voltage, and repeat steps e,f if necessary for fine-tuning Wink

h) Hash like a boss

Guys heads up on pencil mod for overvolting and thus aiding overclocking.

After Mod (I have only 3 H cards )

I have a board with only first 4 chips hashing. I think the chips start from bottom left corner and go vertically up (U40, U41, U42, U43) down (U44, U45, U46, U47) ,..., then down the second column and then up, etc. Any tips on how to make the board fully functional. It's okay if chip 5 will not hash.

Thanks a ton MBP / 1200TH Team with the orders. This is the first BTC ASIC company that is professional and keeps their promises. 10/10

I'm curious as to how many BTC were used to purchase one of these when they went on sale(August shipping).  The reason I ask is because I was thinking about buying an October order but when crunching the numbers I will lose 15-20 coins and was trying to figure out how that makes sense.

most of us paid by CC and some buyers paid by wires.

What was the dollar amount for an August 400 gh/s unit?
400GH/s was 19K$
Starters were 1.3K$

Until what time does USPS deliver usually? It's 5pm already.

My stuff just arrived. 2X starters Smiley

Waiting at home, still no signs of USPS delivery man Sad

I am starting to wonder if you are my next door neighbor. We both got ours shipped same day and time, and I think we will both get ours in about 45 minutes (when they come to our doorstep!)  Grin

Ha ha that would be immensely funny Smiley

There is one point that I agree with. The use of chemical weapons in warfare can't go unpunished.

That being said further investigation needs to be done by a reliable third party with absolute honesty and openness to the public.

Another war is just what the US economy needs.

Even the missiles cost way too much money.
