Megabigpower on btcg IS the 100/200TH mine. Dave is in charge of deploying the mine...it is not his personal mine. Ghash.io is a private mine...not the 100/200Th mine.

It is a valid question to ask if October orders will be delayed to bring up the mine since the mine is pretty far behind schedule.

So this begs the question... Who are these people behind the 200THs Mine (and Ghash.io)?  Those are some DEEP pockets, lol.

Leszek, Maciek, and Dave i think. There was a whitepaper that I read sometime back.

Think it would be useful to ship Dave a cheap VOM and a couple of sharpened pencils?

Can I use an HB #2 pencil, or does it need to be something else? Just looking around I did not see a difference.
HB is a good start to get to 1.2KOhm, after that it take a bit of an effort to lower the resistance. Softer / darker pencils make it easier.

I think Avalon B1 owners made a killing. Rest all struggling to recover back investment.

Yup nice idea. " - From miners to miners - " Wink
1265  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 23, 2013, 01:32:19 AM

let's not spend time trying to distort reality. instead focus on the future- regardless, October will likely not ROI either
btw, out of pure curiosity i wonder how many people knew about 200th from bitfury 's private pool coming online.

I knew and bought in for some shares - nothing big, just a small piece.   I'm really starting to think this might end up being the way that BTC mining goes in the near future...

Well then there's always the pencil mod once it's up at 200TH Wink
1266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Jalapeno - flashing LED4 after firmware update on: September 22, 2013, 10:21:10 PM
Try a few power cycles. Happened to me as well.
1267  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 22, 2013, 10:03:33 PM
My miner stop working 6 hrs ago and I found out SD card gone bad.  I am going to dowload SD image that suck.

ps: 3.7Gb filesystem cant mount in Ubuntu that why image gone bad.  I am back to mining now and I had to start write new image to sd card then changed ip address.
My second SDcard got screwed as well. Had to connect the first SD card to make an image and then re-mage the second one. Since I didnt' have a SD card reader, used my digicam as one Wink
1268  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: September 22, 2013, 08:02:36 PM
Hm... Asicminer shares normally are priced that high that one could make 25% over a year. This share here now has 100% div in a year. I see a difference to asicminer but still i dont like the shareprice actually. If they had 200TH now already it would be 400% per year. I hope they get it done and that this security is found by more investors. Since they seem to mine already. Thats more than other securities can say.

AM is selling blades at ~4 BTC/10GH.

This security represents 100TH 200TH, i.e., 10,000 20,000 blades worth of hashpower. That would cost 40,000 80,000 BTC to buy.

Market cap:   120526.04077839 BTC

This is provably overvalued. You are getting a 3x 1.5x better deal by buying ASICMiner blades without accounting for electricity charges, and you are likely to lose money on those too.
FTFY
1269  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] BitFury Miner Support/Tuning on: September 22, 2013, 07:16:34 AM
I am currently getting 551GH/s noncerate as a type this on my full rig.   Running R02F at 1.2k, small heatsinks attached to the back of each board, 6x 120mm fans split on each side of the rig, 2x 200mm fans on the top of the rig.

The chip temps all seem to be in the low 50 C range or lower.

Good to know that 16 overclocked board can function well together. Thanks

on a sidenote, https://ghash.io bitfury pool reaches 200TH
1271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 21, 2013, 06:17:07 AM
out of curiosity whats everyones cards hashing at, i'm only getting avg 19 out of my starter which is kinda a bummer.

Board 1 - 27.5 avg
Board 2 - 26.25 avg

I'm too paranoid to do even the pencil mod.  And I just have a couple 120mm fans blowing in their general direction.  I make sure not to disturb even a single wire or breathe on it too hard since everything seems to be working fine.

 *knocks wood

What I realized after reward-halving last Nov was that hashing hardware need to be squeezed to the point where I can extract the last juice out of them without killing. Just my 2 satoshis

Kit #1:   3 cards:
1: 30.609GH/s
9: 31.339GH/s
13: 29.335GH/s

Kit#2:  2 cards:
Bank 1
1: 30.723GH/s
9: 30.093GH/s

i penciled the resistor to about 1230ohms.

Should I have done that or go lower?

Wow 5 Hcards Smiley
Did you order 2 starter kits?

Heya Goxed, I ordered 5 kits.
ahh okay, that explains it. these default 25gh/s cards are the easiest to overclock in my experience.

It will be a very hard task explaining bitcoins to the judge. I think we can pay Micon to represent us vs Josh.
1276  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] BitFury Miner Support/Tuning on: September 20, 2013, 05:06:40 AM
i got my starter kit hooked up,

1.  green and black atx motherboard connector jumped
2.  sd car in RPI
3.  2 x 6 pin PCIE power cables on the M-board
4.  h card in slot 1
5.  ethernet cable hooked up.
6.  h card components point toward the Rpi

the rPi powers up, i can see a Orange, green, green red  light  and I feel heat on the h-card.

I cannot ssh or ping 192.168.1.249.

I do not see any new ip addresses on my router as well.

What am I doing wrong?

I was wondering the same when I found out that the rPI got an IP using DHCP Tongue

Sorry if this has been answered already but what would the expected delivery dates be if I ordered a Starter kit and a couple of h-boards today?
You will get it for Oct Delivery.

ps: miner will start ship out at end of Oct.

Is there a confirmation that October delivery shipping takes place in end of Oct?

I have a feeling they will ship last week of October. Mainly because I have the worst luck in the world and I will be out of my state that entire week for the Certified Ethical Hacker class. hehe.
ditto, I guess all small-time miners are SOL

I wonder when will the price of H-boards be decreased.  Shocked
