21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: May 13, 2020, 07:01:14 AM
Yes, the safe zone as far as the crypto space is concerned is in major coins starting with BTC of course. Talking about new projects, it looks like a herculean task knowing which is or will be good on the long term thus the reason why most people find it better holding new projects for immediate or short term profits. Then for IEO, the one on major exchanges can give good profit unlike in other smaller exchanges, but in all when it comes to long term holding, then BTC, ETH, XLM, BNB are the good choices.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 is helping to expand the crypto world on: May 12, 2020, 09:57:41 AM
That's correct, you are right about more people thinking of how to make ends meet thus seeing the crypto space as the best possible way to secure and take care of themselves. Also, I agree with you, because what matters to most people now is how to stay alive and crypto is there for them since this lockdown affected businesses and so on, hence one of the reasons there have been significant growth recently in the crypto space. In addition, this virus is not only making people invest in crypto, it is also making them to learn more skills that will benefit them offline.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency & Mobile Gaming on: May 12, 2020, 09:40:31 AM
Found out about a new project today called Ludena Protocol.
From what I've read its an app in Korea currently with 3 million users thats launching globally soon

Basically you play mobile games like COD, PUBG etc and then get rewarded in tokens, in exchange for them collecting your data and then selling it to publishers.

Does something like this even make sense? Most gamers don't care about cryptocurrency in my opinion, but the fact that 3 million users are currently using the platform that can be easily convereted into DAPP users in the backgorund is kind of appealing.

Anyways, I would appreciate everyones input on whether these two industries should even be combined

Collecting data and selling to publishers, in this case I assume it is the gaming experience, review and it's likes that will be collected, if this is not the case, and maybe it's personal data then it's wrong. Actually, nowadays in the crypto space, gamers are finding reasons to play and earn crypto depending on the settings of the platform but the only issue is, there are just few platforms that are already making it possible. Therefore, if this platform with such users can do something better about gaming and crypto then I think it's highly welcome.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rebellious - A strong community - Keep an eye on it on: May 11, 2020, 08:21:48 AM
Most people actually made money from this token both from trading and from airdrops but it is funny and sad that the project is now a shadow of itself with no news whatsoever, who even knows if it is still existing or dead already. Not only this project, there are many which had enough hype then but they are no where to be found now, thus one of the reasons not all altcoins are worth holding nor investing in; some just invest especially in IEO for the quick profit and nothing more.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: May 11, 2020, 08:09:21 AM
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

You can't delete the tokens but you can send to another wallet or a dedicated wallet you created for the sole purpose of keeping useless tokens, in this way getting rid of them. But thinking about it, why wasting the gas fee on a useless token? Why not just ignore and pretend it's never in your wallet since it is not worth it.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New App Lets Coronavirus-Hit Businesses Take Crypto Payments for Zoom Calls on: May 10, 2020, 07:53:25 AM
It's great to see crypto projects being recognized by major companies now, similar to what Zoom did. Zoom is now using SmartLinks for ETH, BTC, and more coins soon.
https://www.coindesk.com/new-app-lets-coronavirus-hit-businesses-take-crypto-payments-for-zoom-calls?amp=1

Will we see bigger companies like Netflix, etc. use crypto and blockchain soon? And how will the halvening impact our exposure?

This is a wonderful news and it is really good to see it which shows that even in the midst of this pandemic, crypto is still finding increasing uses. In my own opinion this will go a long way in exposing the potential of crypto and why there is a need to embrace it because from all indications, the future of the crypto space looks bright. I believe with time, more knowledge of crypto will be sought after by many people while we will be seeing more adoption from many platforms and organizations.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to buy some alt? on: May 10, 2020, 07:48:27 AM
Actually it is a good time but with Bitcoin halving coming up or rather already here many people still finds it better buying Bitcoin, it's not a bad idea but in my own opinion I think it is also a good time to hold some altcoins now taking into consideration the prices of most altcoins looks friendly. In addition, let due diligence be applied and let one invest what he can afford.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you view an ICO project if it was launched by an accredited lawyer? on: May 09, 2020, 07:08:42 AM
To me it doesn't make any difference, whether from an accredited lawyer or not it will still be viewed like the way ICOs are being viewed till date. Another truth is, during the ICO days many team claimed to be what they aren't all in a bid to make their money and it mostly worked so coming up with that same line won't change any thing. Lastly as for me, I have nothing to do with any ICO again, if the project is truly from an accredited lawyer, then let the team get their facts right, build their project and get listed on good exchange for IEO, they will mostly get their support but if it's ICO, the reverse will likely be the case.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: May 09, 2020, 06:59:12 AM
The reality of everything is that the ICO period really opened the eyes of many people as well as making them to be more smarter and wiser with their funds although there is still little chances of lossing while those who are still being driven by hype or by what they hear still continue lossing terribly. Yes ICO era was filled with a lot of scam projects but the IEO era isn't left out as well, the only difference is, in IEO, if it takes place in good exchanges, it offers a good chance of gains. Therefore yes, everything you pointed out is true, it is very important to be a wise investor in order to save yourself from unnecessary headache.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacken ai IEO failed on: May 08, 2020, 12:44:44 PM
What will happen to hacken ai now? The project planned for IEO on oceanX exchange, damn I did warned them about such exchanges, they only sold 18% of 100% tokens for the IEO in 24hrs, that's a big failure, any solution to this?

18% out of 100% is really not motivating I must say but yet everything will now depend on the team and what steps they will take. In cases like this, the commonly followed step by most team is to look for another way to conduct an IEO on another exchange maybe they will succeed in getting their required funds or completing their IEO. Also, since there are even cases where a project carries out its IEO on two exchanges just to make sure they succeed, so this Hackenai team going for another exchange won't be a bad idea since it's somehow the same thing.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: May 08, 2020, 12:25:34 PM
Becareful of fake promises from new projects, some use cases can never be possible on blockchain and many don't know this, I've neglected some projects because of this, why are investors fooling themselves? The warning that says ' stay away from offers that are too good to be true' is not entirely talking about profits only, sometimes it's more than that, how can we be promised that a city will use A.I technology when no single A.I project is successful in crypto space? Be wise fellas, some things will never work on blockchain, at least not this time

I really like the title, "too good to be real projects" this is just a perfect title to classify those useless projects with the aim of making money from users and nothing more. Also, I find reasons to agree with you as well based on the types of ideas which most team comes up with and when looked on clearly shows it is not possible to be worked on nor will it yield a good project; this AI project you just used as an example is a good proof to that. As for me, I believe it is better people invest in projects they understand, a project that is workable and achievable not projects with just beautiful whitepapers etc.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Faith of cryptocurrency after this pandemic period. on: May 07, 2020, 09:23:49 AM
The novel covid-19 crisis has created a massive awareness in cryptocurrency that thrends, social media sites confirmed that cryptocurrency is one of the most discussed topics on the platform. do you think that this awareness that cryptocurrency deserved has finally arrived or is their more to offer for people to consider cryptocurrency as a means of long term investment.

I think the media is also doing a good job in making the potential and growth of crypto known to all and sundry when other markets are only but crashing, therefore I can say that the awareness crypto is gaining is good but there is still more to expect in the coming days. Also, With most markets struggling, crypto tend to be on the safer side hence as people are on the lookout for a better way out they will then see crypto as the best option, thus the reason I said there is more to be expected.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too scared to go for altcoins? on: May 07, 2020, 09:05:54 AM
No coin can ever be like the king, which is Bitcoin, therefore if it isn't Bitcoin that means we are to chose from the whole lot of altcoins out there. In my own opinion, I see these altcoins as same with others, that is, just as I have my reservations about some other types of altcoins in the same way I have my reservations on these Bitcoin forks; a good number of them are hardly heard of. Nevertheless, apart from Bitcoin my other preferred and best altcoins are Ethereum, Stellar, ADA, and BNB.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: May 06, 2020, 07:32:53 AM
Hi, guys, I want to ask how do I avoid ICO scams...

Are there any good ICO's left? or is the market flooded with bullshit coins?

To start with, the market is littered and flooded with bullshit and useless coins with no good utility at all. Many coins are just copying from those that are already in place hence one of the reasons why after listing the price will continue dropping till it becomes worthless while the team will do nothing to revert the situation. Also, as for ICO scams, the best way to avoid them is avoiding ICOs completely, because so far the team will always be in charge of funds generated first, they will always have the opportunity to carry out a whole lot of unfriendly behaviours such as exit scam, not listing, listing on bad exchanges and so on. But with IEO, at least the investor will decide based on the exchange it is listing on.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin wallet on: May 06, 2020, 07:23:46 AM
Everyone have a particular wallet he believes is the best based on usage, security, ease of access and so on, a wallet I see as the best wallet might be different from the one you see as the best, thus everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Nevertheless, this is a nice and long list with enough information to help even a newbie make the right decisions. In my own case, I prefer Trust wallet owing to its features and multi-cryptocurrency nature.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose which altcoin will you buy? on: May 05, 2020, 07:17:18 AM
Hello

Recently I started looking into new projects as I have some free time and I'm wondering what do you guys look at when you are deciding which altcoin to buy and hold.

Do you know any projects that you believe has a bright future?

I hear a lot of people complaining that they bought coins that were either dead in a few weeks or the project was pointless. I would like to avoid such situations.

Thank you in advance.

The first coin I can say that has the best or bright future is Bitcoin and no coin drags it with it, but since it's about altcoins then here is my picks; Ethereum, Binance, ADA, Stellar, Litecoin and Dash. I hardly look into new coins, when I do and buy, I don't hold for long because majority of them tends to disappoint. However, what i look at when deciding the altcoin to buy is the use case that follows it and if the team have the knowledge, experience and skills to see it come into action and not only that but also ensuring its constant improvements and upgrades.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Several Factors That Can Affect Cryptocurrency Prices? on: May 05, 2020, 07:00:17 AM
This is true; to chip in my own opinion, I think supply and demand works well when the coin have a good utility, when something is not being demanded it has every tendency of becoming worthless, therefore when a coin have good utility as a result of the efforts of the team via working products, then the coin will be in demand. Also another factors is panic and fear, a good Illustration of this is when the pandemic was announced and declared, most people panicked and sold so as to be on the safer side. In addition, I can also say news plays another huge role, it can bring about a positive change or negative impact on the prices of coins.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in this new IEO on: May 04, 2020, 08:13:54 AM
Hello, I am new to blockchain and I stumbled on how successful Binance IEO is and the recent IEO conducted there, I witnessed how the coin price spiked after IEO. So i discovered that Latoken is about conducting an IEO. Is it a wise decision to invest?

No it is not a wise decision. The reason is, IEOs on Latoken doesn't amounts to good profits or gains because the exchange itself is a bad one and any IEO there only ends in failure therefore leading to more bad reputation for the exchange. The list of good exchanges to participate in their IEOs are OKEx, Binance, Gate, Huobi, Bitmax and Kucoin; these exchanges have tried their best to maintain a good reputation both during IEO and otherwise.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: May 04, 2020, 07:58:04 AM
Many scammers are found in those exchanges telegram groups because that is where they will see a good number of uninformed people they can scam or defraud. Imagine a telegram admin helping you out on an issue or problem and then requests for payment, it sounds off and should ring a bell that something is wrong; nevertheless those who aren't aware of their ways should know that no admin will ask for any payment or deposit to help out on any challenges neither will they PM first no matter what.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: May 03, 2020, 12:53:50 PM
I think from this past bear market many people will understand that there is always a good time to fill the bags and good time to wait or hold too. The bear market opened up opportunities for bagging of coins but it was only for those who understands what crypto is all about and the type of coins that are likely to grow again once the market starts improving and as such the likes of BTC and ETH took the lead. My own opinion is, during bear market be mindful of the coins you bag because during bull run where most will see a reason to grow some won't make a move.
