341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A completely decentralized world...How will it be? on: July 09, 2019, 10:11:58 PM
Sincerely I see the possibility of this coming to place on a global scale. Let's check it out, with the rate the world is advancing as well as technology nowadays data breaches is getting more serious and to an extent we are losing our privacy. Now bearing this in mind and relating it to blockchain; blockchain tends to offer solution to this and that is decentralization. So when the world gets to know all about blockchain they will have no other choice than to start using all services offered.
In my own view, a completely decentralized world will be a world where transparency and trust will be on the high side.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Word of Caution For All on: July 09, 2019, 10:08:09 PM
That's the truth and I totally agree with you. There are most individuals whose work is to hype one project after the other for their own interests and that's all. I pity those who listens or follows whatever they hear on social media etc as those predictions doesn't work. Right now the market is looking good, prediction has started again and when it fails to go according to plan I wonder who they will blame. Like you rightly said, due diligence, research etc should be at the back of ours hands at every point in time.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 will bring big changes? on: July 06, 2019, 12:25:22 PM
Ethereum blockchain updates are top notch and will always attract more investors thus leading to more growth. Also, owing to the level of its platform updates the coin is always highly valued.
Now refering to the major upgrade next year which is highly advanced thus making most people to be asking questions every now and then, think it will cause or give good returns to holders, so holding now looks a good idea to me. Nevertheless, remember this space is unpredictable, thus endeavour to be wise in all dealings.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO can be a safer investment option than ICO on: July 06, 2019, 12:20:30 PM
Yes, that's true. The recent activities in IEOs has shown that most if not all investors have migrated from ICO to IEO and are glad they did. Also, the success of these IEOs solely depends on the exchange reason why most people don't try all the time to get a slot in Binance IEO.
On the other hand, funds security is also an added advantage when it comes to IEOs as there is little or room for scamming. Listing after saleis also guaranteed. In conclusion, from my own understanding, IEO offers a better investment option then ICOs.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware - Resurgence of previously inactive projects on: July 06, 2019, 12:13:29 PM
Funny as it is, but that's totally true and their intention is clear they are out to scam more people, but they will fail. Imagine a project going cold and all of a sudden rising? No one will take it serious as they have learnt their lessons.
Nevertheless, we should be careful because they will come with good Incentives to draw people, let's always endeavour to research and safeguard your funds.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens that did not update their Bitcointalk thread on: July 06, 2019, 12:08:59 PM
A token or project not updating their Bitcointalk ANN thread isn't an Issue, rather the issue is, if there is no activity in their support groups etc.
Most successful project don't even have ANN thread while most that had a successful Public sale no longer update their thread but are delivering as promised, thus to me that's what matters. All investors wants is good products and services that will add value to their investment or holdings..
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges to be careful about IEO listing. on: July 06, 2019, 12:05:38 PM
Yes, IEO is the new trend and no doubt have been profitable for most investors. Nevertheless with this rise in IEO, one needs to be careful of most exchanges, in this case, exchanges that will spring up from no where to promote an IEO. One of the reason Binance IEOs always sell out fast is that, they try to go for good project. Thus before getting involved with any IEO, check the project and also how reliable the exchange is.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency market conditions. on: July 06, 2019, 12:01:02 PM
If you watch this space in last few month, you will see that fomonhas set in and most people don't want to lose out, while most want to recover their losses. Another reason or conditions which affects this market is emotion and of course news, all these in one way or the other either cause an uptrend in price or a downtrend in price; that's the typical nature of the crypto market.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cosmos it is a Ethereum-killer? on: July 06, 2019, 11:57:56 AM
What if at the long run it didn't?
The truth is, comparing most coins to either BTC or ETH doesn't always work; most projects have evolved stating their aim of beating Ethereum yet they are no where to be found. Nevertheless, ATOM really have good potential, the team really knows what they want and thus will surly add value to this space but asking if it will beat ETH I what I find no answer to. It will be hard for any coin to beat ETH on the long run.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can shit coin be the best coin if the project and product is real ? on: July 04, 2019, 11:48:25 PM
In my own understanding or opinion, a shit coin is a coin with no use, no working product and no active team. Now if a coin is backed by a working product and active team, even if the price is down on exchanges, it is not a shit coin. What that coin needs is time and patience from its investors to allow the team perfect their ideas.
Shitcoins has no real products thus the name and the price will keep going down as the team is not active.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Manipulation of cryptocurrency exchanges. on: July 04, 2019, 11:44:42 PM
Many exchanges manipulate volume etc so as to attract more users. While most exchanges are perfect in doing this others aren't; that is, in most exchanges you will see how bot influence price thereby making trading almost difficult.
After having a bitter experience with a certian exchange, I tend to overlook what is displayed on CMC and thus visiting the exchange in particular to be sure there is a good level of trading activities before sending any coin.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: noteworthy altcoins for investment? on: July 04, 2019, 11:39:44 PM
Well you are right on what you said about XRP; so if it's for short term investment then it's a good idea but for long term I don't know the efficiency of those services taking into consideration how centralized Ripple is. Nevertheless, holding a certian amount of Xrp while holding ETH, BTC looks like a good investment plan to me.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook coin is not a threat for Bitcoin on: June 29, 2019, 02:04:46 PM
There is apparently no coin that can be a threat to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the true definition of decentralization and till date still stand as the best decentralized blockchain. Many coins have entered in this space with the mindset of beating Bitcoin yet none has been able to beat ETH in the long run let alone Bitcoin.
The truth is, majority has seen the potentials within Bitcoin and have understood its long term viability thus sticking with it. Facebook coin on the other is yet to launch and feel what it means to survive amidst challenges so I wonder how it will be a threat to a coin (Bitcoin) which has survived for long and keeps growing.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: June 29, 2019, 01:54:18 PM
That is a big YES. Product gives the team something to focus and concentrate on thereby attracting more investors while making the platform more valuable. When the team already have something they are working on (that is product) they will work more hard as they won't be happy to see their hard work be in vain at the long run.
And to confirm this, if you study most platforms which started with an already developed product before seeking for funds they are always performing well. So yes I product matters.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence in Cryptocurrency on: June 29, 2019, 01:49:32 PM
Talking about the issues of hack of exchanges; with Binance hack it became clear that keeping funds in exchanges is not advisable, so I think by educating these investors and telling them truth will go a long way in helping them. And what is the truth? Encouraging them to keep their funds or assets off exchanges.
About stolen funds, I tend to assume is about ICOs; I think with IEOs this has reduced considerably.
Furthermore, with the recent growth of the market, it is evident that the crypto space has come to stay because those who badmouthed the market last year have seen a tremendous turnaround.
So I think to certian extent confidence is returning gradually.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to know about the future of Altcoins according to recent situation!! on: June 29, 2019, 01:38:13 PM
Before thinking if those coins that a very low price will survive or pump you need to check the activities within the platform; that is, is the team really doing anything to drive the price up? Are there partnerships which will drive the price up etc? If the team are idle or aren't encouraging then it might be they have abandoned the project.
This year I have seen most projects which are low in price but their team is actively working in improving the platform; projects like this will survive because what investors needs is tangible reasons to hold on, and once they see one, they will hold.
So check those projects to know their plans then you will decide.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many people will fall for BitConnect 2.0 on: June 29, 2019, 01:32:11 PM
Back to continue from where it stopped or what. This is funny, or too good to be true; even if they succed in launching I don't think people will fall victims again unless those who are greedy or those who finds it hard researching any venture before putting their funds.
Nevertheless, I pray we keep sending the right message to those who aren't aware to stay clear from them because they don't mean good for anyone.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't bite more than you can chew on: June 29, 2019, 01:28:30 PM
This is really a wonderful advice if only all parties will listen. Investing in any business or venture comes with its own risk, and only those who have studied the anticipated risks do well on the long term while those who aren't tends to be bitter at every little thing. Imagine going all in in a venture and it didn't go according to plan, who will you blame?
Traders on the other hand, those who always think they can get it all with one trade always gets trapped. It's high time we start understanding everything we venture to do, only then will we be at peace doing it.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will new alts projects take over the lead? on: June 28, 2019, 06:25:25 PM
One thing is certain in this space and it can't be argued; and that is, use case. The reason coins like Eth and BnB are always gaining the attention of the Public is owing to what they are offering in this space; great use case.
So to your question, all these new altcoins will only take the lead when it is evident they are offering something that will help both the crypto space and the world at large.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits in cryptocurrency trading. on: June 28, 2019, 06:21:17 PM
That's wonderful and encouraging most especially for traders or rather new trader who think trading doesn't worth it. One thing I have always tell my friends is that, they should first be educated on all affairs of trading before getting involved else they will lose and learn the hard way.
I too made a reasonable profit in the month of may, and also this month too. Thank you for this post and I wish it will help encourage others to be steadfast.
