181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: November 29, 2019, 09:04:21 PM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.

Nobody ever though cryptocurrencies will be this huge. Even when it was created, it faces many badmouthings, its price rose and fell many times, crypto lovers were regarded as people wasting their time but today the story has changed. I tend to get involved with crypto because from all ramifications, the future is bright. The concept and idea within crypto is what the world really wants and will finally come to the understanding of it.. lastly for crypto to survive till now means the founder really did a great job and thus will keep associating with it.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IEO is more legit if launch on big exchnages like Binance? on: November 29, 2019, 09:00:12 PM
I think it is a bit more legit if an IEO is launch on bigger exchanges. Because they know that it can be very hard to enter big exchanges and convince them that your project is very useful and insight of having a very solid future to get funds using them. What's you opinion on this? Do you think there are other reasons if they choose other small exchange platforms?

Legit? I tend to disagree; most of the projects getting listed in top exchanges are only doing so for immediate profit or the hype around it and nothing more. That project gets listed on major exchanges for IEO doesn't proves it is legit, take a tour on major exchanges that hosted one IEO or the other and check how many of the projects are performing well or working according to their roadmap. There are still projects doing IEO on smaller exchanges but have a good concept. So how legit a project is depends on the team and not on the exchange it's IEO is taking place.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to buy Basic Attention Token (BAT)? on: November 29, 2019, 08:55:26 PM
Reading your post proves all fact that it is time to buy the token. Yes, risks exists in this space, but there are things to consider before getting involved with any project and it is evident BAT fulfills them; one of it is, real and working products which people have seen. Another is the growing number of users who believes in what lies within. So what else than taking the risk of buying it. This is my opinion though.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 08:50:30 PM
The facts and figures are clear, what else to call it other than exit scam. No I call it well perfected scam, making away with the cold wallet keys is really a big blow to users and an embarrassment to the whole crypto space. I think it's high time, these CEOs stop having complete access to the cold wallet so that in cases like this, there can be a way out. Let the law enforcement get hold of him and charge him appropriately.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest on a project because someone said they are good? on: November 29, 2019, 08:46:31 PM
A friend from my street came by today to tell about a coin named LCC (Litecoin cash) and he told me he has already invested on the coin, i asked him what makes him invested in it, like what is the real use case of the coin and he have no straight answer, after a while i found out he invested in the coin because of what a analyst said about the project, are there people like this on here? after so many scams since 2018? i decide to do few diggings and i see that LCC is not that bad but my point is why invest on a project because someone said they are good?

This group of people really need care and attention to be better, because it could be that they don't know there left from right and just like you said, he didn't gave you any straight answer as to why he invested. They need to learn on how to be good with research of any project therefore having the knowledge to look past the lies of the so called experts. Since he is your friend, teach me let him be careful else he makes more mistakes.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A coin that solves a problem won't die on: November 28, 2019, 11:42:18 AM
Its impossible to have one or two coins in crypto space because one or two coins can't solve all the problems we have in this world in every aspect of technology or others, if you want to keep a coin for a long time make sure the coin or token solves one or two problems in crypto space or the world, this type of coins don't die easily because they have real use cases, its simple as that

A coin that solves issues is what we want, although there are few of them we still want more as they are the type of coins which set this space on the Path of mass adoption. Most coins today are not worth it, nothing to show for, once the hype dies the real colour will be seen. Another issues is that team nowadays only cares for themselves am still trying to find those that will stick to bringing value which in turn will make their platform or project last long term. Coins like Eth, XLM are growing each day despite the nature of the crypto space because they are solving problems.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: November 28, 2019, 11:34:50 AM
No Bitcoin can't do it alone, it needs the help of other altcoins. But the only issue is that, most altcoins aren't worth it therefore can't be said that they can actually help. Taking a look at the growing number of altcoins and the percentage that really offers value one won't be mistaken for saying they aren't helping but bringing bad names to this space. But nevertheless, we have the likes of ETH, and I believe with more team like that of ETH etc, altcoins will surly help in piloting this space higher.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Clipboard hacking restarted again on: November 28, 2019, 11:30:33 AM
It's been long I once heard this, thought it has been forgotten looks those fraudulent individuals are back again. I think this will only affect users who are always in a haste therefore not having time to check the payment details carefully. I spent time to do mine as issues about money should be taken with all seriousness.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think crypto world needs... on: November 28, 2019, 11:27:59 AM
What do you think the crypto world needs at the moment? (I'm talking about projects)

In my opinion there is no real platform/website that offers everything you need. For example, news, some kind of trading tools or indicators, educational program maybe hot articles etc...

The crypto space needs more of seriousness and genuineness from all users this will then lead to developers and team doing the right thing and not focusing on money alone. The users or investors will also encourage and stop fraudulent activities. In the same way, mass adoption can't happen if the products being created are not efficient enough; all the things you mentioned can come to fruition if team are dedicated just like the founder of Bitcoin. If they are dedicated, they will build efficient products and services.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its a gradual process on: November 25, 2019, 08:57:04 PM
It will actually be a gradual process because nothing good comes easy also, anything worth having is worth waiting for. Bitcoin as well as the blockchain space is still growing although not as fast as it should be but it's taking a step each day. In my own opinion, one of the things slowing this space down is the fake projects which keeps flying around, thus distracting people from seeing the truth and what is obtainable with blockchain. Nevertheless, no matter how long, blockchain has come to stay and adoption will surely be achieved.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all exchange going to Alive in near future? on: November 25, 2019, 08:51:25 PM
The current currencies are 4849 and Markets are 20850 according to the CMC. Is this really working fairly? I think if it was altered, it would better to get more volume and liqudity. Still thinking, the future of Exchangaes.

The simple and blunt truth is, NO. Many exchanges aren't even created for any concrete reason, some don't even have any concept rather than just host an exchange and hope to list new projects. Also, as a result of IEO many exchanges have been created or looks like they are active. Just like other projects or platform in this space, which keeps dying as a result of lack of updates or ideas, same will be the fate of most exchanges in time to come. So be careful of where you keep your funds as well as where you trade.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 25, 2019, 08:47:13 PM
When people compare Bitcoin with other coins or try to say one coin or the other is better than bitcoin I tend to laugh.. Bitcoin dominance keeps growing, people keeps buying Bitcoin in more quantity irrespective of how the market is, yet someone is saying BNB will be the king. Most buys BNB owing to the need for IEO and do you think they will continue to do so? Let's always try to point the facts, Bitcoin will remain king and even ETH will remain better than BNB.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 23, 2019, 05:25:45 PM
I know that the deep web mainly uses cryptos as a means of transactions for people who want to buy things over there, but what type of cryptos are mainly used when making those transactions? It’s just a curious question I have in my mind.

That's would be Bitcoin owing to its prominent nature, although ETH is used to owing to its faster transaction rate. But that doesn't mean other cryptocurrencies aren't used, it all depends on the website and their preferences, then on you the customer and the coin you can lay your hands on or the cryptocurrency which is readily available to you at the moment.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JuSt a wish on: November 23, 2019, 05:18:47 PM
You just stated facts and this have made many "potential" projects go backwards or struggle; we know good exchange contributes to the growth of any project. Now talking about IEO, I think there is more, maybe an agreement which will of course ensure the exchange receives a fat reward. On the case of listing, top exchanges doesn't care about your idea what they are after is their pay and if you can't afford check another exchange; this is actually why most projects gets started on smaller exchanges before moving up.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO: A professional scam on: November 23, 2019, 05:13:42 PM
It's hard really disputing this fact you just stated, because it's the truth. Taking a good look at IEO models in accordance with what happening in exchanges one will agree with you. Investors no longer care about ideas rather the pump and dump taking place. The big question is, some of these IEOs, where are they? What are they solving? How is the platform's growth? I don't think upto 2% of IEOs really mean business other than profit.
Sincerely like you said, there is more to IEO than we can ever know and the best thing is to be smart.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs/IEOS/STOs generating funding in 2019? on: November 23, 2019, 05:07:24 PM
Are token sales pulling investment still, or is it dead?

Sources to facts and stats to support opinions would be great

Being a while I heard anything about other models like ICO and STO, but for sure we know that all Upcoming projects are using IEO while some are successful to a greater extent others aren't; so one can say IEO only is still generating funds. I think the reason why it looks like IEO aren't is, the hype is dieing off and might soon follow the fate of others.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Complete KYC to get Ultra coin tokens on: November 22, 2019, 11:18:10 AM
Earning free tokens has never been easier. Get a great start in joining Ultrablock, a cryptocurrency exchange platform that fuses the intricacies of trading with the fun of social networking and more. All you have to do is complete your KYC to get free Ultra coin tokens (UTL). Know more about the airdrop campaign by visiting Ultrablock.

This is my first time of hearing this exchange and it's asking for KYC to earn free tokens. Top exchange like Binance even has limits without kyc and this one thinks that by offering free tokens via confirmation of kyc it will grow or gain the neccessary attention; it will only end up pushing potential users away. Am not sounding negative but I don't think it's worth it. Personal data security is what blockchain offers but funny how most projects plays with it.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite project these days? on: November 22, 2019, 11:12:48 AM
Taking a good look at this space the best alternative is always Bitcoin and followed closely by ETH. Other top coins can be added but not a priority though. My reason for this is, it has been seen that whenever the market takes a turndown it's only this two tops coins that bounce back faster.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 22, 2019, 11:06:13 AM
Behold good trading volume doesn't mean a coin or token is good, i read in a thread where few people are saying if a coin has no volume means its a bad coin, well here we go, bad coins can have huuuge volume, you must have heard of bomb token? bomb token has good trading volume but guess what? it has no real use case, the volume comes from HYPE because its a deflationary tokens, people believed that the more a max supply of a token get decreased or burned off over time means they are GOLD tokens, it does bring profits to early adopters like they say but NO REAL USE CASES.

Well actually you are right, but you and I know that if a coin doesn't have any good volume we won't buy, and it doesn't end there, the exchange in question might delist it. Thus from all conditions be it a bad or good project or token let it have a good trading volume as that will show the members or potential buyers that the project is at least existing. This is just the reality of things.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a 12 word seed phrase that appears to be wrong (Ethereum) on: November 21, 2019, 08:39:40 AM
Hello everyone...

Hopefully this is the right place to post something like this.

12 ETH was sent to a new Metamask wallet, and the seedphrase written down. We have all 12 words.

But when we try to restore the wallet, all associated addresses seem to be empty.

Does anyone know any software too partially crack Ethereum seed phrases? (Try combinations of similar words)

If you really write down the 12 words by yourself then it means you wrote the wrong thing. My little advice would be to check each word, and most especially the spelling, that's where the mistake might be. That is, you might have written color as colour, something like that. Next time, ensure you cross-check those 12 words and if possible write them down twice.
