61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is An STO? on: April 23, 2020, 04:17:51 PM
With all the current knowledge that we have about STO, I think this article gives a clearer and more in depth insight. But the question still remains, will STO really present the final solution to Cryptocurrency fundraising?

https://elitemininginc.com/2020/04/what-is-an-sto

First, STO stands for Security Token Offering in which investors owns shares in the project. Secondly, till date I have not seen any successful STO (I stand to be corrected), they come with the hype but ends up falling could be that investors are not interested or they find the other type of token offering to be better, that is IEO. Also, since STO has not be successful till date, I doubt if ever it will as even the IEO model is gradually lossing it's hype, if at all there is any (hype) remaining.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility Token on: April 22, 2020, 09:04:33 AM
We have seen a lot of token/coin with the term utility. Everyone come with a shit idea and say the coin will be utilized in this platform, network etc. But how many of them were ever succeeded? Mb8coin is yet to announce that their products can be bought with mb8coin. Lasr time I see they were discussing about accepting half with mb8coin. How can they say like this?
How many utility token/coin you know have real acceptance in their said/promised network? Please share some of them.

Utility? Does that still work? Maybe it might have worked before but nowadays, most project's team, their aim is to make money, some can manage to list to justify their investors and whichever way, once they are listed if at all they will, it ends there. Many projects today don't care about that word and it is alarming; we shout about mass adoption but the projects which are to set it in motion are busy filling their pockets, am not stating mass adoption won't be actualised but first there is needed for the utility of these tokens to be upheld.
Only a few are really trying to make sure their token have utility but more needs to join.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xcard a scam? on: April 22, 2020, 08:35:17 AM
What's happening with Xcard? I participated in this bounty campaign and since months ago now everything seem quiet and no one is talking about the project, is Xcard a scam project or a failed project?

I think the best person to answer this question is the team or the bounty manager can get information from the team and give updates on why everything seems quiet. However it might be justifiable to say that most projects are slowing down developments or are quiet because of the current pandemic. Therefore before assuming it's scam or a failed project, get the neccessary information from the team.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best project for investing in 2020? on: April 21, 2020, 12:53:35 PM
I do not know if you have actually invested or not but if you are yet to I would suggest you visit coinmarketcap and stick to top 50 at least. The virus disrupting everywhere now is not making things easy for anyone so instead of taking risks with upcoming projects it is better to invest in the ones which have already been developed, have good team and still improving. On this note, if I am to suggest, then ETH, BNB and ADA are good; you are still welcome to do yours.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: April 21, 2020, 12:36:38 PM

Hello Crypto friends!

Recently i have known about tether and also facebook libra.

Is those worth investments or waste investments.......?

Because if facebook libra is stable coin then it is wrong investment choice because many crypto investors look for profit coins i mean unlike stable coins they will like coins which get profits.

In my opinion stable coins are bad to invest.

But facebook will change their decision regarding the libra stable coin or the libra coin will also like another tether.

Thanks!

I thought Facebook Libra has been stopped not that I even took it serious, nevertheless on the case of Tether, investing in it doesn't come with any profit because it doesn't grow that means it is a stablecoin. The use of Tether is because of its nature which is to keep or secure funds from being dealt with by bear market, even though there is a bull run it still does not affect Tether in any way. Also, Tether is not bad because it has an advantage which is mostly seen and appreciated during bear market.

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the first reason why fraud projects are increasingly rampant? on: April 17, 2020, 08:34:37 AM
I always complain about ICO projects not just because of rewards? but because of the increasingly rampant project fraud!

on the other hand the first reason why we find it difficult to know about fraud projects or not, because almost most ICO projects look real !!
and this is very unexpected, that there is a site that offers services to create an ICO project complete with ERC20 Tokens!
with only $ 50 a person can make millions of dollars from the results of fraudulent projects HuhHuhHuh

https://www.fiverr.com/wedowo/create-your-ico-website-and-erc20-token

imagine if this continues, then the rich will increasingly become rich !! scamers

ICO projects really came with loads and loads of issues and you just pointed out one of their issues, with this method the team or rather scammers can just create a telegram group, website and the scamming begins, literally they didn't put in more resources but most times leaves with huge amount of money. Nevertheless, good a thing the ICO model is no more and in the case of IEO, reputable exchanges tends to accept the good projects.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new cryptocurrency with new economy on: April 17, 2020, 08:24:44 AM
Although many new projects always say good things about their project or have good ideas but when it come to developing the idea into real products and services the issue of negligence comes in, nevertheless, I think there can always be an exemption. Your team can change status quo if they stick to their development and roadmap, because in the crypto space, starting a project, bringing out the working products and continuing improvement is some of the steps that make a project valuable; hope your team will followup till the end.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 17, 2020, 08:05:36 AM
Scammers in Telegram, well, there are scammers without Telegram, just why position a beautiful creation like Telegram with scammers, Telegram is a multi-functional tool with the ability to create a bot and a lot of other functionality, but as the question comes to do something useful through Telegram, many say telegram and there are scammers.

To be frank I was first uncomfortable with the title, I think the best thing is, why are there many scammers or fraudsters in telegram? Telegram is never associated with scammers just that scammers are always after places with huge opportunities such as telegram. In telegram are many scammers just like in other social media accounts and whether on telegram or not, there is huge reasons to be careful, mind the people you chat with and many more because there are clones of real people.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Wallet Token discussion. on: April 15, 2020, 08:56:18 AM
Trust Wallet is the famous and most downloaded wallet right now. Everybody knows they've already issued their BEP2 based utility token Trust Wallet Token (TWT). They recently distributed tokens from referral campaign. Almost 63.5K holder currently holding their TWT tokens. I've also received my referral earnings.

What your perception on TWT token? What will be the probable value when Binance list TWT token?

In as much as anyone can hardly predict the crypto space but to an extent, a thing or two can be said about some projects. In the case of Trust wallet, it is a good wallet from a good team and owing to its innovative nature led to a huge community. On the other hand, as the token is anticipated to be listed on Binance, many things comes to mind and one is, good use case backed by hype will be in place which will be a good thing that will drive the price at the mean time. Since it already have a good community that believes in it, further token value will then depend on the team and their ideas.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 15, 2020, 08:39:21 AM
How can we safe ourselves from well organized scam projects? Some projects are so well crafted and in the end they scam people, to my own understand research doesn't help here at all, use case, whitepaper, team, every thing are so real and make sense, please give advice about this

This is true that most projects which later scammed once had good whitepaper, potential use case etc which make me most of the times fancy IEOs on top exchanges as the rate of exit scam is little to none. Nevertheless, what can we do than to increase our study skills, learning from how others were able to scam even when seen as good projects and using it as a basis to learn more about others. Also, another way most people tend to follow is waiting till the project is listed on good exchanges. However, in all sincerity, it is hard knowing how to spot scam projects because humans can't be predicted so at all times be watchful.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheating or Not? on: April 15, 2020, 08:23:05 AM
Cheating or NOT Cheating?

Coming from altcoinstalk forum I've experience few projects going against their own rules like saying on promotion page that no KYC will be required and after promotion ends they tell promoters to go and open account on an exchange and pass KYC, what can this be called? Cheating? Any consequences for such projects on this forum? Thank you.

No it is not cheating and to the best of my knowledge both the team and the bounty manager have the right to add, remove or change the rules the way it pleases them, at least it is rightly stated on the bounty thread. With this change in rules happening often and on, I think it is better the person allows himself to be flexible and be open to any change in rules whenever it comes so that he won't end up working and lose all at the end because he couldn't meet up with the new rules.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 15, 2020, 08:11:54 AM
How much you can earn in airdrop and bounty? Which is the fastest way in earning?

The simple answer is bounty since you have the opportunity to participate in various campaigns, that is to say, the more campaigns you participate in the more reward you will get. Also know that, just like in Airdrops were one need to check the project to know if it is worth participating in or promoting, same is applicable in bounty, you will need to check it to make sure you won't waste your time.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market? on: April 13, 2020, 09:09:40 AM
People do so maybe when their expectations weren't met at all, not even half of it or if the team aren't passing Information to the entire users on the latest achievements, upgrades etc; it could be for a number of reasons and most of the times they are right. Most team are just not serious and will use every given opportunity to shift blames thus when bear market starts they shift the blame without doing anything to keep the users active let alone working on their project which leads to lose of interest from the users thus further decrease in price of the platform's token.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone trading Stellar coin? on: April 13, 2020, 08:40:14 AM
Crypto experts? The same ones who have been giving different predictions on several coins which never worked? What if it doesn't go as planned, who are we going to blame? Since we aren't going to blame them then it is wise to make every investment based on our own research and due diligence. My own point of view, for Stellar (XLM), yes it is a top coin and worthy for holding as well but however we ought to know the crypto space is filled with panic, uncertainty etc which makes it unpredictable so let's endeavour to check all risks before taking to heart what the experts said about it.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto.com investment legit and safe? on: April 13, 2020, 08:24:10 AM
Every investment comes with its own risks and that's the truth of it, no matter how attractive the benefits are, always ensure to make your research about the project. Crypto.com used to be known as Monaco and it has been around for some time and still active, with a decent volume and occupying a position on the top 100 on coinmarketcap at least shows the project is legit. Nevertheless, if you want to invest, make sure to carryout your due diligence to know if it suits you, and lastly it's listed on top exchanges.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn and learn and keep learning will safe you from lots of foul play on: April 13, 2020, 08:07:07 AM
In addition to all you have said which is of course true, most people hardly tell newbies or those showing interest of joining the crypto space the truth or rather the reality of things on ground.  They might have different reasons but that doesn't cut the fact that, the risks etc that exists within the crypto space must be told. Most people join with different expectations and when it is not met are quick to say funny things which points to the fact, they lacked adequate knowledge. So at every point in time, in our own little ways lets make sure the risks etc of the crypto space is being explained this will go a long way in keeping them safe from scams, pump and dump coins etc. Lastly explaining what exists in the crypto space will increase their urge to learn more thus leading to more learning.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who knows about this Token 駒 塲 良 隆 ??? on: April 11, 2020, 06:44:58 PM
Recently to wallet ERC20 received in great amount Token 駒塲良隆

from wallet - etherscan.io/token/0x3d4f1203b7b32b07fb5f3bebe218c154aae023fd?a=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

What is this Token  ?

This is a joke to be sincere and I wonder what the creator is aiming to achieve with such token. First the name shows something is off, like how can someone without a Chinese background pronounce it, then followed by the supply which is really nothing to write home about. Since you stated you just received the coin, I would implore you to just ignore and count it as a joke , it has no future and won't go anywhere. Seriously, anyone thinking of investing is only but harming himself.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unfinished Projects on: April 10, 2020, 06:18:16 PM
Since 2018 I have seen many new projects that come into crypto space with half plan and got the rest on roadmap, developers should stop this bad habit of introducing projects that aren't finished yet because many of them only get abandoned in the end, some have bad intent of grabbing money from ICO or fundraising and run away

To all investors out there think twice before you invest your money on projects that have promising future but haven't reached half way of production already, they are mostly red flags

You just stated the whole truth, there are many projects doing this every now and then because they have come to understand that once most investors sees they have already started working on something they will invest with the hope that the project will continue working and improving but it always doesn't workout well. Nowadays we see projects which accesses enough funding from public sale, only to end up having very terrible volume with nothing absolutely to account for, meaning they abandoned everything. Thus showing that, only a very few number of projects starts something, get funding and still continues; if only many are truthfully working on the idea they started with, the blockchain world would have gone far, nevertheless blockchain will continue growing.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: April 10, 2020, 05:57:33 PM
Do you even know the difference between Centralized wallets and Dec wallets? Days back I lost my coinbase account and the team aren't helping, I'm glad I only have little Bitcoin on the account, would have been a different story if I use coinomi or atomic wallet because they give users 💯 control over their funds, private keys and recovery seed are important, always remember that

Example of Centralized wallets
1. Coinbase
2. Nexo
3. Luno
4. Xapo
5. Freewallet

Any wallets that ask you create an account with mail and password is centralized, they monitor your private keys for you, be smart

The first and main idea of blockchain is decentralization, that is, users are in charge of their details and so forth, centralization on the other hand goes against this idea, hence users are still at the mercy of these platforms, if their funds isn't stolen by the platform (in some cases though), it gets hacked etc. Hence, i agree with you totally, these centralized wallets should be avoided at all cost because it reduces security of assets which is also the same reason it is not safe to save assets on centralized exchanges. As for me, there is a greater feeling that comes with being in charge of your assets and knowing that no one monitors it apart from you.
