141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO legalities in 2020? on: February 19, 2020, 11:05:23 AM
Even though ICO's have lost the appeal lately.

I was just wandering about the legalities. The SEC website confuses me. In the eyes of the SEC are true utility tokens still classed as securities in the USA? Is this why many companies avoid the USA when it comes to ICO's?

If a company from outside the USA releases a token, do they have to comply with SEC regulations to enable usa investors?

I am not from the usa but live here now. Is it a resident or a citizen issue?

I see it as they are trying to safeguard their citizens from scam ICOs. We all know what happened during the ICO era, the scam was too much and although SEC rules and regulations are strict they try as much as they can to ensure safety first. Owing to sec regulations most people from the US prefers going to other countries to host a crypto project, but in all reality I can say SEC really helped to reduce the number of fraudulent projects from taking place. Since ICOs are dead and gone no need to bother about them again.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 18, 2020, 11:28:12 AM
It is indeed ridiculous that a project which raised such amount of money can't even offer anything till now nor have a good trading volume, which shows that the team played everyone through hype and have taken their leave because they have gotten what they wanted. There are many projects working on their ideas and yet are active in the community as well as listed on good exchanges with good volume why will this be different if they aren't after their pockets. It's better to move on because it is clear they have nothing to give to the community, to the crypto space nor the world at large.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: February 18, 2020, 11:15:56 AM
The space is getting larger and have more coins than we expect, some just makes up the numbers even after 2-3 years of launch; no use case, incompetent teams and some with team exit scam but still on exchange . I dont know why I feel they should die than than adding up to the challenge of altseason pump, dont like the sight on the coinmarketcap as well as the exchange. Some feelings for death might be different, so share your thought on this.

There are many altcoins which should die because it's evident there is nothing to gain from them but how can they die when they are still getting attention. This is also applicable to exchanges which are homes of worthless coins with nothing good to show for. Furthermore there are some projects which had a good ICO but never listed and are busy giving irrelevant excuses is it good to still be involved with them,? No. The fact is, concentrating on those altcoins or exchanges are not worth it, rather take the energy to where it is needed, look towards the coins bringing value and respect to this space such as Bitcoin etc as for the worthless coins they will continue dying off.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: February 18, 2020, 11:09:01 AM
Nothing more can be added because this is true and can never be battled with. Most projects always present a good and attractive look, write good whitepapers and lightpapers, have good admins and to round it up have a good website but when it comes to delivering they have nothing to deliver therefore I agree with you, invest what you can afford to lose while hoping for the best. On the other hand, there are still some projects which starts off with their own funds, reached a particular height then starts seeking for public offer; although this type most of the times offers good prospects nevertheless let's invest what we can afford to lose. To finish up, loving a single coin is a No No as it blinds one from seeing what others have to offer; having one or two good altcoins is good in addition to BTC.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At the end of the year! on: February 17, 2020, 12:20:20 PM
I don't know why crypto experts/analysts always play safe by saying at the end of the year that coin price will go in that place/price! So, people wait 12 months to see it if they are right or wrong?! At the end of 2017, that was a miracle and after that so-called analyzer keeps predicting a high price by setting the timeline at the end of the year! We saw what happened in 2018 and 2019! It's better to learn the price chart and see other things to make your own prediction and strategy. Don't fall in words guys that Reddit co-owner, or Twitter owner or any other big names predict a high price, always do your own research in every sector in crypto. Good Luck.

Anyone who goes about listening to all these guys that predicts or speculate prices of coins needs serious help. Yes 2017 was a good year but ever since then all experts and analysts having been saying one thing or the other about coin prices and just like you said, mostly towards the end of the year, yet none hit the target thus turning most to bag holders. What I have figured out is, these price analysis always comes during uptrend in price of coins in the market. Gradually people are learning and taking the right steps, but yet more are still yet to learn. Since we are always in charge of our decisions we make while buying any coin it's wise we make proper research so as to limit the chances of unfortunate events.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BNB after 5 years? on: February 17, 2020, 12:07:58 PM
What happens to BNB coin after 5 years? Because then you get no discount anymore? Then what is the purpose of BNB anymore?

Actually no one can predict tomorrow rather we can only take adequate steps to ensure our tomorrow is secured which is the reason why most people invest in different businesses etc. Now talking about BNB, let's go its platform that is the exchange; the exchange is growing rapidly with many features and services being adopted every now and then. The fact is, the CEO is looking for ways to make Binance exchange the best of best; he has added support for more fiat and many more. So taking a look at Binance exchange does it look like it's going down anytime soon? I don't think so, now since there is still more rooms for growth that is to say, BNB will continue to be valuable.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake freewallet mails, Beware on: February 17, 2020, 12:00:00 PM
That's is, spreadsheet and fake Airdrops are the easiest ways to get emails reason why it's important for bounty managers to always hide their participants emails for security reasons. Also, it is good you pointed it out for others to leans and take caution about it as most might be gullible to fall for such. Furthermore, you can access your account, change password or take other precautionary measures to ensure the safety of your account.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's website is asking private keys of the holders. on: February 15, 2020, 01:38:51 PM
A project asking for private keys of holders have something up its sleeves which the most gullible users don't know. Those who have been in this space for long will know such a case scenario means letting of all authority over your assets that is to say you are getting scammed. While those who are new to such things will innocently release their keys thinking it's the right thing. Private keys is meant to be private there is nothing that can be said about it and anyone or project asking for such is likely to dupe or scam the person. Whatever control we have over our assets should never be surrounded to anyone.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnership Compulsory in new projects life? on: February 14, 2020, 08:31:05 PM
Hello everyone, I would like you to share about how important 'partnerships' are in every new projects, I personally thinks it matters a lot because with good partnerships every challenges either with fund raising or other will be easily neutralized, what do you think? wrong or right?

Like they said, no man is an island which is why most giant cooperations partners with many companies or organisations so as to increase their chances of survival and growth. Now in the crypto space, same can be said; there are platforms which first start up something then seeks for partners who believes or will believe in what they are building. Through this way, they will raise funds, secure other important things which will help the platform to grow. Lastly the type of partners matters as people will tend to analyse to see if it is in accordance to what the platform stands for or not. So yes, partnership matters in new projects life.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: February 13, 2020, 10:00:10 PM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.

In as much as you said the truth, yet I think it will be difficult to achieve. Even with the vulnerability of centralized exchanges, more and more users keeps going for them, the big question is why? The answer is, centralized exchanges offer a more user-friendly system where it is easy to navigate etc. It also offer more trading tools unlike it's counterpart; in addition is, they have huge volume of which everyone knows that volume matter alot in any exchange. On the other hand, decentralized exchanges offer more security but lacks the features found in centralized exchanges. Therefore I think, until decentralized exchanges steps up their game they will still be lagging behind.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: February 13, 2020, 09:54:07 PM

As the subject goes, what could be the main factor?

Famous developer, Media reputation, MM... or Just technology itself?

So far, it seemed that marketing and market marking were the main factors...

Btw, has anyone experienced BISPEX exchange known as its insurance funding?

I would have said the team but yet what are they team without an idea of innovation or technology; therefore I think the first and foremost thing to consider in any project is the technology within that said project and how it will play a vital role in the world at large. This role the said technology will play is what will determine its valuable nature as time goes on. In the same way, followed by technology is the developers after which marketing comes to play. Developers in this case can be likened to the a certain section of the team so is marketing.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Away of this scam Coin on: February 12, 2020, 07:53:29 PM
On a more serious note, how can someone trade with this type of small orders. Also I wonder what a project will be doing in such exchanges, no serious team will develop a project, spend time and efforts only to list it in an inadequate exchange, it doesn't add up and I see such projects as unworthy of investing. Yes there are exchanges that are expensive to list on at the same time there are others that an upcoming project can list on first, gain momentum and then move to bigger ones. No will spend time and money to develop a project and watch it go down the drain if he isn't after something personal. So in all, I do not trust this project as well as the exchange; let's be careful and always take note of projects and exchanges they are listed on. Lastly, thanks for sharing to educate all and sundry.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My objective opinion, why cryptocurrency will live and develop on: February 12, 2020, 07:45:26 PM
I will give you a simple example. Remember that when debit cards appeared, people also treated it with caution, because many did not understand how it works and why it was necessary? but after they began to understand, they realized that it is very convenient and makes life easier for us, the same applies to cryptocurrency - this is the newest technology of the 21st century, the world does not stand still and every day invents something new. Therefore, I believe that coriptocurrency is the future, we just need more time for the whole world to understand this technology. what do you think?  Cool

You have said the truth and nothing but the truth. Cryptocurrency is the future I only believe it will take time for the whole world to accept it but eventually they will because they will be left with no choice. Secondly the only issue here is, when taking a look at the level of growth expected it tends to be slow owing to high level of scams, pump and dump, useless projects coming up with funny and unrealistic ideas etc, all these are slowing us down. We need more determined projects who are after what the future holds not those who are after their own pockets.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why exchange coins moving up.. on: February 12, 2020, 12:05:29 PM
There was a time when investors and newbies went on a crazy spree to invest on exchange tokens like BNB, OKB, BIX, HUOBI TOKEN, Kucoin Shares and Aurora...

Many of them strated pumping from 3-4 days and it was not a small one. I have seen that this happens when BTC moves big. What is your opinion on this..?

That's true, I remembered acting in such manner where I bought an exchange coin and it dumped badly I had to sell off and since then learnt my lesson. To me I find it more entertaining getting involved with exchanges whose team are ready to work, bring up ideas, bring up features which will attract all manner of users, this is what makes an exchange coin valuable; such example is BNB. Therefore holding such coins, one is always closer to profit. Also in my own opinion, many people see the surge in price of Bitcoin as an opportunity to hold some of these coins (because an uptrend in the price of Bitcoin always draws other potential coins) which in turn makes them to increase in value as more are getting into it..
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 12, 2020, 11:56:43 AM
In the next bull run, Do you also believe that XRP will reach this high or do you think that this is impossible?
Are you one of those crypto investors that dislike XRP because it is centralized and most prefered to invest in other cryptos like bitcoin and ethereum?

As the article said:
"It is believed that crypto investors dislike XRP because it is arguably more centralized than Bitcoin or Ethereum."

Source: XRP Price Could Reach $14 Breaking Out from Two-Year Bear Market

Well it's true most people dislike XRP because it is centralized but looking past that issue in question, one will see a coin trying it's best to remain relevant. The team keeps looking for more ways to break every boundary through partnerships etc and it's pretty working. However that doesn't mean it is better than ETH or other altcoins in top 5 position. Nevertheless, saying that XRP will reach such high price during the next bull run do not really add up; I do not believe so. 14$ is too high, rather 1-2$ might be achievable.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Brave the best crypto friendly web browser? on: February 12, 2020, 11:51:37 AM
Toolbars like Pei and Lolli seem great at earning small amounts of Bitcoin.  However, Brave seems like the best browser to actually get rewarded for just surfing the web.  Are there any others?

Yes I am still using brave broswer, in fact it is one of most user-friendly browser you can think of with good user interface of course. Also, although I have not tried earning through it but from the little review from friends they seems to be enjoying it. Another point is, it is a privacy broswer which also have made it gained more value in the midst of various users. Another browser which is also user-friendly is Chrome browser which is followed by Opera. If am to rate, I would rate Brave first, Opera second and Chrome third.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 10, 2020, 10:50:26 PM
In beginning of 2018 there were a lot of alcoins was launched in market, Most of them was just to scam people with typically referral method by social influencers.

This was also a flaw of Ethereum blockchain where any single person can create his own coin with his desired supply and name by costing very low fee.

As with the help of Ethereum blockchain where it was super easy to generate any coin it was easy to launch any ico with high promising goals and convince people to make their money multiple x.

Those scam or ordinary platform make alt market dirty game. And this impact very badly on the genion project where many traders lost their interest.

I do not really agree with your second paragraph, if that was really a flaw most platforms today won't be existing, most projects which moved to their own blockchain might have faced unwarranted issues. Ethereum blockchain really made launching a project easy but it was us that gave those projects the power; while we helped most projects to stand through investing etc at the same time most made away with our funds. Also, there is no doubt there are many useless coins around but we shouldn't forget there are good ones too and therefore in order to stop the growth of these worthless coins it's neccessary to focus on those with real use case etc. Let's always study every project to be sure before investing.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you notice top exchanges reduced the withdrawal fee? on: February 10, 2020, 10:40:17 PM
This is great news for every crypto trader that all the top exchanges like Binance, Okex, Kucoin, Huobi reduced the withdrawal fee by 50%! At this moment the Ethereum withdrawal fee is 0.005 ETH, which was 0.01 ETH in all these exchanges!

A healthy competition is really good in every Industry and these exchanges keeps leading the way. I think it was Binance that started it first followed by Okex. There are exchanges still maintaining their withdrawal fee. Also, this reduction in price can be arguably linked to the increase in price of various coins so it looks reasonable to reduce the price. Should there be a downtrend, they might likely increase it again. But my own interest is the fact they are having a healthy competition while putting things in place to accommodate all users thus maintaining their competitive advantages.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins do you Hold ? on: February 10, 2020, 10:31:28 PM
Hi im new @ Bitcointalk and this is my first post  Smiley

Im into Crypto since 2016 so i saw big climbs off different Coins and i saw the market bleeding. At this time I had a lot of different coins some of them are already gone so i won and afterwards i lost money.

Im still into IOTA which i think is a really good investment and in NEO, Link and till 1 week i´ve invested in BTCT and started a MN. I had about 100 ETH but sold waaay to early...  Angry

So now to my questions:
which coins do you prefer and Hold ?
what do you think about the coins i´ve invested in ?

Thanks and sorry for my bad English Grin

BTCT? Never heard of that. However, I still think you made a good choice though, IOTA and NEO are good pick but this BTCT is what I don't know or have a say on. Also, in my own opinion, although you sold your ETH too early it isn't still a bad time taking a look at it again as holding it really worth it. Asking about the coins I prefer and hold, just two and they are BTC and ETH; I hold these two long term while I do mid-term hold on coins that have value.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 10, 2020, 10:19:52 PM
Recently I have seen the news that Trezor hardware wallet was hacked in 15 minutes! Was it true guys? Or I have misunderstood? I thought they have very strong security that can't be breach so easily! But look at what can be happened to Trezor within 15 minutes! So, how can we feel 100% safe in hardware wallet?

Although am yet to read the news but I still think it offers a better form of security, at least it's better than saving in exchanges. The thing is in this space, owing to its value and worth people are constantly looking for ways to hack or exploit users, holders and investors of their hard earned money. Which has lead to more hacks etc and therefore making it look like in this crypto space users funds can't be 100% secure while they really can. So I still maintain my stand, hardware wallets are secured and in the meantime will check up the news on that hacking.
