241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OkEx Korea removes all privacy coins on: September 21, 2019, 08:05:35 PM
That's one of the things about centralized exchanges, and the reason Okex targeted this group of cryptocurrencies is that, they don't conform to their bidding. Privacy coins are meant to be used for anonymous activities, anything short than that will only go against the reason why it's created. However, I only see Okex sticking to regulations and this news will have little or no effect on the crypto space.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing new. on: September 21, 2019, 08:01:34 PM
Today in crypto, Tokens, wallets, exchanges, and even DEX is easily done.  What would it take impress you nowadays?
That's the issue, it is easily done, but is it done in the right way? Many developers just jump in developing all these you mentioned so as to attract investors and that's all. After their launch check those things they developed, only few will still be intact, working or upgraded while a majority will run from one issue to another. As for me, the only thing I want is the stable growth of these space with functional products and services.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrencies depend on the understanding of the community on: September 20, 2019, 08:19:49 PM
I agree with you, there is need for people to understand what lies within blockchain and crypto so as to make better decisions and choices. The funny thing, till date when you tell some people about the crypto space their mind always points to Bitcoin that's to show the level of backwardness existing as if Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency in existence. Nevertheless, it's just a matter of time and also at every given opportunity we should endeavour to educate people on what crypto is all about.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many crypto exchanges are really required? on: September 20, 2019, 07:58:55 PM
You are right, majority are exchanges thus making it difficult for one to keep track of his accounts not forgetting the fact that some might request for KYC. Also, you will notice that most of these new exchanges do not last, because once you sell a token which is newly listed there, you might not visit the exchange again till further notice, now imagine how many people doing same. The funny thing is, even after selling we still take the funds to major exchanges for trading as the case maybe. Therefore most of these new exchanges we need to be careful of them because it's evident they can't compete with the likes of Binance, Okex etc.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: September 20, 2019, 07:52:08 PM
They just create some kind of hype once or twice in a month or week and make their profit with fake exchanges and forget about it, I am talking about the developers of those kind of altcoins which are not performing and these are totally waste for crypto market and also creating confusion for new people who are entering in crypto world so what's your opinions. Useless altcoins must be remove from crypto market if it happens then it would be great and very beneficial for crypto world.
I think the issue is, we are the ones giving these useless coins attention thus making it possible for them to exist in the first place. Most people only think of profit thus investing in most coins which will later not work according to their target then they will turn back and lament. Let's check the number of altcoins coming up everyday and how many that are loving upto expectations? Like you said, some are nothing but hype and some of these hype were created by the exchange promoting them (in the case of IEO) etc and once done, the investors are to fend for themselves.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to invest safely in cryptocurrency? on: September 20, 2019, 07:46:50 PM
if I think personally a safe way to invest in cryptocurrency is :

1. the project runs according to the roadmap and whitepaper that has been made;
2. cryptocurrency that we invest in already has a product;
3. the team always updates about the progress that is happening in the project that we invest;
4. invest in project that are in the top 1-500 in coinmarketpcap (have a high volume);
5. the project we want to invest has been running for a long time (if I personally never invested in a new project), because investing in new project has a greater risk than we invest in old project.

Well you really outlined good points, road map is meant to act as a guide to direct the team but nowadays many are just deviating thus ending up building entirely different things, while those that followed their roadmap no matter how hard it is are doing well. Also, in terms of updating the community about the progress made etc, most are also found wanting and when asked you will be surprised at their answer. Furthermore, I personally thinks top 500 is too much as you might find it hard making a good choice, so I think top 100 is okay or even lesser.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can exchanges steal my ether on: September 19, 2019, 09:56:12 PM
You logged in with your private keys and forgot to logout, that means someone might have accessed your account or someone might have accessed your private keys. Since you are logged in, it is easy to access your wallet which your friend might have done. Sorry about that, since you are the type that don't normally logout of exchanges, henceforth I think it's wise to lock your browser applications on phone or lock your PC where you normally access your exchange account with, so that someone will not ask to access the internet with your phone and ends up accessing your account; if possible learn the act of logging out. And also, store your private keys in a safe place and trust no one.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins PurgeThe Advantages Brought By Bear Market on: September 19, 2019, 09:48:34 PM
So many projects or coins are dying or become shitcoins because of the bear market and only coins with real potential in the market has a chance to make it through the bull run.
Do you think the bear market is a good way to purge coins that are not worthy to be in the market, I believe the bear market is a good parameter to see if the market has a good potential.
Yes I believe you, the bear market has really exposed many projects as well as teams, it has made us understand that many of these projects are just worthless with no future while their team are only there to take profit while being clueless on what to do or how to run the platform. On the other hand, few projects which knew their goals and objectives are striving gradually while maintaining constant platform improvements. So from the nature of the market now, it is evident only few projects will survive long term while many are certainly pump and dump coins thus will die off soon.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: September 19, 2019, 09:41:31 PM
Crypto going to zero? I do not believe this will happen, but saying certain coins will go to zero then I will believe, in fact majority are already zero while more are the path to zero. In this space, there are coins with great value like Bitcoin; now in the case of Bitcoin I do not believe it will head to zero rather it will grow as time goes by amidst the ups and downs of the crypto space. On the other hand, other coins which are yet to figure out their reason for existence will head to zero that's for sure and I don't hold such coins, in fact my top holding coins are Bitcoin and ETH. The more platforms adopts various crypto, the more it grows but with respect to the coin in question.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altar coins seems foolish ? on: September 19, 2019, 09:37:13 PM
Cry I had some investment. What I understand in a short period of trading.Altar coins are foolish to hold long.Whenever I hold coins, I lose.Is there any way to get rid of it? If you know please be benefited.
I tend to believe you mean alternative coins that is altcoins, if am correct, it is not generally foolish to hold altcoins but it looks kinda bad holding worthless coins. Now what I mean by worthless coins are the ones we know aren't backed by any real use or use case, but instead owing to hype or so recommendations, we bought without due diligence; this approach is wrong in this case have higher probability of leading to losses. Also, I stand to be corrected, the coins you are holding which are dropping in value might be one of these coins, but if it's the likes of ETH etc, then there is no need to panic as it is one of the best.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altcoins can get you Rekt on: September 18, 2019, 08:42:03 PM
Often times I read various posts of people/traders/investors preaching HODLing some altcoins for years and so on thus I took some to research on altcoins 3years and guess what? Most of the altcoins in 2016 are no more to found anymore. You can take a deep look as well via https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/20160103/

My candid advise is to trade with the five senses intact and not with emotions. Don't get on some shitcoins with the intention to hold for years else you might get rekt.
Holding is not actually the issue, moreover those who held ETH and BTC last year to this year made good profits, I think the issue here is the type of coin you are holding; who are the team? what is it solving? Is there an already developed product which is currently working and constantly updated? These and many more are to be considered before one ventures into holding, if not taken into consideration then the person gambling with his funds. Furthermore, another problem is that most people instead of doing their own research prefers to believe whatsoever some groups (or experts) says about a coin. Like I stated earlier, holding is never the issue but what prompted the person into holding; there is no doubt, many will cease to exist but there are some which will continue to wax stronger.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption growing or decreasing? on: September 18, 2019, 08:34:46 PM
Following 10 years of presence, the subject of whether the mass reception of digital currency has been begun is still bantered in the space. I would like to ask specialists in the crypto and blockchain businesses is there or have there be any huge crypto mass adoption compare to 10years ago?
Mass adoption is growing slowing, and just like they said, slow and steady wins the race, I think this is the nature of this space now. However, when you check many news channels, be it on Telegram or twitter etc, you will see traces of various platforms adopting blockchain or certian cryptocurrencies they think will work perfect for them. In addition, I think for mass adoption to be achieved quickly, then there is need for us to focus on those projects which are trustworthy and worth the money, not some random projects filled with hype which dies off as quickly as possible. Thus, by focusing on good projects with working products, mass adoption will be quicken.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The three biggest mistakes you should avoid on: September 18, 2019, 08:29:05 PM
This is good and certainly the major reasons which has dealt with investors, users or traders in various ways. However, I think capital management should be the first as it goes a long way to determine the success rate of the person in question through determining the amount he trades with etc. Also, most people lacks the knowledge needed for trading, thus allowing FOMO to get hold of them which of course leads them into many issues of which buying at the wrong time is one. From all these as well as those stated by you it points to lack of adequate knowledge of the activities within this space.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy coins getting delisted on: September 18, 2019, 08:19:42 PM
This news looks like it will have a huge effect on privacy coins but I doubt if it will happen, because privacy coins are there to keep users informations on check , thus I don't see much to it other than an exchange trying to obey regulations. There are already other exchanges where these coins are listed and doubt if they will all delist, nevertheless there have to be plan B for these privacy coins and owing to their decentralized nature, I think DEXs will be the best bet.

256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects plan from the very start on: September 15, 2019, 09:46:45 PM
You raised good points and as funny as it might sound, that's what most team are doing although not all. I have seen many projects that took this steps you just mentioned not forgetting the hype that followed it as of then. On the other hand, I have seen some projects which started on small exchanges and later did well as well as listing on a bigger exchange. In my own opinion, it is all planned but in this case, while some team plans for success others plan for fraud, thus it's a two way thing and therefore neccessary for us to look beyond any hype etc and check the legitimacy of any project.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS IT A SIGN OF FAILURE OR Scam? on: September 15, 2019, 09:41:11 PM
I have seen series of signature bounty campaigns that make their payments in bitcoin and ethereum for people of high ranks in the forum to wear their signature code, avatar and personal text.
These people of high ranks are sometimes seen by the newbies as the experts who can only or mostly campaign for projects with great potentials. The project teams seems to also believe this to the point that they pay them in bitcoin or ethereum in believe that those high rank members wearing their signature codes will attract investors for them.
Some of these projects end up being a waste of investors' funds and times.
Now my point is, if the high rank signature hunters really believe a cryptocurrency project will be success, why don't they accept it as payment? Does it mean they already foresee that the token will end up being a shit in the end?

KONOIS (KON) token is an example of such projects
Every team decides the type of bounty they want, while some will go for signature, some will go for various campaigns while some might stick to only YouTube, it all depends on the type of result they want. Also, just like the team decides the type of bounty they want, they also decide the mode of payment. Thus from all these, it can be seen that the participants in each case only conform to what the team wants. And lastly, no bounty participant can really forsee the success of any project as they only spread the word while the team either  continues to develop the project or exist scam.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 14, 2019, 10:15:41 PM
Your facts are right though, but I see it in another way. Any "good" project which goes ahead to list on a shit exchange purposely does so and as such questioning the genuineness of that project, that is, is it really a good project? Most times a project might be filled with hype and once the team have collected enough funds will proceed to list in a shit exchange with the excuse that they want to develop their products, the exchange of course will help kill the price in the end, the team will blame the exchange and that's the end of the project; no one will hear anything again about it as investors will partly blame the exchange as well as the team.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain-based social media worth it? on: September 14, 2019, 10:05:34 PM
One of the reasons why blockchain based social media platforms are yet to overtake current existing like Facebook etc is that most blockchain developers only care of profits and nothing else, which is why once they come up with the idea and manage to launch a platform they will relent. Only Steemit till date is the only platform still growing although there are challenges but it is trying its best to remain relevant; that's the type of spirit we want. There was one which challenged Facebook but funny enough it couldn't continue, wonder what happened. So in all sincerity, we need more blockchain based social media platforms like Steemit which can challenge status quo because in the future blockchain will be highly appreciated.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think advisors help new projects? on: September 14, 2019, 09:45:09 PM
Yes they do, but the good ones in this case while there are different case scenarios. That is, just like there are team or developers without appropriate knowledge of the project they want to launch, same is with advisors. Also, there are cases where advisors are used to hype a project, in such cases one needs to be careful because the team might only be after profit and nothing more. Furthermore, I think the best way to judge advisors is by checking their relevant experience and connecting it with the project they wish to offer advice on, to see if it matches.
