101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 27, 2020, 07:51:45 PM
In my own opinion, I think it will take time for any other method of Initial offering to come to fruition if ever there would be one, as IEO seems to be a better one till date. Although IEO might not work out well on some exchanges but in some it tends to give good returns. And another thing is, once it is done on a good exchange there is a good chance of success hence making it extremely different from ICO and I come to wonder what a new Initial offering model would look like. Therefore I agree with you, there might not be a new Initial offering model for the time being.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Corona Virus has killed all cryptocurrency spaces! on: March 27, 2020, 07:43:48 PM
Btw If COVID-19 cannot be completely resolved, especially in every country affected by the corona virus outbreak?

what about the fate of the next cryptoqurrency industry?
I think, this virus not only inhibits activities throughout the world and can even be said to have killed the entire cryptoqurrency space!

Can same be thought of the stock market, I mean do you think that this virus is capable of killing the stock market? I believe the answer is NO. Although the crypto market can't be likened to the stock market but yet I do not think it will get a stage where the entire cryptocurrency space will die or cease to exist, it will only be limited in growth for a while but can never be killed as it has a lot to offer in the future, both technology-wise and money-wise.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn money during coronavirus? Is it possible by crypto coins? on: March 26, 2020, 09:32:26 PM
Yes they are good ways to earn during this trying times. Taking time to study bounty campaigns is a good way to start so you don't end up wasting your time. For the Airdrops, well they actually pays but needs one to be extremely careful least he ends up either wasting time or being scammed; scammed, that is, there are airdrops which asks for payment first in order to get the airdrop reward and there are some which asks users for their private keys. About crypto trading, this requires a concrete knowledge of trading so that one can be on the safer side else huge losses and regret might be incurred.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 26, 2020, 09:17:36 PM
When something costs someone or costs people their time, efforts and funds they will put their heart into it, that is to say, that thing in question matters to them. What am saying is, both investors and  hunters values cryptocurrencies and I can't say who values it more because each of them input what he has at that point in time; for bounty hunters they input their time, effort, resources (social media accounts etc) and little funds for data services while investors input their funds and time as well. So from all indications, both are needed to drive a platform forward and both really values their cryptocurrencies.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: March 26, 2020, 08:18:25 PM
From my own view this question of if we will still continue to freefall is a matter of one thing, which is finding a cure for this virus and this alone will change the world market in a huge way because positive news is one of the driving force in any market. So therefore, I might not say we are out of the bear market or when it will be over but I can say there are huge chances of us getting out as cryptocurrency market has proven to be better than other markets.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: March 25, 2020, 09:08:45 PM
Many have made this mistake of holding altcoins and then exiting the telegram group which ends up bad for them most times. From one side you can't really blame the project because they are aiming for efficient services hence the need to migrate to a new blockchain or their blockchain thus the reason for swapping which some users always miss. In my own opinion, i agree with you, if you tend to hold for long always check the group or any possible channel once in while to be updated on the happenings within the platform.
107  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's try to stop bad people, one try can safe someone on: March 25, 2020, 08:57:02 PM
Actually you are right but stopping scammers might be a herculean task which might even be unrealistic because they keep coming up with many strategies and utilizing every opportunity to scam people. They are using this virus as a means to scam people because they know the fear which this virus caused everywhere can make people seek easy solution hence a perfect time to defraud innocent people. The only way one can try to help is through asking the important questions, making research and knowing if at all the idea is achievable or not.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance charity launches with $1million donation. on: March 25, 2020, 08:42:38 PM
This is really good of Binance exchange and its CEO, the exchange is indeed leading. Yet again he proves that humanity comes first, through his generosity thereby contributing his own quota towards the betterment of the world. Also, this single act will not only show how good Binance exchange is, but will also present another good side of the crypto space to the world thereby attracting more users and leading to more valuable crypto space.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bitcoin and Altcoins bullish together on: March 06, 2020, 10:16:27 PM
Everybody in our Crypto Community is happy that we are going in right direction with building value of Bitcoin. This is really appreciable how BTC is improving in each single day. No doubt Bitcoin deserve attention of the world due to its features in any means.

But with the bitcoin most of us also trading or Hodling altcoins together in our portfolio which is logical. Most of the time Bitcoin and Altcoin work inversely proportional i mean when bitcoin is moving upward in mean time altcoins start crashing.

But in last bull run jan 2018 we seen every thing was going to the moon. Now i want to know community opinion.

Are we going for a Bull run like 2018, Or this time Bitcoin and altcoins will unleashed separately.

Things are gradually taking a new shape, just like you noticed back in the days a rise in Bitcoin will see every one moving their funds to Bitcoin thus leading to altcoins dumping but from what was seen months ago the reverse was the case both moved in the same way. Nevertheless, one can hardly predict the direction of this space but I would say with this new trend, looks like we are going for a new thing which is, both Bitcoin and altcoins going in the same direction; also when I mean altcoins, I refer to the good ones because people are now seeing some reasons to hold altcoins.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: March 06, 2020, 10:08:57 PM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position

One thing I have come to believe is that no one knows when altcoins will surge like that of 2017 again we can only anticipate and try our best by holding the good coins. Actually not all new altcoins will be left out, I see altcoins with use case and working products being given attention while those with nothing but a good whitepaper will be seen as pump and dump coins, and we see most of these in new IEO where after IEO and listing investor dump and move on while taking profit to BTC or ETH etc. Also, your decision of selling to BTC is good but I also think it is worthwhile to hold 1 or 2 altcoins maybe ETH or any other.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet rocks on: March 05, 2020, 08:38:25 PM
I used to be so obsessed with coinomi wallet because it support many altcoins, maybe because I find it more better than myether and copay and later I decide to try trust wallet, I was surprised that right after importing my private key all my altcoins are ready for me including every single ERC20 tokens I own, Trust wallet get rid of adding tokens manually and in fact it shows every price of the tokens that are listed and trading, now I can't stop loving the wallet, way better than coinomi now

Yes that is true, trust wallet rocks and it is because of its features which makes it attractive to everyone who comes across it. Imagine using one wallet to store Bitcoin, Ethereum as well as it's supported ERC tokens, BNB as well as it's supported tokens, Tron, Icon and so on, therefore why won't it be the best so far. Another attractive feature is, it shows the accurate price of each token as well as it's overall worth. In all ramifications, trust wallet is the true definition of a multi-wallet.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 05, 2020, 08:29:16 PM
Ethereum has been steadily on the rise for a good while now, and this first half of Q1 2020 has proven that they have brought that same energy into the new decade. They have started 2020 with a bang, more than doubling in value in just 2 months.

There are quite a few factors that have come into play to make this a winning year for Ethereum and here are just a few: https://thecoinshark.net/en/5-reasons-why-ethereum-is-winning-in-2020/amp/

What do you think we can expect to see for the rest of the year?

Actually it is true that ETH had a good growth during the beginning of year and gave holders good profit, also from the look of things there is still more room to grow. However, saying any coin will take the number position in the crypto market is far from being true or being achievable. The number of people that values Bitcoin is much, in fact there are many people who holds only but Bitcoin as the see Bitcoin as the only decentralized cryptocurrency. Also, it is a fact that ETH is also a good coin on its own but overtaking bitcoin won't be possible in the same way, once there is an uptrend in price both Bitcoin and every other good coin will experience it not only ETH..
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: March 04, 2020, 09:12:56 AM
I will start hating altcoins only when bitcoin raise up to 20,000$ and altcoins fail to move up as well, many people are putting blames on altcoins today as if bitcoin is not in loss itself, the ATH of btc was 20k and now it's trading for 7,000+ thats like 12,000$ lost please how will this not affect other altcoins as well? Top altcoins will surely lose value as well, to me this present loss of altcoins are positive, look at coins like LTC, EOS, BNB, these coins are doing fine. You will only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins

First thing First, the market is affected by many things, where there are coins which stands to ensure they aren't too affected others are helpless. That is, when bear market sets in, all coins will lose value and most people will convert to stablecoins to protect their funds, in bear market both Bitcoin and altcoins drops in value that is for sure, but what happens after the bear market? This is a question that really matters a lot.
No one should blame altcoins from dropping in value as it is people that invest, trade and hold them and can do whatever they want just to be safe, but one can really blame some altcoins and this comes in when there is a bull run and they aren't moving while others are moving; thus showing that, the particular altcoin in question lacks a lot hence the reason investors moved to others already booming. To answer the question that really matters, taking BNB as an example, the team is bringing in services such as more fiat support to ensure the relevance of the platform, so in this case investors have reasons to invest every now and then. Therefore, investing in good altcoins is very important so as to be on the winning side.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the blockchain - What do you think? on: March 04, 2020, 08:58:10 AM
I found this interesting article about the current gaming industry on the blockchain, what do you think about the gaming industry currently on the blockchain and do you think it will evolve and have a future? Or is blockchain not really for gaming? If you want to read the article, you can read it on the link below.

https://www.publish0x.com/interesting-crypto-projects/games-blockchain-2019-xdqjjz?a=GELe3POa69

On top of that, the blogging platform is a great way to earn crypto for free. You can earn crypto for voting on articles and also for creating content. You can earn DAI and BAT currently but it is a better way than to just do bounties where you have no idea when the token will become live on an exchange. You can sign up through the article. Hope to see you there!

I believe blockchain can be used in any industry or system, all that is needed is the right team. Although there have been many blockchain games but only a few are worth it as many lacks what it takes to keep the games running. On the other hand, considering blockchain is still growing I believe blockchain games can evolve with it but the question is, are the team behind those games ready to work hard to ensure their gaming platform lasts long term. So from all indications, it is not really a matter of blockchain itself it is a matter of the team putting in their best; in addition, blockchain is the future of many things it is just a matter of time.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gonna sell my stock assets and invest in these top currencies. Suggestions? on: March 04, 2020, 08:53:10 AM
Hello all,

I am new to crypto currency market as I was before in shares and stock market. I have basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies like how supply, demand and history of famous coins. I am looking to invest in 2-3 cryptocurrencies. My investment: $200-$500. I would like to invest little amount in starting, afterwards I will increase my investments.

Well, I select the following coins:

Bitcoin : because it is no.1
Ethereum: this crypto is down these days, but I have got a news that ethereum 2.0 will roll out this year. So, I hope that this crypto currency price will go up.
Binance: because of stability

And eos if possible

I would like to know your suggestions before taking the steps.

PS:

Thanks all for your meaningful, personally experienced replies with these coins. I am glad to posted my query on bitcointalk, this community is super active. Cheesy

Well, I read all the replies and what I got to understand is that I should decide the % of amount to invest in these coins. Even I am increasing my investment amount to $1000. I did calculation and here are the results:

Bitcoin: 25%
Ethereum: 40%

Many users said that I shouldn't go for BNB and EOS upon the basis of many factors like centralized, eos performance not good etc. Most of the experts said that I should look & analyse on these coins:

Ripple: It is popular and promising altcoin.
LTC: Confused in this altcoin. Need to do research on this one.
Doge: Not sure
LINK: Maybe Risky. Never heard about this coin before.

Well, My investments are upon the basis of long term, I will invest for 1-2 years. But, I would like to know your opinions about long term and short term, What should I choose between long term and short term?

Last question, Which exchange should I go for? I am confused in choosing a good exchange? What's your experience  on top exchanges for trading cryptos?

Thanks Again!

Glad you have chosen Bitcoin already as It is by far the best coin to hold, I won't judge your allocation I believe you have a reason why you gave ETH a bigger portion. Bitcoin and Ethereum are good as a start because even when market is unfriendly and they drops in value, once there is a turnaround both still appreciates in value, so it's a good choice. For me, EOS is far from holding, just like you pointed out the performance is not worth it; BNB on the other hand is good but you might want to allocate a lesser portion to it. Also, if you want a coin you want to play around with, XRP is a good one. Lastly, in terms of exchange, Binance is the best exchange so far reason I suggested you hold BNB token.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is it possible there are altcoins costing more than BTC? on: March 03, 2020, 11:30:05 PM
Taking a look on the circulating supply, it says it all; that is, the circulating supply is very small when related with the circulating supply of Bitcoin. When something is in small quantities, it tends to be expensive because those who have it will not be willing to sell it and if they want to, then it will cost a fortune, this applies in the outside world and as well in the crypto space. Thus, Owing to this small circulating supply the price skyrocketed because the coins are in the hands of only few people, who doesn't look like they are selling either. This is actually my first time of coming across such coins and I wonder if they really have any use case.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all projects are bad on: March 03, 2020, 01:28:21 PM
If you are a developer and you develop a new project and build a good team and after several months of promoting the project you don't met your expectations yet you never give up won't others say bad thing about the project and the teams? This is happening with few good projects in crypto space but many failed to understand, they want their half cake quickly e.g bounty hunters, to say the truth it's not easy to be a developer, not all projects that failed are bad, they might not just meet their expectations

One question, how can the community know the project is working and not dead? It is by updating the community on latest developments and so on. It is hard to see a project which constantly updates it's community on their latest success and fails most which do keep their community is updated keeps growing might be slow but still worth it. There are many projects once they face a challenge Instead of them to keep the community abreast of all that is happening they will go mute from there come up with a long write-up then shut down, most times it is all planned. If a team sincerely creates a project and cares about it, they will take several steps to ensure they come out of their issues. There have been projects surviving for years, and one of their secret is, keeping their social media accounts active, keeping the telegram group active etc.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gone are the days where projects team ask for opinions from investors on: March 03, 2020, 01:21:25 PM
This is true they now think they know all and ends up making mistakes. And this is why most people will support a project to an extent and then stop and it will look like they don't like the project anymore whereas it is due to bad decisions the team makes. How can a project aiming to grow list on an exchange known for low volume, low user base and so on. I have seen many people support a project but once IEO is announced and it is on Latoken or P2PB2B, they will all take their leave because the team won't listen to them and seek for a better exchange and its of no use investing in something that won't benefit you in any way. There are good exchanges to launch IEO on, mustn't be top exchanges.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: March 02, 2020, 12:21:47 PM
Many don't like XRP yet it is one of the coins that won't just die, even being ridiculed it keeps maintaining its growth, partnership and so on. Yes XRP isn't what is known as a good platform when taking into account decentralized platforms but on the other hand it has been performing well than most altcoins. In my own opinion, XRP won't die anytime soon until the crypto space understands what it means to be decentralized and only then will the attention be shifted to projects which are decentralized and are worth it.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: March 02, 2020, 12:12:09 PM
I will start with your last point, most projects are too concerned about getting funds that they end up dumping huge volume of their supply on investors which ends up making the price bad and also hard to recover. From this single act one can't be mistaken for saying the team are just looking for a way to exit the project because I can't understand how a project team will do such without careful consideration. Lastly the aspect of altcoins not having any value due to Bitcoin fomo, I don't agree with it, good altcoins will always maintain their value even in the midst of Bitcoin fomo which also makes the altcoin to grow as well.
