The developer can set any app release date, it's not automatic when it gets approved. So the way I'm reading it the "team" will set the release date after ION is listed on Bittrex. And I don't think the app is linked to Bittrex in any way, it's just another shitty excuse. They could have done the Bittrex thing months ago. I agree on that. But those "3 hours to 3 days" won't make much of a difference. Don't forget the countdown after bittrex. Of course it won't make any difference, not after 6+ months of delays. It's just funny how last week the excuse was Apple's Christmas break, but now it turns out the app was not ready for a release anyway since it needs to wait for Bittrex + unspecified countdown. According to your "daily slack summary" - got this from others: - The countdown will be 7 days, starting with Bittrex. This is to spread the news. - The "delays" were about adding features, which last two were "Facebook integration" and "tutorial". - Meanwhile Apple did accept Crypto Gravity in its store and Ionomy can schedule it for release. An update has been submitted to add "tutorial" feature. - Another game is narrowing down to alpha stage. No deadline indicated. - "Fork" is scheduled for about Feb. You guys should ask the team a few questions before you go praising Ionomy. Why don't you ask them where all the coins came from to raise the MN count from ~147 all the way up to 226. At 20,000 per MN time 79 new MN's, That would take about 1.58 million ION to make. There wasn't that many available for sale. Looks like the team is making MasterNodes from the premise to make free coins to sell you all for more Bitcoin. What is the response for such an increase in MN's? Anybody? The whales perhaps can clarify this?

Looks like they are finding another way to screw the Ionites while the Ionites make excuses for such a move. It was just to make the network faster or more stable or some BS like that. When in reality they are atealing from you. You will get less stakes as there are 79 new MasterNodes. Pure theft. Honest guys. Invest hard, they're gonna be millionaires!
I asked the question on #general last week, but not in too serious context so got no answer. You cannot conclude directly all those are Ionomy's, but as you say, these coins were not for sale, so most probably are. Makes no sense someone just "had them turned off". But if you look at the number of coins staking, it does not add up either. There is a total of 1,462,884 ION Staking.
Only thing that would add up is that ALL ionomy's MN's were offline (your est "1.58 million ION") and brought back online. Come on slack and ask, I'll support your question. Though because I think there's a somehow more logical explanation than just "stealing" ;-) Why would you steal if you already got millions that you can't sell? Making the network "faster" was another subject, not related to the MN's. Firing up hundreds of wallets seems to make the network more solid. This was an expirement some people joined, and some are still running. |

I also note with interest that rdewilde's (and this is by no means a dig at him; at least he's worked on something and delivered it) android wallet currently appears to sit in the 10-50 downloads category in the play store. Of course I realise that the use of a mobile wallet for a token that can't actually be used for...well...anything, really, other than producing more tokens of the same type, probably isn't the most realistic barometer of ionomy's actual user base. It's fascinating nevertheless that of their 'thousands' of users, only 10-50 have apparently thrown their support behind the community & rdewilde by downloading the wallet.
Well if you would say 50% owns an android device and 50% installed it (high guess) then you'd be looking at 50 x 2 x 2 = 200 active members. Change the number to your own guesses but i dont think there are thousands out there. My luck as i still need to push a few updates.. :-D |

@suchmoon Please include the correct Company Name when you update your outdated FAQ Maybe ask the team to give the users an option to opt out of the new TOS. Seems that function is lacking. Probably more important than your suchmoon obsession, but then again your priorities are the exact opposite of logic. Seriously, can't you guys come up with stuff that makes sense anymore? Like it used to be. It is not a personal thing at all, but how important is this really in the whole picture. If you don't agree you can take your money and move on. Also I don't see huge changes in policy... what is the thing you want to disagree on? There's an opt-out button on the right top of the dialog and so there is on your browser window (in case of linux/mac on the left top). Also you can try your power button or pull the cord if you are not on a mobile device. |

I am no dev, but according to slack the wallet is a fork of the Dash wallet which still contains branding of Dash in the ION version.  Yes it is a fork, which makes sense because, ion, dash etc are forks too. That's how it works, nobody's going to re-invent the same wheel, at least not the smart people. Forking is not a bad thing. If you see Dash brandings where ut is not supposed to be, message me and I'll fix it when I have time. Just pushed an update to fix the small notification icon when you get a new transaction. Also, I have no problem with Dash. In the little time I have, I tried to remove the Dash references as it is supposed to be an ION wallet, but the developers that created bitcoinj and this wallet get full credit from me. If you open the wallet, and go to settings, about, you will see it is all there. They deserve it. It's no secret either. And yes, bounty was 10k + 5k + 5k bonus. More bounties available, so if you are good at forking and/or coding, you're more than welcome. |
