Everything boils down to emotion and greed some people do not know how to control their emotion and they don't also know how to control their greed. When they are in for it, there is absolutely nothing you can say unless they exhaust all the money on them before they will listen to you.

There is nothing wrong with gambling if it is done like a fun and not when the gambler uses all he has to do bet a particular game and which eventually when the outcome does not favour the gambler he will loose everything and plunge into emotional damage.
When someone is on that state they will not hear a word of what you are saying, they are so focused on their goal of trying to make money when they gamble that any comment which has to do with how this is a bad idea will get immediately ignored.

And what is even worse is that once they are out of that state they are not going to remember either that you tried to stop them from this behavior, and they may even recriminate you about not doing what you could to stop them, and when I have being on the receiving end of those recriminations I simply leave as there is no point on talking with someone that is not being rational at all.

Emotions are very difficult to handle when you are in a middle of rage and sadness together as this is what produces when you lose money on gambling, this is more emphasized on games where you keep playing continuously and where you see the result instantly thus accumulating lost amounts. In such situations no matter what we try to tell them they will ignore us,even me personally if I was in such position I would ignore anyone talking to me because of this rage that heats a person up.The moment where should we talk to them is after a certain little time that they have quit their session, this I have seen to work out for me as I am more lucid and clear and I understand better what is being talked to me.

Your monthly bonus is out, anyone won anything big? I didn't see your post here, we don't want to hear the ''rungkad''  Cheesy  My slot game is on fire today 2 times reached maxwin in different games, Buffalo King Megaways and Spellbinding Mystery gave me the biggest win x10,000 multiplier Watch Here. I played it for about 2 hours it's a little boring because it sucks my balance more often but in the end it was worth it, f you want to try you should start from the lowest bet.

Congrats on your win.I have tried Spellbinding game,of course with FUN money as I am very happy playing sport bets rather than losing everything directly on slots and I saw that game had a lot of potential especially when you gamble for more free spins. The multiplier that keeps increasing and having a lot of free spins can give you huge wins like your max win that you got there.I saw it was very difficult to get to a higher multiplier though,as I kept playing for a lot of time testing it and rarely I made a x960 as my best multiplier there in that game.

On a side note I don't feel motivated at all to go back playing slots and it is becoming exactly two weeks.
2603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What miner is most profitable at 0.01 usd/kwh ? on: July 15, 2023, 08:11:01 AM
Hello,

I want to start a bigger mining farm exploiting my cheap access to electricity. Which miner is most profitable at 0.01 usd/kwh? I mean, where you get most bang for the buck.

I have been looking at buying 100-200 L3+ miners, as i found them to be more profitable than the newer s19 machines for example for the same amount of money.

For 100 L3+ miners, my costs would be 0.01 usd/kwh + 300 usd/month (Cost of housing them) + 700 usd/month (Electric) all amounts are approximate.

I estabished contacts with a big reputable Chinese seller and after a lot of discussion back and forth, we agreed on 6000 usd for 100 L3+ miners. Every machine will be tested before sending it, shipping costs will be about 800-1200 usd, cheapest and slowest option. Is this a good deal? Or would you guys propose another miner?

Something that worries me a little bit is how the profits will look like after LTC will be halved, that is going to happen soon. And Im worried if this will make my setup unprofitable?

Maybe there is another miner out there, that is quite cheap right now to buy due to high watt usage, but which can be profitable at low electric costs?

Best regards all, will be happy to receive any advice.

there is no legal 0.01$ electric price in the world, if exist there is only quota based on. even you make your own electric, 0.01 is hardly to achieve, solar only produce 0.03 in terms cost of facility/25 years maintenance. hydro can achieve 0.01. but to be honest, 0.01 is just like free electric, you can throw anything without any loss even a decade old hardware  Grin
I agree with you that there are no such cheap prices for mining companies, but nuclear power can give 2 cents when building a modern power plant. Although in Russia, in places where there is hydropower, there is also a tariff of 2 cents for the population, but consumption is limited there.

There is no possibility for such electricity price as you say but let's say the OP has it.The best bang would surely be L7 Antminer at 9500 Mhsh for Litecoin plus Doge mining.I think it is better to have this rather than other devices and have fewer of them,as 1 of them equals to 11-12 L3+ or even more than them,so rather than going with 100 such L3 Antminers it would be great to go with 8-9 L7 Antminers which are managed in a much easier way rather than to manage 100 devices.
At this price of electricity, any ASIC will be profitable after the halving of Litecoin and Bitcoin. It is not necessary to buy asics for one algorithm, you can buy asics for both bitcoin and litecoin to reduce risks if the price of one of the coins rises more.

In this case we both know that the one price which will skyrocket more is absolutely Bitcoin compared to Litecoin and in such context it would be great for the OP to buy any Bitcoin miner as overall this will bring him much more profit than a Litecoin miner. However this depends on the dollar amount that each miner does,if the Litecoin L7 produces more dollars then it still is a good option as the Litecoin or Dogecoin that this miners mine can be converted to Bitcoin and be in bigger profit. In either case the OP does not lose anything as that 0.01 electricity price is unbeatable.
2604  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 15, 2023, 07:34:56 AM
The US and Nato lost, even if things drag on for a while.

It depends...
Russia lost more than half of its military. It can retrain soldiers, but most of its modern armament has been lost. Analysts say they've lost its offensive capability for 10-15 years.
They did not reach their goals like taking Kiev, assassinating Zelenskyy and planting their puppet government.
They lost trade deals with Europe and some military deals with countries who saw Russian jets and helicopters being decimated by modern missiles.
The counteroffensive isn't going well, but let's not forget that Russians were surrounding Kiev and now they're hiding in the trenches hundreds of miles to the East.

IMO there's no clear winner or loser here. The war is ongoing and it's not going to stop just like that. This conflict is going to continue for years, pretty much the way it is in Gaza.
Russians effectively pushed Ukraine into the arms of the EU and NATO. If that's a win, I wouldn't want to be the winner.

That is a great win if Ukraine joins NATO,this means Russia will not ever attack Ukraine again unless it likes to be bombarded the hell out of it.While I don't know if I can call Ukraine a winner so far they sure are the superiors in this war having lost less than 20% attacking power while Russia is the clear loser as they have lost as you say their modern armaments as they are attacking now with Iranian made drones which honestly are not effective at all against Patriot air defense systems, they have lost economically, they have lost in a military way as over 200.000 soldiers are already dead and it takes time to replace them without proper training of the newly recruits, they have also lost geo-politically as both Finland and Sweden joined NATO and Ukraine won't take much before doing the same. The outcome of this war for Russia is total isolation.
2605  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where should I play? Asking for recommendations. on: July 15, 2023, 06:43:32 AM
I agree that is difficult to win at Stake in slot machines lately but that is not because Drake is throwing away their money, they sure are going heavy on marketing and this has brought them a whole new bunch of customers,if you see the chat at Stake you will see that there are always plenty of people, sometimes it is even 20k persons chit chatting there. This means that they or some of them are playing slot machines and the slot machines are programmed to give to the casino the house edge set by the providers, meaning most people will lose and few will win, however if you check the multipliers won in the newly released slots you will see massive wins there, that is how it works and that is why I also quit slots in favor of sport betting there.

For recommendations check this very section and read all the ANN threads of each casino and in the end decide for yourself based on the information you read.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: July 15, 2023, 06:15:40 AM
It's not easy for an ordinary gambler to get the VIP level if he is not a rich person or who wants to waste his money on gambling tables and casinos, because of course with big bets it will be easy to get that VIP level, there are many advantages that I know being a VIP user but also many losses that we experienced during the pursuit of that VIP level. it made me realize that gambling is not just about pursuing the VIP level but being able to enjoy the game as well as having fun. Gambling wisely and responsibly is very important.

I consider myself as ordinary gambler and I'm not rich too but in fact I can reach VIP level (not that high). It takes long time indeed to reach my current VIP level in the casinos, I have 2 accounts with similar VIP account level in 2 different casinos. Saying that VIP level is just for those who are rich enough to waste money is completely wrong. Remember that there are some levels of the VIP program, even the lowest Level with low wagering requirement is already considered as VIP.

That is a good thing that most reputable casinos, you can achieve the lowest VIP level within a very short span amount of time if you are a regular there and even if you don't play with a lot of money. These casinos make every bet you make count toward these progressive VIP levels.I think the benefits of the VIP level are very much worth it over the long run,as for example in Stake if you happen to be in a bad moment, you have some free money every weekend as a weekly boost and a decent amount for free once a month through the monthly bonus, you get them every week and month once reached the VIP level and over the long haul this is quite beneficial.
2607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: July 14, 2023, 07:54:12 PM
Have the wager requirements helped in combating money laundering through casino?

Because even if anyone want to launder money won't casino be a bigger risk for them since their can lose all the money trying to get it into casino wallet and meet the wager requirements,  and also what if the said individual loses the bet?

I think anyone wanting to launder money will probably make use of mixing services to avoid the risk of losing money through the casino.

Some people have used it unfortunately, they are unique and rare and are sport bettors, they place the maximum amount which the casino allows them to bet and place really low odds which the majority of the time they come true,I am talking about 1.10 and 1.15 odds which we can find in Tennis much more easily than in soccer.

I can say that the fact that they want to launder money through casinos it means they are not sweat money and as such they can afford to play it on blackjack, roulette or slot machines trying to go as fast as possible through wagering, they have got nothing to lose as they have non sweated money.
2608  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds providers to crypto books on: July 14, 2023, 07:39:04 PM
What are some odds providers to crypto bookmakers? So far I know Betby and Inplaymatrix,w hat else do some crypto bookmakers use? This got my curious since there seems to be many crypto bookmakers around.
I was able to find some for you. Here is a complied list.

Sportradar
Nuxgame
BetConstruct
Lsports
Donbest
Exefeed
Goalserve
Geniussports

There are many more. You can easily find them on google.

Crypto bookmakers usually don’t disclose publicly their odds provider so I’m interested to know too odds provider that our crypto casino using and what’s the best so far.
Interesting. I never thought the same. I thought it's something no bookie disclose no matter it's crypto or regulated fiat bookie.

Sportradar is the most well known one and it is the one used by many of the reputable crypto casinos if I am mistaken as this topic has come up even other times. The problem is not which provider provides the odds to the bookies as all of them lay the odds in the favor of the casino, for example when a team should have high chances to win and the real odd should be like 1.30,they intentionally may make that odd go up to scare us at 1.45-1.60,the same can be said for a certain team which is not a heavy favorite and the odd should be 1.8-1.9 for them and the bookies give them 1.60 as odd so you go and place your bet thinking you will win,a clear example of this was the Milsami game in Europa Conference League yesterday, ended 2-2 but the home team which was not a heavy favorite had an odd of 1.45 when in reality it should had 1.7-1.8.

What do I want to say with all of this?I want to say it is not important who provide the odds but how good we as bettors can read them.
2609  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Discovering your potentials on: July 14, 2023, 02:19:12 PM
Nowadays it is easy to discover where you potential is.I am talking about a professional potential and if some persons want to change jobs they can do so very easily nowadays, they need basic computer skills and there are tons but tons of online courses like in Udemy and other platforms that can learn basically everything one may be looking for.If someone thinks he is good for marketing and digital marketing he can buy a couple of courses for less than 50 dollars in total and start learning, the same can be said for any other profession.

It all depends on the desire of one person to reach the objective he has pointed to himself,so discipline and persistence are the key things one should have today, the rest can be easily found on the internet as explained above.
2610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: July 14, 2023, 01:52:07 PM
Playing slots and getting wins from slot games requires luck because slot games are luck-based gambling games. So no matter how hard you try, if you don't have luck, it will be difficult for you to win, and you waste your money to have fun because you are trying to chase that win. But it's a different matter if you want to have fun playing slots because you only bet what you can afford, and when you have had enough, you will stop immediately because you know you can probably lose more money. Even though the chance to win will still be there, it is not recommended to continue playing slots because we don't know when to get lucky and win.
But if we really study slot games, especially with pragmatic providers, then there is also one factor other than luck to be able to get a larger number of wins, namely by playing even harder or you can say playing longer in the game session because then we can have a big chance to get a big multiplier.
I've proven it myself when I did quite a lot of rounds, more or less in 1000 rounds, the multiplier of 250x and 500x can come out easily, but indeed the multiplier can break if we are lucky.

In the latest games of Pragmatic,Big Bass Amazon Extreme,Wisdom of Athena and others you will rarely see the 500x if at all.I am talking specifically about Wisdom of Athena which in theory has this multiplier and has a 10000x max win,it resembles a lot to Gate of Olympus with a welcome change that you get the multiplier even if you get a win without multiplier in that win,and this gives you a big boost if you happen to get that big multiplier of 500x which directly translates to the max win most probably. However good luck on even seeing 100x in this game, maybe this is new and not played much so we have to wait and this may become the new game gamblers favorite,Gate of Olympus has been far for long enough.

The next GP will be in 10 days.
We will have a big update, according to Verstappen, to the RBR.

The moment whit a team near them (McLaren) can be already over.

Of course Redbull was not standing in the sun while all other teams worked out their upgrades,Redbull worked out upgrades too. However we have to see how good this upgrade will be as honestly I don't see much room for improvement in a car which is already flying and especially in Hungaroring the track where will go now surely is the least suitable to test upgrades as it is a very slow track,so even if this upgrade is massive as Verstappen is describing it there will be no watchable improvement during the race in my opinion. If the upgrade is truly massive then SPA the legendary track can show all to us of how good this upgrade is.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 12:49:39 PM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?

Well honestly I have not been ever thinking about this but usually my weekly income without signature which is my payroll is about 500 dollars and I only play like 30-50 dollars or max 100 dollars, this 100 dollars happens very rarely so my percentage is like 7-20% with average being about 10% and I don't think this is high,is something I can afford to lose,as otherwise I would spend this money to get to the movies or buying a new online course,of course online courses teach you things but they never give you the adrenaline you have while gambling so for me that percentage spent in gambling is money well spent.
2613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 12:16:49 PM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

Nothing as I only place mutual bets with people I trust to death and no one else. Therefore nothing would make me fight with a fellow gambler if we placed this kind of bet because we both would set the limits before placing the bet and when the bet would be a win no matter at which account it is the money is shared in equal amounts.I have done this several times during big events like Euro or World Cup with a few colleagues and we never had a problem when we won this type of bet,the money was shared equally among each of the participants of such bet.
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 14, 2023, 10:10:09 AM
Things we must do to stop gambling according to experts:
Quote
1. Recognize the problem
2. Remove the stigma
3. Confide in a love one
4. Seek professional health
5. Adjust as needed
Source: https://www.forbes.com/health/mind/how-to-stop-gambling-expert-advice/

Now, if you still want to gamble but you don't want to become addicted to it, one of the things you should do in my opinion is:

1. Only set aside an amount of money that you will use to gamble in a casino.
2. Don't think that you will gamble to make money, because if you do that, you will surely have a problem later.
3. Just spend a few hours staying in a casino to gamble so you can avoid what you don't realize is wasting time that you should be spending on important things instead of gambling.

I think only the first one is a true advice because as long as you recognize the problem this is a good first step in what to do next.Professional help is needed only when you are in extreme level of addiction that you need to go in a rehab center as the only solution to your problem,to confide in a loved one is a double edged sword as it can go right but can also go extremely wrong so I would remove this option.Adjust as needed is what I really do right now, meaning when I see I am losing a lot in slots I keep placing small sport bets as a hobby,I don't lose money and I keep myself entertained.
2615  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 14, 2023, 09:44:16 AM
I don't think the Russia-Ukraine conflict will end easily. Russia maintains war with Ukraine. On the other hand, Russia wants to take some parts of Ukraine for which they are continuing this war. Because if Russia can occupy some part of Ukraine then it is their own gain.

This is the real motive why the war started, the zones in which Russia claim to have been had referendums wanting to go to Russia had only sham referendums and the reality is that they are rich in lithium, yes the substance that makes the batteries for electrical cars,it is a huge market this one and Russia does not want to miss out, they have their ill imperial fantasies since centuries now.The second is that through these parts they can cut Ukrainian grains from shipping from such ports and ship their own grain,in the end every war has invading fantasies that will make the country that does this war richer,it is the same always.
2616  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you handle borrowers? on: July 14, 2023, 09:27:12 AM
How do you deal with the situation where people who you are close to like family and friends are constantly demanding for one kind of financial assistance or the other. It is not possible to help everyone, so how do you handle it and make sure that giving and trying to help people do not turn into a problem for you. How about people who borrow money from you and never return it or even show any effort to make payment back to you, how did you go about the situation?

My ex director told me something very unique about how to handle these guys even if they are close relatives or parents,of course parents and relative we help each other as much as we can so most likely this advice is for those people who borrow money and never turn it back,we had a lot of bad gamblers in my previous company and the director was not a gambler. They kept asking him 10-30 dollars lending money and he told me that he used to gave them 100 dollars and if he did not get them back,it was the best 100 dollars spent in his life as he would have nothing to do with them anymore as they could not ask more money before paying their debt.
2617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risks of purchasing KS3 Miner that is currently with a daily reward of 2200USDT on: July 14, 2023, 08:15:52 AM
Based on the F2pool.com (https://www.f2pool.com/miners)

the coin reward of a Iceriver KS3 Miner is about 2,100 USDT per day
the coin reward of a Antminer KS3 Miner is about 2,200 USDT per day

Based on the asicfinder.com
The best quotation of an Iceriver KS3 Miner Futures currently is price of 45,400 USDT/pcs (https://www.asicfinder.com/frontend/hardwares/iceriver-ks3-8t)
The best quotation of an Antminer KS3 Miner Futures currently is price of 36,500 USDT/pcs (https://www.asicfinder.com/frontend/hardwares/bitmain-antminer-ks3-8-3t)

So here is my two questions:
What are the risks of purchasing a KS3 miner that is currently priced so high?
Which is the better choice between Antminer KS3 and Iceminer KS3 while the hashrate is 8.3Th/s and 8Th/s

The difficulty will increase undoubtedly for this miner and whichever miner you choose to buy with that money remains a dumb option in my opinion. The best thing you can do with that amount is simple, you buy 1 Bitcoin for 31.000 dollars and keep it in your wallet and wait until the next bull run.If you are not happy with Bitcoin you can diversify that amount in all the top 10 coins in the coinmarketcap website and wait for the next bull run,in both scenarios you will do much better than buying a miner this expensive and running in uncertainty.

Whether there are injury problems or not Arsenal is expected to perform excellently well in next season's Champions League and as well as English Premier League  Injury is part of the team and every good coach should at least plan for injury. It is an unforeseen circumstance that happened to every team.
Among the English Premier League clubs that went for the Champions League. I am very confident that Manchester City and Manchester United with Arsenal will do very well. But I am not sure of Newcastle because it is their first appearance for almost two decades.

I don't know what happened with the clause that they could get Ronaldo in but so far yet I have not heard anything about it.If they manage to bring Ronaldo to play with them then it would be amazing to see this Newcastle performing well in the Champions League. As far as I know this is very much possible and it all depends on the club of Newcastle and Al Nassr where Ronaldo plays are both owned by the same group so as I said this should be very much possible and Newcastle should insist on this agreement.Even if Ronaldo does not come I am sure they will play well in the Champions still.
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 14, 2023, 06:54:49 AM
..
It's called beginners luck. Some believe in it some don't. It's when a beginner doesn't know the game and what the rules are but decides to place a bet. There is no logical explanation, but most of the times, bets placed by those beginners wins, most of the times. This is why it's called beginners luck.

I think this was true in the early stages, when gambling had not much choices and the sport betting was the most well known played game, back then of course when a beginner placed a bet most of the times he won it and as you said there is no logical explanation to this.Nowadays though where slot machines are the most well known and the most played games in a casino then you go and get busted even if you are a beginner.

In lottery though everyone has an equal chance to win it and it is based purely on luck and complete randomness, there is no real probability and possibility, you can buy 10.000 lottery tickets and don't win anything and some other guy who buys just one ticket wins the lottery.
