2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 10, 2023, 06:18:27 AM
I would also add the lack of patience sometimes. This happens when someone of us hits a win in sport betting and immediately think of betting the winning amount back in order to profit more. This though does not let most of us to think clearly because of our added adrenaline at that moment and we most likely lose some money,we try to chase back losses and we end up losing more.So based on this patience plays a determinant role in sport betting as based on it a good sport bettor can be in continuous winning bets if he does not rush and want to bet further and further without much study of the events.

Previously Manchester United are interested to recruiting Osimhen from Napoli, if they withdrawn from signing Osimhen maybe the price is higher from rumors I heard before. Yes Sir, Osimhen is a key player for Napoli it is very natural of Napoli want high price, also maybe Napoli are not serious to let him go to anywhere. But actually Osimhen previously really wanted to play in the most competitive League I mean the Premier League, if he say to stay with Napoli next season that is good news for Napoli. At least there is still a possibility for Napoli to win scudetto again.
maybe at least Osimhen will stay at Napoli one more season. and after that I think it will be good for him to try a more competitive league. Serie A is great too, but with a better club I think Osimhen could be at the top of his career.
if Napoli do want to sell him, I think they will be more flexible with negotiations with other clubs. especially regarding price. but losing Osimhen in the team, will mean that Napoli may not be able to repeat last season's achievements.
Serie A was among the most competitive leagues last season, and they came second. But it's true, if he wants to be in a highly competitive league, then the Premier League is the answer. But the problem is that no club has been able to meet Napoli's asking price so that makes us speculate that it is possible for Osimhen to stay at Napoli for at least one more season.
Manchester United are very interested in Osimhen, but they don't have the money to sign him from Napoli. We know that with the 2 players they have brought in alone it has made their budget run out, while Napoli want a high price.
For me this news is not necessarily true because Osimhen is not going anywhere until his contract with Napoli runs out and Nopoli still really wants Osimhen.
All decisions rest with Napoli's owners when to really sell Osimhen.
Manchester united plans will only be in vain.

I think that they can always find an accord with him if Manchester United wants him,yet he is the most indicative of all players at Napoli during the last season that they won the Serie A after 33 years and it was exactly in the games he was missing that Milan won 3 out of 3 games against Napoli which made the Napoli direction mad at the level to immediately declare they were not going on again with Spalletti.

He is still the best player Napoli has but if he has a desire to move out from Napoli then Napoli should not try and stop this move.

It is a good thing you acknowledge that the West is smart, they have weakened Russia to the point that even if the war stops right away needs at least 40 years to get back on track as that is what the war caused to Russia to fall back at least 40 years but hey I am dumb what do I know. They have won something huge with the war in Ukraine, they have put Russia out of the equation with this.

How strong is your ruble man,can I get 1.000.000 rubles I just found that with 10.000 Euros you are a rich person in Russia  Grin.

It is good that you acknowledge that this whole mess is orchestrated by smart people of the West, who still
want to make Russia their colony

Yeah but the problem is exactly Russia who fell to this trap like a fish without brain, they never thought that the West would respond in such a harsh manner after they saw that the West did not care much for when they invaded and annexed Crimea in 2014 and this was their bait which Putin unfortunately completely fell for it.

Now Russia has gone so far in this war that it is only damaging itself more than Ukraine except a few civilians it intentionally kills each day, this is no way to win the war by terrorizing civilians, this only made Ukraine stronger and Russia is in a dead end now.

The progress McLaren has made is just unbelievable now. The upgrade package seems to have made a big impact on the performances of their drivers. Especially Norris has started to find the opportunity to show his skills more comfortable with a faster and more stable car. Today was wonderful for Piastri and especially Norris.

The beginning of the race was incredible as Norris overtook Verstappen quickly thanks to a better reaction time. Although I knew that Verstappen was going to take his place back later it was still a lovely start to the race. After the race Verstappen ran to Norris to congratulate his superb effort also.

I was hoping to see Leclerc on podium but unfortunately he was the victim of Ferrari's poor strategies again together with Sainz.

It is somewhat of a tragic-comedy the fact that the Ferrari team manages to ruin every race for their drivers,I think a massive lay off should be done there and not in the IT companies that we had so far  Grin, surely they deserve more to be sacked with such horrendous performance during these last 2 years.

Sainz was the second victim and unfortunately I can say without problems that Ferrari no matter how good of a car they can manage to have on track with these guys directing the strategies they will rarely be in the podiums if they will ever be,as other teams are progressing much better.

World, we have a problem. It seems that Putin's regime is not willing to continue the grain & agricultural exports deal through Odessa. What does this mean for you:

- If you live in Africa, you are unlikely to be able to afford grains this year. Time for cat hunting.
- If you live in Poland, good news:  you now hold the key for passage of 25% of the grain food in the world (or so).
- If you are Putin, you are likely to get some calls from your developing countries' "friends" all over the world begging you not to be an asshole.

Perhaps once you get into killing, it does not matter if you are killing beyond your means.

I think with a 95% chance the grain deal will not be renewed. There are several reasons for this, in fact, none of the conditions requested by Russia within the framework of this deal was fulfilled. Any deal assumes that all interested parties receive their part of the benefits from its implementation, in this case, the benefits of extending the grain deal for Russia are not obvious.

That is funny as if I were the West who the f is Russia to dictate what grain deal is or is not,I would bomb the hell out of them and in 3.5 hours Russia would be a desert but hey the West are to soft I know this and that is why Russia behaves like they are the godfather of the world, funny when the Ruble is just 0.01 Euro cent, the lowest in many months showing the misery that Russian economy is deep dived in this hole,I doubt their economy looks recovering soon despite their bullshit BRICS thing which they have gotten together a bunch of extreme poor African countries.

The funniest thing of all this is that Putin continues the war and while Russians become poorer everyday they seem to support it,I thought they were a bit smarter but hey I keep misjudging them.

Luckily, West is led by evil, but smart people, and not by you and the likes

2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: July 09, 2023, 05:53:34 PM
No matter how many times I've tried to play slots, I've never managed to win anything... I lost regularly, while changing the odds from three lines to the maximum number, I think it was 27 or 30 lines, I could be wrong... But I know people who win decent money from time to time in slots... I guess it depends on luck... I have more luck in football betting...
Slots will always depend on luck, no matter how hard we change the odds we still can't predict what will come out so we can only guess and hope that the multiplier is high especially when I have done a lot of spins but only get a low multiplier, but I was lucky enough to at least have I have enjoyed profits several times, although not from the very high multiplier that many players hoped for, but that was enough to make my deposit increase several times and enough to enjoy the game as well as the profits. Sports betting is different even though sometimes you try your best to predict the results but it can not be as predicted.

That is the beauty of slots and that is why it is the most played game in every well known casino,in there many people try to hit that super high or at least very high multiplier in a very short amount of time as it takes just one hour to spin the game several time and hope for the best, this emotion and adrenaline cannot be found anywhere else in other games including sport betting. The problem though is that the super high multiplier as many providers point it to by the simulation they have done it can come in 1 in 15 million spins so it is not that easy to catch and that is why everybody in the long run loses on slots,I don't know yet any person who has won consecutively on slot machines by normal play (not cheating).

Sigh, tried moving around some picks on gut, took a big risk, and still end up 1.5 points behind yellow cap. Superbru as usual being really slow to update so can't even really see the leaderboard to check if I moved up/down the ranks but I'll take anything below 2 points off the pack leader.

Slowly but surely, I think I can manage that. Great Hammie finish, wouldn't you say (unless you're the prancing horse)?

Great Hammie finish but yes he knows how to take profit of the situation thanks to his experience and his race engineers which by the way are completely different than those of Ferrari which seems to be screwing their drivers with their strategy race after race.

I also checked Superbru and this tournament it takes ages to confirm yet I see I am just 0.5 points behind the yellow cap winners which are two this time,as long as I maintain 0.5-1 point distance from the yellow cappers every remaining race I am sure I can end in the prize spots but it is to early to be thinking about it,let's take every race as step by step toward that goal.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 09, 2023, 04:39:22 PM

For Haaland I'm sure that won't happen and Man City will never let Haaland go for any reason plus Haaland and his father have agreed to focus on his growth with The Cityzen. So for Mbappe it might still be 50:50 because from the start Madrid had their eyes openly confirmed. The problem is that currently, Mbapppe is still in the prolonged drama stage which makes rumors even more difficult to realize. Considering that the costs that Madrid has to spend are quite large (although Madrid is capable), along with PSG's demands for Mbappe it is increasingly difficult to fulfill. Mbappe's most bitter risk is deciding to stay and extend the contract or ...... Roll Eyes
I also assume like you, Haaland has grown a lot since joining Manchester City, now he is at the right club and under a great coach who can help him become the best player in the world. Haaland and Manchester City are well connected, at least for now there is no reason that can change Manchester City and Haaland's desire to separate.
The prolonged drama makes Real Madrid feel like waiting for rain in the dry season, the possibility is there but the chance is very small. Real Madrid are still patiently waiting for a certainty from this drama, I'm starting to doubt that Real Madrid can get Mbappe in the transfer market this time especially since Liverpool are starting to interfere with Real Madrid in their hunt for Mbappe, unless Real Madrid dares to raise an offer that is in accordance with PSG's wishes.

I doubt Haaland would want to leave Manchester City after winning everything back there in just one or two seasons that he played there already, that is such a huge achievement to win the Champions League in such a short amount of time. Therefore there is no need for him to move to Real Madrid or any other team which ever team is it,he won't be doing any better than he has done at Manchester City so the Haaland card is not an option for Real Madrid.

Mbappe is an open option I guess despite PSG wanting to keep him and Liverpool also fighting for him,he is the right target for Real Madrid as he can make a big difference compared to Modric which plays there now.

Russia traditionally commits war crimes in all its wars, and today's war with Ukraine is no exception.

That is absolutely correct but while many such crimes have been committed in the past where there were no such advanced technologies as we have today most of them are only documented through history while the atrocities in Bucha,Irpin and Kharkiv are well documented thanks to our technologies and this is enough to call the Russians the worse breed of murderers today on earth, yes they well pass the ISIS gang. The fact that they killed civilians en mass was the worse crime that anyone can commit and they were innocent civilians having nothing to do with such war.I don't remember any other crime as huge as atrocities in Bucha and the other places mentioned here so yes Russians are the pure evil on earth.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: July 09, 2023, 03:53:01 PM
Very good start from Norris, the second McLaren had also almost overtaken Verstappen and is now also putting Verstappen under pressure. Hamilton made a small mistake and is now in ninth place, Perez also had a bad start, I would have prediction LecLerc as second, I hope Ferrari doesn't ruin the race again in the pits or with the strategy.

Alonso had a good start and is already seventh.

McLaren was truly the best car after Redbull and even Redbull maximum in 25 laps of the race made just a 6.9s distance meaning that it was not that bad as an engine which even Russell said look how fast is that McLaren in the straight even with those hard tires.

Unfortunately Ferrari screwed it once again with their strategy,I think twice, first by making Leclerc come in the stop as the first drivers of the top at an early stage of the race compared to other drivers, the second with Sainz,he asked his race engineer please sort this out soon, and he said to him stay out, another mistake which cost them being the last places in the point,a complete disappointment for Ferrari in this race.

Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do

But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.

Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?

https://theafricanhistory.com/2975#:~:text=My%20father

That is how you lose on a great player like Mbappe when you are a corrupted country like Cameroon and many other African countries lose such star players exactly because of the same reason. Also in many other third countries in the world the same is happening and I think these type of interviews should have much wider visibility so those people who asked for money would be seeing how big these players become and stop doing it.I know that it is much more difficult to achieve because we are talking about poor countries but these poor countries should start to think bigger for themselves. It would be nice to see such a player playing for Cameroon, not that I don't like seeing him play with France.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 09, 2023, 01:48:19 PM
PSG strategy lack long term plans and are centred on bringing stars to Paris for the "show" and to collect money from selling their stuffs (shirts...). If they want to win something other than Ligue 1 title, then they will have to build a real team not based only on high budget players that are useless. Neymar for example wasn't that helpful the latest seasons, Messi was useful the last season but he moved, Mbappe will play his last season, why keeping him and lose a mountain of money from selling him?
Getting a new coach like Enrique was a nice move but they have to start looking for the next three - five years if they want a big title.

PSG are very ambitious for the Champions League. and it leads them to burn too much money to get it all instantly. and they always fail. they didn't keep their best squad for long. if they can plan some good long term players. I think it is very likely that they will not only be Ligue 1 champions. It is possible that the target of their ambition for the UCL trophy can be achieved if they consistently build their team, not just with a business that brings them money.
after several strong players in their team left, it is possible that they will have a hard time competing in the Champions League.

They need two things, the winning mentality in Champions League which can only be build during many time participation there which they have done, now they have it as they have been participating from many years now and second is what they are missing which is a team that will play long term with each other and that both players will be harmonized and would have a single objective to win the Champions League while having fun playing.I think that when they will achieve this,to have a lot of great players in each department, defense, midfield and attack only then they can try to win the Champions League,I see difficult for them to achieve it this year.

Justice,we all strive for it yet very few countries if any at all have true justice.I use to also teach IT classes to people who want to change careers and at one such course I had one student that told me she was in for justice studies and came here only to see what IT has to offer,I told her that all the IT jokes are with lawyers and she told me I want to be a prosecutor.I asked her then a direct question, will you bring us true justice or sometimes you will be corrupted and the answer she gave me stunned me,she said it would depend on the consequences which led me to think that she would take money sometimes and true justice for me does not exist,of course this is just an example but I am sure many countries has just that blind justice.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 09, 2023, 01:10:08 PM
But it seems that people still don't care about that because many people still try to make money from gambling and even try to use gambling as their main income. They should be aware of this and look elsewhere to make money because that will give them a better chance of making money.

People often learn from their mistakes, and when it comes to gambling, some may try to see if they can make money from it. However, it's important to note that gambling should not be relied upon as a consistent source of income. Relying solely on gambling for income would mean leaving a stable job for something uncertain.

It would be a really bad move to change a stable job for gambling, while you may be great at sport betting or texas holdem poker where skill is prevalent compared to luck but still the referees can impact the game in such way that you lose your game. While there are people,at least on TV who we see on Pokerstars who are living on gambling as proof, the reality is those who are doing it can be counted with the fingers of one hand.

Therefore even great gamblers, people who have won multi million dollar jackpots have lost them again in gambling because of their addiction,so gambling cannot be considered as a success if you try to live by it,many people have failed even those who have won the jackpots because of gambling uncertainty or the certainty that in the long run you will lose.

It is incredible how Max is never punished for what he is doing in the race.

Today he overtook Russell under the yellow flag, for that reason he did the time in the Q2 otherwise he was out and unable to fight for the pole position.    Result? no penalty for an infraction, again.

I think FIA keeps an eye close not only for Max in this case but for whoever is the dominating Champions in the F1 season. In 2000-2004 never a penalty for Schumacher for a lot of so unorthodox things he did back then and he didn't need to because he had the best car that dominated those years as Ferrari won 5 titles in a row.

Next Hamilton with Mercedes going unpunished for what he did, especially in 2016 when he was fighting teeth to teeth with his team mate and Rosberg beat him in that year,FIA of course did not punish him,it looks like this is a bad standard from FIA which of course I agree needs to be changed.

McLaren kept their promise for Silverstone race and the fact that even Piastri who had not been in good form recently was in 3rd place while Norris in 2nd place means that the upgrades truly have worked out.

I think it will be difficult for both of the McLaren drivers to be on the podium today but surely Lando with his experience can manage to be at least 3rd while for people blaming Perez me included,he for all of us has a good opportunity to repay us all as we bet on him to be on the top 3 and we make some nice amount of money  Grin.

The bell tolls for Perez after another disappointing qualifying performance. They asked Verstappen about Perez's qualifying performance and he said that you should be able to qualify for Q3 with this car. He is right of course as Red Bull have the fastest car on the grid now. Just look at how Albon is much better than him recently with that poor Williams car.  Grin

There was even a rumour like Albon would return to Red Bull but now it is said that he might be brought to Ferrari in case of Sainz's departure. Ricciardo is still the most rumoured driver to replace Perez. Perez has no choice other than climbing to podium again. At least it would be some compensation.

There is no such thing as Sainz departure on the horizont,I think you have not read the news all over the place where Ferrari extended for another two seasons with Sainz while Leclerc is near it too so there is no room for Albon to come to Ferrari, not at least before another 2 seasons end.

I think Perez has still everything under control as long as he can qualify second in points in the end of this season which is easy doable in my opinion considering he has the best car on the grid then he would be renewed his contract, why would want Redbull to ruin things as long as Max wins titles and his team mate is 2nd overall?
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 09, 2023, 11:22:22 AM
a natural feeling that almost all of us have felt in the world of gambling and I think you have felt this feeling too.
maybe some people think this is the beginning of someone's addiction but not for me. because that feeling of regret will be felt by all of us as gamblers even if it only loses $ 1 it's just that regret has different levels.
I mean when a person who gambles then loses any amount he will keep coming back when he has the money because he only thinks about the previous losses. so this is about poor self-control.
Yes, I have experienced feelings like that before because after experiencing defeat after loss from playing gambling, it makes me regret that I have played gambling. But in the past, regret was just a feeling because a few days later, I returned to gambling at a different casino. But now I'm not like that because now I consider gambling entertainment and nothing more so I can gamble whenever I want and stop whenever I want. Maybe it really takes effort to think of gambling as entertainment because I also experienced it first.
Changing our thought process is always a challenge as this is something we do automatically, and if you do not make an effort to change you will eventually go back to your previous habits, however it can be done by those that are decided to make a change as they understand that if they keep behaving in this way then sooner or later dire consequences could come their way, and while gambling can be an extremely nice hobby, for a person that is out of control gambling can be a terrible obsession as the losses can accumulate at an impressive speed.

Many gamblers feel this remorse when they lose money but most of them are so addicted that they soon after this happens they forget about it and they already start thinking about the next session where they think they will win it big.People who are continuously in this loop are the people in most risk when it comes to extreme gambling addiction, they are not at all aware what is happening towards them and these are the persons which are most difficult to acknowledge that they are addicted in the first place. These people are almost always those that end up badly as they keep increasing their bet every upcoming session, the true winners are those who after feeling remorse think carefully before planning the next move.
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 10:59:44 AM
Can we define what gambling addiction is?

It's only someone who keep gambling continuously or it's someone who keep gambling continuously despite they lose a lot money and ruin their life? If you consider the first choice, it's not a problem because an addicted successful gambler will keep making money. While the other one, become a gambling addict sounds bad.

If you're making money through trading Bitcoin, it's not a problem to say you're an addicted trader isn't?

I would agree with this although the reality though is that successful gamblers, the ones we see in different streaming services should be addicted because they keep streaming and streaming very often, sure they get money out of the streams they do but they also lose a lot of money from what I have seen in the long run.Now I don't know if they are paid by the casinos they promote (most likely they are) which makes them successful gamblers as they are playing with other people money,in this case from the casino they promote and this is a great way to be successful, whatever they win they keep it themselves and ask for more money to promote further the casinos that they offer money to do so.So yes in most cases successful gamblers are addicted.
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 09, 2023, 10:20:43 AM
That would be a great record to have, but FIFA is so concentrated on making money and extracting as many resources from the world cup that it would not surprise me if at some point they had the fantastic idea, notice my sarcasm, to play the world cup every two years instead of doing so every four years, in which case the record of Ronaldo will be easily crushed, now this may seem unrealistic now but it would not surprise me if they actually tried to do this in a few decades.

World Cup every two years? Impossible!!!

As ambitious for money as FIFA is, this would be a totally inappropriate suggestion for a competition of the magnitude that the world cup has.

In order to hold this event, there must be large investments by the host countries, a lot of mobility and changes in the schedule, there is no way to do this every two years.

Fifa has already increased the number of teams in the competition and this is what they can do best.

Another solution would be to make the tournament a regular competition and more spread out between the years, but that would take the "brightness" out of the tournament and become a "normal" competition.

The less Fifa messes with the world cup, the better!

You didn't even notice his sarcasm Cheesy he just said it mate.

A World Cup in every two years really do sounds ambitious and I don't think that it will be granted if ever the FIFA council will try to make it. Countries around the world will lose their desires to host for this kind of event as it will be not rare anymore and people won't be that interested anymore as they know that they can always see the next World Cup in the next two years, instead of four years where they will indeed prepare for it and will not lose the chance to see the event.
World cup in every two years would be interesting and the competition will loss it's value and zeal of players to be part of the competition. FIFA wouldn't even try to put it into consideration because it will be stressful for them too. So much funds will be involved within a short period of time that might become a burden on the host country. I guess FIFA might have thought of this due to their love for money but they must have considered it boring. For a player to appear in three consecutive world cup competition that means that the player started playing very young but if it is every two years,I might say that the same country might win it back to back.
In football, not only the World Cup is held but several tournaments are held every year and after two years usually the Copa America and Euro tournaments are held, in which case it is a good decision to hold a major tournament like the World Cup every four years. When the World Cup tournament is held after four years, this World Cup is of great interest to the people of all countries. If this kind of tournament is organized every two years, it will be very difficult for FIFA to collect such a huge amount of funds and FIFA will not get the popularity that it gets if it is held every four years. If the World Cup could be held after two years then FIFA should have decided long ago. Since many tournaments are held every year, the World Cup should be held every four years.
When the world cup football is held all over the world, the whole world focuses only on the world cup football. Due to which, apart from football lovers, many people express their interest to watch the World Cup. Football world Cup is organized every four years, it creates a festive atmosphere for the entire world. If this world cup is brought in 2 years instead of 4 years then it will definitely lose its popularity and people's interest. Moreover, few other tournaments are held after two years, there is a possibility of losses in those tournaments as well. So overall I think hosting World Cup football every 4 years is more relevant.

I don't think the fans will lose interest in the World Cup if it is held every 2 years, but the World Cup will definitely lose its prestige.
Also, with the increase in the number of national teams participating in the world championships, there will be a drop in the quality of the competition, and it can already be said that the EURO is a higher quality and more uncertain football competition.
However, for FIFA, the increase in earnings due to more frequent World Cups is obviously much more important, and this will obviously happen.
Today, everything is about money and sports motives have been lost.

I strongly agree with this,Sport motives have been lost, where I live now in a Western Balkans country I have seen in satiric TV emissions that the president of one club had put the manager of a player to let the game and the funny thing the manager was saying to the footballer,"I am not saying you should do a penalty no,you just put the ball out in throw in or corners or you fall down, you know what to do" and they were put to jail thanks to this investigative satiric programs.

This to illustrate that FIFA does not give a damn anymore about sportsmanship but they want to fill their pocket with money, since sport betting came we lost real football battles except a few of them, most of them are theater playing rather than football playing, this is the same even with World Cup and Euro,I know I may sound way too dramatic but that is the truth.
