Eddie, my trust feedback is technically correct, it just twists the intention of the quote.

No man.. That shit ain't close to true.. As I just thoroughly demonstrated..

I left my feedback because of his, which is also technically correct, but twists the intention.

"Vod began spreading lies about my taxes of which he has no knowledge, in order to try and "negotiate a settlement" which is how he publicly disguised his extortion attempt. When I refused to give in to his extortion disguised as a "settlement" on behalf of the IRS, Vod dedicated massive amounts of his time to spreading lies about my actions. Behavior like this shouldn't be tolerated in this community. Screenshot in the event he deletes his post: https://i.imgur.com/B7nkVi4.png"

Lets break this down and see if we can find any untruths.. Feel free to help me out...

"Vod began spreading lies about my taxes of which he has no knowledge"
Yeah, you have no idea what he pays and what he doesn't..

"in order to try and "negotiate a settlement" which is how he publicly disguised his extortion attempt. When I refused to give in to his extortion disguised as a "settlement" on behalf of the IRS"
You wanted him to post his tax proofs on the basis that one of you would leave the forum for good depending on what he did or did not pay.. He refused to post any proofs of his taxes, which he had no obligation to do.. He refused your offer..
Maybe he would rather maintain his financial privacy than give a fuck about proving something on the internet??

"Vod dedicated massive amounts of his time to spreading lies about my actions."
True..

"Behavior like this shouldn't be tolerated in this community."
Well, I think it should be tolerated, but recognized for what it is, which is not lately the behavior befitting a good role model of the community..

The 2 opposing negative ratings are on 2 entirely different levels of truthfulness..
His may include some opinion and maybe shouldn't use the word "extortion", while yours selfadmittedly is 100% untruthful manipulation intended to mislead the casual observer, and just place some red in retaliation..

I've told you before that I like that you do a lot of good things around here, and respect that you are a true OG user, but these are not the actions of someone I would look up to as a good role model.. I want to continue to see you do good things but stop this stupid shit..
A good example to lead by would be to hold yourself to the highest of standards no matter the situation and always do the right thing no matter if you stand to gain or lose by doing so, and you are sadly falling far short of that benchmark.

Trust ratings are not pawns in a game of chess..
Involving the government to investigate something you cannot, and get rid of someone that you cannot, over a personal quarrel, is not fair game, and could lead to disastrous consequences far in excess of some internet pissing contest..

You didn't really report him to the IRS did you? I don't think you did..

Get some of my respect back by fixing your trust rating..
Make it something 100% true..
Even if you make it red for an opinion such as "I hate him!!", that would be better..
1762  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: November 18, 2019, 10:31:30 PM
Vod posted this in response to Og twisting the same statement to his benefit.

But the statement is 100% to OGNasty's benefit... So their is no twist..

I was disgusted by the reckless and vicious doxing in this case, where:
 - The evidence was very thin.
 - Even if all of the allegations were true, it'd likely result only in civil penalties, not criminal.
 - The whole thing was motivated merely by past arguments. OgNasty never caused Vod to even lose anything, as far as I know. An utterly ridiculous & disproportionate escalation.
 - It's based on the premise that purely statutory crimes are directly unethical, which I don't agree with at all, though I'm willing to mostly look past this as subjective.

It's good that Vod came to his senses on this after the fact, though doing it at all certainly blemishes his reputation in my mind, and I added to my notes the fact that those users merited such a post. Meriting it is saying basically that we need more posts like this on the forum, and we do not need more posts like this on the forum.

Red-trusting Vod over this is an appropriate usage of red-trust, since his actions here are highly trust-relevant. But I tend to think that since he edited his post and seems to genuinely regret at least the public doxxing part, it'd be best to forgive.

For the meriters, I can understand the argument for red-trust, but I tend to think that it's at the wrong level. If the meriter was meriting it because they were actively thinking, "I want to make the forum really vicious, where everyone is constantly tearing each other apart for stupid things, and this post moves in that direction," even that's not really a trust-relevant motive, just a very unhelpful motive. And probably the meriters were thinking more innocent things than that.
1763  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: November 18, 2019, 09:56:56 PM
I don't know if this is aimed at me in any way

Nah.. I have been watching this since I was one of the first ones to alert about this IRS shit in the first place, when the dox happened, and have seen a lot of otherwise good users defend Vod and attack OG in this situation..

Though I really don't understand why you think this..
Og on the other hand is a filthy liar

Vod being a liar is without question though, right here is all you need to see that as clear as day..

In reference to this statement by theymos, on the topic of Vod doxing OG and reporting him to the IRS..

I was disgusted by the reckless and vicious doxing in this case, where:
 - The evidence was very thin.

It's good that Vod came to his senses on this after the fact, though doing it at all certainly blemishes his reputation in my mind, and I added to my notes the fact that those users merited such a post. (<""fine users") Meriting it is saying basically that we need more posts like this on the forum, and we do not need more posts like this on the forum.

Red-trusting Vod over this is an appropriate usage of red-trust, since his actions here are highly trust-relevant. But I tend to think that since he edited his post and seems to genuinely regret at least the public doxxing part, it'd be best to forgive.

Which is very obviously addressing the behavoir of Vod himself, NOT OGNasty, as Vod's negative trust rating falsely implies..

That is a lie, by Vod, in a trust rating at that, and is still there to this day!!
How the fuck is that OK with anyone?

"which is a sure sign that OGNasty is untrustworthy" <Vod's trust rating
theymos was talking about Vod, not OGNasty..

Will any of you even try to tell Vod to atleast fix his blatantly untrue negative trust rating?

Also I have some doubts about breaking down doors for tax audit

In this situation they would want his computers un-tampered with, no destruction of evidence, so I could totally see them barging in to grab whatever evidence they want.. They would also know their are very large amounts of value at stake here, giving them all the more incentive to snatch it live..

Remember what they did to DPR? They even busted him in a way where they made sure his laptop didn't get shut so it would encrypt..

Here's my take on this. I pay my taxes. Those who don't pay are assholes because guess what - they're not reimbursing me personally for the shit they use

Here is my take on this..
- It's based on the premise that purely statutory crimes are directly unethical, which I don't agree with at all

I agree with theymos on this subject..

you are a big fish.   You are "set for life" according to you
Vod reaffirming the fact that OGNasty is a high value target for thieves, as well as a government..
1764  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: November 18, 2019, 02:57:06 PM
The claims of reporting on Og weren't in response to any forum funds, and I may be messing up my timelines here but I don't believe it put the forum funds at risk.

If the IRS actually opened a criminal case against him it would not be unusual for them to freeze or confiscate until further notice any and all of his accounts and assets he is/was in control of, including the forums BTC, pending investigation..

It would also bring a lot of heat onto the forum.. The IRS being after the forums treasurer for tax fraud? Get ready for that colonoscopy theymos..
Maybe they could find something to get Theymos for too while they are at it, that would really suck right? Are you sure that theymos and the whole forum is financially 100% squeaky clean? Or is that a risk your just wiling to toss into the hands of the IRS?

And yes, it happened before the new multisig escrow deal, while OG was still holding that entire very large balance..

Also as I posted before, this kind of thing is what makes no-knock raids happen, where they come kick down your door and immediately shoot your dogs, and often shoot you, especially if you were legitimately planning on defending yourself because say, someone posted your address and information about the value therein giving criminals the perfect target..
Getting a no-knock while expecting robbers is the perfect way to get killed by cops..
People have gone free, miraculously surviving the situation at all, after having shot and killed police in a no-knock, because they don't announce themselves, so it has been deemed a clean shoot by the court.. They just come in with guns like its Iraq..

What would have happened to the forum funds OG was holding if he got killed in a no-knock or killed by some burglar coming after that loot? Possibly gone forever..

How about some Civil Forfeiture facts while we are at it..
"Civil forfeiture in the United States, also called civil asset forfeiture or civil judicial forfeiture[1] or occasionally civil seizure, is a criminal justice financial obligation. It is a legal process in which law enforcement officers take assets from persons suspected of involvement with crime or illegal activity without necessarily charging the owners with wrongdoing. While civil procedure, as opposed to criminal procedure, generally involves a dispute between two private citizens, civil forfeiture involves a dispute between law enforcement and property such as a pile of cash or a house or a boat, such that the thing is suspected of being involved in a crime."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_forfeiture_in_the_United_States

Their is another possibility how it could have been a huge risk to the forum's funds.. It's take first and ask questions later..
Imagine BTCT suing the government for years trying to get their funds back after it was taken in a Civil Forfeiture..

Governments, including the US government, are very dangerous in many ways..

I was sorry when I posted OG's known address on this forum, but no one cares.

Not only did he put OGNasty, and the forums funds, at risk to the IRS, he also put them at risk to any thug looking for a high value target to steal..
People get shot dead, tortured, kidnapped etc. over that kind of money all the time and Vod laid the exact location of a very big score out for them on a silver platter..

Refresh my memory, didn't he even hint at something like "I hope nobody breaks in".. ??
It would be cool if someone could post a screen shot or archive of that dox post so I know I have my facts straight - feel free to redact the dox part obviously..

Whose side are you on? Bitcoins side? Or some stupid governments side?
Doesn't have to be one or the other.
Satoshi created Bitcoin for the purpose of giving governments the middle finger..

Reporting scammers helps bitcoin gain legitimacy
Reporting the treasurer of Satoshi's Bitcoin forum to the IRS helps Bitcoin gain legitimacy?
Headline: "Original Bitcoin Forum Management Implicated In Tax Fraud"
That'll be some good press..

It boggles my mind as to why so many fine users here care about these petty side squabbles while they are IMO completely overshadowed by this whole IRS situation..
Maybe I am the only one who thinks the IRS situation is a big deal but I think it is a very big deal..

I am still trying to find out for sure weather he actually did make a report to the IRS, or if he just said that he did and actually didn't...
Can anyone clear that up for me as well? I think only Vod knows..

1765  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: November 18, 2019, 03:01:43 AM
The way I see it, either Vod snitched to the IRS on our forums treasurer, who was holding a very large amount of the forums value, Or, Vod lied about snitching to the IRS on our forums treasurer..

That forum treasurer who is still our forum treasurer.. That OGNasty guy..

IDGAF if he was selling crack cocaine, shut your whore mouth and don't call the IRS on this forum's bankroll.... Are you fucking stupid or something?

Whose side are you on? Bitcoins side? Or some stupid governments side?

Fuck the (any) government.. Fuck taxes.. And Fuck snitches..
This is fucking Bitcoin!!!!!

1766  Economy / Reputation / Re: scam scare on: November 17, 2019, 02:33:06 PM
This is why I like deals discussed and agreed upon in open transparent threads, not in PMs, and much less on Telegram..
The redundant formalities seen in lending threads of a formal loan request, a formal contract offer, and a formal agreement to the contract by both parties before any coin or collateral are sent, is great protection for both parties because then everyone can see exactly what the contract is and that both parties agreed to it..

I refuse offers to migrate to Telegram from Bitcointalk.. That in itself is a huge red flag according to me..
I have done deals on telegram but only when it started on Telegram in the first place, and have offered to use BTCT escrow from Telegram, not the other way around..

The only time I have ever been scammed in Crypto was on YIM taken there from the Cryptsy trollbox long before I ever registered an account on BTCT, and learned my lesson.. Was like a $30 amazon gift card I was trying to sell for BTC and got ripped off.. Oh well..

I don't think that ALL cases of refusing to accept escrow, or refusal to deal on your legit terms, is proper grounds for a tag, but can be, and are often 100% suspicious..

Your case does sound extremely suspicious like they were trying to scam you, and if you have any reason to believe that they are also targeting others with this possible scam attempt, maybe you should bring awareness of it to the community..
It does sound like a somewhat sophisticated scam attempt aiming at a big target..
1767  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests for other users too!) on: November 17, 2019, 01:20:30 AM
Well that was easier than expected. Grin
Why has this thread become quiet?  Cry

This thread got some action because you got called out on your threat, but since it was however unsurprisingly an empty threat, and with your speed to decline to follow through on your threat, much less accept a wager on the premise thereof (that was the hype), it got real boring again real fast..

People saw what happened and their really isn't much to say about it that hasn't been beaten to death already before..
1768  Economy / Reputation / Re: Feedom of speech on: November 15, 2019, 03:15:45 AM
@Royse777: Can you add an "r" to the title? It took me this long to notice "Feedom".
It's fine. It's a subliminal message trying to condition us into paying a fee for speech.
Nice punchline to..
Perhaps we should do it the Bitcoin way and charge a TX fee for each post Smiley
I got it Wink

~snip~
I think you and Lauda should have a drink together may be you can some beep beep beep ...

Only if I am the pleasuree in the leopard pants..

aka reeeeedom of speech
Like..

Or..

Huh

Either or tho really.. That's cool..

Since lauda still appears to be on DT where can we obtain the data that reveals which of the 100+ members theymos requested exclude the scamming trust abusing scum bag REFUSED to do so?

Whew...
Now that I look at it, my bet might have been pretty dangerous.. Quite the formidable opponent I have found myself at odds with over the years...

I don't understand why all these people trust lauda but I am not capable of understanding all of the universe..

Requested will be accepted if only Lauda accepts the challenge :-P
Come on Lauda! You are adorable :-)

Sigh.. Lauda backed down so I guess you can lock it, but really this is the sort of stuff everyone should get to see and comment on IMO..
Locking it will just protect Lauda from public scrutiny..

Bumping because of this:

@Lauda I hereby challenge you to a 0.25BTC bet that you will not get a flag supported against me for advocating freedom of speech.. @ 1 week after your flag creation, so it has time to settle in ya know.. Let everyone get some time to support or oppose..
I don't play stupid games, not with libtards, not with anyone. eddie needs to stop being a virtue signalling wanker and start growing up. "Challenge" denied. Anything else? Kiss

"Challenge" denied.
Awwwwsss... Come on grumpy kitty.. You know you want that string..
ya braindead cunt
lolz
You tosser must have mistaken me for someone else; I can't change that title - it poses no relevance anymore.  Smiley No challenges, nada. Stop derailing the thread. No further responses are necessary.

I guess the challenge is denied Sad

I debated the account sales flags until they were green-lighted and then I acted upon it.

Should we ask Theymos for a green light to flag freedom of speech virtue signalers? Who should we ask for a green light?

I doubt anyone would mind just giving it a whirl to see what happens..
Like all those other unsupported flags you created.. One more can't hurt.. Right?

Heyyyyy, lets have some context if you are going to help throw me under the spotlight..

http://archive.is/tFnNS

Freedom of speech is worth a very high cost.. Untold thousands have paid with their lives trying to ensure its continuity..
Bitcoin is at the heart of freedom of speech.. It is its purpose..
That has nothing to do with this forum. Stop appealing to emotions. More people will lose their lives while we tolerate this virtue signalling and selective use of "freedom of speech" nonsense by libtards. No wonder this place has become a collective garbage pile of baboons.
Yes mr. cryptohunter, I am completely against freedom of speech when it is used by virtue signallers like eddie13 et. al, and libtards as they mostly only advocate it when it works in their favour. Not that that has anything to do with allowing any bullshit on this forum.
What are you gonna do about it kiddo? Roll Eyes
FYI, I'm still debating whether virtue signallers warrant a type-0 flag

Lauda, you seriously make me LMFAO..

Watch out eddie ... lauda says fall in line of get a flag.

I don't really want any drama but I don't think that I'm the one it would end badly for..

I've been sick as fuck so I haven't even posted in almost 3 weeks, I say basically "I like freedom of speech" in my first post back, and get jumped by Lauda, and threatened to get flagged?
Pretty hilarious..

Will be locking the topic in the next 24 hours.
Please don't Sad

DarkStar_ escrow agreeable to you?
1775  Economy / Reputation / Re: Feedom of speech on: November 13, 2019, 03:38:29 PM
But in my opinion, there is no such thing as absolute freedom of speech in public places (like this forum) because your freedom sometimes will violate someone else's rights.

It's a bit hard to violate someone elses rights with speech only.. People don't have the right to not be offended, or the right to be provided a safe space where they won't encounter controversial or politically incorrect ideas..

Freedom of speech should come with freedom to hear (or not) otherwise it'd just degrade to useless noise drowning out anything of value. Creating garbage speech is typically much easier than something worth hearing so a single asshole can flood the whole board with nonsense. We do have some tools to that effect (Ignore) but unfortunately they don't work when the forum favors 50-account trolls.

I understand that this board can't maintain absolute free speech..

Perhaps we should do it the Bitcoin way and charge a TX fee for each post Smiley

That would be an interesting dynamic to try somewhere.. It is proven quite effective at reducing spam..
Reminds me of..
"But you must understand, young hobbit. It takes a long time to say anything in old Entish, and we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say."

I'm curious how you intend to prepare these?

I think you are supposed to get a shaman, or a reindeer, to eat them, and then drink their piss..

heres my entry to the art contest. It is a sculpture. I call it Bitcointalk Deity.

Im not so good with words so I am using a sculpture to express my feelings about bitcoin and bitcointalk.

When I first learned about Bitcoin it seemed like scam. Then I learned more about it was. Its something that has never existed before. Something new and bizarre and magical and excellent.

Those are the feelings i tried to evoke in my here art.

The media i used are a banana and banana tattooing.

The art piece also incorporates a hungarian stamp for 5 million adopengo from 1946. This was the last stamp that i knwo of in the hungarian hyperinflation and according to wikipedia 1 adopengo was 2x10E21 pengo. So if wikipedia is correct this stamp was worth 1E29 pengo. At the beginning of 1946, sending a letter cost about 20 pengo. So you can figure out how much hyperinflation there was over the year of 1946. A lot!

The piece also incorporates some ganja and a blotter paper because bitcoin means the freedom to do whatever we want and bitcointalk means the freedom to discuss these things.
The most important parts of the piece are a woodscrew, a tupperware container, a vibrating cock ring and two razor blades that make up the deities mouth. The deity is part inspire by the demigorgon from stranger things. I will let you interpret it as you please.

I hope you all enjoy. i incorporated some other peoples artwork that isnt mine including the satori coin, the silk road blotter paper the ganja and i got some inspiration for the chicken and the knife from some clip art on the internet but i dont know who the original artists is for any of this artwork.

one more thing im a newbie account that means i cant reply to your pms fast but to answer all your ¿?s yes, i will auction this sculpture off after the contest ends if there is interest.

the last thing u see before it eats u up

Ha, it is the time of year for that!!

I thought about doing something with a bunch of branches like that but my main plan is still something else..
Someone might not think it's very BTC related but it is very similar in that it is liberty related..
