Can someone explain me more about 0.1 FC transfer fee? When and why do I have to pay it? Where does it go? It can't just vanish, can it?
It goes to the miners. When a block is found it gets added to the reward for finding that block. So instead of a 200 FC reward, the miners will get a 200.1. |

Technically, structurally, all other things totally aside, this is my choice in a round design. 1. Compact, quickly recognizable, F engulfing C = (ownership, compartment, purse, wallet, secure, held, vault, hidden, strong) 2. Works, (structurally mind you), as a desktop icon, program icon, browser tab icon, taskbar icon ... because the structure lends itself to reduction in size and resolution. Functionality and flexibility. 3. Letter "C" inside the "F", again, has compact logo-like characteristics, scans for instant recognition. The "C inside the F" is two letters, and it is not, it is a "thing", a brand, an icon, an image unto itself. 4. It has a machine quality, component quality, things "fit" together, it has balance and strength and complexity, while having a quality where everything known about feathercoin can be instantly resolved and easily attached to the symbol. It's got an "elemental" quality, like AU, or AG. +1 ! I totally agree on point 1-2-3 ! Reduction in scale and resolution is very important, some of the incredibly nice logo posted here don't scale very well.. I can barely understand half of point 4, probably because I'm not native english speaker :-) My favorite of any I've seen is your bottom left. Love the design and the color. Bitcoin uses gold. Litecoin uses silver. This represents the copper/bronze ideals of FC. |

I haven't done business with any of them, but it does appear that DanJaker and BlackHawk37 are continually popping up as names involved in scams. Either way, I would recommend that multiple scam threads not be made in this forum. It is already clogged up enough. Take it to the scam forum, or atleast limit the accusations to one thread in this forum. |

Hey Guys - which pool is recommended to mine from?
Currently mining on mine.altpool.com - but the hashrate is only 50Mh/s atm, wondered if it's worth switching to fc.dontmine.me ? I have an account there and I know they have over half the network hashrate - will i actually gain anything by moving to a more popular pool?

No I wouldn't switch. The amount of FC you get won't change. If you did switch the only advantage might be that you get your payouts a minute faster after you build them up (It is a PPLNS pool afterall). But FC needs decentralization as much as possible in this early stage. Even the guy that runs dontmine.me is recommending no one else mine at his pool right now for the sake of the coin. In short: No reason to switch, and it benefits the coin to stay where you are. |

"Well, I've said this last time - this is bitcointalk.org not altcointalk ... " Then why have an alt coin forum at all? Administration has clearly chosen to have one. The way I see it there are three options: 1) Don't have an alt currency forum. 2) Have an alt currency forum that is disorganized and difficult to use. 3) Have an alt currency forum with organizational subcategories like every other heavily used sub forum on this board. |

Maybe in a week or two? Mincoin came out 2 weeks ago but it still doesn't have an exchange. Then again FC seems to be a lot more popular so hopefully sooner than later. I'm almost always pro alt coins, but mincoin was a disaster. Terrible launch idea. I see no adoption future for it at all. The only people that have any interest in it now, are those that mined it the first day. Feathercoin's launch was better, although I still would prefer an "announcement" period before the official launch. |

It has yet to even go on an exchange.Sth, seems wrong here, or i am rich and simply dont know it? lol Thinking of stopping/removing my selling threads I think there was a miscalculation somewhere. Current price in this auction makes the price of a BQC worth .000243. Clearly higher than DVC and IXC, but still much less than PPC. |

going back to mine bqc while its still under 65K until it gets too high also... bbqcoin? Is that stand for bqc? Yep. Great coin to mine. Slightly lower difficulty than this one now. Strong rumors of BQC hitting a couple of very popular exchanges as well. I've been mining it hard in anticipation of that. |

The port is 59332 and it has been from the start.
The pool that was on bbqcoin.org is going to be down indefinitely.
If people don't keep using the same compiled clients and same ports, that this coin is going to die.
I have 49 active connections to my client right now. I don't have the technical ability to put up a pool or I would be happy to do so. I definitely think we do need a pool though. What was the problem with the bbqcoin.org pool? |
