All of my miners are back up on line again and hashing on Kano. Let's crack this mother and get some blocks flowing for December!!! Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Ah well, looks like the price jump back up and the payout confirms were around the same time - maybe that helped a bit for anyone who converts Yes, I do that now at the end of each month. As soon as I got home from work today I transferred my coins from my Core Wallet, to Coinbase. Then sold them and transferred the $$ back to my bank. Cash should be in the bank by Friday. It helps with bills. Of course about half of that will go to pay my electric bill.

Good Grief! I had no clue when I shut my miners down some 25 hours ago that I would shut the pool down also! Since the rain has mysteriously vanished for the time being, I have fired all of the miners back up. Pumping out 49-50TH as we speak. Gotta ramp-up my speed on the "Workers" page, however. COME ON BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!P.S. I do know that my miners being shut down has nothing to do with the block diff or time.

And the rains came.... Hopefully putting out the forest fires!!! My 48-50TH are now offline until probably Wednesday night. I hope that means the pool finds 4-5 blocks per day! I just noticed and it seems my miners have been sucking in all the smoky air for the past few weeks and there is a fine layer of, what I can only guess, is ash from the fires in front of my output fans. I suppose this will be a good time to take the miners apart and blow out the dust/ash as well as I can. Good luck! See ya'll in a few days. Mine on!!

Sorry for the OT- Looks like I will have to shut down my miners tomorrow afternoon for the next few days. The weather report is calling for moderate to heavy rain through Wednesday. We do need the rain VERY badly as we are in extreme draught. Also many, many wildfires are burning within a 100-mile radius. They have burned almost 100 thousand acres so far and the smoke is covering portions of three states. It's very hard on the lungs and burning stinging eyes. Hopefully we can hit 3 or 4 more blocks by tomorrow afternoon!!! Come on TEAM!!! EDIT: I'm talking about the SE US wildfires. I know there are some tremendous wildfires in the middle east also. Damn arsonists!

Incidentally, if anyone ever gets into a dispute with Kano and/or CKolivas on Bitcointalk, and the following users appear in the thread to uncritically back every word that Kano/CK says: ....then don't worry. The fact that they're behaving as if they literally are Kano and CK arguing for themselves, probably means that these are the sock puppet accounts that Kano and CK used to kick this thread off, so that it didn't look like a graveyard to miners shopping for pools. Gentlemen, stick to computer/hardware programming. Your internet bullying abilities leave much to be desired. Well this is a crazy and a false accusement. Sounds like someone is drinking the cough syrup again. Pretty pitiful. Kindly go away and stop cluttering up our pool forum with your cry-baby non-sense. I've got you on "Ignore", yet your shit still clutters up our space. Please, someone go ahead and ban this idiot. Get out of your momma's basement and go play outside. Shesh.... P.S. Your accusations are pretty funny and are laughable, but still pathetic.

Kano's talking about banning me from Bitcointalk, I don't mine on his pool (although I am a miner)
--snip
Since you do not mine on this pool, go the hell away and quit clogging up our pool with your ranting. Thank you. Ignore Option Implemented. Goodbye.

Well my screwy S9 has started xing out again. Hopefully a night off and a restart tomorrow will bring it back to close to normal again. One of these days that's not going to work anymore. I have a feeling it is the controller. Which part of the controller I don't know. I really hate to be pulling that sucker apart again and swapping out parts to trouble-shoot the problem. Doing that makes for two miners off-line, not just one. %#%^&%$#%^&& Bitman! There goes my 5Nd When/if I get it repaired I will be going through Colorado. No more shipping parts to china for hundreds of dollars! I wish Canaan had been a real competition as far as hash/cash. But if it comes down to it, I'll just plug in one of my old S7's and over-clock it up to about 725 - It's cold enough here for that now with no worriers about over heating - until I can get the part -eventually - repaired. Damn crappy (expensive) cheap manufacturing!! POS GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Fall, you MthrFvkn block! Sorry for the OT. I plugged back in the crappy S9 that began showing errors last night. After a few minutes, X's started appearing in mass, at random on two of the boards. Changed the frequency to 550Mhz (it's supposed to be a 600Mhz miner), and restarted again. It's been running about 20 minutes now with just 4 or 5 x's on one board. This was how it has run for the last week or so. It's now averaging 11TH for the miner. Hopefully it will hang in there and stay like that. I'm in no mood to be screwing around with hardware trouble-shooting this Sunday morning! So I will have to mine with ~48TH on the pool for awhile until I can straighten out this wayward miner. A sledge hammer comes to mind as a good tool for this purpose.... Mine on!!! EDIT: Having one of four S9 miners off-line for about 12 hours put a big dent in my shift graft. It was looking so pretty and steady.

I bought 50 more S9s they should come within 20-25 days. If I connect them all plus my 3 current S9s would I affect this pool.?
Yes you will affect this pool. You will increase its chances of finding a block proportionate to the extra hashrate Yeah, I neglected to mention that effect. But it's a good one. LOL
|
|
|
I also have another question: I bought 50 more S9s they should come within 20-25 days. If I connect them all plus my 3 current S9s would I affect this pool. I do not want anyone to be adversely affected including myself Speaking for myself only, I welcome the extra hash rate with open arms. As far as I'm aware, there has been no definite positive correlation between S9's and bad luck on this pool. Until then, mine on!! p.s. I've got four S9's on this pool. EDIT: And I have found a block on this pool with one of my S9's.

Here you can find most profitable pool: bitcoinchain.com/pools
these pools are by # of blocks found and have nothing to do with profitability. They are mostly Chinese pools so if you are mining from other countries I would not use largest by size. I am a newbie but this list does not make sense to me.
Just because a pool finds the most blocks doesn't mean it is the most profitable pool. There are many other factors that go into determining what pool is the most profitable for individual miners. My research shows that the Kano/CK pool is the most profitable for it's members. Do your own research. Good luck and best wishes! Ah I think he means how much profit THE POOL IS MAKING which has absolutely nothing to do with the profit THE MINERS ARE MAKING. AH.... That's a different kettle of fish. Most likely the Chinese pools that keep the transaction fees (that should go to the miners) are raking in the most cash.

As far as I can see that site says absolutely nothing about profit, only plotting pool size which has absolutely no correlation with profit. Here is the link for the calculator Kano recommends for his pool. It is mostly specific to the Kano pool, but may apply and be accurate for others. Good luck! http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php

Will this pool be signaling for segwit at any point?
I ran a search to find Kano's opinions on it and it seems he's opposed to it for a few reasons. Attempted dev control of bitcoin and disk space issues stand out the most in my memory. Any further clarifications would be appreciated. I don't visit the forums that much, so I apologise if I missed a post regarding it.
Would also be very interested to hear ck's opinion as well. Thanks.
I'm not against it. Kano and I differ in opinion on this one and ultimately this is his pool; I'm part of the administration and tech support but it's not my pool. -ck, please forgive me for assuming you were against it. I should know better than assuming anything and putting words in other people's mouths. I stand corrected. Mine on!!
