681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: October 16, 2016, 05:40:25 PM
I have the purchased version of Awesome Miner Professional installed. Ver 1.7.6

It shows the red "updates are available" indicator, but when I try to update, it goes through the motions, restarts and everything, yet it doesn't update.
I have tried this about a dozen times.
Any hints or helpful information?
Thanks!

Well, I finally got it going....  Tongue

I had to uninstall the 1.7 version and download the newest version. Then it immediately started throwing up miner error messages on the screen, one on top of the other, on top of the other, etc. because I have a miner with a few dead chips. I finally had to kill it in task manager because the error messages had control of the screen and I couldn't get in to make any changes.

So I uninstalled that and tried to reinstall the older version. That installed but I had to reenter all of my miner info and customization configuration. Then that froze the program. I had to keep killing it in task manager and trying to restart it. But the program would never start. So finally, I uninstalled that and installed the newest version again. That worked. Then I went into "Options" and set things up. When I told it to allow API access, I guess that forced a restart of all my miners. At first I was a little miffed, but after the restart, the miner with the dead chips is showing all O's now. Hopefully if the X's come back it won't take over the program with error messages. I hope not. Time will tell. Smiley

Cool Cool Cool  "Weir" everywhere!  Grin

I make a lot of my own foodstuffs...bread, luncheon meat, bacon, dehydrating, etc... and I make my own super-premium ice cream. My favorite is a French vanilla/coffee infused sort that I proudly call "MIckey's Mocha."  Grin

BTW...glad the rain bands didn't do you in. I've got friends down on the SE coast that weren't so lucky...but they'll be OK. Not the first time, and surely won't be the last.

Sorry for the OT.
Thanks! I'd love to try some of that ice cream! How about shipping with some dry ice?  Wink

I met Mickey Hart when he and his band played at a music and arts festival down the road a few years ago. A very nice guy! His band is excellent also. If you ever get the chance, check him out. He is one smart drummer too! Smiley

p.s. Yes, the eastern parts of NC and SC really got slammed and are still flooded. Lots of loss of life from drowning also. When someone in the know tells you to evacuate, you probably should. Sad
We escaped with just a day of rain.

I'm on pool many time and at once with low power find block on pplns, but don't know that Kano put a pig to all of us.
Very good, that blocks accepted without comissions by pool.
But how we can spend this bitcoins? I try to move 1btc, but transaction weight about 100kb, because so many inputs. It's the biggest comission.
I think it not more good as SPV mining with empty blocks. Blocks with synthetical rubbish - analog of empty blocks for network.
For miners pool Kano is pool with hide comission about 5-10% for use mining bitcoins by time.
Of course, if you power more big - this comission less, but for big money you need too less inputs.
Therefore people go out from pool, because china frends not so honest, but not do this harm to their miners and network at all.
Pool is vitally important minimal limit settings for output.
I think I understand this. So first of all, the pool does take a comission - 0.9% off the block reward. How can you spend the Bitcoin? High fees because of the Bitcoin network isn't Kano's fault, though it could help if there was an option to set a payout threshold. If your not in a rush to send funds, you can send a small fee transaction (0.002 BTC fees for 100kb maybe) and eventually it will be confirmed, when the network isn't as busy. Kano confirms all non free transactions, so eventually it should be confirmed. SPV mining is worse because it might create a large orphan chain, as they don't verify the transactions and normal mining will confirm mostly legitimite transactions. Combining lots of inputs happens quite a bit, and I wouldn't call it rubbish.

You can try mining to a wallet service that covers transaction fees for you, like coinbase. Just make sure not to keep too much BTC in there at a time.

makes sense....

Amusing that "Kano giving us pigs" comment.

I'd rather have chickens!!!  Cheesy

And wmabern (The Purple Teddy Bear)  is back. Nice to see you again Grin

LOL. I saw your post on the last page but didn't relate it to me. Smiley

I haven't gone anywhere and have been here the whole time. Except on the day when Hurricane Mathew's rain bands were hitting my house and I had to shut down and close my windows.

BTW, the bear is a Grateful Dead "Dancing Bear" and not a "teddy bear"  Cheesy. I'm a Dead Head from way back and saw my first Grateful Dead show in 1977!  Grin

EDIT: I've got a tattoo of the same bear on my arm except he is carrying a rose. Smiley

OMG...I knew that about the bear, but wasn't gonna say anything...another DeadHead! Mine Rock on!

Okay, it's time for someone to crack a block. Don't want to be block-less for the day! Our pool horsepower sure has taken a hit.  Undecided

Looks like I'm losing two boards on one of my S9's. &%$$##$^&&**&^%$$###$%$%$#$$%^!

Rebooted a few times. It comes back all o's and after a few minutes, there are x's scattered throughout the two boards. I have just unplugged it for now and will screw with it again tomorrow. Damn it!!!!!!!!!

So my pool hash is going to be down to ~38TH until something changes.  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Heat is not an issue. It's cold here now. Most of my chip temps are in the low to mid 70's. Running from a Bitmain 240v PSU. Arggggggg.

I had a snowstorm on Saturday through night. When I woke up in the morning my S9 on balcony was *half* buried in snow. There was a pool of water around it. I freaked out. Then I powered it up, only two board half working and it could not work longer than 15 minutes. I thought I screwed up really bad. After sun dried all  day on Sunday, the two boards revived to full working state. Today I switched the data cable on the down board. hey, it came back up! I guess I am just REALLY lucky this time.

Cool. Glad it's working again, Where did you get snow?

I moved the cables around on my flakey S9 and down-clocked from 600 to 575 MHz and mine is behaving again with only a single x on one board. As long as it's averaging a little over ~12TH, I'm going to keep it running till it dies. Hopefully a while longer! Smiley
So I have ~50TH back on the pool for now.

Edit: Now the single x is gone. It will probably come and go. We shall see how it behaves in the coming hours / days.

p.s. Nice to see a healthy jump in the coin price for the day. I was a bit surprised when I looked today after work.

I recently joined Kano CK and its better than I thought!
I am running 2 full nodes.

How are you running two full BTC nodes? Are they on two different public IP addresses?

Block by n200ug!

 Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I sure wish my 5ND hadn't lost about 25 hours to the hurricane rain bands. Sad
It put a hurtin' on my payouts for the last 9 blocks. Just have to catch back up!! Smiley

Another Block by Jays 86!  This is his 52nd Kano block and our 4th of the day!  Cheesy

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I knew that my newly, turned-back-on 50TH would send us to towering heights today!!! Wink LOL. j/k

Congrats to Jays and congrats to our pool!  Grin Grin Grin Grin
Cracking blocks with 34PH!  Cool

More to come! Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I was finally able to fire my miners back up about 6:30 this morning. The hurricane rain bands have moved farther east. No more rain for the next 4 or 5 days. And low temps in the forecast for next week! Smiley My miners will be happy!

My "massive" 50TH will surely power the pool to three or four more blocks today!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm still cooking along with my ~50TH. Nothing else I can add.
As I've always said, the bright side of the low pool hash rate is a higher block percentage, thus a larger payout per block. Still, I wouldn't be sad if we had 10PH more on the pool.
But if we can hit four blocks per day on a semi-regular basis with only 35PH, hell yeah! Let's rock!

Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

BLOCK!

Just got home from work, turned on my laptop and logged into the pool. First thing I saw was that we had hit a block 1 second ago! That's pretty cool!  Grin

Now for a couple more for the day!!!!

Come on BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

EDIT: Wow, just noticed we are down to 36PH! Where is our juice??
