My only S9 that has found a block has been off-line now about two weeks waiting on parts replacement from B-man. I sure do hope they honor the warranty and ship me back a new hash board and BB Black board that went bad. On their ticket system it is still saying "Uncollected" even though "Barbara" from B-man said it was there and the ticket just hasn't been updated. Hope I get it back soon (a couple weeks) as I need that extra ~12TH back into my mini-farm. With that miner back in the fold, I'll have ~50TH of S9's to point at Kano. I've got three S7's just sitting waiting for the BTC price to rise enough to make them affordable to run again. $800 or so would be just fine, thank you, please! Sorry for the OT. Just wanted to share and get some good vibes back from the Kano gang! About time for a back-to-back block! I feel it's just around the corner!

Unfortunately, my heat is from a gas furnace but gets pushed throughout the house with a HVAC unit. So, when it gets cold I will open the door to my mining room some hours each day to let the heat flow into other rooms. It won't save me much on electricity, but I'll probably end up using less gas and may not have to run the HVAC fan as much.
I wish there were an easy way to redirect the heat from the miners into my HVAC system, but there isn't and I can't make any structural modifications to the house as I don't own it. But I may try to corral the heat from my 4 miners and duct it to one of the HVAC air intakes in the mining room and see how that does.

Haha! I do a lot of work at my computer and I have a cgminer monitor running a U3 on my second screen so I can see real time pool notices. It's pretty easy to instantly see when we hit a block. More power to you. I tried to setup cgminer on a win10 laptop and could never get it to run correctly. It did show some info regarding the Kano pool, but nothing that seemed very beneficial to me. I'm sure it wasn't set up just right. (And I'm an IT guy who should be able to do these things! ) I may try again sometime in the future to setup cgminer on a laptop on which I'm running Linux Mint. But just about any info I need is available from the Kano website. P.S. I'm running a full, up-to-date Bitcoin Core node on another very-locked-down Win10 laptop. It's fun and I feel good about being able to help the BTC system run as well as possible. I always have at least 12-20 inbound and outbound connections with many GB transferred in and out. Sure would be nice if node operators made a tiny % of all blocks found! I'm sure if that was the case, everyone and their brother, cousin, mother, and friend would be running full nodes!! Come on BLOCK FRIDAY! Let the GREENS rain down!! Good luck everyone!!! P.S. If anyone can send me a link to a very simple and fool-proof (I need that last part, LOL) method of setting up Cgminer for Kano on a Linux box, I would greatly appreciate it. I have read the threads and Googled all of that info, but much of the info was conflicting, outdated, or did not apply to me as I'm not running CPU's or graphics cards. It would be fun to have a working Cgminer app running on my little Linux Mint machine.

Very nice to see some green popping out at the top of the stats page. Let's keep it up! Unfortunately, I might have to take my miners down in a few hours once the hurricane/tropical storm rain bands start reaching my house. I hear ya...keep your head down, brother. Lester appears to be edging a bit north, so Kaua'i may dodge the bullet one more time. Glad to hear that! A similar occurrence to "my" hurricane/tropical storm, "Hermine". It's shifted further to the east, so we will *probably* get a lot less rain than was previously forecasted. It's just cool, cloudy and breezy outside now with no rain. Hopefully my miners will not have to come down at all. My miners are loving the cool temps with the S9 chip temps in the mid 80's! My outdoor temp is 67 F. Love it! Also LOVING the falling BLOCKS! Happy Block Friday, one and all!! Let's get some more GREEN on the board!!

Love seeing a block.
Need at least a couple more! These two-blocks days in a row are a little painful.

yes i expect it. just i dont see any block found by s9 users. most of my miners are labeled as such.. s7 with a number etc.. s9 ... and so on.. can anyone here say they have found blocks with s9? Just curious.. im sure is just a dry spell. but with closed source sw i dont feel 100 % May in turn its all unwarranted concern but thats why this is supposed to be open source. but anyway..
Best Regards d57heinz
One of my S9's found a block a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it's the same S9 that has a bad BB board and hash board that are somewhere in China by now I hope.

I'm still waiting for the second A6, but this first one is producing extremely close to the S7s, with less noise, and it cost less. Uses 1.1KW v. 1.4.
Also awaiting...the R4 does not excite me. We'll see.
Sorry for OT, but does the Avalon require a PC for a controller? I know you were having issues getting one setup a few days ago. Hopefully an A7 can be standalone as I don't want to shell out any more cash for another PC or Raspberry (never owned a Pi). Back on topic. This is a long network block. It would be nice for us to snag it!!!! you would need a rasp pi if it is like the avalon 4 or avalon 6 Thanks for the info. Was hoping that was not the case. Maybe the 7 will be stand-alone. I don't need anymore hardware than I already have!

No, that R4 doesn't excite me either.
