Try re-seating every connection.
Worked for me.
The S7-style boards are finicky.
I'll try doing that again to every cable on the miner later when I have to take the miners down because of storms. Thanks for response! Edit: Right now I'm only hashing with the two boards with the 3rd unplugged for safety.

I know this is off topic but definitely worth it to those who are in hot temperature areas.
I purchased awesome miner to try out the automatic frequency change option. Let me tell you, it works great during the heat of the day. Awesome miner drops my frequency automatically. Then when the temps drop it automatically turns them back up. I manually had to change frequency on all my miners twice per day. This software has been a life saver. Not to mention all the other amazing features it has. So those of you who are struggling with high temps this summer should really check it out.
Plus Patrik, is always available with quick responses for any trouble you may encounter. He also implements changes super fast. Awesome guy with great customer service.
Sorry for continued OT, but I use it also for that reason. Except I'm using it the old way using rules and triggers. I may switch it tonight to use the new feature. But, yes, even the old way works well. Back on topic..... Let's strive for THREE more BLOCKS Today! Come on BLOCCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

if they have one I would be willing to run a few group buys like I did for the avalon 6's
Philip, what's is the advantage of a group buy rather than individuals purchasing their own? Are there group discounts, or are these being bought and sent directly to a DC? Thanks!

BLOCK Baby! Now to get the 50 and 100 block stats to green. Let's get it all GREEN this weekend! BLOCKSSSSSSSS!

Price point would be an 1300-1400 Watt miner hashing 14-16 TH for around 1600-1800 $ with a controller on each miner… the shared controller thing kept me away from the A6 and A5. I do not like more connections to a miner besides power and Ethernet.
If it will hash @14-16TH in reality, for that price, I would most likely get at least one. I've never seen an Avalon in person, but from what I've read, they seem to be built like a beast. I would have to make some adjustments to my power layout in the mining room. But I'm sure it's doable. But, that's an exciting piece of news! Thanks!

Nothing definite yet, but as soon as they tell me a firm date I'll certainly post about it.
Most Excellent!

Avalon should be out ... soon Kano, do you have any guesstimates of hash power and pricing range? Thanks! I've never owned an Avalon, but will jump at the chance if speed and price point are favorable for me. Have a great day! Let's get some BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Look at the Hash Rate increase... It looks like Bitmain is finished swapping gear on Iceland. I heard that they made another controller board that is able to operate 6-8 blades in 1 miner..so a 30-40TH miner is possible. We are going to see some serious jump in diff and hash rate. From the looks of the S9 controller board, it appears you could plug in at least 8 more boards. Of course space would be at a premium with heat also potentially being an issue. Be nice to see some boards added by fall. (If they can get it all functioning well together! BLOCK AND..... LOt's of payouts!

Just got an s9 11.85.
Two boards only pull 780 watts. Two boards on my s7 pull 800 watts.
Can just switch them out one for one in the datacenter.
I don't *think* they are interchangeable. Could be wrong. If they are, I've got a dead S9 board that I'd love to swap for an S7 board. The idea had occurred to me but I didn't think it would work. Hope I'm wrong. I meant one whole s9 for one whole s7 S9's have a longer chassis, longer boards. Sorry, misunderstood.

HI, I've got the professional version. Right now it is at version 1.7.4. I have tried 4 or 5 times to get it to update to 1.7.5. It goes through the motions, but always comes back with the old version. Any suggestions? Thanks!! I tried to update on 2 different laptops. *** Never mind, it finally updated. (I should add I have only been able to get it to update on one laptop.) Still trying to get it to work.

Nice to see three blocks already for today with my morning coffee! Let's make it a banner day! Blocks, Blocks, and more Blocks! Unfortunately, I'll have to shut down my miners for most of the day because of rain storms. Thank goodness for my MRR rental. The rental found a block early this morning! More BLOCKSSSSSS!

How much disk does a full node need? It is just a Bitcoin wallet with the entire block chain downloaded?
84.7 GB right now. It's on a spare TB drive. Yes, but it is also processing transactions as I'm connected to anywhere from 8-15 peers at a time. Edit: It may be better on Linux, but my Linux laptop didn't have the space so it's on Win10. (A locked-down tight win10, I should add.) What are the benefits of running a full node besides helping the network? Do you actually get paid? I am thinking of setting up my own wallet recently too as my accumulation now nears 10 btc. I WISH you got paid a fraction on transactions!! But no, you're just helping the network process transactions faster. Also, I'm using the built in Core wallet for my coins and all of my keys. You can also choose the tx fee you wish to add to a spend for it to begin confirm in the length of time of your choosing. But I'm sure other wallets have that feature. I'm just doing it because I can and to take control of my coins and keys. Feels good to be able to help the network in some small way also. It's very easy to do.

A few Bitcoin cores running on several machines? Wait, they have to have their own ip on the Internet?
That is correct having several node cores running on the same network is pointless. You would have to have more than one public-facing IP address. And have the nodes on different subnets, probably. I think if you can run one, that would be sufficient.

A few Bitcoin cores running on several machines?
It would help the network. It doesn't use hardly any CPU or memory. Not sure how a number of them might effect your network. I have pretty fast cable internet and also use it for my TV, internet, miners, and it doesn't make a blip.
