Well, the last 3 blocks might not have been green, but at least they weren't red! I just noticed we have a heck of a lot of horsepower on the pool right now. Over 50PH. I hope they are all "good guys"! Let's find some blocks today!!!!

Will Bitmain Warranty in Colorado repair or send out a new board? I know I will have to pay for it either way, but would rather not send it to China. I didn't buy it from BM directly anyway.

Time to speak again of anime sacrifices...

Flashed the machine with the corresponding S9 600Mhz FW. No luck. Board is still dead. I guess I will contact BM.

I noticed the center board on one of my S9's was hashing 0.00 last night. It was still showing all O's across the ASIC chain for that board, but no hash. I rebooted and it would come back hashing. But 30 minutes or so later, it would go back to 0. The rebooting worked 2 or 3 times, but now the board is completely absent from the miner status page.
I have powered down a few times to see if it would come back but it didn't.
I tried to reset it a few minutes ago, but my few attempts at getting it to reset failed.
I can't try the reset again for a few hours as I had to shut down all my miners because of a major thunderstorm and my fans could suck in the pouring rain.
Any thoughts other than trying again to get it to reset? If the reset fails, would you suggest flashing as a possible solution? It's a batch 3.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks!
did you try to clock it lower? say 575 or 550? It was running at 575 today. I've got them on a schedule. When I can power them back up, I'll try a lower freq. Thanks! Out of curiosity what PSU are you using with it? Have you tried another PSU? Also have to ask with mention of schedule are you dealing with extreme heats? Scheduling tends to be for heat or sound just curious which one you are using for. I was using a btiman psu. Yes, I have tried switching out with 2 HP 1000's. Same result. The board on the right has no red light. Yes, I'm using the scheduler because during the day it can reach mid 90's F. But I'm pretty certain heat has not caused the problem as I keep a very watchful eye on all the temps and would always down-clock so my board temps stayed below 65 and the chip temps never got beyond the mid 90's. I am still seeking solutions. Haven't tried flashing yet, but I think the board is the problem. I will keep you updated.

Block! *You beat me to this one!* LOL. I had just posted about a sacrifice and hit post, then I saw a block was found a few seconds earlier. I then came back and edited my post.

Seems to be about time for a boat-load of anime character sacrifices. BLOCK

Whoops, spoke too soon. As soon as I set it to my pool and it restarted, the board is still not alive. %$#%^&&%$$ First board on the right, looking from the exhaust end, still has no red light. It was there until I changed pools. Back to the drawing board.

Fixed it!! I thought the center board, would of course line up with the center adaptor connector at the top. For lack of a better way of explaining it. So I unplugged the center board from the connector and plugged it into the one open connector. Still no joy. Finally, (like dumba$$) I looked and saw that it was the first board to my right which had no red light on it. So I unplugged that from the connector and plugged into the open connector. It worked. All three boards hashing. Now to remove it from Antpoo and put it back where it belongs.

I've gotten it to reset. No joy. I've also down-clocked to 500 and then 475. Same result. I'll try to reset again. Then I guess I will try to flash the miner if I can find the link to instructions on how to flash with the micro sd.

I apologize for my pissy mood in some of my last posts over the past few days. I've been ill since Thursday. My friends cat has brought fleas into my house and I'm battling an infestation. And then I've got a dead board in one of my miners. Couple all that with our lack of blocks and I haven't been in the best of moods. I'll do better. I promise! Let's get some BLOCKS!!!! Some green ones would be a nice start on recovery!

If I were some wild conspiracy nut, I might think that as more S9's are pointed at our pool, that our luck has gone sour.
It certainly seems to have. Last extended period of bad luck it was rentals, this time it's S9's. Maybe we are just having some bad luck? During the rental conspiracy I jumped ship. As luck would have it we started hitting blocks and I missed out on a good profit. Won't happen again with me. Luck is luck and it changes, it can't be good all the time. Well, I did say I wasn't a conspiracy nut. Just waiting on the luck to change....

After sleeping more than 13 hours, I wake to find we are still block-less for the mining day. Our block stats are looking pretty sad. After this next block is finally found, they will look even sadder. To top that off, the center board of one of my miners appears to have died. I've rebooted a few times without success. Not feeling well enough to go into the hot miner room to mess with it right now. Grrrr. Need a mini block spree to make this day less unprofitable. Maybe I should just go back to sleep and manifest blocks in my dreams...

If I were some wild conspiracy nut, I might think that as more S9's are pointed at our pool, that our luck has gone sour. But since I'm not, I can just blame it on my fever returning and I'm delirious.... and I'm just talking out of my a$$. Oops, that's a chocolate turkey cake.... Fever's getting higher.

Actually, wm, it was understandable. I got it...only just now got to read it. Sonny (clgrissom) took care of you, though. Cool! Mine on... Thanks for the understanding. LOL. I've been asleep on the couch most of the day feeling crappy. In hindsight, it was a dumb question. Since I log each block payment from the Payments page, it says right there in black and gray, the block #, the payout address, and the amount. With a clear head, I would know better. I wasn't thinking clearly when I asked the question right after waking up. (I think my fever broke sometime during the night as I woke up soaking wet. Feeling somewhat better now.) I was hoping for another block to finish the day. Unfortunately not. May the blocks come fast and furious as they did last weekend!

I have a question, please, hopefully not a dumb question that has been asked and answered a dozen times before... I have finally gotten Bitcoin Core installed and running well on a machine I plan on running 24/7. I just changed my payout address on Kano to send payouts to a newly generated address on my BTC Core. Does this go into effect immediately for blocks already found but not matured, or will I still receive payouts to my Coinbase until a new block is found. Just wondering if the payouts that may be already queued will still go to my old address. That sounds logical. Sorry if this question is not phrased very well. I think I'm coming down with the flu or something. I feel very foggy today. Let's start the week-end block party today and turn our board GREEN again! The payout address on file is what is used used when the block is found. If you change your address, it does not change for blocks that are already in your Payments and Rewards list. It will be used on the next block found after the change. Thanks. that was what I was thinking. Although you might not have been able to tell from the way the question was so poorly constructed. LOL
