What subforum do you think I could post in to check why my S7 has one board going over 70C at 612Mhz while the other two are at 63C. Do you think it might need internal cleaning?

Hardware forum would be best.

I just lost connection to my miners for about 5 minutes. It looks like something happened on the pool also. Big hash drop. ?

This stubborn block is beginning to annoy me.  Lips sealed
I thought our 413.102% diff block from 2 days ago would cover the nasty blocks for at least a week or so.  Tongue

The pool average for Invalids is 402.4k (0.36%) · 3.9G (0.34%) so you are well below that.  My 145TH/s is running at 0.196% invalids but most of that is coming from my 2 Avalon A721's which are at 0.796% for some reason.  It never seems to hurt anything so I just keep on mining! Grin

Yeah, I always compare my stales against the pool. I realize I'm way under it. Just that it was higher than I could remember seeing recently. That caused me to take a closer look. I agree, nothing to be the least bit concerned about!  Smiley

I'm running about 120ths with 0.133% error rate. The majority of which are also stales. I'm assuming from machines returning work just after a network block change. I've a mixture of machines from Bitemain, Avalon, and Ebang. The bulk of which are colocated in a data center.  I wouldn't stress too much about your error rate.

Yeah, I'm not stressing over it. The stales just seem to be a little higher than normal. Might have been an ISP hiccup, network hiccup or my network itself. Or a combination of all three - plus other gremlins. Who knows.   Grin

My miners put out a total ~51-52TH has rate. (One S9 is only running 2 of three boards. Then I have an S7 (F1) (one-fan miner) running at the end of the hallway. It keeps cool by the breeze through the bedroom window. That miner behaves and keeps cool very easily.
As long as BTC is high, that miner is still profitable for me to use that S7.

Ready for a BLOCK-A-LANCH!!!!!!  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Pardon me if this might be construed as "off-topic", but it is about my miners on Kano pool.  Cheesy

Between my one S7(F1) and my four S9's, I have an error rate of 0.153%. Most all of that error rate is because of stales when I look deeper. Is there anything I can do on my end to decrease "stales"? Is it possibly a network issue? Would restarting my cable modem and router be of any help?

Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill??  Tongue

Currently, there are four lap tops connected via wireless in my house. Two of the laptops are doing nothing. One laptop has Core running on it. And the final laptop is my main/everyday use laptop. It's the one I'm typing on here.
The Internet here is cable with 10GB up and 60GB down, I doubt I'm using a fraction of that between my laptops a four S9's a one S7.

Any comments or suggestions welcome! Thank you.  Cheesy

This is what happens whenever you have anything of great value (i.e. 1 BTC = $2000 USD) there will always be those who seek to control it to get rich.  They will find a way to cram the segwit BS down our throats one way or another just so they can control BTC.  Angry

Another reason I won't update my full node is because it makes the changes available in newer versions of core. I have Core v0.13 and won't upgrade until I'm forced to!!! Angry
Don't know if my single node makes any difference at all, but I'm being stubborn the best way I can! Any other ideas I'm open to and are appreciated!  Cheesy

Not sure if you've been paying attention to the latest UASF/BIP148 crazyness.

What's BIP 148

From what I understand, BIP148 is a feeble attempt to get users to begin a hard fork down the dark alley of segwit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong (which I probably am).

I know I will continue mining BTC and not some crap coin the promoters will come up with.

EDIT: I just Googled it.... Here is someones explanation from BitcoinTalk

"BIP 148 specifies that Starting on August 1st, all blocks must signal for segwit. This is enforced by having a majority of users and miners running BIP 148 nodes so that that rule is enforced. This will mean that segwit will activate by miner signalling per the current BIP 9 deployment."

235  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: About viabtc on: May 21, 2017, 05:19:35 PM
You know that we have heard this week often and we know that you are cheating on the viabtc users you see. Now I would like advice on what pool to run the 4 s9 mining devices. After the viabtc obfuscation, I removed my devices from the viabtc.

Don't know anything about these accusations and could not care less since my four S9's are on Kano.is. But if you are moving your S9's to another pool, might as well give Kano a try. Completely transparent and honest pool that is growing by the day. (Should be up another 10PH by the end of the month.)

Get in and get your 5ND up to the appropriate level and you should be happy that you did. I'm currently pulling in a nice reward per month and the transaction fees ROCK! Give it a try if you want, or if not interested, don't. That's pretty simple.

We need more blocks and more luck Smiley It seems that BTC per THs is reduced from 0.00035732 on April 26 to 0.00021599 today. But the number of blocks is 2 on average. I am not sure whether it's entirely due to difficulty or not.

I was once like you are. LOL  Tongue (I can't remember what song that lyric sorta goes with.... Oh yeah!! Neil Young "Old Man")

Anyway, I've found the best way to deal with the symptoms you are experiencing is to:

1) Kick back
2) Relax
3) Don't worry about it
4) Let the blocks come to you
5) Do NOT chase (or feed) the blocks!
6) Breathe slowly and deeply, in and out
7) The blocks will come
Cool Your blood pressure will decrease
9) Your balance will accumulate
10) Bitcoin price will rise
11) The blocks WILL come to you
12) Your balance will accumulate

When you say "low electricity" what do mean?

Plug in your information and see for yourself what the costs will be and any potential profits will be with a mining calculator.
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator

You may want to check out a few different calculators. Some give you more/better information than others. Combined, they will give you the big picture.

The speed of your internet connection is inconsequential. Mining is not internet intensive. Just need a stable internet connection.
Air conditioning may not be the issue. AC will be fine to cool off the room, but you REALLY need a way to vent the heat outside of the room. That is one of the most important, IMHO.

Thanks for you opinion,
I meant "cheap electricity" there,
will work on venting the heat outside,

But is it profitable to start with just one miner nowadays on these conditions?

I have no way of answering that question if you don't say what your electric cost is. That was why I asked.
I don't care if you call it "low" or "cheap". What is the cost?
