Here ya go. I used Imgur's utility. It's easier than it used to be.

Ahhh, I figured out how to do it in the forum! After the opening img tag, add the size, width and height like so "[i mg width=100 height=100]", then the image link, then the closing tag. "[/img]"

Somebody will crack it soon enough  Wink

Im just passing the time rebuilding and re-imaging my old HP Proliant DL380 Server.

"Soon enough" is NEVER soon enough for me when the blocks go over 24-hours. LOL
But I know there's nothing I can do about it other than sit back, relax, and let it happen whenever it gets damn good and ready. Smiley

EDIT: And I know Kano says you shouldn't measure blocks by time. We're just lacking some of the horsepower we have had in the past. Not to mention the difficulty increase. And variance.
So, it is what it is.  Wink
Or is it??  Grin

I was looking at my invalids again and since all of my invalids are from stale shares, I thought I would post a picture to see if they are within normal ranges. Thanks for any feedback! Smiley

Well the pool average at the moment is 0.27% so your doing better than that.

I've no idea what an S9 is supposed to get, but a stale means it arrived at the pool after the block changed, so either it's one of:
1) network hops to the pool
2) your source network
3) S9 is slow getting work out sometimes

But again, in your case it's better than the pool average.

Thanks for your reply, Kano.

I didn't notice the pool average until you just mentioned it. At least I'm glad my miners are better than the pool average.
When I have some time I will delve into the possibilities.
Thanks! Smiley

Edit: Average time over 10 pings: 38.18 ms

Tracert 8 hops, 42 ms

Those seem good. Since I am in Western North Carolina USA, the main node seems like it would be a given. But I will try some other nodes later just to see a comparison.

EDIT 2: What does "Hi" indicate under invalids? (I just looked up 'Hi" using Search.)
Now I have multiples of those for each miner and my pool 5 minute hash rate is almost 10TH less than what my Awesome Miner app says it is.
I'm slightly confused. LOL. But that's nothing new. Smiley

Never mind. I must be just a little OCD today. My workers are all set to 0 under management so not sure why they would all suddenly submit shares that were out of the difficulty range. Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it.
Time to watch some football.

MINE ON! and...
COME ON DOWN BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'm so tempted to plug in my two working S7's for an additional 8-9TH. But they would have to be plugged in somewhere other than the coin room as I'm out of outlets in there. Decisions, decisions.... Smiley  Huh

Oh, wait, I only have one more power supply... But it is an EVGA 1600, so could go anywhere. If the BTC price continues to climb a bit more it will make that decision a little easier.

EDIT: Maybe I'll just hold out and see if there is going to be a new Avalon. That would probably be a better use for my electricity.

I hope this isn't too far off topic as it does relate to our pool.

When I choose "Show Details for Invalids" on the Workers page, all of my invalids are the result of stale shares.
They indicate 1,2 or 3 invalids and one miner is showing 7 invalids. EDIT: The stales have increased since I first posted this.

Is there anything I can do on my end to decrease or eliminate these stale shares? My Internet has always been basically flawless. Is it a miner issue?
Thanks for any info or tips!

Happy to see two blocks so far on this 1st day of October! Smiley Let's add two or three more!!  Grin Grin Grin

On Kano's cue, I checked ping times for all the nodes from here, and ended up with the main US node being the fastest for me. Someone suggested I go for the SG node, but seeing as how I'm in the middle of the Pacific, just because SG is (perhaps) physically closer than LV doesn't mean it's any faster. The signal actually has to go through two more loops to get there from here...or back. There are so many factors involved in latency...anyway...

Since I don't have a complete understanding of invalids or stales (just too lazy, I guess, to get into it since I haven't had a problem with it), I'm hesitant to comment further...dunno what I'm talking about...  Kiss

I'm pointed to the main node. Since I'm on the US East coast, sort of, that would seem the closest. I haven't tried pings on any of the nodes to see if I get better results. Too lazy also. LOL Wink

On a side-note, the temperature has really plunged where I live! It's 49 F outside now and supposed to be low 40's before day break. That makes my S9's happy and the chip temp is in the mid/upper 70's. (No rain for at least another 5-6 days!! Smiley )

Looking forward to when it gets below freezing outside and I will over-clock the S9's by about 25Mhz. That will help a little. I'll have to see how they react individually to an over-clock. I know one of them will do 14TH easily. (They are all 12.9 miners except one which is an 11.
Block time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on down!  Grin Grin Grin

Sorry for this little bit of OT: Today is my last day of work & there is no way I'm gonna finish everything I wanted and I have a "table or view does not exist" oracle error coming from a really old app that I tried to migrate to a new server (and no source code - Ugh!) & I checked all the tables & views and they DO exist so it's making me crazy. Well, I'm just gonna have to leave that puzzle to the new guy...he's younger, smarter, & better looking than me (the punk - hahaha Grin) so he'll figure it out.

Best to you, friend. New job, or like some of us old(er) diamond dwarfs (miners), retired?  Roll Eyes
Thank you very much! I'm in the older crowd...retired Grin
Of course I ended up working 13 hours today because I just had to clean up some loose ends. Hasn't hit me yet that come Monday I won't have to jump on the treadmill. Four more years before I'll collect soc sec so I may look for a little part time work to give some fun money in the meantime. Peace  Smiley

Congrats!! I start a new IT job on Monday. I've been playing with IT since the early 90's, so I'll probably be working in that area until I die. LOL
I've about 7 years till I can get my full soc sec. It won't be enough to live on, however. Sad but that's how it is.
Best wishes to you!

It's nice to see the BTC price poking its head above $606 for a change. If that SOB ever gets around $800 or so, I'll crank up my three S7's and find SOMEWHERE to plug them in! Smiley

In the mean time, nice to see four blocks today!!!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Let's hope we can do that on a semi-regular basis even with our lowered pool hash rate. As I mentioned earlier, the lower pool hash rate means a higher block percentage for us miners.
Mine on and let's get some Saturday BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Smiley Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I would love to add some more hash power, but I'm maxed at ~50TH or so. No more renting for me. Too much uncertainty and no return on investment.
I do certainly wish we could add 5 or 6 more PH to the pool. Sad to see it so low. But on the bright side, I'm getting a higher block %. But these one or two block days - or no block days! are painful. Hope to see things improve soon! Smiley
717  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: September 30, 2016, 06:05:38 PM
What's wrong with the pool? There is less and less blocks found in previous day?

Is this a serious question?

I can not explain the statistics on the last day? ;-)

Last month the daily average was about 13 Blocks per day.

I worked for the pool since 1.5 months, help me to understand... Huh or no luck today in the mining pool ...

It all depends on luck, you will have good days, bad days, etc.

Additionally, the difficulty has increased since then.

I started mining with kano on April 8th this year . Almost 6 months ago . If i remember correctly ,During this time we never had a 50 hours time frame without block  Undecided Cry

We have one now (a block over 50 hours, that is.)  Angry

I guess the recent difficulty increase as well as random luck has smacked us pretty hard. Looking to get this block-from-hell behind us!
719  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+PH] Kano CKPool kano.is 0.9% PPLNS US,DE,SG,JP,FR,NL on: September 29, 2016, 05:18:03 AM

529.00%. But I do recall we had 666.66%

Don't feel bad for blocks.  I have a 2th s7ln on a pool and we just hit a block today it is a small pool more then 4400 hours.

Don't think I would feel very good about hitting that block. LOL
720  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+PH] Kano CKPool kano.is 0.9% PPLNS US,DE,SG,JP,FR,NL on: September 29, 2016, 02:12:33 AM
Does luckyant REALLY have almost 15PH pointed at this sucky block??? Man-O-man!

And if luckyant has brought that much weight to the party where did all the other hashrate go since we are still down overall?

Well, lukyant is now GONE and our pool hash rate has gone up slightly. You can count me as one who is slightly confused.  Huh

STILL, this %#$@%&*(**^%$$$ block persists. Without having to look, I'd guess this is one of the largest % blocks we have had. Certainly since I've been here I think. But my memory isn't the best....  Tongue
As always with luckyant, it was a failover.

... and I guess I should post this CDF table again Tongue
Code:
 0.39346934028737   50.000%  1 in 1.6
 0.63212055882856  100.000%  1 in 2.7
 0.77686983985157  150.000%  1 in 4.5
 0.86466471676339  200.000%  1 in 7.4
 0.95021293163214  300.000%  1 in 20.1
 0.98168436111127  400.000%  1 in 54.6
 0.99326205300091  500.000%  1 in 148.4
 0.99752124782333  600.000%  1 in 403.4
 0.99872735771441  666.666%  1 in 785.8
 0.99908811803445  700.000%  1 in 1096.6
 0.99966453737210  800.000%  1 in 2981.0
 0.99987659019591  900.000%  1 in 8103.1
e.g. 1 in 148.4 blocks is expected, on long term average, to be over 500%

Leave it to Kano to throw some mathematics at us! LOL  Cheesy
So I guess we were over due for a +400% block and actually overdue for a +500% block. Joy!  Wink

When the levee breaks, hopefully a deluge of LIME GREEN BLOCKS will follow. That has usually been the case!
