1361  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 21, 2023, 01:56:50 PM
I am strongly in favour of desktop applications or even web based, as I think that phones are usually to small and I do not really trust much the apps, but there seems to be many people who would rather use their phone. Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer? It may also be a regional issue, the same as people that do not use a browser?
I consider the ambiance of using a desktop suitable if I'm gambling as I've preferred not to move the screen left and right or up and down as it only distracts me. The wide view helps to clearly see what happened. However, we can find the advantage of using the phone for gambling as you can carry them wherever you are.
But anyways, it all depends on us as gamblers. We choose what we think is comfortable for us.
1362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 21, 2023, 12:48:09 PM
Are we now on crypto bull run or this yet to be go down futher more down than 15500?
I think we have done with the bottom already and the price is started to pick up again which is good but I couldn't expect that it will reach far $20k. The market is not already in a bullish state, we have these pumps because of a sudden increase in demand but it looks natural. The uprising momentum of Bitcoin isn't strong enough to carry the market to another level. Whether we like it or not, or even though we are hoping for a fast recovery but it was very unfortunate that it never looks like that. The market remain in the bear season probably until the end of this year.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 21, 2023, 12:25:50 PM
There is this thing about shopping and airlines that when you check and forget, they send you bonus or discount for your possible shopping/trip. Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.
If you are just doing this for sake of having those bonuses, you are actually wasting your time and it was not reasonable enough. It was not worth it to do the registration if you just leave after. Why not use the platform instead to make sense of doing this. Of course, they will send you bonuses as they have promised and make you play using free coins but if you are not really interested in them, it is best not to do that anymore. You are not making them a fool but also yourself as well.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 21, 2023, 09:56:46 AM
New coins, like Aptos or Solana, are growing very well right now. It seems to me that time-tested coins will also start to rise soon, if not now a bull trap. Therefore there is still time to look at the market behaviour to decide on purchases.
They are growing but never found the reason why, how reliable it was? It seems to be like a trap waiting for the investors. I'm not going to put risk in them but rather take a look at the BNB and ETH. Buying potential coins while they are still in the correction seems to be a great idea. Might not be the best coin to invest with but what I need is profit assurance which is unlikely to happen from hyped projects.
We don't just think about earning by tomorrow but instead of thinking about the future.
1365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 21, 2023, 03:26:44 AM

It's better to use small amount of starting capital, amount that you can afford to lose when you are starting in this business, it's true that the value of learning is more important when you are a beginner.

It's tough to use huge amount and mistakenly position your trade as the chance of losing is very possible
at the beginning, unlike when you already gained knowledge that you can use, the chance of making decent
amount of profits is very possible.
Besides, earning huge is possible when we already have deep knowledge about trading. Those who are in hurry usually got failed and lose their money. Putting a small amount while we are still learning is good enough to have more experience and it was not hurt to feel if ever we lose. For me, $100 is good enough, not that small but not also huge to lose if we got mistakes. So instead of thinking about earning quickly, we better focus first on how to adapt to the situation and enhance our knowledge and skills as they are the tools that could help us to grow. Because it makes no sense if we do trading and use huge amounts but in the end, we lose them all, and we only got disappointed.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 20, 2023, 09:36:51 PM
FTX, Celsius, Voyager,  and soon Luna ( probably )... all making ridiculous gains in this BTC rally.
Meanwhile some coins with good fundamentals and strong utility ( like Chainlink ) are doing poorly...  Huh C'mon...
Perhaps, it was not new for me to see these things happen in the market. Sometimes we got fooled by the developers, many projects have really a good start and gain the interest of the investors but as the competition continues, the momentum has changed and started to decline. I'd say it was not because of having the good fundamentals but it is all because of how the developer and the team work on their project to continue giving their product and services to the community.

1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 20, 2023, 09:17:55 PM
Based on my observation, if you invest after the bitcoin halving, then your investment in it should be short-term because the price starts rising soon and you should try to catch the highest price and sell your bitcoins to profit from the bull market, so the rise of price lasts for one year, then the market crashes and charts decline.
But when you invest after the crash of bull market and the start of bear market, then your investment should be long-term, I mean you should leave your coins untouchable for at least 4 years, till the next halving.

So, to sum up, the mixture of short and long-term investment looks more attractive for me.
Wise investors will always take the best option if it is possible, whether it was a short-term or long-term investment but as long as they will gain profit, that is still okay. And base on your example, he can choose not to sell his/her Bitcoin after halving but to wait for the next cycle if his plan is long-term. But I think is not, he/she preferred to enter during halving because he wanted to sell them in a few days - meaning this person is literally a short-term holder, not because of the market situation.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin increased my mental awareness on: January 20, 2023, 02:24:23 PM

1. You must split your coins in 2-3 wallets, to avoid losing all your coins if they are all in one wallet. But then you don't know what types of wallets to use.
2. You find what wallets to use. But then you must decide which wallet will hold the keys to the address with the majority of your money.
3. Then, you realise you must have backups for all your wallets. But how many backups and what types of backups.
4. You make the backups for each wallet. But then you must find where to store the backups.
5. You find a place to store the backups. But then you are not sure if the backups are safe.

...And I keep repeating all the steps, again and again...

Perhaps, it was necessary and a must to do in order to avoid tragic losses that commonly happen to beginners. If we all have that kind of idea, I guess only a fool person can be lost their money and lose control of their wallet.

Something I missed during my early days here but good thing I have not had bad experiences with it. But even if we do all of these things, we can't still be confident nor we can assure 100% secured from any hack attacks. Might be lucky if we are not their target but we never know in the future. But the idea of not using a single wallet to store our funds really makes sense this time since hackers are also getting smarter.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of NFT on: January 20, 2023, 01:47:23 PM
I think it is an individual opinion and I believe that not all are having positive insights into these projects and I'm one of them. Maybe it was early to give some negative conclusion about NFT but because of having a bad experience in the past were I bought some of them (arts), now it turns just like a collection that I can no longer sell for a profit which I'd never think this will happen to me. It could be the reason to think about the dark future of NFT, they are just like ICO before when the hype is done they also gradually disappear.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 20, 2023, 01:08:45 PM
I personally say that both teams have good system just so happen that Boston outplayed the Warriors in final
quarter and manage to complete the win in OT.

True, because this is the same team that beat the Celtics and won the championship. They are even better this season as Thompson was already back, he can score with great consistency compared to his game last season when he just came back from a long rest due to injury. I would not be happy if the Lakers lose to a bad team, but this is the Celtis, the number 1 team in the East and playing at home.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: January 20, 2023, 12:41:55 PM
Have seen few discussion in this board about odd providers limiting user accounts, I assume they must be tracking user's accounts across multiple casinos by email address, kyc is triggered later.

My question is, would it be possible to circumvent such imposition by simply using different emails while registering on different casinos?

That's not a good idea as your IP might still be traced, which will result in you making a violation gambling with different accounts in one platform. The best thing to do is just to gamble on different gambling sites, that way you'll be safe and you can sleep well at night.

1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 19, 2023, 01:49:30 AM
Or probably this is another classic example of how corrupt WBC. And I will admit that we love boxing, but sometimes this is the main reason why it is becoming trash, with all the politics and so we haven't see the fight that we want.

Hope that boxing fans will not support that fight lol.

Defending a 147lbs title in a 154lbs fight, there's even no need for an explanation on this on why it becomes a bullsh*t match.

A clear ducking to the supposed mandatory fight. Can't blame Spence's camp only as they are just being under but the whole WBC themselves are ruining the fun.

So there's a chance now that this fight will not happen again? If this would be true, then I guess people will start blaming the camp of Spence again as he is good at ruining a fight that he thinks he can lose. He grab an easy win on Ugas but made excuses on Pacman, LOL, this champion is hilarious.
1374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 18, 2023, 09:43:47 PM

People take trading, Bitcoin investment and even gambling as a get rich quick scheme which very wrong though there are people who have made great winnings and profits in gambling and also in trading in a very short space/ period or at a time.
Revenge gambling mostly comes when one begins chasing their losses and that is one thing I barely do, not lately anymore and it really helped.
It was the first look of the majority who are here in crypto but it has changed along the way as they had also learned what really it is.
It was time to correct that views and also the mindset of the newcomers, and we have to think about the consequences of being here having no knowledge and skills. If we lose yesterday or even today, we have to leave that way as it usually happens but we never chase them and put pressure on getting it back as this could only lead us to lose more.
1375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: January 18, 2023, 09:25:28 PM
It looks like there will be some sort of situation where its going to be pretty tough to end up with a big deal in the upcoming months. I mean it is obvious that we are higher, and it is obvious that everyone wants it to be even higher, but I do not think that its going to be "that" much higher in the upcoming months, not at least for a month or two. I am guessing that it will take a bit to the end of spring, or even maybe Q4 before we could see a high price. Just because 2023 could be good, doesn't mean it will be February or march, it could be September or October that is better and higher.
People are too excited to see the market bullish again, they are obviously impatient. But the problem is that OP is in doubt about what will happen in the market, pretty sure OP isn't sure if he buy now, he could hold if the market will dump again. Many people have bought their crypto during the bull season but then sell them during the bear season because of its wrong timing. This is the thing I see in OP. Being undecided about what we gonna do mostly end in regrets.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 18, 2023, 01:09:25 PM

Also, Donaire is more suited in the bantamweight division rather than looking for a title at 115 pounds as I'm inclined that his career might end sooner that what he expected. Having a fight against Moloney for the vacant title is already a good opportunity for Donaire to display his prowess again in this division that he was once a champion, it will be a perfect bout for him to test if he can still do few more fights or it's time for him to hang up his gloves.

It's such a waste to go on retirement soon when he still feeling it and he still can punch to knock out his opponent. since this boxing industry gathers huge money, it's really hard for those like Donaire to turn away from offers while he still can box and can give the fans excited when he fights in the ring. I think he will stop when he will gonna suffers the same loss again when he will gonna be knockout out cold or can no longer take some punches like how he used to be in his prime. right now, his speed is not the same anymore, and when he retires he will be soon fighting celebrity boxers if he still wants to make money from boxing.

Whether we like it or not, Donaire will be retiring soon, he is already 40 years old and that's already old in boxing now. He suffer many losses already, one was against Inoue which was his recent loss, but of course, he has a chance to be a champion again as Inoue has already moved up in weight. So it's nice if he will just retire as a champion in case he'll be a champ again.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 18, 2023, 12:50:07 PM
Lol. What the hell is happening with SMB management even Terrence Romeo is included in the trade rumors. I'd rather change the Coach than trade these key players. If this will happen, I'm not surprised if Fajardo will be traded as well after a few more years without getting a championship. They even traded Cabagnot and Arwind Santos before, so they will do the same. As usual, trades will always be approved, under the table?

I don't think they will trade Fajardo, he is still playing. They have to remember that JMF was the one brining plenty of championships for the team, trading him is an insult especially if he can still produce close to what he can during his prime or when he is not prone to injury yet.

Maybe Romeo will be traded because of the injury problem, certainly there are some teams who would be interested on him.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 17, 2023, 09:43:33 AM
In general, the thoughts of rich people are always positive and always ready to lose their capital, always ready to gamble or sacrifice the money they will use.

They always dream big for their family and other reasons, and "They always think Big, Big Dreams, always dare to fail, and So on". That's how they think they take whatever it takes not just doing all their best only.
It's true that the mindset of the rich is more or less like that and the mindset of the poor will be different,
Environmental factors also influence the formation of mindset,
those rich people will think how to double their money and be ready for risks.
They work differently because these two poor and rich people have different views on the future.
Rich people spend their money on something that could give them returns or profit while poor people spend their money on something don't have. They don't afraid to risk their money because they believe that it works fine and with a plan. But poor people don't do it because they already think about failure and losses.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 17, 2023, 06:01:20 AM
Bad decision by the coach of Bay Area, they didn't play Powell with heavy minutes knowing this is the last game. If only he was given a chance to played heavy minutes, certainly there's a good chance they can make it a close game and maybe win the game. If only Nicholson wasn't injured, things could be different, I mean Ginebra can still win but it will not be a blowout win.

35 minutes of playing time aren't that bad. The Coach of Bay Area Dragons knows what he's doing. Smiley

When Dragons already know that they can't keep up with Ginebra even how hard they tried, there's no point in risking Powell more.

There's a better stage for the Dragons compared to winning the PBA Finals. They need to become healthy on the real stage, the EASL Championship series.

Maybe the timing is just wrong because they didn't give him enough minutes in the 1st half. He only played more when the lead was not manageable anymore, if there was a time restriction, then he should not be played 35 minutes.

Lam has the longest minutes with 44.
https://pba.ph/recap?match=2228269

Coach did not gave him more minutes in the first half because he knows that Bay Area are good in the first half, so he was just preparing him to go full blast in the 2nd half. Unfortunately for the Bay Area, they were outscored in the 1st half, I mean hugely dominated and since Ginebra is a 2nd half team, that didn't anymore give the dragon more chance to come back.

I was not able to bet on the early games.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Houston Rockets @ 2.75

Los Angeles Lakers (19-24) will host the Hoston Rockets (10-33) tonight at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers lost yesterday by a point against the Philadelphia 76ers and will be rearing to win this game.

I like this pick actually because everyone is probably thinking that Lakers would win tonight because they are up against a weak team. Both teams are very desperate, Lakers so desperate to improve their ranking to qualify in the play-in, while the Rockets so desperate to break their cold streak.
